Chapter 11: Dazed and Confused

You woke up with a sharp pain in your horn and lower back, and after opening your eyes you found out where you were. It was a hut out in the Everfree, and it was a familiar one at that, but just as you were about to think about who's hut you were in, he walked through the door.

"Glad to see you're awake, you had quite the fall" he said in his rough voice.

"Hey Forrest," you said as you sat up, "How long have I been out?"

"Around three days, I found you just outside my hut one morning," he chuckled, "Your horn was stuck in the ground and you were leaning over so far yer ass was touching the ground in front of you!"

"That would explain the pain I'm feeling," you replied while rubbing your back, "Have you heard any news from Ponyville about what happened yet?"

"Nope, should I have?"

"It's a long story"

"I have time," he said as he pulled up a chair, "Let's hear it"

"Dear Celestia man, how did you manage to do all that in under a week?!" he shouted as you finished your story. In all the years you've know Wandering Woods you've never seen him this worked up, nor have you seen him this worried.

"Why are you so worried, it's not like you're the one who turned down a princess" you asked as he checked out the window for something.

"You think Celestia just tossed you here for fun?" he shouted again, "She sent you here so you would die!"

"She would never do that! It's her job to keep us safe, not kill us!"

"You turned her sister down man, she's obviously pissed off at you!"

"So why are you so worried, she probably thinks I'm dead by now"

"She's probably going to have soldiers looking for you just in case you survived, and if they find you here..." he drifted off as he looked outside again.

"What's up, why did you stop talk-" you said as you got closer to the window.

"Oh fuck" you both said simultaneously.

Right outside of Forrest's hut stood Celestia herself, no guards, no escort, nothing. Just her.

"I know you're in there Silver, come out and things with stay peaceful"

"Well Forrest, it was nice knowing you" you said as you made your way outside, knowing that defying her would only put his life in danger as well.

"Your friend should come out with you"

"Ah fuck" Forrest mumbled as he came out after you.

"Ah, hello Wandering Woods, thank you for taking care of him for me"

"Uh, no problem princess, it was my pleasure" Forrest replied as he bowed down before her.

"Okay, now if you two would please stay still for a moment..." Celestia said as her horn began to glow.

"It was nice knowing you as well Silver" Forrest said as he closed his eyes, accepting his fate.

"Ah, that went well, you can open your eyes now" Celestia said calmly. Both you and Forrest opened your eyes and realized that Celestia wasn't planning to kill you, she was only bringing the two of you to Canterlot.

"Well, that was better than what I thought was happening," Forrest said as he looked around, "Been ages since I was here, back then I still had both wings!"

"What did you think I was doing?" Celestia asked, sounding genuinely concerned.

"Um, princess, we thought you were um..." you started.

"Coming to kill us" Forrest said bluntly.

"Why would I ever do that?"

"Because you sent him into the Everfree," Forrest said while pointing a hood at you, "and just by looking at me you can tell it isn't a very safe place to be" What he said was true, he had scars running across his body, and was even missing a wing after an encounter with a Manticore, and it was safe to say that he'd seen more action that most of the Canterlot guard combined.

"Oh, well I wasn't actually planning to send him there" Celestia said with her cheeks turning pink.

"So, if you don't mind me asking, what happened?" you asked, now wondering how she made a mistake like that.

"I think it was due to my own anger, and it ended up affecting my magic. I am very sorry for what happened" Celestia said as she looked away due to her embarrassment.

"It's fine," you said as you walked up to her, "But can you do something about the pain?"

"Of course, where does it hurt?"

"My back and horn"

"Oh, well, I can take care of your back right here, but the horn..." she said as she slowly turned red.

"What?"

"Oh nothing, just remember to come by my chambers later, I'll fix your horn then"

"Um, okay," you said while looking at her with an eyebrow raised, "So why did you bring us here?"

"Oh yes, almost forgot," Celestia cleared her throat, "Luna would like to speak with you Silver"

"Really, even after what happened?"

"Yes, if you head up the stairs to your left you will find her chambers"

"Excuse me," Forrest asked as you made your way towards the stairs, "but that doesn't explain why I'm here"

"Well, for taking care of Silver while he was otherwise unable to," Celestia replied with a smile, "You shall be rewarded, so if you'll just come with me" After saying that Celestia made her way towards the stairs opposite the ones she told you to go up, which you assumed led to her chambers, so you quickly winked at Forrest, knowing what he was in store for. You remember the stories you would hear from Shining Armor when he first became Captain of the guard, about how stallions would enter her chambers, and then come out a few hours later while walking funny.

After you lost sight of Forrest you made your way up the stairs to Luna's chamber, half hoping and half expecting, that your time in a princess' chambers would be more foal friendly. Before you could knock on the door it opened, with Luna standing just on the other side.

"Good evening" you said nervously.

"Yes, um, good evening, could you please come inside" Luna said as she turned slightly pink. You did as you were told and made your way inside, only to find Luna making herself comfortable on her bed, and when she lightly patted her hoof against a pillow you knew she wanted you to join her.

"So, Celestia said you had wanted to talk?" you asked as you sat on the edge of her bed.

"Yes," Luna replied, looking somewhat disappointed that you didn't actually go onto the bed, "It's about our relationship" You nodded hesitantly, mostly since the last time you had talked about it she had flown away crying, and partly because of where you were.

"Last time we talked we were both a little emotional, so I think now we can actually talk" she said as she nuzzled against your back.

"Um, okay, so what is it you wanted to talk about?" you asked nervously.

"Well, actually, I was hoping we could do something other than talking" Luna said in a sultry tone. Before you could ask her what she meant you heard Celestia yell from the other side of the palace.

"WORSHIP MY PLOT YOU LOWLY PEASANT!"

"It seems my sister has already gotten started," Luna said with a giggle, "Shall we begin"

"But," you replied confusedly.

"Oh come on, you said you didn't remember the first time because you were drunk"

"Yeah, but..."

"Are you drunk right now?"

"No..."

"Then you have no excuse! Come over here and show me how much you love me..."

"But..." you said as she pulled you towards her, "What in the..."

Now for some information: Wandering Woods (aka Forrest) is a Pegasus, if you couldn't tell, and he tends the Everfree. Basically that means he makes sure that the Everfree doesn't grow, and he also makes sure the bests don't get out into the normal parts of Equestria
