Chapter 5

Storm walked to a post box that she recently found out from Night and posted it into the slot before walking back to her room, being stopped by Fire.

"Hey kid your mother told you that I'm your mentor?" Smirked Fire whilst Storm rolled her eyes.

"Yeah! And really, I wouldn't know what to do if it was any pony else." smirked Storm.

"Really? Anyway, cool, I hope to see ya one time when we're not busy." smirked Fire.

"Uh huh, say uh Fire, is your son Wind Swept?" asked Storm blushing a little as Fire smirked.

"Yeah, he is, anything wrong?" asked Fire.

"Uhh nope! Just wanted to know, anyway cya." smiled Storm walking back to her room.

When Fire thought she was out of hearing distance, he chuckled and shook his head.

"Oh I wonder when they'll pull out." smirked Fire thinking about Storm and Swept as he walked to his office.

-Next day-

BEEEEEEPPPP

"MAY ALL CADETS MAKE THEIR WAY OUTSIDE?!" shouted Rainbow through her headset, sending it's way through all the cadets rooms from a speaker.

Surprise bounced up and down with her own headset on and pressing a massive horn some how making a 'beep' sound instead of a 'honk' sound.

"JEEZ! SURPRISE! You can stop." grumbled Rainbow rolling her eyes.

"Oh! Ok!" grinned Surprise whilst Rainbow sighed.

"Would you guys hurry up?" grumbled Rainbow as Storm and Flaring flew out, standing to attention.

"So Dashie, how is my cousin?" smirked Surprise.

"Which cousin?" asked Rainbow raising an eye brow.

"Uhh Pinkie!" grinned Surprise.

"She's fine and as crazy as you." huffed Rainbow.

"Can I blow the horn again?" asked Surprise.

"Girls, cover your ears, yeah you can." smirked Rainbow leaning back on the stairs railing crossing her fore hooves.

"Uhh wha-AAAAA!" shouted Storm as she suddenly shook whilst Surprise literally SAT on it making the loudest noise.

Rainbow didn't even move a bit but flinched when she heard stomping making it's way upstairs and she flattened her ears.

"SURPRISE PARTY PIE WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!" shouted Blaze stomping her hoof with her mane a mess.

"Pshhh Blazey calm down! It was only a loud horn!" snickered Surprise as Rainbow smirked in amusement.

"How do YOU not hear that?" growled Blaze pointing a hoof at Rainbow as she shrugged and ran a hoof through mane.

"This headset is meant to prevent sound, but it doesn't work as well so I'm using it now since we ALL have to have head sets for some reason" smirked Rainbow pointing to Blaze's on her head, making Blaze grit her teeth and storm down stairs.

"Why do you have to wear head sets?" asked Storm.

"Cause it works." smirked Rainbow memorising some words from her book.

"Can't you give straight answers that I ACTUALLY get?" growled Storm.

"Not really!" smiled Rainbow.

"WHAT THE HECK IS TAKING THE CADETS SO LONG?!" shouted Silver Lining.

"ARGHHH! SILVER YOU IDIOT!" shouted Spitfire.

"OH! AND THE HORN WASN'T LOUDER?!" shouted Silver.

"JEEZ! SHUT UP!" shouted Lightning.

"How did I get into this team?" groaned Wave.

"Oh shut up, Surprise, go wake them up or order them to HURRY UP!" shouted Rainbow.

"Ok!" giggled Surprise bouncing into each room and pressing down the honker.

"WITHOUT THE HEAD SET!" shouted Rainbow.

Surprise rolled her eyes and tossed the head set to Rainbow, Dash catching it with her wing.

"We're gonna be late at THIS rate." grumbled Spitfire.

"Why are we even taking them to a show?" asked Soarin.

"I dunno it was on my plan, whose gonna look after the cadets anyway?! I didn't know we had a show!" exclaimed Rainbow.

"Aren't they old enough to stay by their selves?" asked Misty.

"No WAY don't you remember what happened with Lightning Streak?" asked Silver as they all grumbled something under their breathes.

"We're still on about that?" mumbled Lightning.

"Won't stop bugging you." giggled Fleetfoot.

"Wait we're gonna see a show?" asked Storm.

