Chapters Point of view - Chris
"How much further do we have to go before we get there?" David asked getting annoyed of having to walk for so long.
"Not much further it's just over this hill" I said a little annoyed myself. 'why did we have to be the ones to get sent on this mission' I thought as I look back at David, he is 21 years old and hes tall and skinny guy he is about 6'7 with short brown hair but you couldn't really see his hair because of his black military cap he wore black cargo pants and wore a black jacket he also had red and black sun glasses he was the kind of guy who would usually just wear one color." let's rest here for a bit my legs hurt " I say as i sit down " please explain to me again why we had to come here?" I ask still a little annoyed. I my self am 20 years old and I am 6'5 and i'm wearing black and red sneakers light faded blue jeans and a long sleeved shirt the sleeves are navy blue that nearly completely covers my hands while the rest of the shirt was a lapis blue covering my shirt was a unbuttoned green and white short sleeve flannel t-shirt on my head was a navy blue winter hat and I had A green and black scarf that covered everything below my eyes.
"sounds good my feet hurt" he sighed in relief from the aching feet "Because the outpost here has not reported back to us in the past two weeks and Matt needed some one to check what is going on over there"
David said. I could tell he was getting annoyed because this was like the 8th time I had asked him.
"But why did we have to be sent out here to check on them couldn't he have sent anyone besides us" I said putting strain on the word we.
"One he did but they have not report back in two days, two everyone besides us was busy and three why do you keep asking me this like you don't want to do this, I thought if anyone you would like to go see what happened your always the one that wants to go out side the colony" David said confused by the way i'm acting.
"It's just nothing that bad ever happens when stuff like this happens, they probably just broke their radio by accident" I said .
"If they broke their radio then why hasn't the other team that was sent report back yet or anything and why would you want something to happen it's better if nothing did happen, if you don't remember there are around 20 people in that outpost not counting the last group we sent that could be hurt" David said getting angry at me for being such a dick and I kinda agree with him, why am i being this way.
"Your right i'm sorry it's just what I meant is that usually they are fine and we where sent out here for nothing" I said now a little depressed.
"it's alright, but it's better if nothing bad happens to anyone, now lets get going and see what happened ok" David said trying to cheer me up.
We walk up the hill in complete silence. As we got to the top of it we saw that the hole outpost was destroyed there was holes in the walls and the fence was completely gone we pulled out our guns just in case we needed to use them. I have a costume silenced m14 sniper rifle with a acog sight I have a high powered scope in my backpack and my side arms are two pistols with a silencer's on them one was a M9 ans the other was a M1911. David has a M16A4 with red dot sight and a custom stock and barrel his side arm was a .44 desert eagle. we couldn't see anyone living or dead no bandit body's no nothing the only people we found were the guards that where near the gate, we only figured out they were guards and not bandits was the fact that they had bands that had our banner on there arms it was the head of a eagle with a on it the band it self was white with a blue circle surrounding the eagle head and we both had combat knives strapped to our right legs but Davids knife was a night stalker battle Bowie knife while my knife was a night stalker combat tanto knife.
"Hey David what do you think happened here" I say just loud enough so David could hear me as I look for any signs of movement on my right.
"Not a clue but who ever did this had one hell of a plan to be able to do this with out anyone on their side to take any casualties " David said looking around on my left.
"What I really don't get is where is everyone you'd think we would have found more than just two dead guards" I said as we continue walking through the middle of the small town. "We should radio back to Matt when we get to the middle of the town" I say looking for the map of this town that I put in my bag (I picked it up near the entrance where the to guards where it was on a bulletin board) as soon as I found it I look for where the middle of the town basically was and turn to David and pointed some where to my left showing him that we need to go that way.
We only walked for about 2 minutes before we got there once we arrived at the town square. Me and David look in horror at what we saw I had to pull my scarf down so I could throw up and Davids sun glasses practically flow off his face when he went to throw up. All their was, was bodies everywhere like if they were all just target practice "god damn" I heard David say just above a whisper.
'what the fuck happened here' I thought as I looked around. there were bodies littered all around the square their was blood splattered all over the ground. There were bodies hanging from light posts in a line there was no skin to be seen on their bodies and there were blood puddles below them the size of kitty pools. the smell of the decaying bodies almost made me vomit again if it wasn't for the fact that I lost all my lunch not even 1 minute ago but David was still throwing "David we need to call this in NOW" I said to David yelling the last bit still shaking up at what we had just seen.
David grabbed his sun glasses off the ground almost touching the vile that they lay next to them and put them back on then he went to reach for his walkie talkie "on it" David said as he was about to talk into the walkie talkie "anyone... there?" David said talking into his talkie still trying to catch his breath.
"Yeah, who is this" a male voice on the other end said.
