Equestria Girls: The Atlas Chronicles

Atlas and Sunset Shimmer spent the whole weekend together. Sunset Shimmer wanted to try to get Atlas to trust her by showing him how life in her world works. She introduced cellular phones, cars, TVs, video games, and anything else that Atlas was not familiar with back from wherever he came from. Sunset bought him some new clothes due to his old ones being too dirty and tattered to wear anymore and she also gave him a proper bath. She also bought him some toys to play with and a cellular phone of his own and taught him how to use it.

Sunset did a few tests on him as well such as seeing if he could read, write, and calculate math. He did all of these very well. Throughout the whole time Sunset enjoyed acting like a caring older sister/ mother towards him and would even read stories to him at night. She also took him to a doctor for a checkup. Luckily, nothing of his was broken. He did get more treatment on his gash. Then came Monday, which is when she would have to introduce the Canterlot High School principles to Atlas and see what see what they can do to help.

"Alright Atlas. Today, we are going to see the principles and have them help us with your situation. Is that okay with you?" Said Sunset.

"Umm...ok..." Said Atlas.

They both got ready for the day and start driving to Canterlot High School. While driving, Sunset notices Atlas picking at the white patch that was covering his eye. She taps his hand to get him to stop.

"Atlas, don't pick at your injury. It might get infected," said Sunset.

"But it itches," said Atlas

"Just scratch it very gently and it will stop itching, but don't pick at it," said Sunset.

"Alright," said Atlas.

Once Sunset and Atlas got to the high school, they went directly to Principle Celestia's office.

"Atlas, be a sweetie and wait out here for a moment. I will call you inside in a few minutes, alright?" Sunset said.

"Yes, Sunset." said Atlas.

Sunset Shimmer knocks on the office door and hears a female voice. "Come in!" shes says. Sunset Shimmer goes inside and closes the door behind her. Atlas sits down on a chair outside of the office and brings out the smart phone Sunset got for him. He starts playing a game app called  "Super Robot Unicorn". He thought it was a fun to see a robotic unicorn run and blow stuff up by a single touch of a screen. Whenever he plays this game he keeps wishing he would see a robotic unicorn in real life. That sounded pretty cool to him.

Meanwhile, Sunset Shimmer and Principles Celestia and Luna talk about Atlas' situation.

"....So you see Ms. Celestia and Ms. Luna, I found him sleeping on one of the school benches outside a couple of nights ago and I was wondering if you could do anything that could help him, maybe help find out who he is. I think he might be a magical being." Said Sunset.

"I am afraid that might be difficult. If he is a magical being from another world and not ours, there isn't much we can do. If he is from our world, we can check school records and see if his name pops up anywhere. If it does, we may have to call a special service to come take him off your hands. It would probably be for the best. But if he is a magical being, what should we do and how are you so sure he is magical?" Said Ms. Luna

"While he slept on the bench, one of his eyes had opened a bit, revealing a gold glow. I have never seen anybody from this world do that. If he is a magical being, then I will take care of him until I find a way to bring him back to his home world. Even if it takes forever!" Said Sunset.

"Are you sure you are cut out for that type of responsibility, Sunset?" Said Ms. Celestia.

"I think that would be better for him if he is a magic being. If a special service comes and takes him, what if he reveals his magic? Government officials might take him away, perform experiments on him, and probably never let him go. The school may have huge knowledge on magic, but what about the rest the world? Who knows what kind of experiments they would perform on him at those testing facilities!" Sunset said with concern. Both Principles had worried faces after she said that.

"Well, you may be right on both things, Sunset. I am looking up School records from both this district and other districts as well right now and there is nobody here with the name "Atlas" on it. I guess he could be from another world." Said Ms. Luna.

"Sunset, May I please ask what condition was he in when you found him?" Ms. Celestia asked.

"Not very good. He was suffering from starvation for more than a week. He spent many nights out in the freezing cold, and he was also battered  from a mugging he endured a few nights ago. Luckily for him, his injuries were only a little severe, only getting a bloody gash on his head and a black eye. I believe he kept himself hydrated by consuming the winter snow. I think it was pure luck that i found him." Said Sunset.

"Oh dear! How is he right now?" Asked Ms. Luna.

