(Manehattan, Equestria, 1 day after the Warriors sinking, Torians POV)

After the Honoluna arrived in the Manehattan pier the Warrior was supposed to be docked in, A large crowd was waiting for us there and with the great loss of life aboard the vessel, Id say this will feel like the Titanics aftermath.

When the ship was moored and the gangways were released, the surviving ponies disembarked while I felt extremely sad that not only did my dream ship sink, but the 1,303 ponies who were killed and I felt responsible and were to pay the ultimate price. The Princesses were already on the pier waiting as they felt relieved that the ponies walking off the ship were safe, I was even happy that some of my crew, Octavia, Vinyl, Steel Craft, and Coal Burner survived.

As me and my friends left the Honoluna, I went to the Princesses with a solemn look of shame. "Princesses, I feel awful for this and did everything in my power to save as many souls, but with over 1,303 gone, I feel as if I need a punishment as I was in command of the Warrior and I take full responsibility." I said sadly as I knelled down before Celestia, Luna, and Cadence awaiting what punishment I was to be given.

"We want to know how this all started before we make a decision." Celestia said with concern as I went to grab Coal Burner since he was in Boiler room 4 when it exploded.

"Im Chief Stoker Coal Burner, you highnesses and I was in Boiler room 4 when it exploded from a coal storage unit, the logical explanation is that the AC unit inside the unit failed allowing the heat inside the storage unit and causing a fire, the fire spread down toward some coal dust and it ignited. Now Its not the captains fault your highnesses so please don`t punish him, he did try everything to save as many ponies as possible and the ship had less than an hour and with many boats and the list, there wasn1t much hope."

As the Princesses began to discuss something a large black crystal appeared behind us and a portal like aura appeared within it. Ponies began to run away except me, the Princesses and my marefriend and Ponyville friends. We all stared as a familiar hoof came from it and out came the Shadow King, Sombra.

"Sombra, we meet again!" I said with a little rage.

"Ahh yess, if it isn`t the human that helped me conquer the Crystal Empire, its good to see you." Sombra said with an evil grin.

"King Sombra, you have alot of nerve to return after what happened at the Crystal Empire, what do you want?" Cadence said with anger as Sombra snickered.

"What I want is not the Empire, but all of Equestria and I will not do it alone this time, for I have taken an apprentice under my hoof." The King announced.

"What kind of pony would let you be their master?" Luna said mockingly.

"Not a pony Princess, but a human who had discovered dark magic and has as much hate as I do and I think he might know who you are." Sombra said and pointed at me before another figure appeared, looking more human and he was wearing black clothing, had the same purple mist flowing out of his green eyes and red pupils.

"Hello, Brother." He smiled as I was left in complete shock.

"B-Brother? But Mom and Dad never mentioned-" I said before I was cut off.

"Mom and Dad were the reason I joined Sombra, after you were born and the crops were beginning to fail, I found a book about dark magic and used it to save our crops with the help of my friends, But Mom and Dad said they were going to get rid of the book and I`ll lose my friends, so I ran away and survived on my own for the next 25 years until I met Sombra." Jaylen said with a hiss.

"But Jaylen, Without you I was miserable, Mom and our younger sister died of starvation and Dad died in a mine collapse. But now that I know your alive, we can be brothers." I tried to relive him but he was too far gone.

"Hahahaha, Mom and Dad are dead? Excellent, Now we can get rid of you and the Princesses and those pesky Elements of Harmony and conquer this world." Jaylen said with triumph.

"What did I do to you and why do you need to conquer this world just because Mom and Dad-" I asked before getting cut off again by Jaylen whistling and about 6 shadow figures appeared surrounding us.

"These are my friends and theyve helped me grow strong before Sombra found me and they have been more of a family to me and if yo wont accept that, then maybe you should join Mom and Dad as well." Jaylen said as he wielded a shadow sword.

I pulled out my obsidian blade as well and took a battle stance, while Sombra looked on the Princesses and the 6 Shadow creatures took on the Element bearers.

With one swift motion we swung each others blades into one another and our fight commenced as Sombra and the Princesses fought and each shadow creature took on an Element of Harmony.

I broke contact with Jaylens blade and put in Grandfathers sword fighting techniques to the ultimate test. As I swung in at offense and went defensive in an orderly transaction. First blood was drew when I caught Jaylen off-guard and gave him a cut on his right arm. With the fight far from over, I didn`t know how skilled my brother was, but there is only one way to find out.

But catching me off guard he used dark magic and shot a beam at me with his hand. I sustained some damage and thinking I wasn`t paying attention, he charged at me. I unfurled my mis-matched bat and pegasi wings I propelled myself up into the air for him to overshoot and I managed to get behind him tap his shoulder, turning around to meet my fist to his face.

After dueling it out like 2 knights wanting the Princess`s hand in marriage, We were both cut up and were damaged, but neither of us broke our fighting spirit.

"Give it up Jaylen, I was trained by the best swordsman, I don`t want to kill you so just surrender." I tried to reason with him.

"Never, We will rule this kingdom and you aren`t going to stand in my way." Jaylen retorted as we got ready to fight once more.

"So be it." Was all I said before our blade`s clash once more. But as our fight commenced again, King Sombra was battered and weak by his fight with the battle-wounded Celestia and Luna, Cadence was sucked into her worst nightmare.

"Give it up Sombra, You`ll never win." Celestia ordered as Sombra only smiled.

"Oh Princess, you should know I`ll win one way or another."

"Wanna bet!" Luna shouted as the 2 alicorns fired at the unicorn only to be deflected by a black crystal.

"Come Jaylen, let us go." Sombra said as the 2 human brothers were stuck in a stalemate.

Then Jaylen shoved me and I stumbled to the ground as he got to Sombra and said before teleported off to God knows where.

"Til we meet again brother."

As the 6 shadow creatures fighting off the Mane 6 morphed into one, it scurried off somewhere as I dropped my sword and fell to my knees, not from the pain but from the heartbreak that my own brother betrayed me and became one with the darkness. Minuette was the first to comfort me as the others joined in until Celestia came up to me while Luna tended to Cadence.

"Torian, me and my sister decided not to punish you for the tragedy of the Warrior and we will try to locate the ship`s wreck."

I felt a little better at the news and got up and replied.

"Thanks Celestia, but I think I just want to be home now."

"I understand." Celestia says as I grabbed my sword and walked to the train station as the others followed.

This was only the beginning, with my brother serving King Sombra, Im up against a new challenge, hopefully I dont have to kill him, but if I do... Then may it leave his soul cleanand join the rest of my family in heaven.

Hey ponies and bronies, Golden here and man was this fun to write, Not only a new story arc, but more action is yet to come, but like all villains that have been defeated and escape, they`ll grow stronger.

Secondly, school is in the way of why some of these chapters are later than others, so I`ll find a system that benefits me and the limited time I get.
