Deaths True Light

The dragon was red with black spikes, he was biped in form and had red energy coming out of his mouth. The dragon roared and sent a blast of red energy into ponyville center causing an explosion.

“We have to stop that thing!” Twilight screamed.

“Duh… OK Elizabeth, I'm going to draw that thing out of ponyville. When I do put up a barrier to keep it out.” Alexander said telling his girlfriend the plan.

“OK… Alexander?” Elizabeth said.

“Yes?” He asked.

“Please… be careful and… don't die for real.”  She said.

“Come on Liz you know me… I'm always careful. “ He said smirking as he flew off and punched the dragon out of ponyville. Elizabeth put-up the barrier and was now watching anxiously as Alexander fought. Elizabeth was so preoccupied with watching Alexander fight that she didn't notice the CMC walk up, until Sweetie Belle spoke up.

    “Elizabeth, can you watch over my friends for a bit?” Sweetie Belle said before putting on a ring. “I don't want them to get in any trouble while I go help Alexander.” She added before transforming into a blue lantern and flying through the barrier to give Alexander some backup.

    “What just happened…” Scootaloo said as she and Applebloom watched their friend turn into a lantern and fly off.

“... Ah didn't know she could do that.” Applebloom said.

“Well looks like Sweetie belle can inspire hope in others… interesting.” Elizabeth said.

“Well She did get her ring when she earned her cutie mark!” Pinkie said before bouncing away.

“...” Was all anyone could say when Pinkie suddenly appeared behind them.

“How? does she do that?” Elizabeth said before another explosion erupted and the barrier fell.  In town Sweetie belle used her ring to evacuate the citizens.

    “What kind of energy does a blue ring run on?” Rarity asked Elizabeth.

“Hope!” Alexander said as he crashed into the ground. “OW!”

“Alexander! are you ok?” Elizabeth asked.

“No mom I don't want to do my chores.” he said in a daze.

“He`s fine.” She stated.

{Alexander's POV  a few minutes before. }

“Hey ugly!?”  I shouted as I punched the damn dragon to the outskirts of ponyville. “Why are you attacking ponyville?” I asked as Elizabeth's barrier went up.

“I should be asking you why you're helping them!? you're a Black lantern you're Evil!” The dragon shouted back.

“If you think i'm evil…” I said with my head down until i looked him in the eye. “THEN YOU'VE GOT ANOTHER THING COMING!” I shouted as I blasted a blast he made. the two of us were evenly matched until I noticed his energy start to drain. “Whats wrong?”

“My energy is making him weaker.” a voice said behind me. I looked behind me to see Sweetie belle in a blue lantern outfit.

“... I knew you had the blue ring. Ok I want you to evacuate ponyville, I`ll handle him.” I told her as the dragon sent a blast into the barrier shattering it.

“But what if you get hurt or worse?” Sweetie said.

“DON'T WORRY, I'LL BE FINE! JUST MAKE SURE PONYVILLE'S INHABITANTS ARE SAFE!” I said as I knocked the dragon back outside of ponyville. I watched as Sweetie used her ring to evacuate everypony. What I should have been doing was focusing on the fight at hand. while I was watching Sweetie Belle the dragon blasted me with more red rage and knocked me backwards towards elizabeth, the CMC, and Rarity. Right as I was about to hit the ground I heard Rarity ask what blue rings ran on. “Hope!” I said before I Landed.

{Third POV}

“Alexander I could use some help!” Sweetie said as she was trying to hold off the dragon that was now near Elizabeth and everyone.

Alexander came to his senses to see the red dragon Getting ready to blast his new friends, the innocent ponies of ponyville who accepted him and Elizabeth, the princesses, and most of all his beloved Elizabeth. When he saw what was about to happen his brain snapped. “GET AWAY FROM MY FRIENDS!!!” He shouted sending a blast of black energy straight into the dragon's gut.

When Elizabeth saw this, she looked into Alexander's eyes. His eyes were pure black and she could feel a murderous vibe radiating off of him. oh no! She thought as the realization of what happened hit her.  “ALEXANDER!” She said grabbing his shoulders. “ALEXANDER SNAP OUT OF IT, WERE ALL OK HE HASN'T HURT ANYONE DON'T DO SOMETHING STUPID!” Her shouting seemed to fall on deaf ears as he sent a black blast straight to the red ring and forced it off. “NO!!” She cried as the ring left the dragons finger.

“What's wrong Liz?” Alexander said with a smirk. “I'm not stupid, I heard you yelling and I came to my senses.” He said smiling.

“B-but the dragon…” She trailed off.

“Is fine look.” Alexander said pointing to the dragon.

Elizabeth looked at the dragon who was now unconscious. “How?” she said. “I thought if you forced a red ring off… the berror would die.” She said looking at Alexander.

“There are two ways to take off a red ring without the berror dieing.” Alexander said raising his fingers. “One: the berror of the ring takes it of themselves, and two: taking the ring off by force if there is a Blue lantern nearby to cancel out the red energy.” He informed pointing at Sweetie belle.

“Oh… right, thanks for helping alexander Sweetie belle.” Elizabeth said.

“Not a problem, I was trying to find away to tell everypony that I'm a blue lantern. I was scared that they would think of me as a monster.” Sweetie belle said.

“We would never think of you as a monster. We're your friends.” Scootaloo said. “But I have one question, how were you able to fly?” She asked.

“All lantern rings have the ability of flight.” Alexander explained. “It allows its bearer to fly even if they don't have wings, for example Applejack is an earth pony correct?”

“Yes ah am… why?” Applejack said.

“Because if you, or Applebloom, or big Mac, or any earth pony gets a lantern ring you two will be able to fly.” Alexander said to the astonishment of the ponies around him (except sweetie belle).

“So… if ah got a ring ah could fly?” Applebloom asked.

“Yes.” Alexander said with a knowing look.

“What's with the look?” Bloom asked.

“Oh nothing.” He said smirking.

“Is… she?” Elizabeth asked Alexander.

“... Probably.”  He said smirking even wider.

    “probably what?” Applejack asked with a raised eyebrow.

“Oh you'll see~” Elizabeth sing songed.

    “Lanterns…” Applejack sighed before walking away.

As Applejack walked away a thought occurred to Alexander. “Hey I have a question. Where are me and Elizabeth supposed to sleep?” He asked the remaining ponies.

    The ponies all looked at each other before scattering without a word.

“... that's not nice.” Alexander said pouting. “I thought we were friends… they even cried when I got sealed away.”

    “We might have an idea.” Luna said walking up behind them with a mischievous smirk.

“Why do I get the feeling this is going to get us watched twenty four seven?” Alexander said to no one in particular.

    “You could stay in the chambers next to my sisters, no one uses it and she never goes in there. i can even show you some hidden passages~” Luna sang while wiggling her eyebrows while making her version of a troll face.

“Alright, but you'll have to soundproof your room we have a… LOT of time to ‘make up’.” Alexander said smirking while looking at Elizabeth who had a huge grin on her face.

    “YES!” She said fistpumping as Celestia and Luna both blushed.

“So let's go.” Alexander said as the three of them flew away. he stayed behind for a moment before taking off. As he flew he noticed a small green light flying towards the Apple farm, and go to a certain pony with a red mane and a bow. He smiled as she grabbed the ring and ran off towards home.  ill talk to her about it tomorrow. He thought as he caught up with the others.
