Chapters The wind raced through the caves and caverns that lined the sea-front cliffs. Rain fell like icy bullets in a hurricane, the smell of sea lingered miles inland.
Normal ponies would be put off from going out in this monster of a storm, but not Sky Song. She was the youngest child of two wonderbolts after all, she also had two older brothers and an older sister to live with
What was a little storm?

'Hurry!' A very stressed Twilight was calling in the last of Canterlots elite.
The storm had hit Canterlot the hardest, which wasn't surprising considering the mountain city's high altitude and valley prone to flooding.
Twilight had been called to Canterlot a few days prior to the evacuation of the elite from the city, from an urgent letter sent by Princess Celestia about a storm on the way.
Twilight violet magical aura shone around a piece of parchment as she read the letter again.
Dear Princess Twilight Sparkle,
It is of the utmost importance that you, and your friends, the bearers of the elements of harmony, travel to Canterlot immediately.
There is a magical storm tearing through Equestria traveling from Baltimare towards Canterlot and Ponyville.
Twilight looked up at that moment as she heard The doors slam shut. After a lightning quick headcount she returned to reading the letter
You and your friends are vital to Equestria's survival and need to be secured with Equestria's royal and elite in the safety of Canterlot Castle.
The castle shall be secured by a spell, which deflects storms, even magical ones, cast by the royal party.
Time is of the essence my student!

Rainbow cantered into the storm, looking for her daughter, she saw her sitting at the edge of the cliff-

Rainbow Dash, the element of loyalty, came bursting through the palace doors followed by none other than the Wonderbolts.
She noticed that their entrance had drawn all eyes to them. She scanned the room to see Twilight studying a letter
'I wonder what that's about?' Dash thought.
Reading her mind Rarity explained that it was a letter summoning the six mares to Canterlot.
Rainbow decided against questioning how Rarity had found that out. Twilight always kept the subject of her letters to and from Princess Celestia completely private, however, Rarity, even as the element of generosity, was well known for snooping on other ponies business, no doubt she had sneaked a look at the letter the last time she was at the library.
'Hey! Rainbow Dash!' A cheerful male voice called out. Dash spun on the spot and saw none other than Soarin' Skies- Deputy Captain of the Wonderbolts.
'S-s-s- Soarin! Umm hey!' She replied 'great now I sound like fluttershy' she thought.
'Hey! I just wanted to say thanks on behalf of the team for telling us about the evacuation of the 'Elite'!' He replied, a huge grin plastered on his face.

'Sky Song! What are you doing all the way out here by yourself? Where's Spectrum Blast?' Dash frantically ran towards her daughter
'Oh, hey Mom', the younger Pegasus replied.
'Whats wrong honey?' Dash asked, wrapping a wing around her daughter
'Nothin', I'm fine!' Sky Songs frown deepened
'Dont 'nothing' me young lady! I know something's wrong so spill!' Dash got more agitated every time her daughter gave her 'Nothing' as an answer.
Sky Song sighed
'Fiiiiiiiiiiiiinne, it's school, I don't fit in at all and I don't have any friends because my passion is singing NOT flying mom, and no one seems to understand that! I don't want to fly I want to sing! I DONT WANNA BE LIKE YOU!!!!'

