Doctor Whooves: Friendship Games Part 1
Emergency
Load Full StoryNext ChapterThe TARDIS finished dematerializing, and the Doctor ran out of, wearing a light blue shirt, red bracers and bowtie, and tan tweed jacket. He drew his sonic screwdriver, and rushed over to the girls standing in front of Canterlot High School. He stopped right in front of the them and asked, in an exhausted voice, "What's going on? I got a phone call, what's going on?! Cybermen, Daleks, Zygons!?"
Sunset added in, "Is there Equestrian magic on the loose? Did something come through the portal?"
"Did a giant cake monster cover all the cakes in the world with cake?!" Pinkie Pie shouted, causing both Sunset and Adagio to face palm.
Rainbow Dash, who was pulling her guitar out of her case replied, "Um, not exactly."
Sunset scratched the back of her head. "Uh, I don't understand."
Applejack rolled her eyes, and looked at the Doctor and the others. "I was just telling Rainbow Dash here, that a broken guitar string doesn't exactly count as an emergency."
Rainbow Dash replied, "It totally does!"
"Really, Rainbow Dash, I was in the middle of sewing a very complex advocate for my latest frock." Rarity said.
"And, I was about to tuck in everyone in for the night at the shelter. Now I have to start stories all over again." Fluttershy said, who was petting her rabbit.
"I was working on a new magical scanner. I was just finished with the calibration, and now I need to restart it all over again." Twilight said, adjusting her glasses.
"I was just about to buy a Cyberman head from the Galactic Market." The Doctor said, placing his screwdriver back in his pocket, "Now, I have to hope to get back before it's sold to someone else."
"Wait a minute!" Adagio intervened, and glared at Rainbow Dash, "Are you telling me that you stopped us all from doing something important, just because you have a broken guitar string?! Why didn't you just go to Guitar Center and buy a new one, rather than bother all of us?!"
"YEAH!!!" The others agreed.
Rainbow Dash smiled. "Well, I was gonna pony up and show our fans some awesome guitar licks," she gestured to the Crusaders sitting on the top step, "But, I kinda need all six strings to do it. Got any extra?"
The other eight sighed. Sunset reached into her backpack, and pulled out a low E string. "Here." She said, handing Rainbow the string. "But, everyone finished practicing for the day, I think all the music rooms are locked."
"No problem!" Rainbow said, cockily. "The acoustics in the hallway are perfect for power chords." She strummed her guitar loudly. "Come on, let's go!" Everyone followed Dash into the school, save the Doctor, Twilight, and Sunset.
Applejack looked back. "You three comin'?" She asked.
"We'll be with you in a moment." Sunset said, and sat down the steps, the to other two sitting down next to her. She glanced at the Doctor's look. "What happened to the purple coat?" She asked.
The Doctor tugged on his tweed jacket. "Oh, this old thing?" the Doctor said, "I was in a rush, and this was what I had."
"It's nice, it makes you look like a professor." Twilight said.
The Doctor chuckled. "Funny, I had a friend you use to call me the professor."
"Yes, well, I hear there's a spot opening at CHS soon." Sunset said. "I just hope we get a good teacher to replace Mr. Turner."
"Mr. Turner?" the Doctor asked. "That teacher who looked liked my last incarnation?"
"That's him." Sunset said. "According the Rainbow Dash, he plans to leave the school to spend time with his family."
"Oh." the Doctor said. "So, anything new..." the Doctor's voice trailed off, as he saw five girls standing around the Wondercolts statue, each holding a roll of toilet paper. They each wore jeans, and a purple hoodie, and began unravelling the toilet paper. "Hey!" the Doctor shouted, catching the girls by surprise, and causing Sunset and Twilight to look up.
"What're you doing!?" Sunset shouted, as she, Twilight, and the Doctor stood up, as the five girls jumped. One of the girls placed a note against the statue, and began running.
"Hey! Stop!" Sunset yelled, as the three ran towards the five girls. Twilight stopped at the statue to examine the note, as the five girls quickly boarded a bus which sped away. As the Doctor pulled out his screwdriver to scan the leaving bus. "Who were they?" Sunset asked.
"Well, they were human, that's true enough." The Doctor said, looking at the screwdriver emitter. "But, why were they here?" He asked, and glanced over to Twilight, who was stuck looking at the note.
"Twilight?" the Doctor asked, walking back over to her. "Are you alright?"
The Doctor looked at the note, and mumbled, "Oh..."
"What is it?" Sunset asked, and walked over to them. The Doctor peeled it off the statue, and showed it to Sunset, who was at a lost for words.
Twilight,
You should've stayed with us,
You could've won.
Yours truly,
Sour Sweet