"Storm shut up else I'll annoy you." replied Rainbow quickly as Storm sighed and made motions to zip her mouth shut.

"What? Your using that book?" snickered Blaze.

"Mhmm..."

"Squad 2, meet me in the battle field." smirked Rainbow.

"Uhh? Why?" asked Rapid.

"Just go with it, she probably wants to just go over the rules with you, Blaze and Surprise." snickered Fleetfoot.

"Exactly right! Fire your gonna take the cadets out to captain one." smirked Rainbow.

"Rainbow, just call me Spitfire." sighed Spitfire.

"Ok first commander!"

"Uhhhh Dash your like the second commander, you can address Spitty whatever way you want!" snickered Blaze.

"And that DOES NOT count for SISTERS!" shouted Spitfire.

"All up and ready ma'dam!" smirked Surprise, beside her with all the cadets in uniform looking tired.

"That's what you idiots get for listening to Silver Lining's orders!" smirked Rainbow walking out.

"Is that meant to offend me?" grunted Silver.

"I dunno! Maybe you shouldn't have told them they could go to sleep at 12!" shouted Spitfire.

"Fire, take them, you 3 idiots come with me." ordered Rainbow pointing at Rapid, Blaze and Surprise.

Rapid sighed and followed her, Surprise grinned and bounced along, whilst Blaze grunted and trudged after them.

"Make sure you add the point that they have to go on WHEN TOLD." added Silver.

"Yea yea planning it in my head." grumbled Rainbow taking off her head set as did the other 3 and tossing it to aside.

-after a few minutes of shouting and arguing-

"You done now?" Asked Spitfire raising an eye brow.

"More than you ever think." grumbled Rainbow under her breathe.

"Actually that was mostly Blaze." giggled Surprise whilst Blaze shot her a glare.

"We're gonna be late for the train if you take ANY LONGER!" Shouted Silver pointing at the clock.

"Jeez commander, calm it." Sighed Lightning.

"We need to get going!" Exclaimed Spitfire running to the station.

"Shes running as fast as she would when shes angry!" Giggled Blaze running after her.

"Uhm should we uhh." asked Soarin pointing to them.

"Just uhm yeah lets." sighed Silver as they flew a good distance behind the two.

-At the Crystal Empire's station-

"The crystal empire?" grumbled Dynamite to Explosion whilst Storm's ears perked up.

"Grr... so you mean we have to show them us as crystal ponies?" mumbled Explosion.

"Pretty much." sighed Dynamite.

"Your crystal ponies?!" asked Hype happily appearing in-between them.

The twins yelped and glared at Hype whilst the cadets looked at them with curiosity.

"Well there's no point hiding it bro." sighed Explosion whilst Dynamite growled something under his breathe.

"I was born in the Empire you know, I live in pony ville and was raised there but I was born here, so technically, I will turn crystal." smiled Storm from in front of them.

"WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME THAT?!" squealed Flaring in her face whilst Storm raised an eyebrow and pushed her to aside.

"You never asked so..."

"Why does like EVERY PONY say that?!" asked Flaring.

"Cause li-"

"Departure! YAY! We're getting off~!" sang Surprise grinning from ear to ear bouncing along the wonderbolts carriages.

"Who put you to this?" growled Blaze grabbing her neck wanting her to stop.

"Spitty!" giggled Surprise some how getting free of her grip and bouncing along to the next one.

"Cadets follow your commander Fire." smirked Rainbow, pushing him in the carriage and flying after Surprise.

Fire raised an eye brow, shrugged it off and led the cadets outside to Spitfire and Soarin.

"I bet you Rainbow, Surprise and Silver will take 3 minutes to get all the team out and standing clear." smirked Spitfire.

"Psh she's gonna come out now, look." smirked Soarin pointing to a door as Rainbow walked out dragging out Rapid and Surprise and the other bolts walking behind her, Silver clutching onto Blaze upside down whilst she whined.

"My squad are idiots." grumbled Rainbow flatly dropping them in front of Spitfire.

"Oh hey First Captain." smirked Rapid bouncing his eye brows and saluting.

"HEY SPITTY!" shouted Surprise, confetti shooting out.

"SIS~ Tell him to LET ME GO!~" whined Blaze still in Silver's grip, upside-down.

