Prologue - A Royal Christmas FAILView OnlineThe Christmas CrowdPrologue - A Royal Christmas FAIL"AH! Finally done!", Celestia's maid squealed with delight at managing to clean the Royal throne. Uh, not that throne... that throne. Suddenly, Princess Celestia burst in slamming the door so hard that she knocked over her favorite tanning spray, spilling the liquid all over the newly-cleaned toilet seat. The maid let out a hefty sigh and began cleaning yet again. As she picked up the tanning spray, she noticed the brand. Flim and Flam's probably non-cancerous skin darkening liquid. "Guess we better prepare a Princess Luna throne", she muttered. Celestia squinted threateningly at the maid. Her eyes just screamed 'moon'. "Heh... sorry, Princess...", her maid quivered. "I'll take the next toilet, if you don't mind. I'm not in the mood for a plot tan", Celestia walked off snootily. Celestia prodded out of the toilet. The honest truth was that the only reason she went in was to tan herself. In the Winter, her coat blended in to the snow; so this year she decided to tan herself. But obviously that wouldn't happen. "Might as well finish up planning for this Christmas party", she thought, and then finally beamed at seeing it was almost done. "Brilliant job all of you!", Celestia announced for the whole castle to hear. The chandeliers were adorned with reflective glass snowflakes. An array of foods were displayed across a banquet table. Sparkling water flowed out of a fountain for all the guests to drink, and separate tables were just arranged for special ponies to sit at. Countess Coloratura, Sapphire Shores, Hoity Toity, Daring Do; all are going to be here! But then, how come after an hours wait... nopony was here? Celestia let out a huge sigh. The party started half an hour ago and nopony had come. Celestia quickly caught eye of a maid about to leave the castle. "You there!", she called out. The maid jumped slightly, but turned around. "Yes, Princess?", she bowed. "Get up, get up. Did you issue the invitation to EVERYpony?". "I'm sure of it, Your Highness. We visited every house... twice". "Hmm... ok". As the maid was about to leave, Celestia called out, "WAIT!". "Yes?" "Where are you going?" "..." "And where are all the guards?" "..." "And where is my sister?" "Eurrrrr" "..." As the maid ran as fast as lightning to escape the Princess, she flew out after her. But as she slammed open the doors that were so rudely shut in her face, she noticed bright violent flashing lights in the sky. All coming from a certain... hive. Celestia paced around her Palace for awhile. "How could every pony in Equestria be at Queen Chrysallis party instead of MINE!?". Celestia jumped when a strange cross-eyed pony burst in through the doors with a lamp shade on her head shouting, "WOOO! PARTAY! YAY!", bumping into almost every decoration on the ground, such as the 50 foot Christmas tree. Honestly, I wouldn't have expected her to have survived it falling on- What? OH! I'm not real! I'm not a real person! I'm just a narrator! I'm... I'm a figment of your imagination. Yeah. Anyway. "Excuse me... whoever you are, this is a sophisticated celebration. There is no PARTAYING here!", Celestia scolded. "Oh. This is the boring one. Bye!", the pony then flew off shakily, crashing right into one of the Hive's windows followed by a cheer of "WOOOOOOOO!". Celestia blushed shamefully as she had chased away the only person who wanted to set hoof in her castle. Luckily, her most boring and stern guard was always there to help her. "Why are there so many people over there", whined Celestia. "Fun, Your Highness", he answered. "FUN?", Celestia shouted in an offended manner, "I'M FUN! THIS", she gestured to the decorations, "IS THE VERY ESSENCE OF FUN!". "I'm sorry to tell you this, Your Highness, but the only thing more boring than this party is me". "..." "Sorry, Your Highness" Celestia was devastated. How could somepony even DARE to go to an Evil Queen Christmas party than a kind-hearted, rich and beautiful Queen's party such as her. At least, that's what she thinks. In truth, her subjects actually look up to Twilight Sparkle more than hers. A pony's got a problem? Well, you don't see anyone shouting 'Celestia! Help us!'