The Tale of Jad Omega
Chapter 2 - Breaking the Onyx
Previous ChapterNext ChapterBlood dripped off the patients table as I turned around to clean my knife off. Onyx's sharp, short gasps filled the room. After cleaning my knife I turned to examine Onyx. He was covered in sweat and blood. His mane was tattered and clotted, his lips were blood-stained and cracked, and his chest had been slit open. Almost as if a doctor had performed surgery just a few minutes ago. "So tell me, Onyx. Are you beginning to regret what you did"? I asked the severely wounded stallion. He struggled to breathe, but managed to speak a few words with little blood coming out of his mouth. "If I s-say no...you're going to kill me...aren't you..."? "No, Onyx." I replied. "My job isn't to kill. I would get in trouble for that. My job is to make you suffer in agony until you regret what you've done".
The stallion sat in silence for a few minutes before working up the strength to take another breath. "You're right...I hate myself. What I did was wrong. What I did was...it was horrible...". I smiled a bit. Not a smile a joy, but a smile of knowing I'm finally getting through to breaking his spirit. After I break his spirit, all I'll need to do next is break his mind. "I don't think you're being sincere. I think you're just lying to me to get me to stop". After hearing what I said the stallion seemed to stiffen up. "N-no! I'm being serious! I regret it! I r-really do!" he screamed. A small chuckle escaped me. I couldn't help myself. It's very seldom that I let myself laugh, but I always find it amusing when somepony tries to trick me. It's useless, they'll never succeed.
"It's not nice to lie, Onyx." I said, murderously calm. "T-trust me! I'm not lying! I hate m-myself! I WANT you to k-kill me! Please! End my s-suffering!" he screamed. Onyx had started to cry. I broke him. Tears began to trickle down his cheek from beneath his blindfold. We sat in silence as I let him cry to get it out of his system. After a few minutes, he slowly began to calm himself down. "No" I said, blankly. I continued, calmly "I'm not going to kill you. I'm going to let you live. I'm going to let you live every-day of your life knowing what pathetic, filthy, and vile scum you are". Onyx seemed to be trying to hold back sobs. His teeth were clenched together, and his body was stiff. I leaned in close and spoke softly "You don't deserve to die. You don't deserve that blessing".
I grabbed a needle and thread and began to sow up Onyx's chest. It was a lot deeper than expected, luckily it didn't damage any internal organs. With each stitch he let out a soft whimper of pain. He was trying to act tough, like it didn't hurt, but I knew it was nothing but pure agony to him. After finishing up the stitches I set everything aside and stood next to his table, silent. "W-what are you doing to do now?" Onyx asked. I took off his blindfold and let him look around the large and dark room. His eyes were wide, puffy, and bloodshot. As his eyes adjusted to the darkness he asked me "What was that for"? I replied "This is the last time you'll ever be in my office if you behave. You might as well get a last look". Onyx opened his mouth to respond but no words came out.
I walked over to my desk and pushed a button to tell the collectors to come to my office. They're called "Collectors" because they collect the broken, bruised, and dead bodies that are around the facility. Few of them are brave enough to come up the long flight of stairs to my office. I walked back over to Onyx and grinned. "You're getting out of here. But I forgot to do one last thing". The stallion stiffened up. "W-what's that?" he asked. I took my knife and used the tip to carve the shape of an Omega into Onyx's chest. With each turn he screamed in pain until I finally completed my version of art. He spoke through clinched teeth, "What w-was that FOR"? I smiled a small bit and leaned in. "Just something to remember me by if you survive this place. Now get the fuck out of my office".
