Chapter 4: Royal Fighting

Syth was not a man to be distracted by any means that was what made him a good capture trooper. All of the Helghan Empire knew that capture troopers were trained day in and day out to be the best of the best and they were widely respected for it. Throw in the fact that Syth was trained from early childhood by the legendary Colonel Mael Radec and some would consider him the perfect soldier, a lethal killer, and a walking symbol of death that could never be distracted from the missions that he would be given, but none of the training that Syth went through could prepare him for the thing he was seeing or rather things. When the changeling queen lunged at him she not only knocked him down but landed in a very 'suggestive' position on top giving him a good view of her cleavage. Now Syth never really had any interaction with women before or a sex drive for that matter due to his constant training and the fact he never had time to try and interact with anyone unless they were the soldiers with him during a mission, Syth was glad that his helmet covered his face as he could guess just how red it would be at this point.

Syth was shaken out of his stupor by his fathers voice as spoke to the queen with his intimating distorted voice "I will say it again; get away from him or else" he said while aiming the gun at Chrysalis. The queen looked at Radec for a few moments before looking down at Syth then back at Radec she could sense a strong bond between the two soldiers much like a mother wolf and her cub. She grinned as she grabbed Syth and teleported in front of the throne; holding him in a headlock while having a knife at his throat.

She looked at Radec with a evil smirk "now YOU will surrender or this one dies" she said hoping that he would stand down and allow her and her changelings to leave, but to her confusion the one she was holding just started to laugh dryly.

"I can't believe how stupid you are" he said before bringing his head back hard and headbutted her in the face, grabbed her by the arm, and threw her over him. She was sent skittering across the floor before standing up, as she did Syth got a better look at her and what she was wearing. She was dressed in what appeared to be battle armor that was made from a greenish black metal, it was wasn't very bulky in fact it was slim and covered her figure well, she was also very tall; at least 6'9 which was only a few inches taller than Syth.

The rest of the Helghast soldiers were ready to open fire on her but Radec stopped them by raising his hand "no, let them fight one on one" he wanted to not only see how strong the queen was but to see how Syth's training had been coming along and this was the best way to see both.

The queen charged up her horn to blast at him with magic as she got up and fired at Syth out of blind fury. Syth immediately rolled out of the way and ran towards Chrysalis while firing his pistol but Chrysalis just blocked the bullets with her gauntlet covered arms. Syth continued to charge at her at increased speed Chrysalis blocked anticipating him to ram into her but to her surprise he dropped to his knees and slid between her legs Syth used his legs to swipe her legs out from under her causing the changeling queen to land on her side. As Syth was about to deliver a punch to her face she blasted him square in the chest sending him flying across the room and crashing into the throne. He got up and cracked his neck and just chuckled "if that is all you can do i'm not impressed" he said mockingly as he dusted himself off like it was nothing "please try and not disappoint me you over grown cockroach."

That pushed her over the edge as all she saw was red as she flew toward him screaming a battle cry with her horn charging up another offensive spell. Syth just stood there not even moving as the enraged changeling continued to fly towards him, when she got close he sidestepped out of the way and grabbed her by the horn and armor and threw her above his head and onto the floor. The changeling queen slid a few feet before she raised her head up and came face to face with a fist hitting her in the face and sent her flying into one of the columns of the throne room.

As Chrysalis fell to the floor Syth walked over to her and turned her over only to be greeted by a green beam of magic hitting him square in the face knocking him back as well as knocking his helmet off as it rolled away from his prone form. Chrysalis walked over to him so she could see the face of the soldier she just killed, however as she did she was shocked to see his face. Syth's face was pale and had snow white hair that wasn't too long nor too short and he looked very young around late teens young. Before the queen could do anything else she saw Syth's eyes open up while his left hand grabbed her leg and she felt a painful shock and fell to the floor on her back as she screamed in pain. The pain only lasted a few seconds but it was enough to have the queen fall on the ground in agony while the Helghast troopers surrounded her while Syth went to get his helmet and put it back on.

Radec walked over to Syth while the troopers escorted Chrysalis and the rest of the changelings out of the castle "you alright Syth when I saw your helmet fly off your head I thought you were dead."

"I'm fine apparently the atmosphere is safe enough that we don't need to wear our masks all the time" Syth said while inspecting his armor just to make sure it didn't take damage. As Syth was checking his armor one of the natives ran to check on another that was apparently knocked unconscious. Judging from the shape of the body it was female, she was wearing a tattered dress and a crown on her head, she was just as tall as the queen but instead of black and green she was pink and had feathered wings instead of insectoid ones, she also had a horn on her head that was the same color as the rest of her body.

"SHINING!!! are you alright!? please say something!!" she said frantically as she shook him trying to get a response from him. Syth walked over to her to check on her friend. It seemed to male, he wore a red and gold like suit and black dress pants, his hair was a dark blue with streaks of lighter blue in it he also had a horn but no wings like the female had. As he approached the two the female turned to him with a look of fear but the look changed as she charged her horn and took a defensive stance over the downed male. Syth rolled his eyes as he continued to move towards the pair and stopped a few feet from them.

"Look, unless you let me get him some medical attention chances are he isn't gonna last long so I recommend that instead of fight us that you let us help you and your friend there" she looked back at one on the ground and back up at Syth with a worried look. She reluctantly backed away and the horns glow died down, Syth called some medics over with a stretcher and they loaded the wounded native onto it. As the medics made their way out the female walked over to Syth while looking to where the medics were taking the other one away.

"I-Is he going to be alright?" she asked with worry in her voice.

"Don't worry our medics have saved many lives on the battlefield and our doctors have saved even more off the field I'm sure he'll be alright but if you want to see him I would ask to follow them if they give you trouble just say I gave you authorization to see him." The female looked at him and gave a small smile and then wondered off to follow the medics Syth then returned his attention to the rest of his soldiers.

"Call up the camp and tell them the city is safe to return the civilians and get the rest of the civilians in this room out and to the rendezvous point" he barked out and the soldiers simply nodded and returned to their duties. He walked over to were Radec and Razer where waiting.

"Heh damn Syth you sure gave that bug a nice ass whopping, a shame I wasn't helping you but your dad here thought you could handle it" Razer said in his usual smart-ass tone while gestured over to Radec. The Colonel just gave him a stern look that just spelled disappointment but turned his attention back to Syth.

"I'm glad you're alright you had me frightened there for minute, especially when your helmet went flying off."

Syth gave a lighthearted chuckle "well I was trained by you since my early childhood so I couldn't just die that easy it would be unbecoming of a trooper such as myself." he laughed a bit as well as Radec and Razer. The group stopped laughing as a trooper came up to them and reported that the princess herself wanted to talk with Radec as well as the rest of his soldiers that helped retake canterlot. The same thought came to all their minds as the left the room to meet the princess.

hey I'm not dead and also sorry about the long wait I've had alot on my plate as of recently and also doing other fictions that I hope to release soon that have been in my head but I'm glad you've been patient with me and the next chapter will involve a bit of Syth and Razer bashing some heads with the main six.

on another note I still am looking for a co-author to help out cause I get writers block real easy and having another person help me is a good way for this to come along.
