3rd P.O.V.

"Nightbeam, are you sure it's a good idea to go there?" A cloak covered most of the pony, only showing the tip of her horn. A glowing, red star necklace adorned her neck, and a little doll stuck out of her knapsack. "I don't think that place will accept us." Suddenly, some pony squeaked as she crashed into her. Flipping the pony over, a green aura sparked from her horn as her hood fell down, revealing a red mane with a streak of dark purple. The yellow pony cowered in fear as the aura lifted her up by the tail, and the dark green eyes ingested the sight of the long pink mane, and the butterfly cutie mark.

"Please don't kill me!" She yelped, and the pony relaxed, allowing the cloak to cover one side of her flank. It revealed her black coat, and blood moon cutie mark. Letting the pegasus down, she blinked.

"I'm not trying to kill you. It was self-defense." She spoke again, monotonously. Fluttershy shuddered at her tone, more scared than before. But she was an Element of Harmony, and it was plainly clear that this newcomer was an OC. She had already met Blazefire, a griffin/bat pony hybrid. Why should she be scared of a monotone... Painless... Unemotional- She squeaked at her thoughts, wishing she had Rainbow with her. It was torture as her mind played out every possibility that this pony might be able to do.

However, the mare just stood there, glancing at Fluttershy. She seemed to converge in a silent conversation with a doll before holding out her hoof. Fluttershy cautiously took up the offer, and was startled a bit by the strength of the pony. Calm yourself, Fluttershy. Calm. She let out a breath and looked at the pony. She had a mid-length, choppy mane style, and Fluttershy immediately could tell that Rarity would faint if she saw it. Closing her eyes, she counted to 5 before looking at the pony again. "Would you like to come with me to Ponyville?" She offered, and started to walk towards her. Fluttershy was surprised that her legs hadn't turned to jelly.

The mare, however, stepped back. Green eyes glinting, it seemed to scream, 'Don't come any closer before I kill you!' So Fluttershy decided it would be best to step away and go home. But as she fly home, she noticed on the ground, the odd pony following her. She landed on the ground in front of the pony. "My name is Fluttershy." She held her hoof out.

"Eclipse."

Eclipse's P.O.V.

'Follow her! Then knock her out~ It'll be fun!'

'No, Darklight. Eclipse, be friends with her, then take her stuff and run!'

'What the hell, Starglow? No! This mare is offering us a way to work!'

'Eclipse. Leave this Fluttershy, now.' Nightbeam. Of course.

"All of you, shut up." I spoke back to Nightbeam, earning myself an odd glance from Fluttershy. Whispering, I spoke to him again. "I'm going with Shadow's idea, I just want to work so I don't starve." We approached the exit of the forest and I had to close my eyes for a second to adjust to the bright colors of Ponyville.

"Here we are! Ponyville. Say, what are you here for anyway?" Fluttershy spoke, eyes glimmering with curiosity.

'Quick! Knock her out while we have the chance! She might tell everyone about you!' Nightbeam's voice rang through my head, and I had to admit. That was a good reason, so I did it. Using my magic, I took my Necromancy book and slammed it against Fluttershy's head. Her eyes held the feel of betrayal before closing.

I glanced at my worker's card. Apparently, I was supposed to be helping some pony with the newspaper, then bucking apples, and then baking cakes. All this would provide me with more bits than I could chew. Oh well. "Where do I go now, Nightbeam?" As usual, Nightbeam's voice echoed throughout my mind.

'Start working! And avoid that Fluttershy.'

"Okay then, Nightbeam."

And we were off.

3rd P.O.V.

She whimpered as Twilight held her. "She... She knocked me out with a giant book!" The little pegasus wailed as the Princess hugged her tighter.

"Who is she, Fluttershy? I need to know who she is." Twilight reassured, trying to ease her friend's tension.

"Yes, do tell. I think I need to 'talk' to her." Discord's voice approached them as the girls looked up and stared into the face of an angry draconequus.

"Discord... Don't hurt her." Both the dragon and the princess whipped their heads around to look at Fluttershy, who had gotten onto her shaky knees. "I want to talk to her. She seemed worried when I asked her about what she was doing here." Glancing at Twilight for a second, she scuffed the grass. Twilight sighed and nodded.

"I'll go to my archives and see what's happening." Fluttershy brightened, then scrunched up her face. "Wait, Twilight! I remember." The alicorn turned, not used to her friend raising her voice above whisper level. "The book she hit me with... It was a necromancy book!" Twilight Sparkle gasped. Necromancy? She might have to take this to Celestia. But if it was dark magic... She could definitely trace the aura. It was time for a hunt.

Twilight Sparkle traced the magical residue to many houses, each of the owners carrying a mouthful of mail, so she couldn't ask them. After searching many houses, she came to the conclusion that the pony must be working at the post office. So she waited for the entire day. No pony that looked odd came through the door. She saw Derpy eating her muffins in the backroom, and trotted over, hoping for some answers. Derpy nodded. "I just paid a mare for helping me with my mail!" She giggled and went back to her muffins. Twilight frowned. A pony with necromancy magic, delivering mail? She shook her head and continued on her adventure to find this mysterious pony.

"Applejack?" Twilight's questioning voice echoed throughout the apple fields and the orange mare suddenly stood by her side, stretching her legs.

