Lightning Dust's Ascent into Alicornhood

Back in Cloudsdale, a letter suddenly appeared at Lightning's table. It had the royal seal of the two sisters on it. Lightning Dust opened it, hoping it wasn't about that wagon she had crashed a while back.   "Dear Lightning Dust,", the letter began. "My sister and I received your letter about your unicorn horn, and we believe we have the answer. At least, the answer as to what happened to you. We believe you were-and still are- a phenomenonee of a phenomenon called 'Spontaneous Alicorn Phenomenon'. As I am writing this letter, my sister is looking more into this phenomenon in order to find a possible cure. And, as a side note and a precaution, I must warn you. Eventually, this phenomenon will cause you to become similar to-in perspective- a true-born alicorn. This will mean you will gain magical spell-casting abilities, but be warned: this power is dangerous, and without proper magical studies and knowledge, can lead to disaster.         Urgent warnings, Princess Luna."

              "Wow," said Lightning Dust, "She really likes to use the word 'phenomenon' a lot."   Lightning paused, taking in what she just read. "So that means I'll be as strong as Princess Twilight? Or even the sisters?" she wondered out loud. "But Luna did say it would be dangerous."

Lightning Dust paused again, finally beginning to really understand  the predicament she was in.
