Chapter 3

"HEY GET UP GET UP GET UP GET UP GET UP!~" sang shouted Surprise bouncing down the corridor, opening each door and peeking in every now and again to see if they were ACTUALLY getting up.

"Ok, ok I think they get it Surprise they're surely awake..." mumbled Rainbow standing by the door.

"Oh ok!" grinned Surprise bouncing over to her and bouncing beside her.

"YOU HEARD HER, GET UP AND LINE UP IN FRONT OF ME! YOUR CADET UNIFORMS ARE IN THE CUPBOARDS IN YOUR ROOM!" shouted Rainbow.

Storm trudged out and looked at the clock as her jaw dropped.

"Mum you know it's like, I dunno 5 in the morning?! You said 12!" shouted Storm as Rainbow glared at her.

"20 PRESS UPS, GO! YOU KNOW WHAT? ACTUALLY ALL OF YOU CAN, GO!" shouted Rainbow blowing her whistle as Storm's jaw dropped but obeyed as did the other cadets.

"RULE NUMBER ONE OF THE ACADEMY, YOU NEVER, I SAY NEVER TALK BACK TO ANY INSTRUCTOR UNLESS TOLD, well unless it's in free time BUT YEAH! ANY PONY WANNA DEMONSTRATE THAT AGAIN?!" asked Rainbow glaring at them all.

Slinging slowly raised his hoof as his eye went in different directions magically and he blurted out, "I AM TALKING BACK TO YOU WHAT YOU GONNA DO RAINBOOM?!"

Rainbow's eyes narrowed at him, as she slowly made her way over to him and raised a hoof as he suddenly disappeared.

Rainbow then spun around and whacked him in the head behind her, his eyes widened and he rubbed his head and looked at her in confusion.

"How did you do that?" asked Slinging as Rainbow glared at him and he quickly saluted.

"I'm magic kid." whispered Rainbow smirking and making her way back over to the front of the line as the cadets stared at her in awe.

"Try that again I'll probably beat you to death, your using a classic for what I've been encountering in my life." snickered Rainbow.

Slinging stared at her for a moment before shrugging and getting back into line with his eyes normal.

"Wait so you mean I have to go through the cupboard and ehm... errr find the things for the flag hunt that are covered in dust... and water?" asked Surprise nervously.

"Uhm is it covered in dust an-"

"YES! I'm telling you, you need to go to the cupboard that is covered in dust and water!" snickered Soarin watching the cadets do laps, completely cutting off Rainbow.

"The cupbord is covered i-"

"HMMF! Fine!" shouted Surprise angrily but smiling bouncing off in a direction, cutting off Rainbow.

"... Is the cupboard cov-"

"Done!" said Wind Swept proudly landing.

"I dunno why I even try..." grumbled Rainbow.

"What?" asked Soarin raising an eye brow at her as Rainbow gritted her teeth.

"Whatever, good job Wind, take from your parents rather well." smirked Rainbow.

"Uhh thanks!" said Wind not taking any note in that she was one of the top wonderbolts in the team.

"He's kinda takes up for Lightning Streak more than Fire Streak don't cha think?" whispered Soarin.

"Give him a chance I can see it Soar." whispered Rainbow.

Surprise came trudging back with her mane soaking wet and patches of dust on her. She was carrying a bucket and slime and water as she dumped it on the ground with a flat look on her face, it turning into a scowl as she glared at Soarin.

"I haven't been in it for ages, is THIS what YOU mean by 'Oh it's a little filthy but fine to go in!'" Imitated Surprise close to how Soarin spoke with a derpy look on her face as she said it.

All the cadets were just watching with a little amusement on their faces as Rainbow glanced at them and smirked.

"Give me 50 press ups! Each one with your wings and if you fall or slow down, START AGAIN! GO!" shouted Rainbow.

Without hesitation, they got to the ground and started.

"... Do I really sound like that and look like that?" asked Soarin sarcastically.

