My Little Cyber

    "KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK"

    Twilight Sparkle flinched at the sudden noise booming from the entrance of the library.

    "A visitor? But the library isn't suppose to be open for another hour."

    The young mare calmly made her way to the large oak doors. Using her magic to slowly open the entrance, Twilight was immediately confronted with a smiling pink party pony sporting a yellow and blue party hat.

    "Oh, good morning Pinkie." Twilight said casually.

    In a moments notice, Pinkie Pie began to sing what seemed to be... a verbal invitation to some sort of birthday party. It was hard to follow along because of how sudden the outburst had been.

    "...It won't be the same without you, so we hope that you say yes. So please, oh, please RSVP and come and be our guess!"

    Pinkie finished with her arms outstretched, that same infectious smile still plastered on her face.

    "Party tonight?" asked Twilight, "I would love to come, Pinkie."

    "Great, I can't wait to see you there! I'm sure Gummie is super excited to have you there, isn't that right Mr. birthday-gator?" Pinkie said as she reached behind her back, and produced a small toothless alligator.

    "Hold on just a second, are you planning to invite all of our friends?"

    "Wel duh! What kind of party would it be without the rest of the girls?"

    "I mean, that sounds great and all, but are you sure you have the energy to sing that super long song four more times?"

    "Oh Twilight, don't be silly. This is Pinkie Pie we're talking about!"

    "That's exactly what I'm worried about..." muttered Twilight under her breath. "Anyways, thanks for the invite, and I'll see you tonight."

    "Okie dokie lokie, see ya Twilight."

    As Pinkie skipped away, Twilight let out a long, heavy sigh. While Pinkie was one of her best friends, her shenanigans could still somehow get on her nerves, especially when they happened so early in the morning.

    "Everything okay, Twi?"

    Twilight turned around to see her number one assistant descending the stairs, lazily rubbing the sleep out of his eyes.

    "Yeah, I'm fine. You know how Pinkie is." said Twilight as she shut the door behind her.

    "Pinkie Pie? This early in the morning? Why?"

    "Oh, she was just inviting me to a party tonight. Speaking of which, how would you like to tag along?"

    Spike let out a long tired yawn, before smacking his lips together.

    "Sorry Twi, but I didn't exactly sleep too well last night."

    "Well that sucks, you better get to bed early tonight. You are a growing dragon after all." replied Twilight in an understanding tone, "speaking of growing, did you hit another growth spurt? I think your nearly as tall as me at this point."

    "Huh?" replied Spike in a confused voice, "I hadn't noticed."

    "Wow, at this rate, you'll be a full grown dragon in no time!" exclaimed Twilight, "now let's get some breakfast. After that, we can get started on organizing the library."

    A grumble escaped Spike's stomach at the mention of 'breakfast'

    "Yeah, breakfast sounds good right about now."

    It was late in the evening when Twilight and the rest of her friends left Sugar Cube Corner. Night had fallen hours ago, and it seemed like the lights pouring out of the sweet shop were the only form of illumination in the streets.

    "Woo-we, I haven't had that much fun since... well since your last party. Thanks for the invite!" said Applejack.

    "See ya later birthday alligator!" shouted Rainbow Dash

    "Bravo for hosting yet another delightful soiree." complemented Rarity.

    "It's been lovely." whispered Fluttershy.

    As Twilight was catching up to her friends, she heard Pinkie shout after her.

    "You sure you don't wanna stay? There's still some cake left!" Pinkie shouted from the window.

    "Uh, I think I'm gonna pass. Great party though. We should do this again soon." replied Twilight as she continued to walk away.

    Rainbow Dash turned towards Twilight as soon as she caught up to the rest of her friends.

    "Hey, listen Twi, you sure you're gonna be alright walking home at this hour?"

    "Please Rainbow, I regularly go through the Everfree Forest at this time of night. I'll be fine."

    "Alright then big shot, I'll catch ya later."

    The rest of the girls said their goodbyes, before continuing on their separate ways.

