Chapters Author's Note
This is my second attempt at writing a story so please go easy on me now ok
My sick day
You ever wake-up one day feeling like shit....well that happened to me and on a work day too. First I get tossed into this world and now I'm sick just great, I'm burning up my nose is running and my throat is really dry.
"OH NO I HAVE WORK!" I said quickly sitting up and coughing. "Shit Applejack I'm sorry, but I'm gonna be missing work today." I say aloud to myself while looking out the window.
Oh hey snow! Cool Rainbow didn't say anything about snow today! Ah probably last minute, but damn I wanna go out there so badly. I say in my head watching the snow fall.
"Haha I give Applejack about 30 minutes until she shows up looking for me. She'll probably have pots and pans again too." I said as I began laughing to myself from the memory of her doing that to me the first week I was here. God did I hate it, but she didn't do those things as much as Rainbow or Pinkie, they love pulling those damn pranks on me. They stopped luckily after they went too far one day and almost killed me...TWICE! Long story short they somehow put a magic spell on my welcome mat that when I stepped on it I was sent flying into the air.
Ahhhh memories. I thought to myself before I was brought back to reality by the sound of knocking.
"That's Applejack." I said as I looked at my phone's clock. "She's early. Wow she probably wants to-." Again I was cut off by louder knocks "IT'S OPEN I'M UPSTAIRS!" I barked out before I remembered that I was as sick as a dog. God I need water.
"Fallout what are ya doin'? We need to get the work done fast today!" Applejack shouted as she began walking to my room when she heard coughing and sniffling. "Oh no don't tell me your sick." She said as she walked into my room.
"Yeah I'm sick sadly. Sorry Applejack I just woke up like this." I said before I coughed loudly "Worst part is it's snowing and I can't go outside." I said frowning while Applejack chuckled. "Yeah, yeah laugh it up." I said annoyed as I sneezed.
"You should probably stay in bed today. Alright no getting up unless you gotta use the bathroom, okay." Applejack said pushing me into the bed.
"Yeah alright. Hey do you mind getting me some water Applejack?" I asked.
"No problem I'll be right back." she happily replied as she left the room. A minute later she returned with a glass and hands....hoofs the glass to me as I quickly drank it to quench my thirst. "Whoa there slow down! The cup isn't gonna run off." Applejack said with a grin.
"What? Oh right sorry it's just my throat is like really dry right now and this damn headache doesn't help either." I said as I rubbed my forehead.
"Oh I'll get you so medicine then, okay?" She replied, but before she can leave I stop her.
"Don't bother I don't have any." I said before I began sneezing a couple times.
How did I even get sick in the first place this is stupid....unless.....Oh right Rainbow Dash dumped a bucket of ice water on me, last night. I don't know how she got it to be so cold though. I'm gonna have to find a way to get her back. I thought to myself as I groaned.
"Oh really yer out? Alright maybe I got some back at the farm. You stay put until I get back." She said as she walked out the door.
I wonder why she's helping me? I mean I know she's an Element and all. Ugh what am I saying! It's Applejack I'm talking about. Of course she's gonna help I'm her best worker.....and her only one......who's not even a pony. I think in my head.
I then began remembering how I got here. I'm still surprised she's even friends with me. Last thing I remember is laying in my bed back on earth, then everything started to shake. At first I thought it was that earthquake we were due for, but suddenly a big ass black hole had other plans. Anyway I fell through and landed in a bath tub full of water. Much to my luck Applejack was currently using said bath tub and flipped out. Let me say from first hand experience the stories everyone tells is true. She can kick HARD. Knocked me right out with one kick. Sadly to my discomfort it wasn't the kick that took me out. No it was the wall I was sent flying into that did. Best way ever to introduce myself. I woke up about an hour later after Applejack kicked me. After that they all questioned me you all know the drill.
I don't know how long I laid there thinking, but I was interrupted by another knock at my door. Upon looking at my phone's clock it's about 11:59. Applejack came at 6 AM, so quite awhile has passed. I better go answer the door. I know Applejack said not to get out of bed, but I don't wanna be rude. My mom raised me better. After quickly getting up I made my way to my door and opened it and my face was suddenly surrounded by pink. The owner of said pink was talking way to fast for me to understand.
"Pinkie get off of my face. I can't breathe and I'm sick." I mumbled out through her hair.
"Applejack told me you were sick, so I came as soon as I heard! I also brought the medicine for your headache." Pinkie said as she hugged me with all four of her legs. "Don't worry nurse Pinkie is here!" she said as she began nuzzling the side of my face.
"Pinkie you're gonna get sick too if you stay around me." I said with worry and disappointment. Disappointment because... well because I really wanted Pinkie to be my nurse; but I'd feel bad if she got sick because of me.
Damn you good side damn you. I thought to myself.
"It's fine Twilight was working on a spell to help, so I said she could test it out on me! So no worries." she said happily as she finally hopped off me and back on the floor.
