Takeshi was a loner even by hunter-nin standards. At a young age, he was adopted by Hanzo The Salamander. He was trained in the shinobi arts and soon began to follow the path of a swordsman from the mist. After eliminating a target, Takeshi returns only to find Amegakure under the control of Pein and his adopted family dead. Wanting revenge he confronts this 'god' only to be killed by him. Instead of death, he finds himself in a new world.
