Chapter 7: The Bird of Hermes is My Name...

Alushy stood up from her throne and flew up out of the armory. The house was darkened. Braveheart, Sunset Shimmer, and Blazing Fire were asleep upstairs. Seras had also fallen asleep in a dark corner of the armory, leaving Alushy the only one awake. She decided to go for a walk in the Everfree. She quietly opened up the door and stepped outside. She shut the door behind her and flew to the Everfree. The cool night air felt refreshing on Alushy’s wings and body. Her trench coat flowed in the wind, and she had to hold her hat to her head to prevent it from flying off her head. The moonlight reflected off of her glasses, giving off a red glow. A couple of Pegasi flew past her, and she grinned at them. They nervously waved back and flew away. Alushy landed at the entrance to the Everfree a few minutes later. The very essence of the forest seemed to draw away from Alushy’s presence. A few timberwolves howled in the distance at the moon, further improving Alushy’s mood. Something urged Alushy to go into the deepest part of the woods. She followed her gut into the Everfree.

“I can’t remember the last time I went on a midnight stroll through the woods,” Alushy said to herself. “I’ve forgotten how good it feels.” She continued through the dense forest. The air was clear, the moon was full, and she was dying to sink her teeth into something. She had gone about five miles into the Everfree when she stopped. She felt the presence of Celestia. She instinctively ducked and rolled to avoid a swinging blade, pulling out the Casull and the Jackal upon reaching her standing position. She pointed them at where the attack came from. Standing there, pissed off more than anything, was Applejack in her robes. Her glasses shone menacingly in the moonlight.

“Why are you here?” Alushy asked.

“Ah was gonna ask you the same thing,” Applejack retorted, blades out.

“I was drawn to an odd presence I felt deep within these woods,” Alushy said. “It feels familiar.”

“Were you now?” Applejack questioned, a bit surprised. “Ah was doin’ the exact same.”

“Oh, really?” Alushy deadpanned. Applejack nodded and put her blades away. Alushy slid her guns back into her coat.

“Next time we see each other, nothing will stop our fight,” she said.

“Agreed,” Applejack said. She and Alushy turned away from each other and went their separate ways through the Everfree.

Back in Canterlot, Braveheart had just woken up from a loud bang. He got up out of bed and quietly walked downstairs. He flipped on a light switch and found that the kitchen window had been shattered. He pulled out his gun and cautiously looked around. He heard the click of a hammer behind his head.

“Move, and I blow your brains out,” a familiar feminine voice threatened. Braveheart recognized the voice.

“Twilight?” he asked.

“You got that right,” Twilight hissed. “Now get on your knees.” Braveheart cracked a slick smile, then spouted a one liner Alucard had said once.

“I’m not your mother last night!” Twilight was taken aback by this, and Braveheart gave a small laugh. “Oh, that felt good,” he said. While Twilight was still in shock, Braveheart whipped around and grabbed her with his magic, keeping her from pulling the trigger.

“Let me go,” Twilight growled.

“Not until I get some answers,” Braveheart refused. “Why are you here, in my house, threatening to kill me?”

“I won’t tell you anything,” Twilight retorted. Braveheart walked behind Twilight. With her being constrained with magic, she couldn’t turn her head. Braveheart undid the strap on his holster, allowing his revolver to come free.

“I don’t have time for this,” he deadpanned. “I should be asleep. You’re lucky you didn’t wake up Blazing Fire. She really gets cranky when she doesn’t get her sleep. And so do I. Now, I won’t ask you again. Why are you doing here, threatening to kill me?” Twilight wouldn’t say a word. Braveheart gave a heavy sigh. He pulled out his revolver and cocked back the hammer.

“I don’t want to kill you Twilight,” he said. “But I will do what I must.” He put the muzzle of the gun to Twilight’s forehead. She started to sweat. Braveheart inched the trigger closer to the firing point, and Twilight panicked when she saw the chamber slowly spin toward a bullet.

“OK, OK!” she cried, finally snapping. Braveheart took his finger off the trigger and put his gun away.

“Start talking,” he ordered.

“All right,” Twilight agreed. “I came to the realization that you had to die.”

“Why?” Braveheart questioned.

“It’s best for Equestria,” Twilight said. “You bring out the worst in Equestria, and the worst in me.”

“Lies,” Braveheart fumed. “Had you been the only one to rule Equestria after the Princesses’ death, Equestria would’ve fallen into chaos long ago.”

“You were favored by Luna,” Twilight said. “She somehow convinced Celestia to allow you to rule. I should have been the one. I was Celestia’s personal student before I ascended into Alicornhood, and I was more worthy than you.” Braveheart shook his head.

