Tome of the Searching Flame

Leara took a sigh of relief. She was safe for now at least. She laid back and relaxed closing her eyes. When she opened her eyes Dakota was humming a nice tune. He was waiting for something she could tell.

“Hey Dakota, need anything or want anything?” She asked.

“Oh well not really or nothing you should concern yourself with.” He said nervously. Leara smiled.

“You’re my friend your problems are my problems. So c’mon what do you need?” She explained.

“Hmm, well I guess it has to do with your father. He killed the man who made this TARDIS, and named me after him. His body hasn’t completely decomposed I was thinking maybe you could make me a body with that body.” Dakota explained. Leara thought about how to make it possible then she had an idea.

“I’ll get right on it!” She said. After many trials and errors she made the perfect cyborg pony body. She smiled and reveled in her victory. “If this works I’ll be even more proud of myself.” She thought. She connected the body to Dakota’s main hub.

“Dakota, it’s ready!” She yelled. The TARDIS shut down and the body began to shake. She bit her lip. “Please work.” She thought. The body stopped moving.

“D…Dakota?” Her voice quivered. The body started to get up the ears twitching.

“Ugh… Leara, did it work?” Dakota asked. Leara’s jaw dropped. She jumped for joy and hugged Dakota.

“IT WORKED!!!” She yelled. Dakota examined himself.

“Here’s a mirror!” Leara said excitedly. Dakota looked.

“Wow I look and feel amazing. I can feel emotions wow.” He said amazed. Leara was about to burst with excitement.

“Hey Dakota can you still get the TARDIS back online?” Leara asked. Dakota nodded. He touched the main hub and the TARDIS came back online.

“Here let me unplug you.” Leara said. Dakota flexed his wings despite one being completely robotic it was as flexible as the fleshed out one. Leara read him like a book.

“Let’s go outside and test out your wings.” Leara suggested. Dakota smiled. Outside Dakota took off. He flew like a pro.

“Are you ever coming down?” Leara yelled.

“It feels so great! Thank you Leara!” Dakota yelled back.

“You’re welcome!” She called back.