"YES! I um mean NO! Wait YES!" shouted Surprise not really getting the sarcasm.

"I know times when you do." smirked Rainbow as Soarin glanced at her with a blush on his face whilst Surprise burst out laughing.

Silver suddenly walked out and looked at them before rolling his eyes and flying over to some flags to set up the flag hunt.

-Once it was set and stuff-

"OKAY! Each of you will be split up into teams by either me, or my assistants." Soarin glanced at Surprise and Rainbow for a moment as they glared at him, smiling, he carried on, "These will be your teams for the rest of the day, SO GET USED TO THEM!"

Rainbow and Surprise looked at each other flatly and winked as Rainbow flew up and shouted, "Our trusty assistant, SOARIN will be splitting up your teams and will do a night call! He promises that! He told me earlier!"

Soarin groaned and glared at the girls as they smirked and flew back down.

"And if you don't, you know what'll happen." smirked Rainbow.

"YOU WON'T GET LAID!" shouted Slinging.

Rainbow's and Soarin's wings suddenly shot open with a blank look on Soarin's face and a heavy blush on Rainbow's.

"N-NO! THAT WAS NOT WHAT I WAS GOING TO SAY!" shivered Rainbow awkwardly.

"..."

"OH, OKAY!" shouted Slinging happily.

"Ewww thanks for putting an image in my head of them... y'now... doing it..." mumbled Storm.

"I kinda forgot their your parents." snickered Flaring.

After Soarin wait no, he was too awkward to, CUT!

After Surprise ordered them into groups, Storm looked at her team of 5. (25 cadets altogether)

She had Flaring, Dynamite, and two colts that she didn't know about.

"I'm in charge" growled Dynamite as the two colts looked at each other nervously and Dynamite glared at them.

"Uhm ok..." said Storm awkwardly.

"You two stay watch, others find flags, got it?!" shouted Dynamite pointing at Flaring and one of the colts.

"Uh alright..." said Flaring looking at Storm in alarm as Storm shrugged.

"Well what are you waiting around for?! GO!" shouted Dynamite.

"We weren't ordered to." pointed out Storm as Rainbow snickered from a few metres away from them, hearing their conversation.

"Yeah you actually weren't but~ 3 2 1 GO!" shouted Rainbow as the teams shot off.

"Wait what colour flag are we looking for?!" asked Storm.

"... F*****g YELLOW!" shouted Dynamite angrily as Storm frowned and her eyes landed on a yellow flag in a tunnel as she motioned them to it.

"WAIT! GO IN TO IT ONE AT A TIME! IT'S TOO NARROW!" shouted Dynamite as the other colt looked a bit confused but obeyed.

Storm thought for a moment not sure if she should do what he said but she gave up and did the same.

As they approached the inner tunnel, Storm realised that they couldn't have made it and crashed if they were in the earlier formation, Dynamite dived in front and grabbed the flag with his hoof, motioning to follow behind him as he spun in a circle 2 times as he accelerated out of the tunnel faster than before dropping the flag by Flaring and the other colt and landing by them.

"You can't hide it here! I saw the other teams spying on you!" exclaimed Dynamite harshly but not too loud.

"Hey Dynamite, I know it's kind of a bad place but could you consider your word selection a bit nicer?" asked Storm.

"... NO!" shouted Dynamite with a little hesitation and the slightest bit of worry in his face before shooting off.

"What's up with him?" asked Storm.

"Dunno..." said Flaring.

"By the way, I'm Fury and he's Night Sky."

"Cool, Icy Storm, Flaring."

"Kinda know that Storm, I mean your the leader of Commander Soarin and Rainbow! Anyway c'mon, let's find those flags!" cheered Sky as Storm nodded and they both shot off after Dynamite.

-After the flag hunt-

"Blah blah blah, boring stuff that you don't wanna hear... AHAH! The team that came last is err team 5... SURPRISE WHO IS TEAM 5?!" shouted Rainbow looking at a sheet of paper in confusion.

