Squishing Bugs and Taken Names

Canterlot

Everything was going wrong for Twilight at first she was overjoyed to be a part of her brothers wedding but now her and friends were now held captive by the changelings. She couldn't help but feel helpless as her nor her friends could do nothing accept sit and watch as the changeling army overwhelmed them and the royal guard. While her and her friends were sitting and watching Queen Chrysalis relish her victory.

"You'll never get away with this, I swear that you will not get away with this" said Cadence angry at the changeling queen. Chrysalis had not only invaded Canterlot, but she ruined Cadence's wedding and brainwashed her husband it was becoming a very bad day for the ponies but not for long.

Helghast Ship

Syth continued to stare at the image shown to him and the rest of the Helghast soldiers. A capital city seemed to be under siege by these humanoid bugs he could see what looked like anthropomorphic ponies some civilians some soldiers. The sight of innocents being held captive against their will angered him and Radec it reminded them of Helghan and what the ISA had done to drive them off of their world.

"Father we need to go down there and help them we can't just sit here and let this go on" Syth said to his father and to his surprise many of the other soldiers were agreeing with him as well as his father.

"Very well Syth I will send you with BloodPact unit as well as a few platoons once you've secured the main district in the city I will accompany the next few platoons as we land" Syth nodded and went to the hanger while he called his team on the comm.

"Attention BloodPact unit meet me in the hanger we're going down to the planet and assist the locals with the bugs" Syth said as he sat in a drop ship waiting for his unit along with the thousands of others that were excited to go to planet and get to see some action. Syth didn't have wait long as his unit arrived and entered the drop ship. The drop ship rose and left the hanger heading towards the planet's surface as they made their way down to the planet every solider was preparing for war.

As Syth was loading his pistol Razer came up to talk to him. Razer was a capture trooper like Syth except he had an infiltrator's mimic module which let him look like the enemy. It was a useful little piece of equipment and it saved both his and Syth's life on more than one occasion.

"What do you need Razer something buggin you?" Syth asked

"No just excited that I get to get in some action, but I wasn't expecting us to help a city filled with humanoid ponies."

"Well I guess we'll need to add that to the to do list, but right now we need to secure an L.Z. for the rest of the troops." Syth explained as he and the soldiers were heading to the city.

"Have all dropships engage tactical cloak when we get close to the city I don't want those bugs knowing we're here until we have an advantage." All ships obeyed and activated the cloak the Helghast then landed in the outskirts of the city when Syth gave their next commands.

"I want all snipers to get on high points of the city and get ready to take out as many hostiles as you can. Do it stealthy as possible and the rest of the infiltrator units will move in disguised as these bugs under Razer's command. Once we have a secure position around the city snipers will take out as many as they can while the infiltrator teams will silently kill these bugs and rescue civilians. When we secured the center of the city we will then evacuate all civilians to a nearby safezone and storm the large castle like structure when Lord Radec and his reinforcements land, You have your orders."

Syth personally loved to go stealth first rather than run in guns blazing. To him stealth was the best approach especially since they would have full advantage. Whoever was leading these bugs were going to have a nice surprise in store for them. When Syth and his unit got close to the wall he activated a zoom feature on his HUD. When he found one of the bugs he did a scan over it's body and sent it to all infiltrator units so they could mimic and look like them without a problem. What intrigued Syth was that they were using spears and swords and not any form of firearms whatsoever.

'Guess they aren't as advanced as us that gives us a huge advantage'

Syth then signaled all infiltrator units to activate their mimicry unit, once they did they slipped into the city without any suspicion and moved to locate some civilians in the city. Syth stayed back with Victor, BloodPact's sniper and leader of the sniper unit for this mission, to oversee and alert Razer and his team should something go wrong. Syth would go in there with a mimic unit but decided that Razer was more than capable to lead his own unit for this mission. Many missions during the war and before he would bug Syth to let him lead his own unit but Syth felt that he needed more time in the field first before he got to handle leading his own unit. After many missions together Syth felt that Razer was ready to start leading his own teams and squads. This would be Razer's fifth time leading an operation but he had never done one of this scale so naturally Syth would be a little worried about him, they were like brothers during training in the academy and on the battle field and they were pretty close.

"You really should stop worrying about him Syth I'm sure he'll do fine this isn't the first time he has led a team before."

Syth looked over at Victor and then back to the city he knew that Victor was right but he was always taught to expect every possible outcome, even the impossible ones.