. Instead, you hear, 'Look! It's Twilight Sparkle!', because, somehow, she's always there to save the day. And this time, Twilight convinced all the ponies she could find to go to Queen Chrysalis' Christmas party because apparently, this is the first party she's actually allowing all of Equestria to go to. Chrysalis always had the best parties, and everypony knew it. Well, Celestia didn't know it. She stayed inside watching Netflix all day until she got a letter from Princess Twilight. Ponies dreaded that they had to attend Celestia's party instead of Chrysalis' most famous, and certainly best, parties ever. Celestia was in distress! She didn't know how to make her parties better than Chrysalis! Nobody knew! Mostly because Chrysalis saved her money to blow at the end of the year. Unlike Celestia, who spent money on dragon eggs to test her (very much failing) students. In all honesty, the bigger waste of money would be the dragon eggs. Celestia scrambled through her belongings for any money that hadn't been spent on dragon eggs or hadn't been saved in Luna's private bank to prevent Celestia's impulsive dragon egg purchasing. None. No money whatsoever. "That's it", Celestia scowled. "You!", she turned to the guard. She took off her crown, necklace, and shoes and flung them at the guard as she strode towards the door. "Put those in my room". "I've got a party to crash". Author's Note HELLO READER. Hi. This is but a prologue to the story that is to come. I hope the idea of it appeals you greatly. I'm gonna be writing the next part to this soon. I'm going to try to get this done either before or by Christmas. This is sort of like a Christmas special story. So I hope you enjoy this and I hope you're not uncomfortable with Celestia acting "out of character". And honestly, if Chrysalis tried, I think she could throw some awesome parties. So just wait to find out just what kind of parties she throws! -frostbitethepegasus
Miss CelenomisshorsemaresomeoneyeahView OnlineThe Christmas CrowdMiss CelenomisshorsemaresomeoneyeahCelestia made her way to the Hive. Loud music blared from inside. A certain DJ pony was blasting beats from a bass cannon. Celestia was sure her ears would be ringing by the time she got home. She made her way to the entrance, only to be stopped by a Changeling guard. "Name please. We're trying to keep Miss Superior White Bottom away from our little kingdom". "MISS SUPERIOR WHITE BOTTOM?", Celestia thought to herself. It was obvious that the guard was talking about her. But... how come he didn't recognize her? Either way, Celestia was not going to let this opportunity go to waste. "I'm Cele- NO. Miss Horsemare... someone... yeah", she said carelessly. The guard blinked in disbelief for awhile, and then checked the guest list. "Ahh! Miss Celenomisshorsemaresomeoneyeah. Glad to see that you could make it this time!", he gestured welcomingly and allowed her to enter. Celestia stared at the guard in shock. She slowly prodded into the Hive, and as she walked into the party hall, she whispered to herself, "I need to find that mare and give her some ribbon... award or something". Many ponies were either headbanging or dancing vigorously. Others were talking loudly, requesting remixes for songs or playing Christmas themed party games. There was a lit up dance floor that ponies such as Pinkie Pie, Cheerilee, and even Twilight Sparkle were dancing on. And there, at the far corner of the hall was Princess Luna, chatting up a certain Dr. Hooves Celestia was furious. Her own sister attended a rival kingdoms Christmas party, just to flirt with some guy she didn't even know? "LUNA!", Celestia shouted from afar. Immediately, Luna's cheeks turned bright pink as she excused herself from the table. "Sister! Hugs hugs!", Luna screeched. "What the- Luna are you okay?" "I'm fine, I'm fine... BUT... The REAL question is... are you fine?" "Luna, go back to the castle" "Okay, I