    The moonlight pouring onto the quiet streets was guiding Twilight through the town. The chirps of the crickets and her own soft footsteps seemed to be the only noises within within the village. As Twilight strolled through the streets, she couldn't help but to feel a sense of peace from the atmosphere.

    The peace was disturbed however, as she suddenly saw an extremely large earth pony burst through a large set of garbage bins, spraying it's contents all over the place. He seemed to hurriedly run down the opposite street in fear.

    "Hold on, what're you running fr-"

    She was interrupted a shadow gliding over top of the dirt roads. Twilights turned her gaze upward towards the moon, and immediately stood awe struck.

    A figure was soaring through the night air, gliding over the many cottages that littered the streets. A long cape was gracefully flapping in the wind behind the individual, and what seemed to be a wide brimmed hat stood atop the strangers head.

    The lone figure gracefully landed onto the roof of a nearby cottage without making so much as a sound. With a swift kick of it's legs, they were off soaring into the night once more.

    "Wait you. Stop!" shouted Twilight desperately. Her voice fell on deaf ears however, as both the stallion and the stranger had quickly taken off into the darkness.

    Without a second thought, Twilight was went chasing after the two individuals.

    By no means was Twilight one of Ponyville's fastest runners, but she still considered herself around average, finishing the annual running of the leaves. Despite this however, the two figures were covering more ground by the second.

    Just when Twilight thought the strangers had managed to escape, she heard a loud crash, a muffled scream, then silence.

    As she turned the corner, she saw the back of the stranger crouching over what seemed to be an unconscious or possibly deceased pony. She was hurriedly running her hands through the stallions pockets.

    "You, stop right there." demanded the unicorn.

    The stranger immediately froze as soon as Twilight spoke. It quietly moved its arms to its side, before slowly standing upright, and bringing herself to look directly at the mare.

    Twilight was stunned as she saw the individual. Though its face was still shrouded by the darkness under the hat, she could make out a tall, slim, and very feminine looking woman. A black body suit hugged close to her body, effectively hiding her coat underneath. Covering the rest of her figure was a pair of black leather boots, along with full leather gloves. The red trim on the back of her cape really brought out the rest of her figure, creating a strong, yet mysterious looking woman.

     "It's you..." whispered the woman in a low, astonished voice.

    "Wh- who are you?" asked Twilight as she started to make her way over.

    "Stay back!" commanded the woman, before leaping away from the confused mare.

    "Wait!" Twilight shouted after her. However, it was too late, as the woman had already disappeared into the darkness of the night.

    Twilight then turned her attention towards the stallion lying still on the ground. It's sickly green coat nearly blended into the darkness, but it's messy blond mane couldn't be missed, even in the night. The fur around it's eyes was pitch black, making an appearance close to some sort of mask. But the key feature was defiantly its sheer size, as it could probably tower over Big Mac if it were standing. Hell, it might even be as tall as Princess Celestia herself!

    Before Twilight had a chance to properly inspect the body, it started glowing a bright green light. After a moment, she heard as hiss as the light died down, revealing a smoking set of trousers, jacket, and combat boots.

    "That's impossible." muttered Twilight as she inspected the jacket. A glowing green vial slipped out of the monsters jacket.

    Twilight inspected the vial for a moment, before shoving it into her purse, and making her way home.

    Unbeknownst to her, a shadow in a nearby alleyway witnesses the event. And quietly followed the unicorn.

    Twilight slowly opened the door to the library, before sneaking in, and gently shutting it behind her. Though the excitement from the nights events hadn't worn off yet, she made sure to be extra quiet for Spike's sake. He is a growing dragon after all.

    She slowly made her way over to a large wooden desk, and proceeded to drag various quills and parchments out of the draws, along with some basic chemistry equipment. Then, ever so carefully, she lifted the glowing vial out of her purse.

