Shinobi Of The Sword
Chapter Two
Previous ChapterAs the essence of sleep left his body, Takeshi awoke from his spot in the tree. He looked around, wondering where he was until the memories of yesterday came back to him. 'So I wasn't dreaming, huh? Well, things could be worse.' he thought while glancing off towards the direction of where the creatures had gone.
He kept staring wondering what he should do. One hand is that they could be hostile and he didn't know what village their summoners were from. He could easily be killed. The other hand was curiosity. To find out what village had strange summons like that. At first appearance those...he wasn't sure what they were though they seemed Offley close to horses. They don't seem like they could do a lot of damage besides the ones with horns. The ones with wings could be used as scouts maybe. Aerial reconnaissance.
Shaking his head to clear his thoughts he glanced towards where those strange summons went. Taking stance after strapping his sword back on he jumped to another branch only to jump to another as he landed. Pretty soon he was just a blur as he jumped from branch to branch all the while his thoughts were going a million miles per hour. Hopefully, this village won't spot him. He stopped on one last branch and get glanced towards.....a house near an orchard of trees.
'Hmm.' Takeshi kept looking for any shinobi wondering around or trying to sense the anbu that was surely patrolling this village.
Satisfied he jumped onto the ground then quickly sprinted across the open field and reached the house in less than a second only to jump, landing on the roof of the house without a sound. He quickly glanced around to see if any shinobi were around or if they were attacking. All he saw was just the open sky with clouds floating endlessly.
'Strange.'
He jerked his head up when he heard a door slam shut. Walking over while crouched down he peered down only to see that small creature he saw the other day. Applebloom he believed her name was. Staring at her he saw she was running away from the house towards what appeared to be a tree house in a tree. Staring for a few more moments, he jumped down to the ground and jumped towards a tree all the while following her towards the treehouse and jumped on the roof of it.
'I don't know why I am following them.' Takeshi thought as he listened in and heard two more voices with Applebloom. 'Must be her friends.'
He couldn't hear what they were saying exactly but from the sound of it.....they were planning something. Something about a cutie mark and zip lining? What in the world were those anyway? He stopped his train of thought when he heard the door the tree house slammed open. Glancing over the side he glanced at them just seeing them walking away with rope.....and what were those things? Deciding to find out he followed them but made sure to stay in the trees so he wouldn't be seen.
He followed them to some trees where he saw them climbing up the largest one watching as one of them climbed up it while the other two walked down towards another tree and stretched out a long rope they had. After making sure, it was done the two climbed up the tree to join their friend Scootaloo while putting helmets on and......attaching something to themselves and the rope......they have a death wish don't they?
"Are you sure about this Scootaloo? I never even heard of a pony zip lining before." Sweetie Belle spoke and it was obvious she was nervous judging from the tone of her voice.
Looking closer, he could see the one known as Applebloom was just as nervous as her friend. Scootlaoo?
"Nither have I. But Spike told me it was awesome!"
Takeshi watched in confusion as she jumped while the other two were pulled along with her. Why would she do such a thing to her friends. Watching he saw the three were speeding faster and faster while the metal that was attached to the rope began to glow a fiery orange and the smell of rope burning was in the air. Takeshi watched as the three soon got stuck in the middle of the rope causing the three to bunch up and get stuck.
"Great! You got any other ideas?" Applebloom asked her friend.
The three felt a jerk from the rope causing them to look up to see the rope was slowly coming off.
"Yeah, just one," Scootaloo spoke as the rope snapped causing the three to fall. "HELP!"
He watched as the three fell closer and closer to the ground. jumping through the air, he grabbed the three even as they yelled in his ear. Landing on the ground he dropped them before quickly jumping into a tree hiding as he watched them again only to they continued to yell for a few more moments but stopped as they realised they didn't hit the ground while the three had looks of confusion on their faces.
"See anything?"
Takeshi watched as Scootaloo glanced at the back of her hand only to look down disappointed. "Nothing."
"Plan B?"
"Yeah. Know where we can find a cannon at this hour?"
What in the world is a cannon?
Glancing back over, he saw the pony throw her helmet to the ground. "It's no use. No matter what we do, we always end up without our cutie marks. At least for once we are not covered in tree sap."
Is their luck that bad?
"Maybe we should do something less dangerous. Like pillow testing or flower sniffing."
Scootaloo just gave her friend a deadpanned look that said really.
Applebloom spoke up beside her friends. "There has to be something we can do."
The three were silent before Scootaloo's face lit up. "Cave exploring!"
Her friends just glanced at her.
"The cave where the dragon slept!"
"D...d...d.dragon!"
"Relax. I heard that Rainbow Dash being amazing as she is drove off the dragon with her friends."
"But we have to go through the Everfree forest!"
"Exactly. What the worse that could happen?" Scootaloo asked.
Takeshi didn't know why but he was sure he just heard a evil laughter in the background. Shaking his head he watched the three began walking towards where he knew they were going. He could just ignore them and let them go....but.....sighing he stood up and jumped after them from tree to tree. He just knew this was going to be trouble as he watched them.