am a STRONG... INDEPENDANT WOMAN. I don't need you, going around telling me what to do!" "Luna have you been drinking?" Luna's eyes grew wide, "Is that what I sound like? I... I was just having fun!". Celestia huffed with annoyance. "I'm just here to... investigate. Anypony I can talk to about this?". "It depends. What are you trying to investigate". Celestia paced her hooves uncomfortably, "I... wanna know how to throw better Christmas parties". One would expect Luna to laugh at this point, but her sister truly was pathetic at throwing Christmas parties. Instead, Luna sighed and said, "Go talk to Vinyl Scratch. She can either give you some advice or take you to some people that have good advice. Maybe you'll even get to talk to Chrysalis herself. Now if you'll excuse me, I've got a stallion to talk to". Celestia's expression was the same one Luna gave her. No matter how pathetic Celestia was at Christmas party hosting, Luna was, and always will be, more pathetic than anypony at relationships. Every hoof closer to the DJ pony was an all-the-more feeling the bass cannon was going to blow her away. Just as she was about to say something to Vinyl, the music got exceptionally softer as Queen Chrysalis, riding on a sleigh-shaped float, burst into the room screaming, "HELLO MY PARTY PONIES!!". Followed by the screams of various fans of hers. Which was everypony. "SO HOW IS EVERYONE ENJOYING THE PARTY SO FAR?", she boomed into her wireless mic. As many ponies responded with , "AWESOME!" or "WOOHOO!" or "CHRYSALIS IS BEST PONY!". Celestia, of course, was overcome with jealousy. "HAHA! AMAZING!", Chrysalis continued, "So, I hope you've all enjoyed the dancing and the music, THANK YOU SO MUCH VINYL!". And the crowd goes, "YEAH! WOOOOOO!". "Alright, alright! Now it's time for some, ENTERTAINMENT!" As the words escaped Chrysalis mouth, Discord poofed into the room, creating chocolate-raining-cotton-candy-cloud hotspots, an array of crazily shaped party snacks (not to mention a life sized nachos and cheese sculpture of Queen Chrysalis), mega slides and glowstick stands, bouncy houses and laser light shows, and a dart board in the shape of, you probably didn't guess it but I don't know cause I'm just a narrator, Celestia's face. Celestia's mouth went agape noticing the dart board, she was on the verge of blasting Chrysalis with her horn before she continued. "NOW, NOW DISCORD! Let's not get ahead of ourselves! Now fam. The anti-Celestia themed stuff will NOT be ending now! The next activity will be singing the "Death to Celestia" Christmas carol as we burn down the life sized, wooden model of her in the back garden! Then, we'll dance on the ashes and exalt the rock-solid, fireproof statue... OF ME!!!" This time, Celestia's eyes were as big as her gaping-wide mouth. Especially as she noticed every single one of her subjects cheering. Her loyal student Twilight. Her sister, Luna. Even the Cutie Mark Crusaders! Spike of course wasn't cheering... mostly because he was passed out under an unlimited ice-cream machine. Chrysalis continued, "Obviously, the party doesn't stop there! So have a great time! The burning of the Celestia model will occur in about 2 hours. SO BE THERE!". The sleigh float slowly began to back up as Chrysalis grabbed a drink from a bartender's platter and left. The music became gradually louder until it was finally at full blast again. Celestia stomped over angrily to Vinyl. This time ignoring the fact that the music probably killed her eardrums. "VINYL!" "GET READY FOR THE BASS DROP EVERYPONY!" "VINYL!" "READY?" "VINYL!!!!" "BASS!" There was no use. The DJ pony was too immersed in her work. The loud booms of the "bass" wasn't helping either. But Celestia didn't give up. Instead... BANG One swift blow to the jaw and the DJ ponies glasses flew right off. Along with a tooth or two. The music continued as the poor mare slowly regained composure. But instead of taking notice of Celestia, she licked her bleeding muzzle and went back to DJing. "URRRRRGGGGAAAAAAAH! LISTEN TO ME!" "WHAT DO YA WANT CELENOMISSHORSEMARESOMEONEYEAH" "WHO