Don't Mess with Fluttershy's Mare

While Fluttershy began to head back towards her cottage, Starlight headed back towards Twilight's castle for a quick bite to eat before she started her afternoon study session. As she was heading to the castle a tan colored colt started walking by her. She picked up her pace to get away from him but he picked up his pace as well. She finally got sick of this and asked, "Would you please stop walking beside me?" She became more agitated and continued, "Who are you and what do you want?"

He got in front of her and said, "Hi Starlight."

Starlight sighed, "Hello yourself. Now what is it you want?"

He asked, "Don't you remember me? We were friends before I got my cutie mark."

The very sight of this pony made Starlight want to vomit. She sneered, "Oh, it's you Sunbust. What the hay do you want?"

He replied, "Actually, it's Sunburst."

Starlight asked, "Whatever, look I'm busy right now. What the hay do you want?"

Sunburst replied, "Well I was thinking that maybe we could get some supper tonight and catch up."

Starlight was becoming agitated. She snapped, "You want to catch up. Well here we go. I learned how to steal cutie marks, I ran my own town, I altered Starswirl's time travel spell, I nearly destroyed the time continuum, I became friends with Princess Twilight Sparkle and her friends, one of them I fell in love with and proposed to today and now I'm being annoyed by you." She snorted and sneered, "There, happy?" She began to walk again and continued, "Now will you leave me the hay alone? I have things to do and I am not thrilled you are bothering me."

Once again Sunburst stepped in front of Starlight. He continued, "Starlight, I'm not here to bother you. I don't know if you know this or not but when we were growing up I had a crush on you. I just didn't know how to express it."

Starlight sneered, "Oh isn't that just so adorable and pwecious?" She levitated him out of the way and screamed, "Look, I never saw you like that and again I am going to ask you, would you just leave me the hay alone? I have things to do and just in case you are wondering, I am engaged to the most beautiful mare in the world so I have no desire to have supper with you, or even talk to you for that matter."

He grabbed Starlight's flank and replied, "Look, I just want you to get to know me again and give me a chance."

Starlight slugged him so hard he went flying. She yelled, "Are you stupid or something? I told you I am engaged and if you don't leave me alone, I'll call the cops."

He replied, "Whatever, you haven't seen the last of me. I'll get you to see that I'm better than this dumb mare you claim to love so much."

Now this sent Starlight into a rage. She grabbed him with her aura and slammed him into the ground. She yelled, "What did you say about my fiance? Now leave me alone or I'll do a whole lot more than call the cops."

With as much force as she had used on him all he could do was groan, "Fine."

Starlight got back on her way to the castle but one thing neither one of them knew was that when Fluttershy heard Sunburst begin to bother Starlight, she hid in the bushes and watched everything unfold. It was all she could do to not attack him right then and there but she had other plans, plans that would be brutal and plans that she hoped that Starlight would join her with, plans that Sunburst would not like.

When Starlight returned to the castle she was clearly frustrated. Twilight saw this and asked, "Starlight, what's wrong? Did Fluttershy say no? Did she dump you?"

Starlight replied, "No, she didn't." She began jumping up and down like a schoolfilly and continued, "She said yes! We kissed, held each other close and had the most romantic picnic we ever had!"

Twilight asked, "Then what was with the frustrated look when you got here?"

Starlight replied, "Well on the way back I ran into this pony that just kept pestering me and wouldn't leave me alone, a pony from my past."

Twilight asked, "Who was it? Was it one of the ponies from 'Our Town?'"

Starlight became agitated and replied, "No, it was Sunburst. He decides to just start walking besides me and despite me asking him several times to just leave me alone, he wouldn't do it. He just became more and more assertive in his attempts to talk to me."

Twilight asked, "What did he do? Did he say anything to agitate you to the level you are?"

Starlight snapped, "Yes, he did. He kept on wanting us to meet up for supper when Fluttershy and I already have plans and then he has the audacity to say that he wants me to dump Fluttershy and give him a chance." She stomped her hoof into the floor and yelled, "Then he called Fluttershy dumb, he grabbed my flank and he is saying that I haven't seen the last of him!"

Twilight sighed, "Starlight, I know you're mad but that is no reason to yell at me."

Starlight calmed down and replied, "I'm sorry Twilight. It's just that he can't get it through his head that I'm taken and that I just want to be left alone."

Twilight said, "Well I can understand that." Twilight began to snicker, "Well he better hope that Fluttershy didn't see all this. She would not take kindly to him bothering you and especially him touching your flank."

Starlight was stunned by Twilight's statement and snickering. She asked, "What is the snickering about and what would happen if Fluttershy saw what he did?"

Twilight replied, "Well I've never seen it myself but Applejack and Rarity have told me horror stories about what happens to ponies that really piss off Fluttershy. I don't know what happens to them but they go missing and eventually their corpse is found in the forest not too far away from Fluttershy's cottage."

Starlight smiled and asked, "Do you really think Fluttershy would do something to him? I want him to leave me alone but I could never imagine her hurting anypony."

Twilight replied, "Fluttershy may be the element of kindness but that kindness only goes so far. If what Rarity and Applejack says is true and she saw him bothering you, he is toast." Twilight looked towards the throne room and continued, "Enough of this negative talk. I know you are frustrated but maybe some studying will get your mind off of him bugging you......and please focus on our lesson, not your supper with Fluttershy tonight!"

Starlight nodded and followed Twilight. While she knew that Fluttershy gets mad at ponies who are mean to animals, she just couldn't fathom the sweet, innocent pony she loves so much being the type to harm anypony, much less kill them.
