"Send my forces to the streets, no secret meetings! no weapons!" The king shouted, standing up and walking down the hall.
"Yes milord, right away!" Blood ran down a different hall, barking commands at the guards.
Hail, Storm, and Blue were sitting around in a circle. They normally met every other day, they talked about college, work, and mares. "We need leaders for our army, six strong commanders." Celestia said, sitting down. Hail sat across from his friends, whispering to each of them.
"Where is Rex, Aries. and Lightfoot?" Hail asked in his lowered tone, looking at the three stallions parallel to the two sisters.
"I think they're at the bakery." Strom replied, watching the two sister's movements. Celestia walked up, looking into Storm's eyes. Celestia had only been on this world for Twenty years, yet she was bewildered by the fact there had been no uprisings against the evil king. "We have heard of your efforts to protest the king's rule, you would be a great asset to the rebellion. In short, we want you to join "The Free Equestrian Army." Celestia said as a Red stallion flew in on the group.

"No, we don't need all of you, just Storm." Luna said, walking over to Storm.
"I'm sorry, but if my friends aren't fighting beside me, i'm not going to lead your army." Storm said, walking over to his friends. The six looked at Celestia and Luna with defiant glares. A small grin spread across Celestia's face as she spoke.
'Fine then, from this moment forward, you are the leaders of the Free Equestrian Army."
Abyss frowned as he walked through the training camp. The guards were getting lazy, it had been ten years since the last uprising or riot. Now with the rumors of this "Free Equestrian Army" Abyss felt something he hadn't felt in a long time. He felt fear.
"General, why aren't these guards training?" Abyss asked Blood. Blood flinched with every word Abyss said.
"S-sire, is i-it really prudent-" Before Blood could finish, Abyss smacked him to the side with an Iron-clad hoof. Abyss slowly rose in the sky on a tower of shadow.
"Listen my loyal guards and listen well. If you don't start really training, then i'll have you hung, and your families starved!" With these words, the guards started moving around. Abyss wiped at his mouth, a bit of black blood leaking from it.
Celestia and Luna walked through their own training camp. Blue and Aires were training the pegasi in aerial combat, Hail and Storm were Training the Unicorns in battle magic, and Rex and Lightfoot were training the earth ponies in hoof-to-hoof combat.
"Sister, I think we should be ready to attack within the month." Luna said, smiling at the scene of hard-working ponies training to gain their freedom.
"Patience Luna, they are not warriors yet." Celestia responded. She got Storm and dragged him into a tent with her and Luna. Spread out on a table, was a map of Equestria.
"So Storm, this is the king's castle." She points to Castle Everfree.
"We'll occupy it while our castle is being built here." She points to an expanse of grass that is present-day Canterlot.
"Now we will start our advance here in South Ponyville, then Aires and Blue will lead the air brigade to take Cloudsdale, you and the others will be advancing up Ponyville till you reach the Everfree forest. Then we will regroup, and make one single advance, and take the castle." Luna said, pointing to all the locations she had mentioned.
"What happens to me and my friends once the war is over?" Storm asked.
"You'll be heroes, and will be honored." Celestia said.
"But what if we die before the war is over?" Storm asked Luna.

"And what happens to all the other ponies who die?" Storm questioned.

"Storm, you must understand-"

Abyss sat on his throne, pondering how to handle this newest threat.

