‘What the… ugh my head hurts, why does my legs feel so sore? Isn’t it supposed to be cold..? Why is there warmth-- oh my god who is pony?!’
The Great and Powerful Trixie was not having one of the best mornings so far, her heart race doubled, her eyes shot open, and a numbly-panicky feeling crawled over her chest and completely froze her abdomen like a freeze ray. Her head pounded in pain, as each heartbeat was in a sadistic rhythm with her brain’s thumping, it hurt the worst by her left eye.
Trixie’s hind-legs felt sore, as if she did a ferocious workout session involving her legs and thighs, did a marathon race with both Rainbow Crash and Apple-Whack, and to top it all off: suffer a terrible carriage crash involving an empty foal stroller, three mischievous fillies, and a cabbage vendor who seems to have the worst luck since that grey Pegasus with the mismatched eyes.
Equestria has hit her coldest year yet, the coldest temperature drop ever recorded in almost four decades. Even the warm parts of Appleloosa isn’t safe from the intensity of snow, even though there shouldn’t be snow there at all. If Trixie was anywhere truly in her wagon, where she’d be safe. Cold, yes, but safe from the snow that’ll destroy her with the sheer intensity of frost bite.
However, this isn’t Trixie’s bed. Trixie knows this because her blankets are not this soft, or thick, or warm in fact. Trixie has a softer mattress without any sheets, they’re being used as an extra covers, and Trixie’s pillows don’t exactly smell like vanilla and nutmeg. They should smell more like… Trixie… and the blue unicorn knows for a fact that she doesn’t smell like vanilla and nutmeg, because nutmeg burns her nose.
Not to mention the body nuzzling into her chest, which completely smells like nutmeg, and it stings Trixie’s nose like gingerbread. Trixie flicked her ears annoyingly at the gentle sound of breathing, it wasn’t the breathing of a stallion, and if a stallion does end up breathing like that for any reason whatsoever shouldn’t be considered a male, it was more feminine.
Trixie would have rolled away, opened her eyes again and shoved this pony away, if she could move her fore-legs. Trixie gingerly cracked her eyes open slightly to find a knotted rope that tied Trixie’s front legs together, the rope led to a collar on the pony beneath her. The pony, as far as Trixie’s pain-filled head could tell, had lavender purple fur on her, she had the collar slipped around her neck with the rope being used as a leash.
‘Okay, nothing out of the ordinary then. Ugh, I would kill for an aspirin right now.’
Trixie’s eyes closed again with that thought, trying to submit to the pounding hurt in her head. Her body shook and stretched as she yawned deeply, her sore hind-legs still sore from what Trixie guessed was fatigue. Trixie needs to work out more, increase her longevity and avoid tightness of her body like this, or just stop drinking entirely.
The gears started to click in Trixie’s hungover head, the white-hot gears turning painfully as her brain processed the information of her distaste for nutmeg, the different bed, the rope, the collar, the soft and feminine breathing, the softer than usual blanket, and then finally the color purple.
Combine that together, boil it while cuddling a purple unicorn that you absolutely despise (maybe? Trixie hasn’t been truthful with the way she portrays this unicorn after the Alicorn Amulet fiasco) you have a very confused, panicky, and revolted Trixie who just realized what she did last night
“Wait, whoa, Sparkle?!” Trixie’s headache suddenly seem to snuff itself momentarily, her entire focus on getting the knot untied from her fore-legs so she can leap out the window and disappear into the furthest corners of the universe. Hopefully somewhere here she can attempt to get every single thought out of her head with a quick session of bashing her own head into a rock until either her skull cracked or until the rock cracked.
Trixie’s attempt at magick released a stinging inwards discharge, which happens to unicorns when their brains aren’t able concentrate and the horn painfully sends the kinetic energy back inside to be converted, resulted in a teeth gritting wince; Twilight started to stir because of which, and when Trixie means stir she means literally slip on top of Trixie.
Twilight’s violet eyes met Trixie’s, and Trixie expected her to be strangling her as she demands why Trixie was in her home or anywhere near her bed or waking up next to her, but was almost chillingly surprised (and relieved) to not find any sort of acidic glare hidden behind the eyes of a rebooting Alicorn.
‘Oh right, she became the Princess of Magick…’
“’Morning Trix’,” Trixie visibly cringed at the pet name, Trixie had no love for that name the first time somepony tried to court her, someone who was in royalty but completely so full of themselves that they couldn’t believe that Trixie was offended at the nickname. “I didn’t think you’d be up so early, especially after last night.”
