"Ughh" groaned Kessler as he landed on his bed.

"Hah! Finally! Sleep!" exclaimed Hans as he closed his eyes.

"Jeez, tired already?" asked Victor.

"*yawn, yep" replied Hans.

"Ah, fuck everything else. I'm going for a shower" began Erwin as he grabbed his towel and proceeded towards the bathroom.

"Go right ahead" acknowledged Kessler.

As the squad lazily went to sleep. The two sisters were busy discussing matters in the war room.

"Sister, I heard that our humans have returned victorious?" asked Luna as she walked in.

"Indeed Luna, but that was a risky thing for them. They took on the whole camp and barely escaped with their lives" answered Celestia.

"I don't think they will be doing anything dangerous for the time being. Considering that our forces will be equipped with these so called guns, the humans won't have to do much, but assist us" said Luna.

"True, and once the we end this war. We can send the humans back to their world" replied Celestia.

"*yawn, what time is it?" asked Kessler as he looked around the room.

"7:00" said Hans as he exited the bathroom.

"Well, time to do our exercise" began Kessler as he got out of bed.

"The rest are waiting for you outside the door" informed Hans.

"Wait, what time did they wake up?" asked Kessler.

"Dunno" shrugged Hans.

"Well lets do our daily thing then" began Kessler as he pushed open the doors and went towards the fields.

After their daily exercise was complete the squad had their daily breakfast and usual chat in the dining area.

"Well I'm not sure about you lot, but I'll be going for a walk" informed Kessler as he left the table.

"Eh sure, you know where to find us" said Victor with a mouthful of eggs.

As Kessler made his way out of the door he wandered through the endless halls an was lost in thought. As he rounded a corner he was thinking deeply for the actions he committed last night.

"Was it the right thing too do? Should I even help even though? I said I promise to help them" thought Kessler.

"Arghhh! This is not helping" shouted Kessler in his head.

Kessler was so lost in his thoughts that he didn't notice a lavender pony walking towards him.

"Offff" groaned Twilight a she bumped into a tall being.

"Oh sorry didn't see you there" came the being.

"Its ok its-Ohhh Kessler! Long time no see" said Twilight excitedly as she looked at him.

"Its no problem Twilight" replied Kessler.

"Say, what are you doing around these halls?" she asked.

"Oh just, you know, taking a walk" he replied.

"Well if your feeling lonely, you can always come to me" said Twilight happily.

"Eh thanks for the offer but I'll pass for now. Actually screw it, lets take a walk. What do you say?" asked Kessler a he looked down at the pony.

"Why of course!" replied Twilight.

"Gut"

As the two walked through the halls and out of the castle, they started heading for what seemed to be a park.

"So where do you live?" asked Kessler.

"I live in Ponyville, but my previous home was here in Canterlot" she replied.

"Oh, and do you have any friends around?" he asked.

"Yes, quite a lot actually. But I hardly get to hang out with them since my duties of princess have escalated" she answered.

"Oh that means your alone?"

"No, I have ponies who work with me. And they are my best friends so I'm hardly alone"

"Oh"

"So what about your friends? They seem nice"

"Yeah, they're a rowdy bunch. But in the end I love all like their my brothers"

"Thats a strong bond you got there"

"It is"

"So...do you have a certain somepony?"

"Ehhhh.....nope"

"Why's that?"

"I just don't have the time"

"Surely you must have some time? Right?"

"Yeah I do, but I don't want to dip into love just yet"

"Well, thats something"

"Yeah"

"You should meet my friends sometime"

"If I'm free that is"

"Sure"

"How about now? I'm actually free"

"Well, they're sort of busy at the moment. So I can't deviate them from their duties"

"Ah I see"

"Yep, pretty boring without them"

"Huh"

While the two were busy chatting, news from the front has escalated quickly.

"Princess Luna! The griffons are currently amassing an attack on the northern front as we speak! If we don't hurry, the wall will fall" said the messenger grimly.

"Rally thy troops, send available reinforcements to the front. We must hold them back!" ordered Luna.

"At once your majesty" replied the stallion before running off.

"Captain, I want you to start distributing the new weapons we have to a capable battalion and station them as a last line of defence. These weapons have great range so make sure they provide cover for our troops" informed Luna.

"Yes your highness" said the captain before galloping away.

"Raise the alarms! Put all stations on alert. I want all information coming from the front to be relayed back here" barked Luna.

"Yes your highness!" yelled the workers in the room.

"You there, fetch me Kessler!" ordered Luna at a pegasus who flew as fast as he could out the door.

"Well, war is not a pleasant thing Twilight" said Kessler.

"Do you always fight?" she asked.

"No, but I am always forced too, in order to protect my country and land" replied Kessler.

"Do you enjoy such things?"

"No, well sometimes. If it concerns a law breaker then he deserves no mercy" said Kessler grimly.

Twilight shuddered at the reply, as much a she wanted too. She wouldn't believe they would do such a thing, usually a law breaker here in Equestria will stay in the Canterlot dungeons for a long time, but at the same time treated properly.

"His land must be strict" thought Twilight.

Twilights train of thought was interrupted by a tired pegasus who landed in front of them.

"The princess*huff, request a meeting with the one called Kessler" he informed.

"Well seems like someone is calling me" began Kessler as he got up.

"Well it has been fun learning more about your race" smiled Twilight as she watched him leave.

"If ever you wan't to ask, just stop by my room" yelled Kessler who was already at least 30m away from her.

As Kessler made his way towards the war room, he saw all sorts of stallions running in and out of the war room.

"Something big must've come up" thought Kessler as he entered the room.

"Leutenant Kessler, please. Your assistance is needed" informed Luna.

"What seems to be the problem?" he asked.

"The griffons are launching an all out assault on the northern front in a desperate attempt to launch another attack on Equestria" she replied.

"And what can I do?" he asked.

"We need you to be on standby, even though we have begun sending stallions to the front equipped with these new weapons. I believe that the line won't hold for long, that is why you must act a backup" she answered.

"I see princess, I shall inform my men and we shall move out when ready. But first I must prepare everything in order for us to fully mobilise" he said.

"I understand, but please hurry. We don't know when they'll strike. All we know is that their forces are heading towards the wall as we speak" she replied.

"Will do Princess" he said before leaving the area.

As Kessler fished out his comm set, he radioed the Monitor to start preparing.

"Monitor, begin mobilising. Destination is the northern front, we need to head there as backup and provide support if the line shall fall" Kessler said over the radio.

"Roger, beginning system checks and preparing pods and all available units. Will notify you when ready" it replied.

"Good, make it fast" informed Kessler as he made his way towards the room of his squad.

As Kessler entered the room, he found his members doing all sorts of things but stopped when their leader entered.

"Alright you lot, we got a new mission. Grab your gear and start checking them, this battle were heading in will be a big one since we're going to fight alongside ponies this time and take on a bloody griffon army" informed Kessler.

As the team scrambled towards their things, Hans asked a question.

"Sir, where are we heading too?"

"Towards the northern front, hurry up! We don't have much time left to mobilise" barked Kessler.

As the squad moved quickly about their things, in less than 5 minutes everyone was ready with all their things packed and ready to move out.

"Alright, lets go" began Kessler as he exited the room with his squad.

"This is odd" thought the Monitor as it ran its diagnostics test.

"This shouldn't be happening, everything should be fine, maybe its just a glitch" thought the Monitor as it kept tabs on its power core for the increasing rise in the unknown energy.
