Chapter 5: Apparently It's Great!

The security guards screamed and ran off. Alushy aimed the Casull and the Jackal.

“APPARENTLY IT'S GREAT!” she cried. She fired off three shots each, blowing off the heads of the guards. The patrons in the building ran out, terrified. Alhumbra stayed in the building, facing Alushy.

“Just like the good old days, huh, Alhumbra?” Alushy hissed.

“This is nothing like that!” Alhumbra cried. “You're too powerful. You shouldn't have the powers you do!”

“Sorry I can't help it,” Alushy growled, grinning like a psychopath. “I'm just so agitated. It's too close to daylight, and I don't have time to deal with you. So catch me if you can.” Alushy ran out the door, and Alhumbra followed her. As Alhumbra stepped into the dawn lit night, Alushy stood there, arms outstretched with the Casull and the Jackal in them. Alhumbra drew out his magic cards and prepared to fight. Alushy raised her guns high and fired. Alhumbra prepared to attack, but a loud shot cut him off. The Harkonnen round went through his middle, cutting him in two. Alhumbra screamed in pain as his legs and torso were separated in a shower of blood. Alushy put away her guns and grabbed Alhumbra by the collar and raised him high.

“You don't deserve to be part of me this time,” she snarled. “You can rot in the deepest depths of hell!” Alushy drove her free hand through Alhumbra's chest, skewering his heart. Alhumbra burst into blue flames and disintegrated almost instantly. Alushy turned to the roof where Seras was and nodded. Seras saluted back.

Back at Braveheart's house, Sunset and Blazing Fire were setting the table for dinner. Braveheart was away in Manehattan on royal business. Alushy and Seras walked into the door, and Alushy was mumbling to herself.

“Something wrong, Master?” Seras asked.

“I've had enough vampire attacks for a while,” Alushy grumbled.

“Well, lucky for you, there don't seem to be anytime soon,” Sunset said, stirring a pot. “The Iscariot Organization agreed to keep any attacks in check for us. In return, we are to provide them with blessed bullets.”

“Seems fair,” Alushy said. She looked around. “Where's Braveheart?”

“Daddy went to Manehattan,” Blazing said. “He said it was important and he'd be back as soon as he could.”

“I see,” Alushy said. “Well, I'm going to get some rest. That short lived battle with the Dandy Man was boring.” Alushy stepped into the basement, with Seras following her. As Seras closed the hatch, Blazing turned back to Sunset.

“Mommy, when did Daddy say he'll be home?” she asked.

“He said by tomorrow morning,” Sunset assured. “Don't worry honey. He's fine, I'm sure of it.” She looked toward the mountains where the sun had set and the moon was rising. She hoped Braveheart was doing all right. She'd hate for something to happen to him.

Meanwhile, in Manehattan, Braveheart had just finished his meeting with a few officials. They were generals of the security who had received the report of a squad of their own gone missing in Baltimare. Braveheart had to tell them that a vampire had killed them, and that he had personally taken care of it. When the generals mocked him for believing in such things, Braveheart explained in great detail about his line of work aside from ruling Equestria. When the generals still didn't listen, Braveheart gave up. He told them that they could accept the truth, or just live oblivious to it. They chose to not believe Braveheart, so Braveheart left them. As he boarded the train back to Canterlot, he didn't notice a cloaked pony sitting behind him. As the train started to get moving, the pony put a hand to Braveheart's mouth, and held a blade to his throat.

“Now you better cooperate,” the pony hissed. “Or you'll never make it back home.” Braveheart wasn't about to do anything for this pony. He grabbed the pony's hand with the knife in it and squeezed. The pony let go of the knife, and Braveheart threw him over his shoulder. He hit the floor of the train hard, causing nearby ponies to back away in fear. Braveheart pulled out his revolver and held it to the cloaked pony's temple. The pony knocked the gun out of Braveheart's hand and threw a punch. Braveheart easily dodged the attack and countered with a swing of his own. The mechanical arm was suddenly stopped by a magical aura. Braveheart kicked the pony in the gut, knocking himself free. Braveheart jumped back, rolled, and quickly levitated his revolver to his hand. The cloaked pony pulled out two semi-automatic handguns and pointed them at Braveheart. The two stood there for a time, guns outstretched, their glares daring the other to pull the trigger. The cloaked pony finally broke. Braveheart saw him pull the triggers, and he quickly ducked out of the way. He slid towards the pony, quickly disarming him and pinning him to the floor. Braveheart held the three guns to the pony's head. Two guns in his magic grip and one in his mechanical hand.

“Who do you work for?” Braveheart cried. The pony didn't answer. Braveheart pushed the guns closer onto the pony.

“Who. Do you. Work for?” he repeated. “If you do not answer, I will not hesitate to kill you.”

“Millennium,” the pony replied.

“What's Millennium?” Braveheart questioned. The pony's eyes narrowed.

“Your destruction,” he said. Braveheart's eyes shrunk and he lost his hold on his guns as he was stabbed in the side. He had forgotten about the pony's knife. He knocked the pony unconscious and stood up, gripping his bleeding side. He immediately fell back onto his rear. Two other ponies ran over. Braveheart recognized them. They were Pegasus sisters Flitter and Cloudchaser.

“Are you OK?” Flitter asked.

“Yeah,” Braveheart muttered. “I just...agh...need a medic...that's all.” Cloudchaser ran off to find a paramedic while Flitter stayed with Braveheart.

“There's some cloth in my saddlebag,” Braveheart said. Flitter rummaged through his bag until she found the cloth. She pressed it against Braveheart's wound to stop the bleeding. Cloudchaser came back with a young mare.

“All right, step aside,” she requested. Flitter moved out of the way, while still holding the cloth to Braveheart's side.

“What happened?” the young mare asked.

“The asshole...laying unconscious behind me...stabbed me,” Braveheart managed, pissed. He levitated his gun to his holster. The mare noticed.

“Is that yours?” she asked. Braveheart nodded. The mare wrapped the wound in gauze and medical tape. She helped Braveheart up.

“I'm going to have to ask that you have this inspected more thoroughly by Doctor Redheart in Canterlot,” she said. Braveheart nodded.

“I was headed there now,” he said. The mare nodded and returned to her seat in another car. A couple of guards came into the car, and hoisted up the cloaked pony.

“This the one giving you trouble?” one of them asked.

“Yeah,” Braveheart said. He waved off the guards and they carried the attacker to the back of the train. Flitter and Cloudchaser returned to their seats, as did Braveheart. The rest of the way to Canterlot, he couldn't stop wondering about the pony that attacked him.
