This story is the prelude to another story (Scythes, Masks, and Tornadoes) following Ray Tess, an earth pony from Manehattan who had met Applejack that time she left the farm when she was young. Windsweeper, a pegasus pony from Cloudsdale who was inspired by Rainbow Dash's first sonic rainboom, And Death, a unicorn pony who found himself in the desolate wasteland that is, the pie family farm. Each of them keeps hearing the same mysterious voice in their heads. The actual shipping will appear in the next story, so no romance tag. There may also be some references to things, but no crossover tag.