"Wait so Twilight knows I'm sick?" I asked.
"Yep and so does Rainbow and Fluttershy and Rarity." Pinkie said using her hoof to count off the ponies who know.
Oh no. They all know! Great I was perfectly fine with Applejack and Pinkie. However, Twilight is probably gonna do something like take blood or take my used tissues.
Well can't be helped now I guess. I thought to myself.
"Alright I need to get back to bed so make yourself at home." I said walking back to my room as I heard a steady clip clop. I then turned around only to see Pinkie right behind me. I raised an eyebrow as the pink pony kept her gaze on me. "Pinkie I'm fine okay I'll call if I need anything." I chuckled because her face turned serious.
"I'm gonna take care of you! I love you too much not to be at your side." She said as she stared me down something fierce. I then remembered that we were actually dating.
It happened about a month ago. I was sitting in sugarcube corner like I always do eating a couple cupcakes and talking with her. She then asked if I had a special somepony. I obviously said no. Needless to say she was happy to hear. Then I realized that was an understatement. I asked why she asked and she responded with.
"Well because you're nice and funny. You're also not afraid to act like a kid; and you're always coming here to eat while you have conversations with me and tell me how great my baking is. No pony else does that. I mean my friends do, but there my friends and I really love them. That isn't it though I just really like hanging out with you and I feel funny when you're around." She said while she twirled her mane with her hoof.
After she said that I was a happy man if only my friends from home could be here. I know a few people who would flip out if they knew I was dating Pinkie, but they're not here. I wonder if. I stopped thinking when I realized that I'm laying in bed.
"Hey Pinkie could you get me some water my glass is over there." I asked as she smiled and took the glass and got me more water.
"Here you go honey bun." She said happily. She sure loves calling me pet names I'm used to it although it is embarrassing when she says it in public sometimes.
"Hey what are you thinking about?" Pinkie said poking me.
"Eh nothing really. Just how I got so lucky to be with you is all." I said causing Pinkie to blush a little bit. "And also home." I finished my sentence with a cough.
"Do you miss your home?" Pinkie said as she game me a loving hug.
"Yeah I do. Sadly I mainly miss my mom. I miss her the most. I hope she's doing okay without me." I said looking out the window again. "Don't worry though this is my home now. Remember what Twilight said 'there's no way back for me'. I'm happy here anyways." I said as I smiled.
"As long as you're happy then I'm happy." She began before she was interrupted by her stomach which started to growl. "Also hungry." she said giggling which in turn made me laugh with her. "Hey if you're interested I can make us something to eat?" Pinkie offered.
"Yeah I'm getting hungry anyway."I said rubbing my stomach. "Hey, you know I love you right?"
"I know you do you tell me all the time." She replied with a big smile as she hugged me tightly. "So I'll go make us some soup, okay?" Pinkie said as she bounced out of the room.
Ten minutes have passed since Pinkie went to make soup and during that time Twilight showed up.
"So how are you feeling so far?" She asked while she put a hoof on my forehead. I went to answer, but she stopped me. "Hmmmm you do appear to be running a fever. With the medicine I gave you you'll be better by, tomorrow. Luckily you only got a head cold and a dry throat, I'll just take these used tissues for study." She said as her eyes wandered over to the trash can.
I knew it! I knew she was gonna do that. I thought to myself.
"Twilight what do you need those for?" I asked with an eyebrow raised.
"For science of course! Remember what you said yesterday about us ponies having evolved from humans?" She said while she was clearly happy about something.
"Yeah and also how this might be earth in the future so I might have traveled through time when that black hole popped up." I said as I gave her a half grin.
"Yep, with these tissues I might be able to prove you right, or wrong. This is so exciting! Think of the possibilities if your theory is true!"
"Twilight turn down your happiness just a little, okay? Feel free to do whatever you want." I said as I chuckled.
"No you don't understand. If it's true I might be able to create a spell that will turn you into a pony!" She commented while her eyes shined with glee.
After hearing that I was...shocked,scared and a little happy.
So that's what she's been working on. I thought to myself.
"Whoa whoa whoa you're gonna do what to me?" I said as I started freaking out.
"Come on Joseph you know you want to." She said with a sly smile.
Oh crap, she's using my real name she's really serious about this. I thought to myself.
"Look I know I said I wouldn't mind it, but actually having the opportunity to do it is way different Twilight. Also what did you use my real name for?" I questioned.
"Well I..." Twilight was cut off by the sound of a tomboyish scream and a loud thud.
"Rainbow dash is here I'll let her in." Pinkie shouted up the stairs.
I couldn't help but laugh.
Damn this place never gets old. But I hope Rainbow is ok though. I thought to myself.
"Hey I heard you got sick so I came over to apologize." Rainbow Dash said walking into the room looking quite guilty.
"It's fine Dash. Twilight said I'll be better by tomorrow so no harm done although I do really wanna go play in the snow." I said as I looked out the window.