"This is David and Chris reporting from the scouting mission at the east outpost" David said.
"And what did you guy's find out?" Matt ask.
"Not much besides that everyone is DEAD" David said shouting the last word into his talkie.
"WHAT?" Matt said shouting into the talkie.
"Yeah everyone is dead, it's a blood bath over here" I said into the mic.
"Ok here is what I want you to do, try and fined anyone still alive we need to figure out what happened" Matt said. even though his voice was a little distorted through the talkie I could tell he was shaken from the news.
"Got it look around and try to find-" I was cut off by some one screaming.
"SOME ONE, ANYONE" someone said.
I look to my left to see a female walking across the right side of the street. She is 5'8 had denim shorts with a white T-shirt and a pair of white sneakers. "Miss over here" I yelled in her direction. see looked at us and slowly back pedals away from us "no don't run we'er from the colony west from here. we'er here to help" I say as we lower our guns down and point at our banned's on our arms. that was just enough to make her stop and start walking towards us until she breaks out into a full sprint right for us. She rams right in to me and start crying "Thank god I thought no one was going to come help" the woman said still crying.
"Miss calm down" I said trying to get her to calm down, "My name is Chris this is David. first whats your name?" I ask the girl.
"It's Jessie" the girl said whipping away the tears from her face.
"Ok, now tell what happened here?" I asked
"bandit's. they had a helicopter and used it to slaughter everyone and then they landed to get what ever they wanted off of everyone then they..." she didn't even finish.
"Miss are they still here?" A quick nod answered that, "ok don't worry will git you out of here, David you take point I'll be in the back and keep you covered, miss your in the middle you'll be less likely to be shot if there is any of them close by" I say to David but just before we were going to move I started to hear a buzzing noise a explosion went off making the building to our right to start to crumble into dust. I look behinds us to be met with the sight of a black hawk "EVERYONE RUN" I shout at the top of my lunges. 'where the hell did they get a black hawk' I thought running down the road.
"Who the hell are these guys" David said as we ran to find a safe place to hide.
We were running for a good 2 minutes before came across two bikes in a shed. "ok Jessie do you know how to ride a motorcycle?" I ask a I look out side for the helicopter.
"I have... only road one once... before" Jessie said trying to catch her breath.
"Good enough" I say as I look back at them "Ok hears the new plan, Jessie you take one of the bikes and drive it as fast as you can and make your way out of here while me and David take this one and distract that helicopter long enough so you can get away" I say over the gun fire and bullets.
"But that thing is going to rip you apart" Jessie said concerned for our safety. I walk over to a wall with two sets of hooks that were holding two sets of keys.
"Our job is to save anyone and everyone who needs help even if it kills us" I say to Jessie as I toss her one of the keys. I get on the bike and look to my left and see that She is looking at me with a sad expression on her face "It's ok me and David have been in tougher spots plus their in a helicopter their aim is practically cut in half" I say to her and give her a smile all though she could not see it I'm sure she got what I was doing, all I got was a nod from her "Ok David get on the back and lets go get these assholes" I say to David.
David gets on and pulls out his desert eagle "lets do dis" David said. We drive out first and are met with bullets flying past us and just barely hitting the bike 'Thank god that these guy have shit aim' I thought to my self as we made our way through the town until one of them shot the front tire. "Shit i'm losing control they hit the front tire" I say as the bike flipped tossing David off while I was stuck to it by my pant leg getting caught.
As soon as the bike was done flipping and I was able to get up and shake my head to clear it. I look for David and as I found him I see as he was blow up by a rocket. I turn to my right to see the helicopter flying right for me I pull out my M9. with very little other options I aim my pistol at the cockpit and open fire to try and hit the pilot and surprisingly it worked but did not change the course of the helicopter. I lay on my back and look up. I saw Jessie crying and yelling for me to get up and run and the sound of an explosion right below me the last things I see and feel is fire surrounding me and a sharp pain go through out my lower back.
point of view -Twilight Sparkle
Me an Rainbow Dash where on our way to the market to pick some supplies for the slumber party we are going to have.
"Twilight wha...what's that" I hear Rainbow Dash stutter. I turn my head to see a pillar of blue light coming from the sky right into the everfree forest.
"I don't know, Rainbow find every one I'll send a letter to the princess" I say to rainbow Dash before we split up to find the others. As I was running I saw another pillar of blue light but this one was a little bit distorted. I start to run even faster until I reach the library I open the door and see spike on the couch.
"What's up Twi?" Spike ask seeing that I was breathing heavily.
"We need to... send a letter to the... princess's" I finished still breathing in and out heavily.