    Twilight examined it for a long while, she had never seen anything like it in any of her books. She slowly lifted a hand to the cap, and twisted the bit of steel off, producing a low hiss from the vial. She then pored the smallest amount's into a nearby tray.

    The bit of plastic melted away as soon as it made contact with the mysterious liquid.

    "Acid? But why?" Twilight questioned aloud, before furiously scribbling some notes onto the parchment.

    Suddenly, a portion of the moonlight pouring from the window was blocked out, causing Twilight to turn towards the obstruction.

    Standing on the window sill, was the mysterious woman.

    "Please give me the vial." the woman asked in a soft voice. She slowly stepped off the sill, and made her way towards the nervous unicorn.

    "Wha- what vial?" Twilight asked, quietly sliding the rest of the glowing substance under her desk.

    "The vial." demanded the woman, "you're the only one who could have taken it."

    Twilight then began pacing back and forth across the room.

    "Look, I don't know who you are, but you can't just go around taking things from strangers."

    She then heard a muffled groan coming from the stranger. When Twilight looked over, she saw that the woman had fallen into her knees, while clutching her shoulder in pain. Twilight ran over to help.

    "Woah, are you okay?"

    The stranger looked up at Twilight. Disregarding her previous question.

    "Please, you're in great danger."

    With the warning escaped for her lips, there was a crash at the door. Looking over, Twilight saw another one of the ginormous green stallions. Its pure blood red eyes glared daggers through Twilight, before letting forth a battle cry, and charging towards the two women.

   Twilight quickly jumped out of the way as soon as she heard the stallion coming, then turned her eyes over towards the woman who hadn't moved an inch.

    "Look out!" cried Twilight. The stranger was about to get hit by the monstrous fist accelerating dangerously towards her.

    But at a moments noticed, the strange woman took off into the air, causing the beast to run his fist into the floor below. When the woman fell behind the stallion, she delivered a powerful kick into the beast's head, pushing herself away from the intruder, and shoving the monster at Twilights desk.

    The stallion let out another loud roar, before ripping the heavy wood desk off the floor. Turning towards the stranger, the monster started swinging the slab of wood at the woman, who proceeded to dodge each hit with ease.

    After a few swings from the stallion, the woman threw a punch at the monster, snapping the wood into splinters, and effecting delivering a powerful blow into the stallions head. She then sent a volley of her own punches toward the stallion, each one making it's mark, and causing the beast to cry out in pain.

    The fight stopped abruptly however, as a sharp pain shot up through the woman's arm. She let out a cry of pain, immediately grabbing at the same shoulder as before.

    The stallion took used opportunity to take the offensive, and immediately grabbed the woman by the head. He lifted her into the air, and threw her into a nearby wall, causing cracks to form in the wood. The stallion roared into her face.

    "You killed brother! Now you must die!"

    "Leave her alone!" shouted Twilight, before sending a magical energy beam directly at the stallion. The impact landed on the beast's chest, forcing him off of the woman.

    He screamed at the unicorn, before charging at her, and throwing another punch. Twilight couldn't dodge the hit, and the impact tossed her into one of the many book shelves in the library, completely knocking her unconscious.

    The stallion then turned his attention back towards the woman clad in black, only to find that she had disappeared.

    The monster felt a strong force push him from behind, before getting thrown out a nearby window. The woman quickly jumped in pursuit.

    The stranger landed on top of the falling monster, then proceeded to jump, accelerating his decent from the library dramatically. There was a horrifying crack as the monster hit the ground below.

    By the time the woman had landed, the disintegration process had already begun. The same green light shone brilliantly as the monster dissipated into nothingness, leaving a pile of old clothes behind.

    And a vial of bubbling green acid.

    The woman quickly grabbed the vial from the remains of the monster, and with a flick of her fingers, the cap came flying off. Bringing the vial to her lips, she guzzled the liquid.

   The woman then directed her attention towards the top of the treehouse, where a gaping hole had formed.

    "I suppose I have some unfinished business" spoke the woman, before jumping back into the side of the house.