Trixie was definitely awake now, her heart racing faster at the way Twilight giggled with the collar on. Trixie’s heart wasn’t racing out of lust, romance, or anything of the sort. She was, more or less, extremely uncomfortable with the fact that they had sex the previous night while Trixie was intoxicated. Even more uncomfortable with the way Twilight was acting.
“Good morning?” Trixie mumbled awkwardly, she felt her indignation along with her anger fade as it just leaves down to shock and a few other choice words for how she’s feeling right now. Trixie guesses she’s feeling mostly confused. Why in the Goddesses green, now white, Equestria is Twilight so calm in all of this.
The thoughts of Trixie, The Great and Powerful Trixie, actually having sex with Princess Twilight Sparkle makes her feel so wrong in so many ways. Trixie doesn’t mind mares, but Trixie absolutely cannot believe she would stoop down to Twilight!
‘I mean, I could do a lot worse, but I don’t love Twilight! I don’t even like her at all!’
Trixie’s hind-legs were tightly interlocked together now, out of revulsion and denial that she had anything to do with that activity now. Her left eye twitched, leaning away from Twilight, her mouth slightly agape to say something back but her mind was filled with blanks.
Trixie’s brain fired up in shock when Twilight took that moment, exposing the break in Trixie’s guard, to plant a kiss on Trixie’s gaped mouth. The electricity of her lips made Trixie’s tingle, but Trixie would pull away as soon as possible if she wasn’t being pinned down by Twilight. Twilight, if you can make it past the morning breath, tasted like the spices you place in oatmeal, like brown sugar, like vanilla, like nutmeg.
Twilight’s kiss felt sloppy, not as far as what kind of kiss, but the quality of it. Seems like Twilight doesn’t exactly has experience kissing at all, and if she does Trixie prays to the poor sap who took her first kiss. Trixie mused at the idea of teenage Twilight not even knowing what a lip remotely looks like until she opened her biology book and made out with Doctor Scalpel.
Twilight pulled back with a disappointed look on her face, the brightness in her eyes seemed to have dimmed. Trixie viewed her face over and felt a needle stab into her chest and a hammer striking down onto it like a lobotomy. “You didn’t kiss back…”
‘Oh, goodness, she’s going to vanquish me with that look! Make it stop!’
“I-it’s just a little early for Trixie to kiss, right now, Sparkle,” Trixie fibbed, “I… uh… Trixie is just… erm… hungry and tired, yes, Trixie will make it up for you after breakfast!” Trixie inwardly gagged at Twilight’s taste and her scent, and her amateurish style of kissing made Trixie seriously did not want to be in this house any longer.
“I don’t think I’ll have anytime to have fun like that today, Trix’,” Trixie visibly flinched at the pet name, however, Twilight either didn’t notice or didn’t care about Trixie not liking the name. “I have a lot of things I have to get done today, and I don’t fancy being behind schedule!”
“Schedule…?” Trixie knew she shouldn’t have asked, when Twilight winked at her. Trixie guessed Twilight thought she was complaining, instead of trying to act like she cared, because Trixie doesn’t care about Sparkle’s planner or anything like that.
“I’ll make it up to you, Luly-Moony” Twilight cooed as she gave Trixie a quick peck on the tip of the horn. “It’ll all be worth the wait, my blue moon!”
'By Faust’s mane, can some Goddess just smite me already?!'
“That’s funny and original, where’d you learn that? Egghead’s Guide to Turning off Ponies of the Same and Different Sex?” Trixie had to guess her sarcastic retort was funny, because Twilight giggled at it while flicking her nose lightly with a hoof.
“Actually, the book’s name was How to Cheer Up Your Megalomaniac Fillyfriend!” Twilight smiled, even though Trixie felt insulted at the title and the fact Twilight implied that Trixie is a megalomaniac, even though it was true, doesn’t make it less hurtful.
“Trixie is not your fillyfriend,” Trixie snapped flatly, glaring at Twilight with the intensity of a thousand suns. “And Trixie is not a ‘megomania’ or whatever you called it!”
“You’re such a silly pony!” Twilight cooed, she was already undoing Trixie’s bindings by hoof, as if it’ll make it more intimate rather than using magick. Once she was done, she nuzzled Trixie even though Trixie calmly tried to move her away with a hoof. “Of course you’re not my Fillyfriend!”
Twilight got off of Trixie, untying the collar and flinging it into the closet along with several things that made Trixie look at Twilight like she grew a second head. Trixie’s going to need to scrub herself down inwards with bleach and
Trixie sat up and wiped her forehead as she sighed, “Glad we can clear that up, Sparkle.”