Point of view -David
I open my eyes to a clear blue sky, not a single cloud in the sky. "Ugh What the hell happened" I say as sit up my whole body was sore I still had all my stuff. 'that's right' I thought as I remember the past events "But if I died where am I and where is Chris" I said looking for my friend I soon was almost blinded by a bright light. If it wasn't for my sunglasses I probably would be, after the the light faded I see laying on his stomach and his arms in front of him was Chris He still had his stuff as well. I walk over to him trying my best not to fall over as soon I get to his side I check for his pulse 'he's still alive' I thought to myself I then shake him to try and wake him up he did even move but what really caught my attention was the fact that his hole back was cold and wet. I lift the back of his shirt to see that he had a huge gash across his lower back.
I look at our surroundings we where in a clearing of a forest. I took off my bag and was about to see what I had but before I could open it I hear voices coming from some where behind me I put my bag on my back and start running for a bush to hide in, once I reach the bush I look back at the clearing to see Chris still laying there I would had ran back to grab him but a group of creatures came into the clearing their were some wearing some gold armor. the creatures them self are half human and half animal 'what the hell' I thought to my self.
'Crap I can't just leave him there' I thought to myself as they began to surround him. they all were all saying something but their were to many voices and they where just out of my rang to under stand what they were saying. the purple one went to reach for his scarf to, what I guess is to see his face, I walk out with my M16A4 drawn. "Get away from him" I demanded them.
the ones with armor drew the own weapons. their were some with spears and some with swords. I aim my gun right at the guard closes to me "Put your weapons downs and let me get my friend and I wont have to hurt you" all I got was a few chuckles from some of the guards.
"Tell me creature what exactly do you think a metal stick is going to do, your not even holding it right" that last part made him to start to laugh even more. I level my weapon at the sword's men in front of me and aim at his sword and fire a single shot a loud BANG could be heard echoing through the forest.
"you really want to laugh at a guy who brought a gun to a knife fight" I look at the sword's man that is now shaking in fear while looking at his sword that was now in pieces all over the ground. I look at the rest had stop laughing and looked at me. some looked in horror and some with pure anger. "That was a warning shot be lucky I did not shoot him, now let me get my friend and we will be on our way" I said as I aim my rifle at the rest.
"wait everypony stop!" the purple one yelled getting everyone's attention, she had a black business suit and a pair of glasses, "Can't we all just talk this out" she finished.
I lower my gun to my hip but keeping my finger on the trigger "I'm not good at negotiating that's usually his job" I said calmly as i point at Chris's unconscious body "But I would like some questions answered so lets hope your friends here feel the same" I say not looking away from the guards.
"lets get your friend here to a hospital, does that sound good to you" She said I just node my head. "My name is Twilight sparkle and theses are my friends Applejack,Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash,Fluttershy, and Rarity" She said as I walk over to them and pick my Corbin up.
"Could we just get to the hospital?" I ask not wanting to wast time with introductions.
"Yeah of course" Twilight said thank-full that things went this way instead of everyone having to go to the hospital.
Chapter 2 waking up in equestria
Point of view -Corbin
I open my eyes to be met with darkness and a white and yellow figure in front of me "Hello Mr Chris it is so wonderful to see you" the figure said. the only thing giving me a hint on who and what it was is that the voice was female.
"may I ask you a question?" I asked the figure calmly.
"But you just did" the figure said mocking me.
I just ignore her comment "I'll take that as a yes, first of all who are you and secondly where am I, I know i died but.." I trailed off at the end.
"Yes you did but we saved you, For your first question I can't answer for me have no names anymore" the figure said just confusing me even more.
"I'm not even going to ask why you have no name but who is we, I only see you" I said confused on what she meant by we .
"I knew it was a good idea to help him" said a voice from behind me. I turn around to be met with a black and red figure "Should I tell him or will you" The figure said by the voice it was a male.
"Tell me what?" I asked the two figures.
"I know this might sound a little cliche but you out of all the humans on your planet you are different, you have suffered heart ache that would drive many others of your kind to kill them selves and you have helped those in need, you have driven yourself deeper into a dark pit (dark pit=madness) just to help others and we feel like you and your friend deserve a reward for what you have done" the yellow and gold figure said to me.
"But I never asked to be helped or saved" I protested just wanting my nightmare to end.
"We know but to one so kind and brave we will do you this kindness, besides we'er doing this because we care about you and we always have. Now please wake up" Before I could say anything to him he pushed me and I was engulfed by a bright light as my entire back felt like it was on fire. I close my eyes and grit my teeth.
I open my eyes and see a white roof and the sound of something beeping I noticed that I was laying on a bed and had a blanket covering me 'where is my shirt' I thought to my self. "Hey look who's awake" I heard a very familiar voice say.
I look to where the voice came from and see David siting in a chair "where am I?" I asked David not questioning how he was still alive.