IN TARTARUS IS... I MEAN YEAH! COULD YOU HELP ME OUT PLEASE?" "WHAT? AND MAKE IT QUICK, I'VE GOT SOME MUSIC TO MAKE." "YEAH, THAT'S GREAT AND ALL, BUT I HIGHLY DOUBT IT'S MORE IMPORTANT THAN THIS". "THEN HURRY!" "I NEED YOU TO HELP ME FIND QUEEN CHRYSALIS" "IN WHAT ERA ARE YOU LIVING IN, YOU STUPID ALICORN! NOPONY, AND I MEAN NOPONY, CAN GET ACCESS TO QUEEN CHRYSALIS IN ANY WAY, UNLESS SHE REQUESTS IT. ALSO, I KNOW IT'S YOU, CELESTIA". "THEN HEED MY ORDERS AND TURN THE MUSIC DOWN!" "Ugh. FINE....." "You knew I wasn't Celenomis... whatever?" "DUH! That's why I called you stupid alicorn instead of stupid pegasus, ya dingdong". Celestia felt slightly offended. But that was beside the point. She was determined to find Queen Chrysalis, and quick. "Oh, and also, I lied about nopony having access to Queen Chrysalis. I can talk to her fairly easily. She's one of my friends on Marebook". Celestia frowned. This pony was going to lead her to Chrysalis? Out of all the ponies at the party, this one? But beggars can't be choosers, and right now, she's the beggar, despite the trillions of bits she actually owns. "Come on. Chrysalis usually hangs out with a select few during parties in her own special party room made for five. I requested her to let Tavi party with her, but that's basically the only pony I know that's there. Let's go". This was it! Finally, Celestia was going to learn the secrets of the best party ever. From her mortal enemy... .....with a strange earth pony. Author's Note So yep! This is Chapter one of the story. I hope it's enjoyable and whacky so far. I don't think it's one of the weirdest stories out there, but I'll agree, it is weird. I honestly have nothing else to say. Enjoy? ... peace. -frostbitethepegasus
It's All in Good FunView OnlineThe Christmas CrowdIt's All in Good FunVinyl Scratch began leading Celestia down a winding hallway that supposedly led to the roof of the Hive, but she was really not sure because there were many other hallways that branched out just from this one. As they got further from the party room, the music became softer and the sound of their echoing hooves got louder. The walls of the hall were adorned with party posters of Chrysalis. One was even a picture of Celestia asleep, drool streaming out of her mouth with the caption Chrysalis rules, Celestia drools! Taking no notice of the poster, Celestia held her muzzle high and walked as regally as possible so as to show the DJ pony that she was the superior pony. "Wh-... What are you? Are you trying to sniff the ceiling?" Celestia shrugged, "Ugh, nevermind". After an hour or so of walking in silence, Vinyl suddenly spoke up. "I'm gonna be honest with you, I have no idea where you're taking me". Celestia looked at Vinyl with fury in her eyes. "Where I'M taking YOU? You're supposed to be taking me to Chrysalis!" "Oh", Vinyl said innocently, "Well then, follow me". She began walking back in the opposite direction. "Urgh, I need some tea". During the journey to Chrysalis' private party room, Celestia got to know Vinyl more. It didn't improve her opinions on her, though. "Is Chrysalis serving alcohol at this party? I mean, I'm fine with that, I'm just asking". "Yep. All the time". "And you don't drink any? I thought you were one for a little spiked drinks?" "I drank LOTS heh. Apparently, it's one of the Christmas Crowd members own recipe. But I have AMAZING alcohol tolerance so..." "Christmas crowd?" "What? You haven't heard of the Christmas crowd?" "... no?" Vinyl facehooved... and then immediately burst out in laughter. She stopped walking and sat down, holding her sides as if her ribs were going to break. "Come on! Their even more well know than YOU! Haha!" Celestia was wide-eyed. She thought all of Equestria knew who she was. And yet there was this "Christmas Crowd" who seem to be more famous than her? The Princess? "Just...", Celestia groaned in annoyance, "Who are they already". Vinyl took short breaths and slowly stopped laughing. She wiped the tears from her eyes and said, "Ohhh... that's right, you've never been