Without even skipping a beat, Twilight turned on her hooves with a big smile on her face. “You’re my lover!”
“Wait, whoa, hold your humans there, Sparkler,” Trixie groaned, her patience for being tact wearing thin. She had to keep Twilight from taking this any further, because the next time: she’s going to believe they’re happily married. “This was a one night stand and Trixie was drunk! Trixie might have said some things that Trixie didn’t mean!”
Twilight snorted, her wings flapping to keep her self-control in check so she doesn’t end up bursting laughing out loud. “Oh you joker, Trixie!”
“Trixie’s not joking,” Trixie replied gravely, Twilight’s wings froze in what Trixie thought was to be panic, or fear, or something.
“This isn’t a one night stand!” Twilight’s smile dropped as she detected the serious tone in her voice, her hooves shuffled in a way that made emotion hard to read off of. “We’ve been doing this for a couple of weeks now, maybe even more... I don't remember... maybe today would mark a year.. or so... that we’ve been in a relationship…”
Trixie seriously needs to stop drinking.
Wait, is Twilight loosing control of herself? Strange.
“We are in a relationship, right?” Twilight pleadingly looked into Trixie’s eyes, and Trixie looked deeper into hers to find a hurricane of emotions that Trixie didn’t even know existed. Trixie wasn’t the most emotional pony, but she could tell that none of these emotions that Twilight holds in her eyes are positive at all. “I don’t want to feel like one of those mares who leap in and get their hearts broke…”
To be honest, Trixie didn’t take in account that she had more than one run-ins with Twilight. Now, her first reaction was to shudder in sheer disgust and revulsion. Trixie felt her stomach become queasy at the thought of sex with Twilight more than once, which is already one too many. Yet, the more Trixie thinks, the guiltier she becomes.
If anyone was looking at it from any different angle, Trixie would looked shallow and stupid. Her indulgence and irresponsibility with alcohol made her be more than a little friendly with Twilight, Trixie’s drunken self didn’t have a lid and Twilight doesn’t have experience with romance as far as Trixie knows. So why would Twilight consent if her rival just pops up in her doorstep drunk and flirtatious?
“...I… uh… erm…” Trixie tried to formulate an answer, but the words seemed to escape her mouth like she bit into a Zap Apple while sticking a fork into the electrical outlet.
“Trixie…” Twilight looked like she had tears forming on her eyes, Trixie noticed Twilight’s chest was being thumped against her by her own heart. "Right?" Trixie felt her cool and her thoughts slip away quickly, along with her rationale thoughts. Normally, Trixie would have just left right now, but Trixie realized that she was in Ponyville. It doesn’t take long for word to spill that Princess Twilight gets her heart broken, and all of a sudden: Trixie has an angry mob who wants her dead.
With that factor in the equation, and for Trixie’s safety, Trixie placed a hoof under Twilight’s snout and lifted it, making the mare face Trixie. Trixie held down her vile and planted her lips onto Twilight’s, Twilight’s eyes widen but she soon melted into the kiss. Trixie caressed Twilight’s cheek, and Trixie wanted to burn her own hoof now.
Trixie broke the kiss, her lips tingling in a way Trixie didn’t enjoy. Twilight was blushing heavily, as if she popped a vein. The smile returned onto the Alicorn’s face, and Trixie forced a reassuring smile with ease. Twilight’s wings were fluttering, Twilight smiled dreamily, her gaze looked warm and cozy but Trixie couldn’t feel it.
“Trixie meant yes, Twilight,” Trixie’s insides twisted as she knowingly lied to Twilight’s face, Trixie’s self-respect begged Trixie to stop. “You’re Trixie’s one and only pony in the world.”
Twilight has left an hour ago, and Trixie was busy vomiting the rest of the horrible taste of nutmeg and lies into the toilet. Trixie doesn’t mind lying about slaying a giant serpent in the water, well it’s not lying if it’s just a fiction story with her as the man character, but it’s definitely lying when you tell Twilight, Princess Twilight Sparkle that Trixie loves her.
Trixie dry-retched again at the blasting thought of having to lie to every single pony that she’s in love with Twilight Sparkle.
Trixie vomited again.
Trixie did not love Twilight Sparkle, Trixie does not love Twilight Sparkle, and Trixie will never ever love Twilight Sparkle.
Trixie vomited again.
‘S-stupid nutmeg!’
