Unanswered Questions

Equestria: Outside Ponyville Hospital

“Do you know where my clothes and necklace are? I lost track of them in the hospital,” Sora said. Without saying a word, Rarity levitated said necklace out of her saddlebags. Twilight knew that Rarity would have considered the clothes as a lost cause. They had a considerable amount of blood on them and had two huge holes on them.

Sora reached for his necklace, but as soon as he had touched it, Twilight felt a surge of magic come from it. The necklace had changed from silver to gold. Sora, unfazed by the change, placed the necklace on himself. Twilight felt another shift of magic come from the necklace. The necklace glowed and lifted him slightly off the ground. He then gave a brief spasm and the area was lit up from a flash and almost everypony near her was knocked over from a fractured magical shockwave of some sort.

Once the light eased, Twilight looked and saw Sora was now lying on the ground. But he was different, he was wearing golden colored clothes that seemed to be modeled after the ruined clothes and his chain was back to it’s silver color.

“What the hay just happened!?” Rainbow Dash asked.

“I’m not sure, but that was a strange magical display,” Flash replied.

“Should we check and see if he’s okay?” Fluttershy asked timidly.

“I’m not sure, Sugarcube,” Applejack answered, “he doesn’t look like he got hurt.”

“Other than the fact that he’s out like a light...” Twilight muttered to herself.

“And clothes appeared on him from nowhere,” Rarity commented to Twilight.

Twilight looked to Doctor Horse, who was still in the doorway of the Hospital. “Is he okay?” Twilight asked him. The Doctor walked to where Sora was and did a magical medical scan.

“He’s unconscious, but he doesn’t need hospitalization. Just some bed rest and maybe a few explanations...both to and from him,” he said.

“Alright, we’ll get right on it,” Flash said, as he hoisted Sora onto his back. Directing his attention to Twilight, he said, “We can have him rest in the Castle and we can explain what had happened when he wakes.”

Equestria: Friendship Castle (Spare Bedroom)

After bringing Sora into one of the spare bedrooms, Flash had rushed to Twilight, informing her of him waking up. When they arrived to the bedroom door, they found Sora messing with a small black slab of something.

“Ugh! Jiminy, could you help me?” Sora shouted in frustration. After he said that, a small cricket dressed in a dress coat and top hat appeared out from his hair and looked at what he was frustrated at. What surprised Twilight and Flash was that the cricket, apparently named Jiminy, spoke.

“Are you having trouble operating it?” he asked “Because I barely knew what I was doing when I had my journal digitized.”

“It’s not that,” Sora countered, “I can’t get in contact with Lea, Leon, or Neku; so I’m trying to contact Tony to try and get him to relay a message and send some blueprints for something that can boost the signal here. I just need to remember his number.”

Twilight felt a light tapping on her shoulder and found Spike standing there. He held a message in his hands. Before he announced the message arrival, Twilight shushed him and had him leave the message with her. Turning back to what was going on, Twilight saw him tapping on the device before hearing a strange noise. The noise carried on for a few moments before a click was heard. After the click she heard muffled speaking.

“You have reached Tony Stark’s Identical-Sounding Voice Chip, or you can call it his answering…” Twilight heard before Sora cut off the voice.

“Just stop it, Tony!” Sora said sharply, “I need help and it’s urgent!”

“Then leave it urgent,” the voice, Tony, said.

“I just need blueprints!” he shouted.

“That doesn’t sound urgent,” Tony said.

“Consider the fact that I’m on another world with very little phone signal, and no way off,” Sora said.

“Oh. That makes it urgent,” Tony contemplated, “So what blueprints do you need?”

“A computer system, a beacon, and a signal booster.”

“Is that it? Do you want me to throw in an order of fries with that?”

“Just get them sent, Stark!” Sora retorted.

Alright, but it may take a while,” he said before there was a beep. Sora groaned in frustration before flopping back onto the bed. Sora began talking to Jiminy, but Twilight wasn’t paying attention to that. She was trying to digest what she had heard. Another world? Twilight knew that she kept the Mirror that led to Canterlot High elsewhere in the castle. He couldn’t have appeared in her room if it was in another room. Were there worlds other than Equestria and Canterlot High?

She considered contacting Princess Celestia, but she remembered that she had sent a message to her already. She picked up the message that Spike had given her, but noticed immediately that the message was different from the others she had received. Rather than a red ribbon and with the Equestrian Royal Seal, The ribbon was blue and had a Silver Heart crest seal on it. She opened the message cautiously and read silently:

Dearest Twilight,

In light of the attack at your castle and of other events that have come to pass, I ask that you and your friends, including your fiancé, come to Canterlot as soon as possible. See to it that Sora, a light red pegasus with a brown mane and a silver crown as a Cutie mark, is also brought to me so that an apprentice of a Lost Master can speak with him.
Princess Celestia.

Twilight was confused about the message. She tapped Flash on the shoulder and showed him the message. “Can you understand any of this?”

After reading the message, he replied, “The best translation I have of that is: ‘Bring everypony you know, plus one, to Canterlot so I can talk to them’.”

“No!” Twilight exclaimed quietly, “It’s the fact that she know’s that Sora is here, and she said something about a Lost Master. What is a Lost Master and how did she know that Sora was here?”

“I’m not sure. But I think we should at least get ready to go to Canterlot. I’ll go find your friends and have the other guards in town ready a few chariots. You get Sora ready.”

Flash trotted off to take care of preparations. Twilight went to Sora’s bedroom and opened it quietly. Sora was now asleep, despite it being close to noon. She trotted to the side of the bed and tapped his hoof. As soon as their hooves made contact, Sora’s eyes shot open and he leapt up in fright with a shout.

“Don’t do that Twilight!” he shouted, after he landed, “You know I...don’t…”

“Sorry, I...forgot…” Twilight responded. She caught herself almost acting as if she knew him. She suddenly started hearing voices in her head.

“She’s beautiful!”

“I know!”

“What should we call her?”

“Twilight Sparkle.”

“And the colt?”

“Silver Crown.”

Once the voices ended, she looked at Sora with a confused look. He had the same look on his face, as if he heard the same voices. Their faces turned to surprise when an explosion of confetti and streamers came from the door. Both Twilight and Sora shouted out in surprize as the room was decked out for a party in very little time. Pinkie Pie appeared next to Sora, earning another yelp of surprize from him.

“Pinkie! What’s all this for!?” Twilight asked loudly.

“It’s for Sora’s ‘Welcome to Ponyville Party’!” Pinkie answered.

“We’re leaving in less than ten minutes!” Flash shouted through the doorway. “We don’t have time for a party!”

“Then we make time for it,” Pinkie said enthusiastically. “I’ll just be a cupcake, a quick game, and then: Off We Go!”

So, one cupcake and one quick game of ‘Pin the Tail on the Pony’ later, the Elements, Flash, and Sora were on their way to Canterlot.

Unknown World: Unknown Location

“The Elements, the Guard, and the Loser are heading to Canterlot to talk to the Lost Master’s Apprentice.”

“What do we do now, Oh, Somber One?”

“The first thing you can do is not call me that.”

“Whoa, dude. Don’t make me a crystal pincushion. I was just joking.”

“I noticed. The second thing is to obtain the other Elements’ essence.”

“Who’s going to do that?”

“Vanitas, you and Xigbar will go and obtain the essences. While Xigbar outranks Vanitas, Vanitas is in charge of the operation. Understood?”

“Yes...Master.”