"Silver, keep her like that, let's go." ordered Spitfire walking inside the Empire's actual barracks.

Silver smirked and dragged her along, Blaze's jaw dropped and pouted angrily folding her hooves.

When the recruits were inside the empire, Explosion, Dynamite and Storm turned crystal and most of them stared at the twins.

The twins were crystalfied, but completely changed colour from red, orange and yellow to green black and red.

"Uhm are you MEANT to look like that?" Asked Night looking at the twins and Storm for differences.

"Whatever" grumbled Dynamite.

"I don't think so" whispered Storm glancing at them.

"HMMMMMMM Ooh! I wasn't born here! But I turn into a crystal too!" Snickered Slinging turning into ACTUAL crystal right on the spot and began bouncing along with Hype as a tiny piece.

Hype stopped bouncing and glared at him before flying, not even taking in the fact he was a STONE.

"Does any pony even GET that pony?" Asked Ace pointing at Slinging and walking away from him with Whirling behind her.

"I-I don't think so Ace." whimpered Whirling, not wanting to speak in front of other ponies.

"I do!" Shouted Slinging appearing in between Whirling and Ace.

Ace shrieked with horror and Whirling yelped with shyness and fear.

"YOU CRAZY IDIOT!" Shouted Ace pushing him away and trying to wipe off her wings on the floor muttering something about 'colt germs'.

"Is that meant to offend us?" Grumbled Fury.

"Ace? Say sorry." Smiled Whirling whilst Ace sighed.

"I uhm it's just that... Uhhh forget it, YOUR fine... Just UGH sorry." grunted Ace whilst being nudged by Whirling.

Whirling smirked and they carried on walking.

Storm glanced at them both and walked forward so she was in line with them.

"So... Haven't heard about you two, where you from?" Asked Storm.

Whirling looked and her and muffled out her words but Ace cut in for her.

"Whirling is from Cloudsdale, and I'm from Manehatten, we met when Whirling's family moved to Manehatten." smirked Ace.

"Cool! My parents are from Cloudsdale, we visit there every Hearths Warming since family is there and all." smiled Storm.

"Don't you go with them when they perform in cloudsdale?" asked Flaring.

"Well yeah, but I mostly stay in the stadium, and most of the time I can't look around cause Spectra was like 4 at the time..."

"Would've though Commander Rainbow would've been born in pony ville." shrugged Flaring.

"Not really, she grew up in Cloudsdale and when my aunt, Fluttershy, element of kindness, got her cutie mark, she moved down to pony ville and my mum did too."

"You know the element of kindness?" Asked Fury.

Sky rolled his eyes and punched him.

"What do you think? Commander Dash is the element of loyalty and shes Storm's mother, of course they're close!"

"Oh right." smirked Fury.

"AAHHH! Uhh Twi?"

The cadets looked towards Rainbow as Twilight and Pinkie was suddenly in front of her, Pinkie smiling crazily and Twilight with a worried look on her face.

"PINKIE! How are you here?! Oh never mind! Rainbow!" Shouted Twilight making the wonder bolts stop and look at them.

Rainbow's eyes darted around before glaring at her.

"What are you DOING?!" Shout whispered Rainbow.

"OOH! The EVILLL EVILLL Shadow monster-" (this part shes whispering >) "aka King Sombra" "IS COMING BACK TO ATTACK THE EMPIRE, EVERYPONY! Follow my lead! AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!"

They all stared at Pinkie awkwardly, Surprise just attacking her to the ground and hugging her, making her stop screaming.

"Wait what? King Sombra?" Whispered Rainbow only wanting Pinkie and Twilight to hear.

"We just wanted the wonderbolts to get ready for fight and for you to stay near us at all times just in case, we're going to be staying in the empire." whispered Twilight.

"Should I go tell Spitfire?" Whispered Rainbow.

"Yeah, that's wonderful." Smiled Twilight.

Rainbow flew over to Spitfire and told her about the plan.

"THE King Sombra?" Whispered Spitfire making Soarin perk up.

"Wait what?" Asked Soarin.

"Pff stay outta this Sori." smirked Rainbow.

"I'm not 16." grumbled Soarin.