invited to one of Chrysalis parties. Well, you see, the Christmas crowd is a group of people who are awesome at throwing Christmas parties, which should reveal that obviously you're not in it. So the leader of this whole group is Queen Chrysalis of course, and under her are nine other ponies that can really add an awesome kick to her already awesome Christmas parties". Celestia looked at Vinyl offended, stick fixated on the snarky comment she made about Celestia not being in the Christmas Crowd because she was bad at parties. Brushing that aside, she asked, "Who exactly is in this 'Christmas Crowd'?". "Okay, so there's me, I'm the DJ. Then there's Countess Coloratura, she's registered under music. So is Sonata, the siren. Her friends didn't want to join so, not them. That's how many no? That's.. one, two.. that's three. Oh of course Discord, registered under entertainment, four. Rarity too-" "Rarity? RARITY?", Celestia bellowed. "Stop interrupting me, jeez. Me, Countess, Sonata, Discord, Rarity, who is registered under fashion and costumes. Derpy is in charge of invitations. She designs the letters, and hey, she's damn good at that, and then she delivers em'. Okay, that's six. Man! How could I have forgot this one! Pinkie! She's in charge of decorations and catering. So is Applejack, but she's not in the Crowd. Spitfire is in charge of entertainment. Not the rest of the Wonderbolts though. BUT... Rainbow Dash, who is also part of the crowd under entertainment, performs alongside Spitfire, and also does a Sonic Rainboom once in a while". Suddenly a gust of wind blows through the hall. Celestia's mane is frizzled and becomes stiff and fluffy instead of flowing in the never-present wind. "Yeah that must be it", Vinyl laughs as she looks around the hall. When she catches eye of Celestia, she bursts out into laughter. "Yeah, yeah, laugh your heart out". "Poke, poke!", Vinyl laughs as she jabs at the hair. "Can we just find Chrysalis already?" Vinyl gasps as she notices several ponies making their ways to the garden, "They're gonna burn down the Celestia statue! Come on let's goooooooo...... oh... heh". Celestia looks at Vinyl angrily, but takes in a deep breathe and finally says, "Will Chrysalis be there?". "Yeah! Definitely. She wouldn't miss something this awesome. Guaranteed". With that response, the two ponies then make their way to the garden. The garden was beautiful. Perhaps even more beautiful than Celestia's, which only served to making her even more jealous. There were far more fauna than her gardens, which Fluttershy obsessed over more than what was expected. And this time, the animals actually DID love her. Chrysalis who was on a balcony, began announcing the burning of the wooden model. "Hello everybody! Tonight, we burn down this wooden model to signify the end of Princess Celestia and her tyranny against Equestria! She is a cruel Queen isn't she, my party ponies?" The crowd resounded with woo's and cheers. Spike, who was not passed out this time, was cheering even louder than expected. Celestia suspected it was because he was forced to burp out letters for Twilight all the time, but who knew? "Yes! Yes, she is! She forced, my whole kingdom into poverty! But I'm so lucky to have all of you! You've helped me through thick and thin by providing love for me!" Despite that, the crowd still cheered as though their gracious act had been acknowledged. "Now! Stand back everybody... " BANG! The statue was ignited by the power of Chrysalis' horn. Ponies danced around the fire, roasted marshmallows and began singing the "Death to Celestia" carol. "Now everypony and everychangeling. Remember that all of this is in good fun! We don't actually want to hurt Celestia, alright?" Celestia was shocked that the Changeling Queen actually said that. All this seemed fairly hurtful to her. The sudden realization that her subjects hate her. Discovering that she had truly put a whole kingdom to a death sentence by starvation. She wasn't really the lovable, kind-hearted Princess she thought she was. And despite all this, Chrysalis still