“You may be a princess,” he said. “But you were still young and reckless. I may be younger than you, but I was more mature. You try being abandoned by your own parents as soon as you could walk. I had to fend for myself on the streets. I had to mature just to survive. Had Luna not found me, I would have died long before I got to you after my accident. You nursed me back to health without a second thought.”

“But had I known you’d become the Princesses’ favorite, I would have left you for dead,” Twilight hissed.

“Bullshit!” Braveheart cried. “There were no favorites with Celestia and Luna. There was no telling what would happen to the Princesses or Equestria. I’ll have you know that I helped destroy the second Changeling threat. You’d just rely on your precious Elements of Harmony. I took a stand. No more of this. I ought to turn you in to the authorities.”

“Do that, and Equestria would fall,” Twilight countered. Braveheart rolled his eyes. He was furious.

“Maybe I should have Alushy take care of you,” Braveheart suggested. “I know she’d have some fun with you.”

“Alushy?” Twilight asked.

“Oh right,” Braveheart remembered. “You don’t know. I was visited by Miss Integra Fairbrook Windgates Hellsing, who gave me and Sunset Shimmer the responsibility of running the Hellsing Organization. Her personal vampire hunters, Alucard and Seras Victoria, appeared at this building shortly after. Alucard turned Fluttershy into a vampire, and after Fluttershy drank Alucard’s blood after he was ‘killed,’ his soul merged with hers, and they are now known as Alushy. And Applejack was the one who ‘killed’ Alucard.” Twilight’s eyes went wide at the mention of Applejack. Braveheart noticed.

“You know something, don’t you?” he guessed. Twilight looked around nervously. Braveheart pulled out his revolver.

“Yes!” Twilight cried. “I’m Applejack’s boss. We’re also vampire hunters, working under the guidance of Celestia. We are the Iscariot Organization.”

“Alushy mentioned that name,” Braveheart said. “Who is your boss?”