"Well we are in a hospital in a place called ponyvill, oh and here is a white T-shirt and you hat and scarf, your stuff is right next to you" David said tossing me a white T-shirt and my hat and scarf to me. I look to my left to see my stuff on the ground to the left of me.
I pick up my stuff and began to look through it. "How did we get here, one moment we are fighting a helicopter you get hit by a rocket and..." I trailed off as I finished looking through my stuff.
"Yeah I don't know how we got here much less how i'm alive how did you get here going off by the fact that I got here via a missile you must have died to so how did they kill you I know not a good question but i'm just curious" He said to me.
"Who said they killed me" I said getting a sadistic grin on my face glad that I killed those sadistic motherfuckers.
"What do you mean?" David asked being cautious of what he said.
"Well I-" I never got to finish my sentence as a anthropomorphic creature entered the room.
"Oh you're awake good the princess and her friends would like to ask you some questions" she said I only knew that by it's voice and other things about her, she had white fur and pink hair with light blue eyes. I could tell she was a nurse because of her outfit.
I look straight at David "I'm not even going to ask" I say to him.
It was about 2 minutes before the one from before joined by more of them entered the room and join me and David.
"I'm so glade your ok" A yellow one with pink hair said to me as she hid behind the rest of them. she had greenish blue eyes and was wearing a yellow sweater with blue jeans and a pair of white tennis shoes.
"Why would you be glade i'm ok?" I ask the shy yellow one.
"Because I don't like seeing anything or anypony in pain" She said to me.
I don't respond and just pull the blanket off of me and move my legs off the edge and stood up. all except David (who was grinning) gave me a shocked look.
"What?" I asked confused why they were looking at me like that.
"You should be laying down, i'm surprised you're even moving" the nurse said to me.
"Why?" I ask still no idea what she is talking about.
"Well something made a not so pretty gash on your lower back and you're spine was damaged and it should hurt quite a lot to move" she said still concerned about me.
"I don't like answering questions in a hospital bed, anyway who wanted to ask me and David some questions anyway?" I asked them trying to ignore the fact that a nurse is telling me to lay in bed.
A purple one walked up to me "That would be me. I'm twilight and these are my friends Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, and Rarity but your friend there knew that already" Twilight said said pointing at each individual with their corresponding names.
"I'm Chris" I say holding my hand out she takes it and shakes it.
"And i'm David" David said.
"Well i'm glad I finally got your names" Twilight said glaring at David "Mind if I ask you some questions?" she asked me and David.
I walk over to the wall and laid against it "Sure go right ahead" I said to her.
Twilight had been asking us questions for quite some time and none of them stood out they all were like what is our species, what we eat and where we are from but after she ask where were we from she asked. "What is your world like?" Twilight asked.
I just look at the floor as I process what she had just asked. "It depends on who you ask really, to some it's a dream come true to others is a nightmare that you can not escape until you die but for me it's just something that just needed to happen" I said trying my best not to remember what has happen to me.
I look up from the ground the whole group was looking at me "What my friend is trying to say is that we basically live in hell because you have the living dead and bandits that will kill you even if you don't have anything and those aren't even the worst things" David told them.
They went wide eyed at this "What exactly have you two stallions been through?" Rarity asked. she was white with purple hair and had deep blue eyes just by looking at her I new she was one of those fancy people that would die if something really little happened to their stuff. she wore a black stitched sweater with black sweat pants and a pair of black boots.
Me and David look at the ground 'You have no idea' I thought to my self. suddenly a bunch of guards burst into the room surrounding me and David with their weapons drawn."hmm well this is interesting" I said out aloud.
One of the guards walked up to me he had light blue eyes and was white with two different shades of blue in his hair "creature you are under arrest under the name of the princess's" he said to me.
"At least tell me what I'm charged with?" I asked looking him dead in the eyes.
"Shining armor what do you think your doing?" Twilight asked the guy standing right in front of me.
"Putting this thing where it can't hurt anypony" The guy I presumed was shining armor said.
"You should really watch who you pick fights with" David said to Shining Armor.
"be quite creature" Shining armor said to David this really was getting on my nerves now.
I walk up to his left and put my and on his shoulder "First we are humans not creatures, second don't talk to my friends like that and third if you keep talking out your ass their going to stop calling you shining armor and start call you bloodied armor" I threaten Shining.
"As if a creature as thin as you couldn't even hurt the captain" One of the guards that was pointing a spear at me.
"Captain I would not recommend fighting this one" the nurse from before said to the prick in front of me.
He looks at me "Why, he doesn't even look like he could beat one of my lowest ranking guards" he said to the nurse.
The nurse look to me "Mr Chris if you could please lift your shirt up" she told me.