"OH I DUNNO!" shouted Surprise as Rainbow face hoofed.

"Ok you'll know who you are, last came Explosion's team, next Ace's team, next Slinging's team, Next Dynamite's team and coming first place, beating Dynamite's team by 2 points, is Wind Swept's team! Now go to the mess hall and EAT!" shouted Rainbow running off as most of the cadets looked at Storm.

Storm looked at them all and raised an eye brow.

"What? Just because shes my mother you think I can read her mind?! Well I am guessing shes going to take out on my dad but... oh right... I can't read her mind!" said Storm awkwardly shuffling her hooves, kinda confused with her self.

"Uhmm okay?" asked Flaring as Storm sighed.

"Ignore me! I'm crazy..." mumbled Storm as they went back to doing their own things.

Dynamite grunted and just flew over to his brother as they met up and they just went inside.

"Jeez they're grumpy aren't they?" asked Night Sky.

"Yeah... but the thing is Dynamite knows alot about flight and abilities it seems, I just think he doesn't know about being kind to ponies..." said Storm.

"Yeah he is actually really good." said Fury.

"Hmm maybe we can teach him one day or he'll learn from it." said Flaring.

"Hmm maybe I'm going to get breakfast, cya guys later!" said Storm.

"Yeah meet ya in a few!" called Flaring as Storm flew over to the mess hall.

Storm went to get some food and sat at an empty table and started eating.

"Hey uhm may I sit here?" asked a voice from behind her.

Storm turned around to see Wind Swept as she nodded and his eyes widened in surprise.

"Really? I mean every pony else has been denying me..." mumbled Swept.

"Well I'm not every pony else am I?" smirked Storm as Swept smirked and rolled his eyes sitting down.

"Thanks anyway!" smiled Swept.

"No problem, your Wind Swept right?" asked Storm as he nodded.

"I'm Icy Storm." nodded Storm.

"Cool... So I'm guessing you know my parents if you know me?" asked Swept.

"Well really, my friend told me that but also my parents are Soarin and Rainbow Dash." said Storm.

"Oh, so your the one that they've been talking about! Your kinda popular around the world y'now." smirked Swept

"Yeah... how can I not know? It's everywhere." sighed Storm.

"Hey, you ok?" asked Swept.

"Huh? Oh yeah, I'm fine." said Storm cracking a smile, but not enough to convince him.

"I know that smile Storm." said Swept raisin an eye brow.

"Fine... It's just that I DON'T like it that I get so much attention just because my mother is a element of harmony and also a wonderbolt along with my father..." grumbled Storm.

"I know the feeling, hah pretty much all my friends were faked." chuckled Swept as Storm's eyes widened.

"You've never actually had a REAL friend?" asked Storm.

"I guess not... I mean I've always been by my care taker who never took me out, my parents were hooked up with work and like never got the time off, they still came back at night but I still wanted to spend time with them. I guess I'll see them much more now but heh... I don't think I could take my mothers crushing hugs..."

"Jeez... and I thought every pony had friends, when my parents went to work, I often stayed at my friends house... or school in fact." mumbled Storm.

"I was home schooled by my care taker, I didn't really like her... she always had that look and eventually she did. Well uhh I don't really wanna talk about it... but yeah." mumbled Swept as Night, Fury and Flaring sat down by them.

"Oh... ok... hey guys." said Storm smiling at the 3 as they smiled back.

"Hey! Your Wind Swept right?" asked Fury.

"Yeah." nodded Swept.

"Cool, nice to meet you." smiled Sky.

"You too." smiled Swept as Flaring eyed him but remained silent.

"Anyway he's Night Sky, that's Fury, and this is Flaring." said Storm pointing at them.

Swept smiled in reply and finished off his breakfast and putting his tray in a rack before flying out.

"I'm still not sure about him..." mumbled Flaring.

"He seems nice Flare." said Storm.

"Hmm..."