"Yes, Twilight?"

She jumped slightly, crashing into a tree. Calming down and removing twigs from her mane, Twilight spoke in a questioning tone. "I've been looking for a new OC, she seems to be working here."

Her friend's green eyes brightened. "Ah, yes. I had somepony here. Didn't talk much, but was a darn tootin' good worker. Bucked all apple trees in half the time because of her."

Twilight's confusion only worsened. "She didn't... attack you? Nothing?" Applejack shook her head. "Say, why'da want ta know?"

Twilight shook her head. "Do you know where she went?" Applejack nodded this time.

"Yeah. Went and head on o'er to the inn. She went that'a way after the trees were clear." Twilight nodded her thanks and started to walk over when she stopped. "Hey, you know what she looks like? And her name?"

After constant interrogation, she found out that she was looking for a unicorn mare with a black cloak and wore a shiny, red star necklace. Apparently you can buck apples in that apparel... Her frown only deepened when she realized that this pony was a migrant worker, and that she might be somepony that curses towns. Hurrying to the inn, she half expected to hear screaming. Instead, she heard a soft and unfamiliar voice come through one of the doors.

"Nightbeam, I know it's an alicorn. I don't want to hurt an alicorn, they may kill me. ... ... ... Very well. I will go confront them." The door swung open, revealing a unicorn, her horn aglow and holding a demonic version of Twilight's Smartypants doll.

"Hello, Twilight Sparkle. You cross paths with us, you better hope you aren’t a threat." Twilight took in her appearance, slightly shivering from the words and the glare the pony sent her.

Twilight warily glanced at the pony before bursting into question. "Hello, Eclipse. How are you? Do you want to take over the town? Why are you here? Why did you knock out Fluttershy?" The pony only glanced at her doll.

When 'Eclipse' spoke, Twilight didn't know who she was talking to at all. It wasn't her... So was it the doll? "I agree. She is quite talkative, but I believe it's for the safety of her town. Why would you want to take over Ponyville? We are guests here. Nightbeam, that's not nice. ... ... ... Nightbeam, apologize to your brother." Twilight blinked. Who was this pony? What were they doing here? And why... Were they talking to their doll? Focusing, she saw faint pink sparks fall to the ground as she looked into the magical residue of the doll and managed to obtain the traces of three demons talking to the mare.

And a small grin formed on her face as she summon a quill and parchment. Time to take notes.

Eclipse's P.O.V.

I watched with Nightbeam as she pulled out a quill and parchment from nowhere, looking eager to start writing.

'Let her in, Eclipse.' As usual, I let Nightbeam take over me and he gestured her inside. The princess seemed wary of me, and made a point of showing so by moving quickly around me, as if I contained a disease.

"What do you want to know first?" I asked, as I pulled up two chairs for us to sit in.

Twilight's eyes seemed to spark to life, and all I heard was a blur. Raising a hoof, I raised an eyebrow. "Slower, please. And one question at a time."

She took a breath, then smiled. "Why do you have a book of necromancy in your hold?" Out of all the questions, Nightbeam and I didn't expect this. So Nightbeam spoke to me, and I repeated the words.

"He the demon that possesses my doll, Nightbeam. He was given to me by the family when they abandoned me, leaving us for the dead." Twilight dropped everything and hopped out of the chair, her horn aglow. I also jumped up and quickly raised my green aura, holding items such as tables, together as a shield.

"Why do you allow demons to talk you? Are you not afraid?" Rolling my eyes, I spoke through the wall. "Gee, I LOVE talking to demons. They have nice voices, like hooves on a chalkboard." She muttered profanity before destroying my wall of items, leaving me defenseless.

"Back to my original question. Why do you have-" I rolled my eyes. "I found the stupid book in Celestia's library. Happy?" She frowned. Glancing at the time, I scowled. Right now, I should be reading a story with Nightbeam, with him teaching me new words.

I bit back remarks and spoke to her. "Listen, princess. I have to go to bed now, Nightbeam's supposed to be reading me a story to help me read. Listen, I'm working at someplace called Sugarcube Corner tomorrow, you can go interrogate me there. Right now, get out." I opened the door, glaring at her. She flinched and I felt Nightbeam smirk. When she didn't move, I raised my voice. Something I usually don't do, but right now I feel trespassed. "OUT!" And then she flew out.

***

"Nightbeam, how come the other two pigs didn't build their house with bricks?"

'Because they were foolish and didn't want to do work, so they became lazy.' His voice was soothing, lulling me to sleep. I yawned.

'It's time for bed, Eclipse. Good night.'

I shut my eyes. "Good night, Nightbeam."

3rd P.O.V.

Fluttershy, Discord, and Twilight unknowingly smiled as they watched the interaction between the doll and the mare. Fluttershy was giggling as Discord begrudgingly admitted defeat to Twilight, who had opposed of killing or sending Eclipse to another dimension. Then Fluttershy let out a squeak, that the other two immediately translated to a yawn. Discord stretched his long back.

"I suppose all of us need our sleep now." Twilight softly smiled. She yawned. "I guess I'll take some notes tomorrow." And with that, Ponyville's last light was extinguished, and the town fell into a deep slumber as Luna walked among their dreams.
