PoV: Steel Breaker (The Lone Wanderer)

Location: Megaton, Springvale, Capital Wasteland
Time: 1:00 P.M

After leaving the two fillies at the clinic and talking with Sheriff, I started studying the bomb in the center of town.

"You best not be touching that." I heard Simms say behind me.

"I can disarm it, for two hundred caps that is." I said turning to look at him. I saw the look of surprise he had when I said I could disarm it.

"Alright but you get your pay afterwards." He said as i turned to look back at the bomb. I looked around for a panel but remembered that this is a communist bomb, so I kicked the bomb as hard as I could, earning a shout from Sheriff but I ignored him as I looked at my Pip-boy and saw the message that said 'Bomb Disarmed'.

"Done." I said as took a step back. Simms looked at the bomb, then at me, then back to the bomb and back to me, fortunately I'm not the bomb, that would've been weird.

"How did you-" I held a hand up to stop him from asking.

"I really don't want to try to explain how I did that." I said to him, gaining a nod from him as he took out a bag of two hundred caps and gave it to me.

"Hell, I'll even give the house up on the hill as a gift." He said, throwing me a key.

I put away the bag and key, then went back to the clinic to check on them. Once their, I saw that the both of them are finally awake.

"You're awake good." I said, gaining their attention.

"Who're you?" The older one asked as she got into a defensive position.

"The stallion who saved you from being carried away by the sand storm and brought you two here." I said, crossing my arms as I looked at them.

"You're the one the doctor was talking about?" The younger one asked me.

"Yeah, I paid him with all my caps to help you two. Just don't make me regret it." I said to them.

"So, what were two young fillies doing out in the wastes?" I asked them. They both looked at each other and the younger one motioned for her sister to explain.

"We're looking for our father. He left the Vault without telling us why and caused everypony in the Vault to riot. We barely made it out before they caught us." The older one said.

"Have you seen our Dad? Or know where he might be?" The younger one asked. I put a finger to my chin in deep thought and snapped my finger as I remembered the prick in the bar.

"No but there's a griffin named Moriarty, he owns the saloon here. I'll take ya to him." I said to them. They both got up and walked out the door behind me.

I guided them to Moriarty's and went in. Once inside, I took notice of a pony Ghoul smacking a radio while repeating the words 'Work, piece of shit.'

"I heard Three dog mention that the Super Mutants shot down the antenna while I was in Canterlot." I said, gaining his attention. The Ghoul sighed as he stopped hitting the radio and stood in front of me behind the counter.

"What can I get you?" He asked with fear in his voice.

"I don't need a drink, I came here for info." I said to him, he gave me a surprise look.

"Wait... you're not going to hit me? Yell at me? Not even berate me a little bit?" He asked me as the two fillies were waiting behind me.

"I'm not a racist, but that doesn't mean I'm friendly with the feral kind." I said to him.

"Well now. That's a surprise! I'm used to every asshole smoothskin in this town giving me shit just because I look like a corpse." He said with joy evident in his tone.

"Listen Moriarty'd have my head if he caught me selling at a discount, but for you, I'll risk it." He whispered to me as he took out a dirty glass cup and began to clean it.

"Speaking of him, I need to talk to him." I said to him.

"He's in the back. By the way, my name's Gob." He said as I lead the two fillies to the back room. I turned to Gob and gave him a two finger salute.

After entering the back room, I saw Moriarty sitting in front of his terminal, typing something in. I knocked on the wall, gaining his attention. He looked at us and stood up.

"Colin Moriarty, at your service! Welcome to Moriarty's! My saloon, my home, little slice of heaven in this backwoods little burg." He said with a small bow. I looked at the older filly and motioned her to ask him.

"We're looking for our Father and we heard that he passed by here." She said. Moriarty stood there, looking at the two of them.

"Well look at you two, you've grown so much." He said to them, earning confused looks.

"What? We never met you and we were born in the Vault." The younger one said.

"Is that what your father told you? That both of you were born in that hole? That HE was born there as well?" He said as he started to laugh. After he finished his laughter, he looked at the two fillies with a serious look.

"Your father brought the both of you to the Vault right after you were born. To keep you two safe, you see. I remember it well you stayed in my saloon, after all." He said, crossing his arms and sitting back down. The fillies had a face of pure shock due to what he said.

"You look shocked. You didn't think you were born in that hole, did you? Ah, Lords.... Know the truth, and it will set you free!" He shouted at the ceiling as he raised his arms up.