didn't want to actually, physically hurt her? What?! The crowd responded in agreement and a bunch of head nodding. "Good!" Chrysalis continued, "This is just to vent out our anger against her in secret, so that nopony and nochangeling gets hurt! Oh! Looks like the statue is already half down! Time to exalt the stone statue of me!", again, with her powerful magic, powered by the ponies love for her, she raised the stone statue of herself as several ponies dashed over to hug it. "I need to talk to Chrysalis. I want to know how to throw awesome parties", a pop of magic came from her horn which settled her hair back to it's normal flowing state. "Well, then fly on over there and tell her!", Vinyl said persuasively. "If I do, all the ponies and Changelings here will notice... How bout' this. I'll use my magic to fly you on over there and you tell her that somepony wants to talk to her in her private party room. Don't tell her who it is. Say somepony". "Somepony" "No, I mean- just get over there". Celestia picked Vinyl up with her magic and shoved her over to the balcony right in front of Chrysalis face. "Mah main DJ! Vinyl! You can fly now?" "Yes. Yes, I can" Chrysalis placed a hoof under her chin and a pressed her ear down with the other hoof. And Vinyl did the same. It appeared to be some kind of Christmas Crowd gang sign. "Anyway, Chrysalis. Somepony who's name I will not mention but is actually Princess Celestia posing as Miss Celenomisshorsemaresomeoneyeah wants to speak to you in your private party room". Celestia facehooved as Chrysalis eyes stared wide at Vinyl. "She... knows about the bonfire?" "Yes" "And the dart board?" "Yes" "And the... afterparty?" "OH! HEHEHEH! Nope!" "Thank the sweet angel ponies on high! Alright, show her the way to the party room" "Umm, Chrysalis?" "Yeah?" "I'm Vinyl Scratch, I don't remember the way to anywhere". "Right. Here's a map of the castle. Just go... here", Chrysalis circled an area underground, probably the basement, with a red pen on her room desk, which was right inside. "Kay. Thanks". "No prob, DJ Pon3" Celestia slowly lowered Vinyl onto the ground. "You didn't know where the private party room was all along? YOU LIED TO ME!". "Hey! I knew! I just don't know right now!" Celestia groaned even louder than all the times she had groaned today. "Show me the damn map!". She quickly snatched the map from Vinyl and looked at it intently before screaming, "IT'S UNDERGROUND!". "Errr.. yeah? So what?", Vinyl asked. Celestia screamed once more, "Where in Tartarus were you taking me you stupid... blerrrrgh. ARGH! Ugh..." "Can we just get on with this. Once the bonfire is over and everyone's had their fair share of fun EXCEPT ME, I'd like to get back to DJing. "URRRRRRRRRRRGHHHH..... let's go" The two ponies began took large hoofsteps as they walked down winding basement stairs, lit up by torches mounted on the wall. But as they came closer and closer to the bottom stairs, the mounted torches were replaced by fairy lights. Celestia put her hoof on the cold metal door at the end of the hallway. "Here we go", she whispered to Vinyl. "I've been in here before" "I know I just wanted to add... like... a dramatic touch to- forget it" She pushed open the door. Inside, the walls were adorned by even more fairy lights, Christmas wallpaper, and the head of a plastic, red-nosed reindeer. A whole shelf took up an array of CD's of different music genres. A large stereo sat on the shelf itself. Two beanbags were beside the shelf and the wall to the left of the shelf WAS a TV. THE WALL WAS A TV. Wine glasses filled with Champagne were arranged neatly on a small snacks table along with nachos, cheese, guacamole dip, a roasted turkey, and a cornucopia (you watch too much hunger games if you thought it was that Cornucopia). Next to the table was a huge Christmas tree. The star atop the tree just barely poked the ceiling. The tree was beautifully decorated. Even with some traditional Changeling decorations. An ice-cream and slushy machine stood on the other side of the table, and a five-people-sized jacuzzi was in the center of the room. It was a big room. Celestia walked in to find Chrysalis on a beanbag, Rarity at the snacks table, Discord and Octavia in the jacuzzi, and Countess Coloratura singing at the karaoke stage. Oh, did I mention there was a karaoke stage as well? Celestia was dumbstruck. What was all this?! A teeny private party with only five people, and yet so extravagant. She knew she was in for something now... "WOOO PARTY!!!" "Vinyl..." Author's Note Yeah, so I wrote this. Chrysalis is awesome at throwing parties haha. Anyways, enjoy another strange chapter. -frostbitethepegasus
