Tome of the Searching Flame Act 4 Exploring and a New Friend

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

It took a week for Leara’s wounds to heal, but when she did she wanted to explore. Dakota wanted to come along too.

“It’ll be like an adventure Dakota! C’mon let’s not dawdle.” Leara said excitedly. Leara was practically pushing Dakota out the door. When they were outside they noticed a sign and a town below the hill. The sign read: “Ponyville Population: Ponies” Dakota scanned the sign with his mech eye.

“Find any information Dakota?” Leara asked. Dakota nodded.

“It’s a small town apparently there is a war going on.” Dakota said. A look of sadness fell on Leara’s face.

“Let’s see if we can help them.” Leara said heading toward the town. The ponies were withered, hungry, and exhausted. One pony was giving out rations of apples. She was a shade of buttermilk, her mane was styled in two country ponytails held together by red ribbons, and her mane and tail color was a spring green and pink. Her eyes were a soft green. Her cutie mark looked like a rose but where the flower should be there was an apple. Leara gazed at her for a hot minute until Dakota nudged her.

“Hey Leara you okay?” Dakota asked looking concerned. Leara shook her head.

“Yeah I’m okay. Let’s go ask that mare what’s going on.” Leara responded. Dakota smiled and nodded. They headed toward the mare giving out apple rations.

“Oh, howdy there welcome! If you’re here for rations please wait in line if not then please move over so I can continue what these poor ponies need.” She said with a tender yet harsh tone. Leara stepped up.

“We apologize for being in the way, but we have some questions we aren’t exactly from here.” Leara said kindly. The mare sighed.

“Apple Bloom, take care of this while I’m gone!” The mare yelled. Another buttermilk mare showed up with an interesting cutie mark. The cutie mark had a shield with three distinct colors, and apple with a heart inside.

“Okay let me introduce myself. I am Apple Rose, but my friends and family call me Sweetie.” Sweetie said.

“Why do they call you Sweetie?” Dakota asked.

“Because I look like Sweet Apple, she was my great aunt.” Sweetie explained.

“So what do you want to know?” Sweetie asked.