"Yeah, about time we started winter right? We'll have some fun as soon as you're better big guy." Rainbow said as she patted my back. "Oh I also saw Rarity and Fluttershy headed this way they should be here any minute."
"Cool I wonder if Rarity got my jacket made yet." I mumbled to myself while rubbing my chin.
"I think she did. She had a bag with her." Rainbow Dash said hovering in front of me.
A little more time passes and Fluttershy and Rarity are in my room. Pinkie brought me soup as well....it's not chicken soup, but this will do.
"Fallout I finished your jacket dear!" Rarity said as she used her magic to levitate it over to me. It's the jacket I wanted for a while now,but sense I'm not a pony it was hard to create obviously, but she does great work. It's long to cover me completely just like a trench coat would. It also has a duster look to it as well and it's black, one of my favorite colors.
"Rarity it's amazing as always. What do I owe you?" I said clearly impressed.
"It's free. There's no need to pay darling." she said as she waved a hoof.
She's always doing that. She makes me clothes for free. I'm starting to feel bad because it takes more time and resources to make me clothes. If she keeps it up it's gonna starting costing her. I thought to myself.
"Rarity please let me pay I don't wanna be a moocher, I got the bits!" I begged.
"You a moocher? Please you're never a moocher. You're quite the hard worker, but if you insist it's 150 bits." She said with a sigh of defeat.
"Thank you my bit bag is over there by the door Rarity." I said pointing to the desk by the door.
"Oh fallout I brought you some extra blankets to keep you warm." Fluttershy finally said. She's been standing behind everyone staying silent. It's not because she afraid of me, no it's probably because she doesn't want to be rude and talk first. "Are you feeling better?"
"Thanks Fluttershy these will help and yes I'm getting better. You ponies are lucky having fur and everything." I chuckled as I took the blankets she gave me and laid them on myself.
"Oh that's right you don't have fur like us just the hair on your head. I keep forgetting that." She said with a nervous smile.
"Not for long if I can just get these back to my lab. I might be able to turn Fallout into a pony!" Twilight finally spoke up.
"WHAT!?" The five mares shouted in shock. Twilight then explained her plan and how it will happen while I keep saying 'I don't know.' or 'That's a big ass step to take.' Finally after talking for only Celestia knows how long, I said if she can turn me into a pony I'll only stay that way for a week. For a trial run to see if I wanna stay a pony or not. Honestly I just wanted to rest so I agreed. Everyone but Pinkie left, it was finally quiet and I can finally rest.
"Hey." Pinkie quietly said. "Are you really gonna let Twilight turn you into pony for a week?" She asked.
"Yeah. I guess I'm just a little scared, but I'll get over it. Why do you ask?" I said as I looked at Pinkie. She looked happy and excited from my answer.
"Well it's just you could be any type of pony it's like a big surprise I'm so excited to see what happens!" She said as she began jumping up and down.
"I kinda have a feeling on what I'll look like." I mumble under my breath. Luckily Pinkie didn't hear me because she was to busy with getting into bed with me....and not in that way..but I wish it was in that way though.
"Ready for bed hun?" Pinkie said as she snuggled up to me.
"Yeah Pinkie I am" I replied kissing her forehead which made her giggle a little. Then we drifted off and went to sleep.
THE END FOR NOW!
It's been a day now sense I got sick I'm much better now thanks to the medicine Applejack got for me ,I don't know what's in It, but it worked. It's still snowing so I'm out side right now sitting, on a bench in the park." It's a nice day so far," I say aloud to myself looking around. I've been here since this morning the C.M.C. or Cutie Mark Crusaders wanted to play outside there sister's didn't want to because they were busy, or just lazy so I volunteered. They were very happy to hear that so they grabbed me and dragged me out here where I am now. I must say though, Sweetiebell is getting really good with her magic she can almost pick me up. At that moment something cold hits my face and the sound of three fillys laughing can be heard. Quickly getting up and looking at my three assailants," Oh it's on you three are so dead!" I shouted trying to sound scary but failing because I was smiling and laughing a little.The girls giggled and ran for cover.

"Two hundred twenty seven....two hundred twenty eight....two hundred twenty nine...two hundred and thirty," Jesus, whoever ordered all this better be throwing a party. Somepony in canterlot wanting 230 damn cupcakes can you believe it?"Alright pinkie that's 230 cupcakes ready to go!" I can here the sounds of pots and pans banging together.

Alright guy's sorry this took so long I've just been lazy when it came to writing this,so hopefully you'll enjoy this next chapter.

Mornings: many people, or ponies, love it and others hate it. As for me right now, I absolutely hate it. My head is killing me, I can't remember what I did last night, and the room I'm in reeks of sweat, Apple's for some odd reason, and sugar. "What the hell did I do last night?" I think to myself," and why do my legs and crotch hurt so much?" just then I feel the bed shifting and moving slightly followed by the sounds of two ponies yawning " Ah, looks like I'm not alone, good!"
