Over The Moon

Princess Luna sighed, trying to answer her question in a way that made sense.She seemed to forget who she was talking to "Miss Pie, I..............."

"You don´t have to call me Miss Pie, you know.We´re friends, not strangers"

She raised an eyebrow "We´re friends?"

"Yeah, we´re friends! After all we went through." She blushed "If you´re okay with it that is............"

"JUST FRIENDS"

"Oki dokie lokie ardi chockie!! Just friends!!............For now!!" Pinkie Pie giggled like a school filly.

She sighed one again "Pinkie, I´m sorry"

"Awww, what did you do now?"

The princess was taken aback by this response.She had expected the mare to ask what she was sorry about but............................."Whatever do you mean?"

"I'm sorry to say this Luna, but everytime you get emotional, something bad happens and that's a Veeeerrrrrrrryyyyy long face you got there. Pretty, but long. Don't worry, you can trust your auntie Pinkie Pie with this. What is it?"

"Again, I'm older than you by hundreds of years." She coughed. "I mean it, like... you shouldn't even bother with me. Wake up. I'm not worthy. I'm not lovable."

"Is this about the Nightmare Moon thing? Or the Tantabus thing? I thought we discussed this. We forgive you Luna. We love you! I love... "

And with that, Luna started crying and started with a shaky voice "No, this isn't about that. Celestia sent me to a psychologist and I'm fine. It's just... a healthy life doesn't mean self-love and... PLEASE! Don't finish that sentence"

"What sentence? I love you?"

"You shouldn´t."

"Oooh, so that's what this is all about!" She snorted. "I didn't mean to pressure you like that Luna, you know it happens to everypony at some point! Besides, if somepony needs love and support, its you." She hugged Luna. The princess was surprised by this, as she hadn't been hugged in a long time and never by a "commoner". She found herself really liking the hug and took Pinkie's words seriously for the first time since Twilight Sparkle had introduced them. After a moment, her shock subsided and she hugged back with a smile.

"Thanks you, Pinkie Pie. I'm still sorry though."

"You know what always makes me feel better?"

"Let me guess......"

"A party?/!" They both said at the same time, Luna in a dry tone and Pinkie happily exclaming it.

"Hehe, I just don´t feel like getting a sugar high right now, Pinkie P...."

"This party won´t be planned by me, silly!!"

"I would rather appreciate it if you didn´t call............"

"COME ON! To the Party Hall!!" She pointed at a general direction, determination all over her.Then, she grabbed the princess´  hoof and started running, taking Luna with her.

The princess of the night groaned."Well, I don´t seem to have a choice or anything better to do so...............SURE! Why oh why not?"

The Party Hall was a gigantic building some-what resembling that place where Sapphire Shores had her concert not so long ago.It even had a guard just like Sapphire´s.Luna looked around the building but it seemed like it didn´t have its name written anywhere. How do they difference this stuff from each other? Young ones.

As they got closer and closer to the building, music filled her ears. It was beautiful but she could seriously talk to whoever was playing it about a serious excess in the volume, she could barely hear Pinkie Pie as she talked.Not that she would listen anyways.She was startled and forced to spread her wings and fly the moment the ground started moving.

"WHAT?!"

"Something wrong?" The earth pony raised an eyebrow.

"It's an earth-quake. Canterlot isn't supposed to have earth-quakes. The unicorn magic protecting... "

"No,silly, this isn´t an earth-quake.Ponies here are just a LITTLE CRAZY!!" She happily threw her whooves in the air and giggled. "I should´ve known you´d be scared.Maybe this isn´t your type of part......................"

"NO!!! I mean............I´ve enjoyed modern celebrations before.Like Nigthmare Night and my dear niece´s wedding.And I may be confused but believe me, as Princess of the Night, I am inmune to chills and petty frights."

Pinkie giggled and blushed. "Hey, that rhymes!"

Luna blushed back. "I guess it does."

Pinkie jumped and got a little too close to the guard at the door but he was un-faced. "Pinkamena Diane Pie.I just HAVE to be on the list."

The stallion read the scroll he had on his whooves and shook his head.

"Oki dokie! How about Pinkie Pie?"

She was met by the same response.Luna noticed her friend starting to look a bit dissapointed.On one hoof, there stood her chance to leave and go home, maybe get something to eat; on the other hoof, she was curious as to what was inside that building and what about it made Pinkie Pie so happy.Thought, she was pretty sure that mare found the possitive side of just about everything.She chose to be the cat.

"Excuse me, good sir, Princess Luna of Canterlot. Am I on the list?" She smirked. There was no way she wasn´t in this List that appeared to be so important.

The stallion was shocked the moment he saw her but; after a moment of consideration, he just vowed his head, opened the door for them and whispered. "Enjoy your night, your highness,"

"You too.Thank you." She turned to Pinkie Pie, who was thrilled.Shouting and jumping like a mad pony, which she was.Luna couldn´t help but chuckle at the sight.

"Good job, Lulu!! He was total potty in your horseshoe!! Remind me to bring you here more often!!"

"That´s a strange expression if I´ve ever heard one."

The princess of the night looked around her. Apparently, it was a big black empty hallway leading to a room filled with mayhem and light. Once they got to the light, Luna couldn't believe her eyes. It was similar to Cadence's wedding yet, different. Much more scandalous. It seemed to be pure chaos non-stop.

"Come on everypony!!" She heard a mare´s voice coming from the stage.Luna could see she was the one controling the music. "Party all night, sleep all day!! It´s our way........!!"

"PARTY HALL!" Every single pony around her, Pinkie included, shouted. Luna was amazed. Was she really seeing this? Did ponies really love her night THAT much now?! She looked around the room, there wasnt a single bat bony. 'Is this some kind of new breed of ponies?'

"Pinkie Pie, Are they nocturnal?"

The pink mare nodded."Not by birth, but by choice.Ready to join them, princess?"

Her smile could brighten an entire dark cave, "I guess I am."

"YAAAY!" Taking the princess by her hoof once again, Pinkie dashed to the dance floor.

After a while of dancing together (i.e. she had no idea how long she´d been there) Luna felt she was getting the hoof of this strange place. She liked it.Suddenly, Pinkie Pie gestured her to come a little closer and whispered into her ear:

"Follow me."

The princess was puzzled but she made sure the mare wasn´t getting any stupid ideas.She gided her towards the table where the mare from before was playing the music.Pinkie gestured the mare towards the microphone.

"May I?"

The mare shrugged. "Sure."

"GOOOoooOOOoood evening, everypony!! Having fun?"

The crowd cheered.

"Guess who came here to party with us today!! Her highness, PRRRRRIncess Luna!!"

Luna blushed as she was given the microphone.Her blush intensified as Pinkie whispered in her ear once again. "Say something cool."

"Um................The night shall last FOREVER?!"

This time, the crowd didn't just cheer. They went wild, insane even. "LUNA! LUNA! LUNA! LUNA!" They loudly chanted.

She was shocked. Was this seriously happening? This was exactly what she wanted when she decided to spend Nightmare Night in Ponyville.Those ponies were like nothing she´d seen before.And, in the center of it all was Pinkie Pie, cheering louder than anypony else.For a moment, she almost felt guilty but she couldn´t stop.This was too much.

"Luna? You´re crying?" The pink pony raised an eyebrow, worried.

Luna didn´t know what came over her afterwards but she suddenly felt like hugging Pinkie and she did. "Thank you."