While Syth and Victor watched from afar Razer and his team were moving throughout the city looking for were the civilians would be located at. As he and his team continued they found what they were looking for and they were disgusted by what they were seeing, what they saw were the civilians being pushed, shoved, and ordered around like slaves. What was sicking the most was that they were mostly female and the bugs were planning to rape them. Razer looked and took count, there were only seven of them and twelve of Razer's team so this gave Razer and his men a good advantage.

"All right listen up soldiers here's the plan me and two others will walk up to the group of bugs and distract them meanwhile the rest of you sneak behind them and when I give the signal slice their throats wide open and then we escort the civilians to the extraction point understood?' all soldiers nodded in agreement the and proceeded to move into their positions while Razer and two others walk up to the group with their mimicry units activated to look like the bugs.

"Hey!! what are you doing here I was told that we wouldn't have anymore soldiers in this area!" said one of the bugs as he stepped forward with an attitude of authority, must be the commander. Razer played it cool and spoke with equal authority

"We're here to escort the prisoners to a new location."

"New location!? why wasn't I informed about this!?"

Razer could see that his soldiers were in position so he got ready to give the signal "look I'm going to take these prisoners whether you're okay with it or not" after he was done speaking he pulled out a silenced pistol and shot the commander in the head while the rest of the soldiers proceeded to take their kills and slice the bugs throats open. All of the bugs fell, choking on their own blood, while Razer deactivated his mimicry unit and contacted Syth.

"Syth this is Razer my men and I found a large group of civilians and are waiting for your signal to move to the evac point, over."

"Copy that Razer once the other teams move in and the snipers open fire move to the extraction zone."

"Understood we will await further orders."

Chrysalis was enjoying her victory having all the ponies rounded up like cattle ready to feed her children until she heard what sound like thunder cracking.

*BANG*

*BANG*

*BANG*

She went to the closest window and what she saw made her eyes go wide. She saw not only her dead children in the streets but also what was killing them. She was seeing what appeared to be weird armored monsters with terrifying red glowing eyes using weird black weapons she had never seen before to slaughter her changeling army. Many of her changelings died at the hands of these unknown soldiers and they were apparently helping the ponies, guards and civilians alike, and guiding them to the center of the city.

The queen then turned her attention to the changelings in the room "go out there and kill off those things now and bring back the ponies for food!" she said in a booming commanding voice. The changelings did as they were told and flew out into the fray Chrysalis turned back to the window. She saw what appeared to be countless of them swarming the city killing the changelings in a bloody massacre while they progressed towards the castle she only hoped that she would not meet the same fate as most of her children.

Meanwhile outside the changelings were barely holding up as the Helghast kept pushing forward as ships were being filled with civilians and taken to the Helghast base camp located three miles away from the city. Once it was confirmed that all civilians were evacuated Radec and more Helghast troops landed in the center of town which became their holding point in the city with ground turrets and sky drones that tacticians would set up to give them an upper hand. As Radec proceeded through the miniature camp he found Syth interrogating some of the bugs that his team and himself had captured while they retreated to the castle. As he got closer Syth shot one of them in the head and kicked the body to the ground.

"I'm not a very patient man you know in fact my patience is thinning quite quickly" he said as he walked around the bound prisoners. The other four prisoners looked at their fallen brother with wide eyes and the to the figure that had him in cold blood filled with fear. Syth then looked at them and smiled under his helmet as continued to taunt them.

"You understand why I'm here?" he asked only to get a snarky reply from one of the bugs.

"Well your mom probably got drunk with guys one night an-" he was cut off from a punch to the face Syth then aimed his pistol at him and fired as the body hit the floor Syth looked towards the one closest to him and pointed the gun at him.

"You are next unless you tell me where I can the one behind this invasion or I'll kill you and every single one of your filthy friends!!"

Syth continued to stare him down until he finally cracked "okay I'll tell you just don't kill me please, it was queen Chrysalis she is the one in charge of the invasion shes in the castle now please just let me go!!!" Syth smirked and turned to Radec his father nodded. Syth then proceeded turn towards the bugs, lifted his rifle, and pulled the trigger.

Author's Note

Finally the second chapter is done I said I would get it done this weekend and I did for all of you who have been reading I'm still looking for an editor for later in the story and still waiting for the pairs to be voted also the next chapter may take a bit of time to write so be patient.