"Yeah, your 5, so go take care of uhm... PINKIE!" Shouted Rainbow pushing him towards Pinkie and Suprise, his eyes widening whilst Rainbow placed him in front of them and flying back to Spitfire.

"What do you think they're talking about?" asked Fury smirking, making Night punch him.

"Dunno, but since Twilight is there, it's something to do with friendship."

"Oh what makes you think that?" snickered Flaring as Storm shrugged.

"Maybe cause shes the princess of friendship?" sighed Storm rolling her eyes.

"... Jeez I was being sarcastic." grumbled Flaring.

"... oh..."

"Storm?" asked Twilight walking up to her.

"Oh hi auntie Twilight." smiled Storm.

"Nice to see you, anyway, have you had dreams of you and your friends?" asked Twilight.

"Hm? Well now that I think about it, I have for the past week... why?" asked Storm.

"The girls have said the same thing... Thanks, that helps alot." nodded Twilight.

"Uhh what's going on in pony ville?" asked Storm just to make sure.

"Oh? Nothing, just thinking." mumbled Twilight walking to Surprise and Pinkie, prying them apart.

(Yeah they were on the floor talking whilst hugging, weird, no, I'M weird)

"OOH! Which~ Friends?~" asked Slinging.

"None of your concern weirdo." grumbled Storm.

"I have~ a name~ you~ know~" slurred Slinging, his eyes drifting apart then going back to normal.

"Oh really? Cause I thought that was your name." growled Flaring.

"Weirdo? Hmm... I don't think so, but I like it!" grinned Slinging, making the others groan and roll their eyes.

Slinging shrugged and skipped his way over to Hype to irritate and annoy her.

"HEY BUSTER! WHATS CUPCAKE ADD CUPCAKE?!" shouted Pinkie in Slinging's face.

Slinging raised an eye brow but grinned in response bringing out a cupcake.

"CUPCAKE!~" he spat his eyes averting in opposite directions.

Pinkie blinked and grinned even more.

"YAY TWO MORE CRAZY PONIES!" cheered Pinkie hugging Slinging and Hype.

"How do you know I'm crazy?" smirked Hype.

"Pinkie sense, you know THAT sense." winked Pinkie as she grinned and nodded.

"Ok, I was wrong... Maybe Hype is crazy." mumbled Flaring as they awkwardly watched the situation before hand.

"No bet." grumbled Storm as Rainbow suddenly pryed the four apart, dragging Pinkie back to Twilight and dumping her on the ground in front of her.

"OOOF! Oh hey Twi!" sang Pinkie happily.

"... I don't know how you got into my spell." groaned Twilight.

"I don't know either!" piped Pinkie.

"Hmmf we gotta go now... we'll be back tomorrow on the train with the girls." nodded Twilight.

"Ok cool!" smiled Rainbow, Pinkie hugging her tightly before nodding to Twilight.

"BYE DASHIE!" Shouted Pinkie as they teleported back, leaving with a massive creepy smile on her face.

"Hnnggg... SURPRISE! STOP PLAYING WITH THE CADETS AND GET BACK HERE!" Shouted Rainbow, Surprise suddenly beside her.

"Yes ma'dam?" Smiled Surprise in her normal tone.

"Feel free to boss Rapidfire and Blaze around, Fire, take the cadets... I gotta talk to the princess." mumbled Rainbow walking to the castle.

"SQUAD ONE REPORTING?" Shouted Spitfire.

"Uhm Spitfire we're in front of you." pointed out Soarin, him, Silver, Fleetfoot and Misty in front of her standing there awkwardly.

"Oh uhh right... anyway I want you guys to go to the stadium managers and tell them we're putting the show on hold, whatever they say, fight back, got it?" asked Spitfire.

"Yes ma'dam!" They replied, shooting off.

"Cadets! Roll call, call out your number, IN ORDER! GO!" shouted Fire, none of them replying.

"Oh right, Fire, we haven't gave them numbers... we kinda forgot." mumbled Surprise.

"Well uhm... Room numbers! Go!"

Cutting off the first cadet, a red lazer shot from somewhere in the caste, going straight up, then seeing 5 more lazers, in purple, blue, pink, orange and magenta.