I grin under my scarf "Not even a first date?" I teased the nurse and every female just blush deeply.
"I'm trying to make a point for you and all you can do is make jokes" she said.
I sigh "Fine" I say as I took my shirt off trying to not pull my hat and scarf off with the shirt.
Everyone except David and the nurse went wide eyed. "Mr Chris here has a very large scar on his lower back and what ever did this to him was a very large creature to inflict this much damage on his body" the nurse informed the captain as she pointed out my enormous scar.
I look through out the room and notice that some of the female guards where giving me some weird looks and some of the ones with wing had them flared. "your guards are making me uncomfortable so i'm just going to put my shirt back on" I said to Shining.
"how is he alive, even with the muscle he is nothing more than a piece of paper. where are his organs" Shining said getting off topic.
"You see Mr shining dick, Chris is a rear case he can eat and not gain any weight but he has to workout more than usual to gain muscle" David informed the captain. "And since he always has adrenaline going through his body at all times he could easily beat the crap out of all you're male guards but knowing Chris as long as I have you should know he likes to go for the peaceful solution first" David said to the captain.
"Wait why only the male guards?" a voice said. I look to where the voice came from to see Rainbow Dash, she had rainbow hair and red eyes, she had a light blue T-shirt on and blue denim jeans with a pair of white and blue sneakers.
"Well to answer your question Mrs Dash, Chris here does not hit Females" David said.
"That is sexist" Rainbow said.
"It's not like it's his fault though" David said.
"What do you mean?" she asked.
"You see Chris's dad was a bit up tight when it came to his kids and rules" David said.
"So his dad would just tell him a bunch of rules and he would follow them so easily, he looks old enough to make his own choices" Rainbow said.
"I do make my own choices now it's just my own business why I don't hit females and why are we talking about this anyways their are still people pointing weapons at us" I said to them bringing them back to reality.
"oops sorry, Shining tell your guards to put their weapons down" Twilight said to Shining.
"But they attacked one of my guards" Shining said which confused me.
"Wait when did we attack your guard?" I asked Shining armor.
"Yeah that was me" I heard David say.
"See he admits it" Shining said reminding me of a kid.
"Shining, David did that trying to protect Chris, if some one you knew was bleeding badly and unknown creatures surrounding one of your friends would you watch idly by not knowing their intentions" Twilight said to Shining who was hesitating to put his weapon down. "Shining" Twilight demanded.
Shining lowers his sword and the rest of his guard do the same and e and his guard left the building. "Hay David what happened to my shirt and flannel?" I asked him.
"Well your shirt and flannel I'll go get it" David said sounding a little nervous.
David came back with my shirt and flannel "here you go" he said as he handed me my shirt and flannel. I feel around my clothes to see why he was so nervous. I reach the back of the shirt to find that it had been torn and was really crusty and so was the flannel. I just sigh at this I turn the flannel around and open the right side pocket and pull out a necklaces, there was a deep aquamarine gem in the middle between two wings and had two diamond shapes pointing down.
Note :I could not find a picture with a aquamarine gem in the middle so please bear with it.
I put the necklaces on 'It sucks that those are ruin but at least I still have this' I thought to myself. I look for a trash can a find one on the other end of the room and toss the torn clothing in it.
"that's a nice necklace ya got there where did ya get it" Said some one with a southern accent. I look to see Applejack, she had orange fur and blond hair and she had emerald green eyes, she was wearing a a stetson on her head and a red and white short sleeve buttoned up flannel and had denim shorts on with cowboy boots.
"My brother gave it to me" I said trying my best to suppress a certain memory.
"Are ya ok?" Applejack asked me.
"Yeah, just a bad memory" I said. "just a bad memory " I repeated to myself in a soft tone but I don't think they heard me the second time.
Chapter 3 I'm out to be put right back in
After i got my stuff and signed my self out of the hospital we were off and walking down "So bro you never told me what happened to the helicopter" I heard David say.
I was about to say something but was cut off "What's a helicopter?" Twilight asked.
"well a helicopter is a type of metal vehicle that can fly" David said answering her question.
Twilight went wide eye (like she doesn't do that a lot) "How does it fly?" She asked.
"Well it's not flying anymore" I said killing two birds with one stone (sort of).
"Why, dude what did you do?" David asked.
"well before Twilight stopped me from telling you I was going to tell you that I shot the Pilot and the whole thing flew right at me and hit the ground behind me sending shrapnel right at me hence the reason of the scare on my back. For your question Twilight" I said reaching in my bag for my sketch book. "I think this will explain how it works and what it looked like" I said handing my sketch book to her.
"I'm not sure if this is what it looks like but if it does then your really good at drawing" Twilight complemented "David is this what the helicopter looked like" she said showing David the drawing.