Rainbow spun and saw a red faced Rarity shouting at a very scared looking Prince Blue blood.
'You Bastard!!'
All eyes were locked in Rarity and Prince Blueblood in the heat of an argument.
'Excuse me!' Blueblood replied, completely aghast
'I said, YOU BASTARD!!'
'That's rich coming from you miss moody!'
'Miss Moody, Miss FUCKING Moody!! I'll show you Miss moody in a minute you ungrateful PIG!!'
'Me an ungrateful pig?! You were the one who got cake all over my finest suit after a perfect gala night!'
'PERFECT! The fucking gala was anything but fucking perfect you treated me like fucking dirt all fucking
evening!!'
'Well then, maybe you should have thought about what could have happened before you hooked up the fucking prince you whore!'
'I am Rarity, Granddaughter of Princess Platinum, I shan't be spoken to that way!!'
'Oh really? well the only dignity in your family died a long time ago, when your grandmother had an affair with Commander Hurricane's husband! Your grandmother lost your bloodlines only bloody dignity!'
'Excuse me, the amount of bitches you sleep with I'd have thought that you'd lost your dignity as a young colt!'
The fight was reaching a climax and Rainbow's ears were hurting, there were a few more rounds of shouting before Rainbow Snapped.
'I can't believe that Celestia hasn't disowned you as her nephew yet, you skank!'
'I can't believe that a cunt like you is even allowed to talk to me!'
'HOW FUCKING DARE....' Rarity was cut off mid sentence by a shout louder than the entire of Rarity and Blueblood's rantings
'SHUUUUUUUT UUUUUUUP! BOTH OF YOU!! AS RAINBOW DASH, BEARER OF THE ELEMENT OF LOYALTY, PRINCESS CELESTIA, UNDER THE NAME OF GENERAL FIREFLY, 'S ONLY DAUGHTER; THE VERY FOUNDER OF THE WONDERBOLTS AND MAIN RULER IN EQUESTRIA, AND GRANDDAUGHTER OF COMMANDER HURRICANE I ORDER YOU TO STOP!!'
The entire room turned to see Rainbow Dash, but different.
Her usually knotted, unkempt rainbow mane was flowing and sparkling in a ponytail, just like Celestia and Luna's.
Her tail matched her mane but was shaped as a flowing lightning bolt.
Her body was coated in and Armour that matched her coat colour perfectly, rimmed with the 7 main spectra in the rainbow, shimmering from all angles.
A diadem was on her head, it looked to be her element of harmony, however this was around her neck, the diadem depicted a rainbow coloured gem in the shape of a lightning bolt and in gold and silver it was surrounded by a sun and moon, which her cutie mark had also been changed to.
Her rosy, redish pink eyes sparkled the full rainbow when light hit them and each of the chandeliers dancing candles entrancing light were reflected so perfectly in the rich, deep red pools of her eyes.
The usual shine in a mare's eye, two circles, had become lightning bolts, coloured as rainbows.
But, the most surprising change had to be her race, She was an Alicorn, a queen. Not just a queen, THE queen, The ruler of equestria, even above Her mother and aunt, celestial and luna, she was the legendary Queen Spectrum Bolt, changing her name to Rainbow Dash after running from her kingdom in the clouds, around 6,000 years before.
Ponies stared in shocked silence at the queen, some bowed, others fainted.
Blueblood was one of those who fainted, Rarity, on the other hoof, had a smile that her face could barely contain.
Rainbow landed on the floor in front of a stunned Soarin' and Wonderbolt team.
'Impressed yet Soar?' she asked flirtatiously with a wink.

Rainbow was shocked that her daughter thought she had to be like her, and that her daughter thought all she cares about was flying.
'Honey, no one ever said you had to fly to be cool, to tell you the truth, I'd rather be singing than training any day!'
'Really? Oh okay, could you teach me then?'
Night had fallen over the deserted city of Canterlot, not that anypony could tell due to the growing amount of cloud, encasing Canterlot in a blanket of darkness. princess Luna was taking over from her sister, Celestia, keeping an eye on the fast approaching storm.
'I believe that the storms weaker, outer walls will have hit by dawn, sister, we should have all doors barricaded by guards as a precaution' Luna said, panic and fear etched into her usually calm and peace full voice.
'I agree Luna, and through no fault of her own I believe Rainbow Dash may have powered the storm a little more with her transformation, given her magic is centered and most power full in the weather and natural elements ' Celestia replied, her grave tone worrying the Lunar princess more.
Soarin' was with a small patrol of guards who were unpacking ginormous crates filled to the brim with supplies to make the Elite's stay as 'comfortable' as possible when a thought suddenly entered his mind;
' Stupid Soarin'!! You should have told her about your feelings before, then maybe you would have a chance to be with her,but then again... if she has been a queen all this time, why would she be interested in some pony like me? '
Soarin ' felt a tear run a track down his face and heard it splash near silently on the floor.
She would never love some pony like him and even if she did, she wouldn't be able to marry him, and he knew it.
Suddenly a cyan hoof wiped the tear from his face and an all too familiar voice, full of kindness and compassion, spoke.
'Hey Soar, you ok what's wr.....' Rainbow was cut off by a completely unexpected, but warmly welcomed gesture, he kissed her.

With the recent events everypony realised that this storm would be longer than any of them had thought.
Rainbow was now powered down and Rarity was talking to her about the latest designs for the gala dresses, which, to her surprise, Rainbow was extremely enthusiastic about (Rainbow noticed Rarity's surprise and explained that the brash 'couldn't care less' Pegasus was just an act, she in fact loved EVERYTHING!!)
and Blueblood had just come to at the other side of the room.
'Rainbow! That was EXTRAORDINARY!! How in Celestia damned Equestria did you do that? Even the royal sisters themselves aren't as powerful as that!' Twilight came running over with 3 other mares, Apple Jack, Fluttershy and a very shocked Pinkie Pie.

'YAY!'
Rainbow began to sing in the most powerful and enchanting voice ( albeit with a country accent similar to Applejack's) Sky Song had ever heard.
'When family cannot be here, havin' journeyed far and wide,