A pony ran in front of Storm and towards a guard. Blue smiled, about to hug Aires as he heard a panicked pony yell 'Commander Aires!' and an arrow slammed into Aires' side. Blue screamed and ran to catch his falling love as the pegasi killed the attacking guard.
Rex was making his attack from a distance, commanding a squad of catapults. They took down defensive towers around the town.
He smiled as the last tower fell and the Earth ponies cheered.
"Alright boys, let's go kick some ass!" But before he could join his troops, Blue flew down, holding Aires in arms.
"MEDIC!" Rex barked, running to them. Aires wasn't moving and Blue was crying.
"Please, Save him Rex...... Help him....." Rex looked at his friends and moved a hoof to the arrow. He pulled it out and Aires yelped. Rex got his sword heated up and slowly cauterized the wound. Aires was still and not breathing. Blue shook him, tears falling down onto the wounded pegasus's face.
"Wake up, please Aires, wake up!" He shouted, shaking and hugging Aires close. Rex sighed and put a hoof on Blue's shoulder.
"Blue, he's gone..." Blue's sobs increased in volume upon hearing this.
Storm panted as he faced down General Blood.
"Get out of my way!" Storm shouted at him. Blood shook his head.
"No brother, I will not." Blood drew his sword and ran at Storm. Storm lept up, dragging his blade across Blood's back.
"Damn you Nathan! Damn you for making me do this!" Storm shouted, tears falling down his cheeks.
"M-My name........... Is............ Blood......." Blood said, falling over and dying. Thus, Ponyville and Cloudsdale were liberated... but at what cost?
Aires was buried the next morning by Blue. Blue was completely emotionless now, all he wanted to do was kill the enemy. Storm buried his brother next to their parents, wondering how he would tell Spring that he had to kill Nathan. Celestia stood next to Storm, laying her head on him. Rex was trying to clean Aires' blood off of his armor. Hail was sitting with Luna.
"Today we'll charge Everfree castle..." Celestia said, standing up straight. "And we'll win. For Aires, and all the brothers and sisters we've lost to this war..."
"This isn't a war, war's take months, years to complete, this is just one big battle...." Rex said, finally washing the blood off of his armor. Luna hugged Hail as Blue stood up.
"Let's get this over with." He picked up a sword and flew to his battalion.
Abyss flew into a rage.
"What do you mean the rebels sacked Ponyville AND Cloudsdale?!!" He screamed at the guard in front of him.
"S-sir... commander blood is dead...." The guard stuttered out. Abyss sat down in his throne and put a hoof to his head.
"If they can take Ponyville and cloudsdale, they could take this castle....." Abyss said, then, he had a strike of genius.
"Guard, have some of our soldiers join their army. then when they least expect it, have them kill the commanders of the rebel army. They'll flee without their precious leaders!"
"R-Right away sire."
Storm kissed Celestia, hugging her tightly.
"You come back storm, come back and be with me." She said, looking into his eyes. Storm smiled and nodded.
"New recruits! Looks like deserters!" Rex yelled as the guards ran up and bowed.
"We are tired of Abyss, we wish to be free." They said. storm thought for a moment, then nodded.
"Yes, we can use you."
In Everfree Castle, everypony could hear Spring's howls as her foal was being born. It was a long and grueling experience, but at the end of it, Abyss was smiling at his son. A black stallion with red eyes and a purple mist flowing from his eyes.
"I shall name him Sombra. And he shall be a great ruler! Guard, take him to the crystal empire and have my brother raise him." Despite Spring's protests, they young colt was taken away to another place.
Storm and the other unicorns were running a battering ram into the door of the castle.

He turned and stabbed the traitor behind him. Storm looked up to see where Blue had fallen. His fellow soldiers had caught him and set him in the rebel camp. Storm looked around and Saw Hail leading a charge through a hole in the castle wall. An arrow was shot and it pierced his neck. Storm's mouth dropped as he ran to his friend.
"Hail! HAIL!" He screamed, grabbing Hail's limp body and carrying him to the camp. Storm was filled with an uncontrollable rage, three of his friends now lay dead, claimed by the battle. He ran back to the battle.
Rex had his spear in his mouth, stabbing and slashing through legions of guards. He panted as he started to tire, but he kept going. He thought of Lightfoot, and how much it would hurt her if he didn't come home, so he kept fighting. He eventually made it to the Hold's main gate. He started hacking at it with his axe. Storm and dozens of other ponies joined in as they finally knocked down the door.
There were several guards waiting for them and Rex was stabbed in the leg as countless other ponies were mowed down by a line a crossbows. Storm was filled to the brim with rage upon seeing them wound Rex. He rose up on shadows as he took one large stomp. Shadows came from the ground and thrust themselves through the guards, solidifying and killing them. As the other rebels were taking care of Rex, Storm rose up to the throne room. Abyss turned around and put his sword to Spring's neck.
"I'll kill her if you take another step!" He shouted. As he wasn't looking, spring bucked him towards Storm and storm held out his sword, impaling Abyss with it. Black Blood dribbled down Abyss's lip as his eyes widen. He frowned and slowly lifted his sword, stabbing Storm. Spring shouted and Ran to the two, Abyss died like a coward, lying on the floor. Celestia flew in and caught Storm as he fell.
"No Storm! Please don't go!" She Yelled, tears spilling down her face as she held Storm. Storm smiled weakly and put a hoof on celestia's heart.
"Make sure... we're not... forgotten..." Storm uttered his last words and faded away into a peaceful afterlife.
After the battle, everypony rejoiced, except Luna and Celestia. The deaths of four friends laid heavily on their consciousness. Rex and Lightfoot spent the rest of their days together, raising a colt they affectionately name Starswirl. "Remember daughter, you shouldn't waste good clothes." He mother said, picking up a helmet with an S carved on it. Celestia walked over, stopping in her tracks upon seeing her lover's helmet.
"My goodness, Celestia, are you ok?" Rarity's mother asked.
"Y-Yes, i remember that helmet..." Celestia said. Rarity looked at it for a minute, then smiled.
"It's shiny, may i have it miss Celestia?" Rarity asked, looking up at the princess. Celestia smiled and nodded.
"This book is so interesting!" Twilight shouted.
"What's it about Twily?" Shining Armor asked.
"How Celestia and Luna came to power!" She said, reading it intently. Celestia walked in the library and smiled, seeing the youth reading on Equestrian history.
"Celestia flew up to Cloudsdale and saw Rainbow Dash wearing goggles that Aires and Blue made.
"Man, these are so cool!" She yelled, zipping through the air.
Celestia flew down to Everfree forest and saw Fluttershy. She was holding up a tiara that was Lightfoot's.

Celestia flew to the apple farm. Applejack was trying to buck down some apples when a straw hat that belonged to Rex.
Later in their lives, celestia and Luna saw the Six become great friends.

"Because we've seen this before."