The Stinging TruthView OnlineThe Christmas CrowdThe Stinging TruthCelestia walked after Vinyl who sploshed into the jacuzzi. Discord and Vinyl started having short banter as Octavia laughed at the inside jokes that Celestia didn't get. Celestia ignored Vinyl. She was already where she wanted to be. She didn't need the stupid earth pony anymore. She strode regally over to Chrysalis who snickered as Celestia approached her. "So? What do you want?", Chrysalis asked her politely, but also in a child-like manner. "Can we just have a serious talk here? Right now, please? With no video games or beanbags or anything?" "Serious? Christmas doesn't do serious, Celestia! Only you do!" Celestia narrowed her eyes, as if forcing the Queen to speak to her in a royal meeting fashion. "Fine". The snacks were cleared off the table. And by cleared, I mean Vinyl ate them all. The plates were taken by the Highness' servants to be washed after the party. Everyone in the room was now sitting at the table with Celestia. Except Coloratura who needed to leave early for Manehatten. "Let's get this over with, Celestia...", Chrysalis shrugged as she hoisted herself up a seat groggily. "Alright", Celestia agreed, "Explain everything. Explain how you turned my subjects against me. Explain how my prized pupil seems to dislike me. And explain how you got my sister to muster up the courage to talk to a stallion! This must be the use of some sort of Dark Magic, and I can put you under arrest for such an atrocious thing!" "You're so Jelly, Celly", Chrysalis giggled. "I am not Jell- jealous! I'm doing my duty as the Queen of Equestria!" "Celestia. The only Queen here is me. You're just a princess. You'll never be Queen like me. No, I'm being honest. Why in Tartarus are you being called a Princess? That's like... It's not correct, though..." "I know that already, ok? If you're using dark magic, just tell me. I know you want to be loved, and even though you can never ever be loved, you still want to. Dark magic is not the way to go about this. I can teach you. Join me. I'll take you under my wing. The Magic of Friendship is still in you. I can feel it..." Chrysalis looked at Celestia wide-eyed and confused for awhile before bursting out in laughter and absolute hilarity, "OOOOO Chrysalis I can feel it! The MAGIC of FRIENDSHIP is still in you! BWAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAAAAA!". Celestia's face turned bright red as she watched Chrysalis laugh... and laugh... and laugh... and...laugh. "OH GOSH! OH! I bet I broke, like, five ribs! OH GOSH! I'm crying!" "OH STOP IT, WILL YOU!", Celestia shouted, "Just tell me how to throw Christmas parties as good as you!" Chrysalis immediately stopped laughing and regained her composure. "This is just pitiful", Chrysalis said blatantly, "You're so bad at hosting Christmas parties that Luna's flirting is better than your hosting!" Celestia nearly cried at such a snarky, malicious comment. "Nonetheless, nonetheless", Chrysalis continues, "I will help you become great at party-hosting!" Chrysalis gave a long hard thought. She whispered to Discord, Octavia and Vinyl as if coming up with the perfect party-hosting guide for Celestia's use. Finally, the group turned their heads back to Celestia. All with serious looks on their face, except Discord who had a huge smile which forced his lower eyelids to move upwards slightly. "Okay Tia. The only way for someone as noobish as you to throw a good party is to cast