"Yeah that is the one It's called a 'black hawk' they were manly used for carrying soldiers to a battlefield" David said looking over the drawing. "Dude you're better at drawing then I thought and that it sucks that the whole thing basically hit you" David said.
"Yeah if these numbers above these lines are the length and the height than getting hit by this thing must really hurt" Twilight said.
"that and that who is going to watch those kids of yours?" David asked
"Wait Chris Has kids?" Twilight asked
"Their orphans and I don't really see myself as their dad more like a big brother" I said.
"You become a more interesting pony the more I talk to you" Twilight said.
"Hay do any of you know what the date it is?" I ask to the group leading us around town and in front of a tree.
we walk inside and everyone sites on the sofa "It's Wednesday the 18th of December" Rarity said.
"Oh" I said with sorrow in my voice.
"What, is there something wrong?" Fluttershy asked.
"no, not really, I just got to be alone for a while" I said.
"Why do ya need to be alone, are you sure your ok?" Applejack asked concerned.
"I'm fine I just need to be left alone for a while" I said walking away from the group and away from the tree-house and down the street.
Point of view -David
"What's his problem?" Rainbow asked.
"His birthday is coming up" I said as the whole group look at me.
"Why would he be sad about that usually ponies would be happy if their birthday was coming up" Twilight said.
"usually yes but for Chris it is nothing more than sorrow for him" I said.
"Why does his own birthday make him like that" Rarity asked.
"you'd be sad to if your own birthday reminded you of how your family and friends were killed and that all happened when he was 15 so he might not be right in the head" I said. They all stare to where Chris was last seen walking "I can't even imagine how he has kept himself sane all this time" I continued.
"Why has no pony try to help him?" Fluttershy said before she started to cry at the idea of people dying.
I walk over to her and put my hand on her shoulder "We have tried to help him in the past but he always got angry when we tried."
"Why would he be upset with ponies that are just trying ta help him?" Applejack asked.
"He isn't angry at the people who want to help him he gets that way when people pity him, he say's he feels week and helpless when they do, he also says that no one can really help him anyways" David said.
"I think I understand know" Twilight said.
"I think I know what will cheer him up" A unfamiliar voice said.
I look around for the voice "Who said that?" I asked.
I turn around to be met with a female. She had pink hair and was wearing a pink T-shirt with 3 balloons on it and she was wearing blue jeans with white tennis shoes "Hellomynameispinkiepiewhat'syournamewhatareyouwhereareyoufrom-" She was cut off by a hand covering her mouth.
"Pinkie darling it's rude to just go up to somepony and just start asking random questions" Rarity said.
"Oops sorry" Pinkie apologized.
"Hello my name is David and you are?" I ask her for a name.
"Oh I'm pinkie pie I work at sugar cube corner" Pinkie said telling me her name and where she worked.
"Ok and you said you think you can cheer up my friend I'm open to ideas" I told pinkie hoping she knew a way to cheer up my friend.
"We throw him a party" Pinkie suggested.
I deadpan "I hope you know that may cause mental damage to him" I told pinkie seriously disappointed in her.
"Why" pinkie asked.
"Bad memories from his birthday party at the age of 15 may cause him to break down" I told her.
"Oh come on how bad can throwing him a party be" Pinkie said not knowing anything of what I just said about his party when he was 15.
"One of you tell her how bad his party went" I said looking at the girls.
"Um Pinkie Chris had a really bad birthday like insanely bad" Fluttershy said.
"Oh come on I know some parties can go bad if someone does something stupid but his birthday party couldn't have gone that bad" Pinkie said starting to get really confused why Fluttershy was starting to crying again .
"sugar cube Chris lost a lot of ponies he knew on his birthday" Applejack told pinkie who was starting to frown.
After thinking for 10 to 20 minutes I gave up. "Screw it I know Chris well enough if he saw us acting like this he would tell us to reenact the party just so we would leave it alone" I told them.
"Are you saying we should throw him a party what if his memory comes back in full detail and he looses what sanity he has left" Twilight said.
"I know what I said but sometimes you need to destroy something so rebuild it just like what happened 5 years ago" I told them looking out the window.
"I guess your right but what if this does not work and it just makes it worse?" Fluttershy asked.
"Chris has had a lot happen to him I don't think a party is enough to break him to the point of no return. put him to the edge sure but not break him" I assured her.
"Wait did you say 5 years ago?" Rainbow asked.
"Yeah?" I said wondering what she was getting at.
"And he was 15 when all this started?" Rainbow asked
"Yeah what about it?" Still wondering what she was trying to say.
"I thought he was 17 or 18 or something but he's actually 20 that means he will be 21 and that means that we can drink at the party" Rainbow said getting excited.
I sigh deeply "What now?" Applejack asked.