"Do you or do you not know where he went?" I asked him, he looked over to me.

"And who might you be, lad?" He asked me.

"My name doesn't matter right now. Answer the question, these caps should cover it." I said as I gave him all my caps. He opened the bag and smirked. He then looked back at the fillies.

"Your dad came through here, all right. Didn't stay long, though. Said he had some important business to attend to, and headed off to the city." Moriarty said as he leaned back on his chair.

"Something to do with Galaxy News Radio. Guess that'd be the place for you to start. Good hunting, and thanks for the caps." He said, turning his chair towards his terminal. He looked back at us with an annoyed look.

"You're still standing here, and I can't think why. You know where your father went. Seems to me you ought to be out searching the Wastes." He said to us.

After we left Moriarty's, I took the two of them to the front of Megaton.

"So, I guess this is goodbye." The younger one said. I shook my head at her and gave them a smirk.

"I'm not going to let you two head out there with out a proper guide. Plus, I was leaving anyway and I wouldn't mind helping out." I said to them.

"By the way, my name's Steel Breaker." I said to them.

"I'm Celestia and this is my sister, Luna." Celestia said.

"Tell me, have you killed before?" I asked them. They both gave me shaky nods.

"Good, then I don't have to show you how to." I said as I gave both of them a ten millimeter pistol.

We then started heading southeast towards the City ruins. We passed by the Super Duper Mart and I told both of then to stay put while I cleared the inside.

It didn't take long to get rid of all the Raiders inside and all I used was a kitchen knife. I activated the protectron just in case and grabbed some food, drinks and some guns for the girls.

I walked out the supermarket and saw Celestia and Luna sitting on top of a burnt down car. I walked towards them and gave them the purified water and some food with minor rads. They thanked me for the food and we continued on.

PoV: Steel Breaker
Location: Ponyville, hospital
Time: 2:00 P.M
The Present

Me and Nyx have been waiting for the Nurse to signal us that it was fine to go see Spike. Nyx fell asleep in my arms, I didn't want to wake her up so I held on to her as she slept.

"Sir?" I heard a mare say in front of me, I looked up and saw an Earth Pony nurse.

"Allow me to escort you to Spikes room." She said, gaining a nod from me as I stood up carefully, trying not to wake up Nyx.

The nurse then lead me through a few hallways until we stopped in front of a door. She opened it and allowed me to go in.

Once I was inside, I saw Twilight holding on to an unconscious Spike. I walked up to her and moved Nyx a bit to carry her in one arm, then put a hand on Twilights shoulder.

"He'll be fine in a few hours or so, but I feel horrible. I didn't do anything to help, I was just to shocked to do anything." She said with a few tears flowing down her cheeks.

"Someponies would say what he did was stupid but I say what he tried to do was brave." I said to her. I found a few seats in the corner of the room, I grabbed one and sat down with Nyx still sleeping.

Spike started to stir, he soon opened his eyes and sat up with a loud yawn.

"Feeling better?" I asked him, making him look at me just before Twilight smothered him in a hug. I could hear Nyx was having some sort of Nigtmare, so I raised my hand and placed in on her forehead. I used a spell to change her dream to a better one and I could see that it work with the small smile she had.

After a while, a Nurse came in and gave Twilight a few papers to sign to release Spike and go home. After she was done, we made our way towards the castle and on the way, I could feel this new emotion. I feel like I should know what it is but I can't recall anything and I only feel when I'm around Twilight.

'I've lost the knowledge of my emotions and how they feel, maybe this is a good feeling.' I thought to myself as we arrived at the castle.

I held out Nyx for Twilight to pick her up and take her to her room, so she can sleep better. I then turned to look at Spike as he tried to scratch his arm inside the cast.

"Once you're fully healed up, I can teach you how to fight, if you want to that is." I said to him, he put a finger to his chin.

"If it means helping Twilight and Nyx when they need help, then count me in." He said as he held out his fist. I did the same and brofisted.

I heard the snoring of Dogmeat above me, I looked up and saw that Dogmeat has somehow climbed on to the roof and fell asleep on one of the pillars. Me and Spike looked at Dogmeat in pure confusion.

Dogmeat opened one eye and looked down at us. He laughed a little, making him slide to the side and fall down on top of me.

I glared up at him as he licked my face. I smiled as I started to pet him.
