In the year 20,00X, most of the humans are extinct, and they performed mutations on ponies long ago, giving them mutant powers, including the ability to speak. Some have become Pegasi while others are either Earth-ponies or unicorns. Unicorns have mutant powers similar to the force from Star Wars.
Now, ponies have taken on the roles that humans used to perform, and Celestia and her sister, Luna, found a way to live for almost forever.
Now, Celestia and Luna found a corporation called "P0N-E", where their goal is to provide peace on the planet that the humans called "Earth", now renamed "Equestria". Celestia is the commander while Luna is the vice-commander.
Twilight Sparkle, Commander Celestia's apprentice, discovered that Celesita's old enemy, Discord, has escaped from his imprisonment and seeks revenge on the ponies. Now it's up to Twilight Sparkle and the Mane 6 to stop Discord once and for all.
This story draws inspiration from Mass Effect, Halo, Star Wars, and Star Trek. Also, Discord is more like Darth Vader from Star Wars in this series, and he's more of a badass.