"Nothing I just hope this was a good idea" I said.
"Where did Chris go anyway I know he walked off but to where?" Twilight asked.
"Let's check outside of town" I told the group as I get up and walk to the door and open it "And we should hurry it's almost dark" I said as I walk out the door to look for Chris.
Point of view -Chris
5 minutes after I left the group and went to walk around on my own I found this hill with a tree on it and started to listen to some music on my phone.(don't say how would he be able if their is not power in an apocalypse there is still solar panels and hydro plants and wind turbines)
After listing to some music for about an hour until I see a shadow go over me "hello mister could we use this spot for a moment" I look to where the voice came from to see a woman she had hair blond and grey fur and wings with a grey T-shirt that had light grey circles on it and she was wearing black jeans with black sneakers but what really stood out was her eyes they were gold and one was looking in a different direction than the other. She also had a kid with her hair was two shades of blond and near her hair was a light purple horn and the rest of her body was the same light purple.
"um sure I was probably up here to long any way" I said getting up and put my earbuds and phone back in my bag started to leave when the small one walks up to me.
"Mister what are those?" she asks while pointing at my guns.
I look at her thinking of something to say. I get on one knee to become eye level with her "Hopefully something you'll never have to touch" I told her.
I grab my chest out of pain "Mister are you ok?" the woman asked concerned.
I look around knowing this feeling way to well "This just happens randomly no idea why though" I lied. "Well I hope you have a good evening" I said starting to walk down the hill still looking around without moving my head.
I was not even half way down the hill before "Wait mister where are you from I have never seen you or anything that looks like you around town before" I heard her say.
"I'm new here I just got her today so it's no wonder you never seen me" I told her.
"I never even saw you enter town though" she said.
"how would you know if I entered town or not?" I asked narrowing my eyes.
"Well I deliver the mail so i'm all over town so I thought that if you got here today I would have at lest seen you once today" She said defending her self.
"Well the reason you never saw me is because I just got out of the hospital" I said instantly regretting it.
"What happen to you to put you in the hospital?" she asked.
"Nothing to bad plus you shouldn't really worry about me from the looks of it you came here to have a picnic and I can see she is hungry" I said looking at the small one standing right next to her.
"Yeah we are" she said and smiled at her kid next to her.
I was about to turn and leave when I saw something raise behind from the woman and aim right for her back I start to sprint towards her "Look out!" I yell. I finally get in front of her and shove her out of the way just in time to get stabbed in the chest with a stinger?. with the last of my strength I pull my pistol out and shoot the thing, which looked like a loin with a scorpion tail, right in the face.
After the thing lay dead I pull my self off the stinger by falling back. I hear the woman from before calling out to me and I open my eyes to see that she is crying and just like that it all went dark once again.
Chapter 4 - winter is coming
Once again I was in the void of my subconscious and once again in the void was the two figures from last time "you just can't seem to stay safe and away from danger" the red and black figure at this point I have been calling 'yin' said.
I look at him with a no more than a deadpan look "did you think I would just let someone die in front of me if I was able to stop it" to said a little annoyed by my predicament.
"We know you would never stand idly by as somepony was hurt if you could stop it" the gold and white figure that I now proclaimed to be 'yang' said.
"Well I'm back here and don't know what to say really" I said not really having any questions for them.
"Good because we have somethings we might have forgot to tell you when we helped you and your friend out" Yang said with a hint of shyness in her voice.
I look at her a little curious about what she forgot "And what are these things you forgot?" I asked trying to figure out what she was trying to tell me.
"Well you should already know that your mind and body are in two different places your, consciousness is here while your body is in the real world.... well your body is reacting really badly to the magic in your body and is now..... burning as we speak" Yin said poking his two pointer fingers together.
I think my eye twitched a bit at that last part "Please one of you explain" I told the to figures that have been in my mind ever since I got to this world.
"Well the magic we used to bring you here is now in you and you can use it on your own but I'm not surprised by that but since your body is not like ours and it was not originally something you had your body is making it into it's own and the reaction is that your body is burning but you are not on fire your body is just smoking at the moment" Yang said explaining my situation.
"I don't know why I should be worried that if my body is just smoking and not on fire I think I'll be fine" I said not caring about how my body was reacting.
Yin was surprised by my response "But you could die!" he said starting to freak out.
"listen do you know how high my blood temp is, seriously you could use my skin to make breakfast. not that I want some one to use me as a human stove or anything" I said trying to calm down.
"And what does you'er high blood temperature have to do with anything" Yang said not getting what I'm getting at.
"If nether of you remember my body has practically been on fire for a long time even in cool weather I was able to keep myself worm with nothing more than a pair of jeans and a jacket" I said trying to make them calm down.