“Nopony,” Twilight said. “I’m the head of the organization.” Braveheart spun his gun on his finger and slid it away. He’d need more time to interrogate Twilight. He tied her to a chair, gagged her, restrained her magic, and put her in the darkest corner of the armory before slamming the hatch shut and dialing up Alushy.

~~~
Alushy kept walking through the Everfree. She was close to the very heart of the forest. During her walk, she had shot three timberwolves, a cragadile, and an ursa major. Her soft side kept her from killing them, but she wounded them into leaving her alone. She stopped walking as she finished dealing with another timberwolf. In the heart of the Everfree forest sat a giant, black, dead tree. It was split down the middle, and the bark was charred. An evil presence radiated from within the tree. Inside was a silver coffin with a demonic eye symbol near the top. Underneath the eye were the words, “The bird of Hermes is my name, eating my wings to make me tame.” This was the coffin that held the power to Alucard’s level 0 restriction, with all of his devoured souls since his last restriction release. Alushy stepped closer to the coffin and put a hand to it. Dark magic flowed from the coffin into Alushy. Her eyes lit up red and she grinned evilly. Her flip phone suddenly rang. She flipped it open and held it to her ear.
“Hello?” she asked.
“Alushy, it’s Braveheart,” Braveheart said. “I need you back at the estate to deal with an issue.”
“I’m on my way,” Alushy agreed. She instantaneously teleported to Braveheart’s kitchen. Braveheart was waiting for her, rings around his eyes from lack of sleep.
“What are your orders my master?” Alushy asked. “You look tired.”
“I was awoken not long ago by Twilight Sparkle, new head of the Iscariot Organization,” Braveheart explained. “She tried to kill me. Do with her what you wish, but have some fun doing it.” Alushy grinned at this.
“Where is she?” she asked.
“In the basement,” Braveheart said. “Speaking with Seras. She should have the answers Hellsing needs.” Alushy nodded and climbed into the basement. Braveheart shut the hatch and went back to bed.
Twilight was struggling in her bonds in the corner. Seras was standing by Alushy’s throne.
“Master, Twilight has told me everything,” she informed.
“Good,” Alushy smiled. “I’ll deal with her from here.” Seras left the armory, locking the hatch behind her. Alushy walked to the chair Twilight was restrained in. She undid her gag and bonds. Twilight stood up as Alushy removed her magic restraint. Twilight punched Alushy in the gut and started to run. Alushy quickly grabbed Twilight by the back of her collar.
“You’re going nowhere,” Alushy hissed.
“Try me,” Twilight growled. She let loose a magic blast, sending Alushy reeling back. She spawned in a powerful rifle and fired at Alushy, who drew the Casull and the Jackal. The bullets struck Alushy, but had little effect. Alushy fired her guns, but Twilight avoided them with ease. She was having a bit of fun with this.
“You can’t touch me!” she cried, avoiding bullets left and right. “I’m hand crafted to kill monsters like you! My magic, my stamina, my powerful rifle. Hey, twerp yours! In comparison to you, I am a demi-god! Maybe more powerful than Celestia!” Alushy was hunched over, bleeding out. Yet she was laughing. Twilight was confused.
“What’s so funny?” she asked.
“Yes,” Alushy said. “I haven’t had this much fun in ages!” She looked up, one eye missing, replaced with a glowing red dot. “What did you say your name was?”
“It’s Twilight,” Twilight said. “Twilight Sparkle.”
“Twilight Sparkle,” Alushy hissed, her darker side taking over. “It’s obvious that your magic does rival that of even Celestia.” She put her hands to the side of her head, uttering a systematic control release.
“Releasing Control Art Restriction Systems 3...2...1. Approval of situation A recognized; commencing the Cromwell Invocation. Ability restrictions lifted for limited use until the enemy has been rendered silent.” She moved her hands in a specific motion, making a rectangle around her eye. The armory went completely black, and disembodied eyes flew into Alushy. Twilight was terrified. A single eye opened up from the middle of Alushy’s darkened head.
“Now, Twilight Sparkle,” Alushy demonically growled. “It’s time to educate you on how I DO BATTLE!” Two demonic dogs emerged from Alushy’s body, charging at Twilight. Alushy’s shit-grinning head and arms fell to the ground in a bloody mess. Twilight screamed and ran for the ladder to the hatch, not knowing it was locked. Alushy’s arm sprouted from the mouth of one of the hell hounds, holding the Jackal. She fired, and the bullet tore off one of Twilight’s legs. Twilight cried out in pain as she tried to keep going. Alushy fired again, tearing off another leg. Twilight screamed in agony as she tumbled to the floor. She took hold of the ladder and climbed up, but when she tried to open the hatch, she found it locked. Knowing she was defeated, she dropped back to the ground and started to cry. She looked back to see Alushy changed. Her hair was flowing free, and she now wore her black, torn strait jacket. There was a large, bloodshot eye on Alushy’s chest, and the Hound of Baskerville replaced her right arm. Alushy had a sinister smile plastered on her face.
“Come on, get up!” Alushy cried. “Attack me! You've only suffered the loss of your legs! Summon up your familiars! Transform your body! Heal your severed legs and stand! The night is still so young. Come on, hurry, hurry, hurry! Pull yourself together. The fun has just begun! Come on! HURRY!”
“MONSTER!!!” Twilight yelled. The armory went silent. Alushy frowned in disappointment.
“So, this is who you truly are,” she muttered out loud.
“SHUT UP!” Twilight cried. “You’re nothing but a dog! A destructive toy for Canterlot!” Alushy sighed.
“You’re pathetic,” she growled. “I thought you’d be more of a challenge. Apparently I was wrong. If I’m a dog, then you’re dog food.” The Hound of Baskerville howled, and it charged. Twilight squeezed off three shots before the hell hound was upon her. Limb by limb, Twilight Sparkle, former student of Celestia and Princess of Friendship, was devoured by Alushy. Her own greed and jealousy led her to this fate. There was nothing left but a red stain on the floor. Alushy reverted to normal as her ability restrictions returned.
“It’s a shame I overestimated you,” she grumbled. Alushy sat down in her throne and absorbed the rest of Twilight’s blood as Seras flew back into the armory.
Braveheart had been listening to Alushy and Twilight battle before he laid down for some sleep. He had just laid down when Sunset tapped his shoulder. He rolled over to face her.
“What happened?” she whispered. Braveheart sighed.
“Twilight tried to kill me,” he said. “Her jealousy got the better of her.”
“What did you do to her?”
“Seras and I interrogated her. I got the basics, and Seras got the rest. She’ll be telling all of us tomorrow morning.”
“Twilight?”
“No. Seras and I. Alushy killed Twilight.”
“What?!”
“She gave me no choice,” Braveheart reasoned. “She was too dangerous to us to be kept alive.”
“Well, I guess if there was no other choice…” Sunset reluctantly agreed.
“I didn’t want to kill her either, Sunset. But she was too dangerous. I’m sorry.” Sunset nodded and rolled over. Braveheart wrapped his arms around Sunset and they both fell asleep.