a Party Animal-" *Snort* "Discord, shut up. As I was saying, you need to cast a Party Animal spell. The only way to do so is to crack an-" *Squeal* *Snort* "-egg... And mix it with dragon saliva. You can get that from Spike, I guess-" *Snort, snort, snort* *Hiccup* "Discord. What the Tartarus, man. Shut up. Ugh, Mix the egg with the dragon saliva and Everfree tree sap... Okay. And dump it all over your head" *Snort* *Chuckle* Celestia looked at the crew for a while until she finally mustered up the courage to speak, "Okay..." "HAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAA!" Chrysalis looked to Discord, irritated, she screamed, "ARGH! Discord! You spoiled it! Now she's not gonna do it!" "I'M SORRY! I CAN'T STOP! THE FACT SHE....SHE ACTUALLY... AGREED!!!!" Celestia looked at the group offended. "ENOUGH!". She slammed her hoof on the table until Discord stopped laughing and looked at the Queen, partially in confusion, and partially in fear. "I'm sick and tired of you guys treating this matter lightly! I'm the Queen of Equestria! I'm supposed to throw better parties than you! You're just... just another Changeling! You're awful and heartless! Look how you've humiliated me!!!1!!one" Chrysalis looked at Celestia. Cheeks red, and tears in her eyes. "Heartless... awful... cruel... evil... I've been called that enough!" Chrysalis stood up to the, now also standing, Celestia. "I'm not heartless! I'm not Awful! I'M NOT EVIL! YOU ARE! You starved my kingdom when all we wanted was love! You know all too well that you have enough love the power all of Equestria! You steal kingdoms from people to fulfill your own selfish needs of ruling over the entire world! Why is it that you have to be great at everything! I've got something for myself, and I intend to keep it that way! PARTYING IS MINE! MINE! Just face the fact that you'll never host a party as great as-" "TELL ME HOW TO PARTY OR I WILL BANISH YOU TO THE MOON FOR ETERNITY!" The other guests looked at the two Royal mares, who were now standing on the table, looking at each other as if they were going to slit each others throats. "Now, now..l-l-ladies... Let's not fight over such a problem." "FOR THE SAKE OF ALL THAT IS GOOD, SHUT UP DISCORD!", Celestia screamed. Discord traced his finger over his lip, creating a zip with prevented him from speaking. "You want to know the real reason people don't show up to your parties?", Chrysalis asked. Celestia could detect the negativity in her voice alone. She flinched slightly, but nodded her head. "Because of you". Celestia opened her eyes and looked at Chrysalis. Tears rested in her greenish eyes. Her mane was frizzled. And her ears were upright, as if she were about to lunge at Celestia. Celestia on the other hand, was a mess. Tears streamed like waterfalls from her face, her hooves quivered with anxiety and embarrassment. "You don't have boring parties, Celestia. You have a boring you. You may be the Queen of all Equestria, but you're also the most boring mare in all of Equestria. You're also the meanest. The harshest. The laziest. Don't you see, now? Why everyone hates you? They hate you for being you! And it just so happens that they love me for being me. You've got some issues, Princess. Some real, heavy, issues. And you need to stop living in your own world where you're loved by everyone. Because you're not. And as for your parties, you seem to seep your personality into the atmosphere, which is actually how parties work. You express yourself through the art and fun...ness... of your parties. That's why we, the Christmas Crowd, are well-advised in partying. We have flourishing, interesting personalities. You are indifferent from every other prissy Princess out there. And yet somehow, you're worse..." Celestia climbed off the table and sat soundly in her seat. She looked down and realized that most of what Chrysalis said was true. She looked to Vinyl who, instead of being rowdy and energy-filled, was now looking at her reflection in the glass table, feeling some sort of guilt for bringing Celestia to meet Chrysalis.