"True you have been known for surviving worse" Yang said finally.
"So how long while I be here this time?" I asked them both.
"Well your about to wake up actually" Yin said.

I stood there watching as my best friend started to scream and I could see why his whole body was starting to smoke like he was being roasted from the inside out. the doors to my left swung open and some doctors and nurses rushed to Chris's side trying to fix what was wrong.
"What the hell is going on. what is happening to him?" I yelled freaking out because my friend was literally burning alive.
"I have no idea but what ever it is it wont stop" The doctor closes to me said equally terrified about what was happening.
After a half hour of this Chris finally stopped screaming and moving all at once even though he was not screaming any more I was more worried now than when he was. After all this happened I sat down in the chair next to his bed and I look at the nurse leaving the room she was the same from when Chris was first put in here "Miss what did that to him do any of you know what the hell just happened?" I asked.
The nurse looks at me with a sad expression "I don't know what was the cause of this and I don't think the others do either" She said with a saddened look on her face as she look to where Chris lay.
"Miss I'v seen you around here a lot and I think I might see you more if this keeps happening so what's your name?" I asked the woman.
"My name is nurse RedHeart and I think so to" Nurse RedHeart said with a sad smile I knew she would rather meet on better terms. as she leaves the room I hear a groan coming from Chris.
"Bro are you awake?" I asked a little above a whisper.
Point of view -Chris
I open my eyes to be met with a bright light and I just groan and close my eyes 'screw you light let me sleep some more' I think to myself.
I just roll on my side not giving a shit about how much my body hurt. "Bro are you awake?" I heard David say and I just roll over again way from him and pull up the blanket.
"I'll take that as a yes" he said chuckling to him self.
I heard a door slam open "What happened, where is he, is he ok" Said a alarmed voice that I recognized as Twilight. I look outside from my covers to be tackled by a yellow blur.
"Thank goodness you're ok we heard what had happened and we rushed over here to see you" Fluttershy said Crying in my chest.
I regain my composure or what I had to begin with and pat her on the head 'Why is everyone so emotional' I thought to my self as usual. "Hay what happened to that one woman that I was with before I was stabbed by something, I mean is she ok?" I asked concerned about the woman that I had been with before I had gotten stabbed by that one creature.
They look at me like I was crazy "Darling she is completely fine, minus a few mental scares, it's you we are worried about we had heard that you were burning up to the point to where your flesh was smoking" Rarity said beginning gagging because of the thought.
"So what happened and how did I get to the hospital before I bled out?" I asked.
"Well we went to find you and we saw a, Mare?" David said looking at the group who just nodded. "The mare was covered in blood and holding a kid we thought she was attacked so we tried to help her but she was saying that there was somepony on the hill hurt and I went to see what happened. Only to find you with a hole in your chest and a dead Manticore?" he said looking back at the group again getting another nod from the group of five ponies and the one still holding onto my chest "Manticore dead in front of you" he finished.
"Not even the Docs know how ya survived" Applejack said as Fluttershy let go of my chest and went back to her friends.
"Well i'm glade your ok man" David said, as he got up a guy in a mailman uniform came walking in through the double doors.
He walked up to twilight and pulled out two letters before talking "Mrs Twilight, Mr Chris I have some letters for you." Me and Twilight take our respected letters from the mailman.
Before I could ask him who sent these but the mailman was gone. "Oh my gosh, I can't believe I forgot about this" I look to Twilight who was somehow done reading her letter before I could even open mine.
"What's going on?" I ask.
She snapped her towards me so fast that it should have Broken her neck. "I have a heart warming party to go to" Twilight said. I just give her a questioning look. "You know. Snow, eggnog, stuff like that" She said clearly not getting that fact that me and David came from a completely different world.
I would have said something but David step in first. "From where we are from we call that Christmas" He Said.
David pulls out an old photo from his back pocket and showed them it. The photo showed them me, David, Nathan, and Drake Sitting in front of a Christmas tree with a few other things in the background. "Why do some of them have red X's over them?" Rainbow asked.
As David puts the photo away I decide it's my turn to talk "Some times it's just easier to mark'em off than to have to bury them." After I said that the room became quiet. I take this moment to open my letter's? 'Wait I thought he only handed me one' I thought to my self. Opening the first letter that was from someone named Derpy.
It read
Hope you get well soon and thank you for saving me and my daughter
PS. I hope to see you at Pinkies hearths warming party .
I would have opened the second letter but the fact that the letter had invitation on it made me just take a guess who's party it was. Something about the get well card made me feel uneasy it was probably the part where it read 'see you at the party' because how would she know I would even be able to make it.
After signing myself out of the hospital once again I walked outside to be met with a cold breeze hitting my face. "Well this is going to be awkward"I say rubbing my arms.