"I believe he is doing a little better now, but a little traumatized by the mugging. It has become difficult for him to trust anybody from this world after that incident. Whenever he thinks about that mugging incident, he just starts crying. I sing to him to make him feel better, and it does seem to work. I fed him a lot of food, so he is no longer under any form of starvation. Although, he still has a few bruises from that awful mugging." Said Sunset

"Is it okay if we can see him, Sunset?" Ms. Celestia asked.

"Of course you can!" Sunset opens the door and calls for Atlas. "Atlas! Please come in and and meet the Principles!" Atlas came inside the office.

"Hello Atlas! It is a pleasure to meet you!" said Ms. Celestia. Atlas didn't say anything back. Instead, he hid behind Sunset Shimmer.

"It is alright Atlas! They're both nice people. They won't hurt you," said Sunset. Atlas continued to stay hidden behind her.

"Hmmm.... Are you sure he doesn't need a doctor, Sunset?" asked Ms. Luna.

"And shouldn't we be reporting this mugging incident to the police?" asked Ms. Celestia.

"Don't worry! I already took him to a doctor. He did get hit in the head with something hard, but not much else of him was broken. And as for the police, no. I don't want him to be revealed to the world yet," said Sunset.

"If you say so..." said Ms Luna.

"Sunset, you must realize that you are not at a legal age to take care of a minor. But, I may have a solution for that," said Ms. Celestia.

"What kind of solution?" Sunset asked.

"Me and my sister can be your supervisors, make sure that you are a good influence on him. What do you think about that, Luna?" said Ms Celestia.

"Sounds good to me!" said Ms Luna.

Sunset smiled. "I also think that is a good solution. But what about education? Can he start school here?."

"Hmmm...I think that is too short of notice right now. He can start in a couple weeks when Christmas break ends. Until then I suggest you teach him the basics at whatever chance you get," said Ms. Celestia.

"Indeed I will. Thank you for helping me Ms Celestia and Ms Luna," said Sunset.

"It is our pleasure. But who will watch Atlas if you're in class?" said Ms Celestia.

"He can come with me to all my classes until break, if that is alright with you," said Sunset.

"I don't see any problem in that. I will allow it. I will make a call to your teachers and let them know about this," said Ms Celestia.

"Alright! You both have a nice day then! Bye!" said Sunset. She and Atlas leave the office and head to class.

"Sunset, what is going to happen to me now?" Atlas asked.

"Nothing bad. From now on I will take care of you," said Sunset.

"Like a mother?" Atlas asked.

"Sort of. More like an older sister or a babysitter. Alright?"

Atlas smiled and hugged her. "Okay!" he said. Sunset smiled and gave him a hug back.

Taking classes and watching Atlas was very easy for Sunset Shimmer. He never seemed to annoy her during class time. He would always be quiet enough to act like he was never there. All Atlas does in class is just use his cellphone to play games or watch videos on the Pony Tube app. Sunset gave him headphones for the noise so he wouldn't disturb the class. He would only disturb Sunset Shimmer for things such as water or needing to use the bathroom. Sunset would sometimes show Atlas how she does her work in class because he does have to learn something.

After a couple of classes, lunch starts. Atlas and Sunset head to the cafeteria to get food and meet with the Rainbooms.

"You hungry, Atlas?" Sunset said. Atlas' tummy rumbled and he nodded his head.

"Alright little guy! Lets get something to eat," She said. They both got in line to get food. Sunset chooses a sandwich and fruit salad, but Atlas did not know what to choose since this world was still new to him. The only thing he found that was familiar was the pizza and fruit salad, so he chose that. Sunset paid for both of their foods and they started searching for their table.

"Yoohoo! Sunset! Over here!" It was Pinkie Pie and she was waving her arm very fast to get their attention. Atlas and Sunset see her and walk to their table.

"Hey everyone! I would like you to meet a new member of our table, Atlas!" Sunset said.

"HIIIIII Atlas! I'm Pinkie Pie!" Pinkie said. She picked up Atlas and gave him a spine crushing hug.

"Woah Pinkie! Be careful with him. He is already hurt from the mugging," Sunset said with concern.

"Oops, sorry," said Pinkie. she eases her hugging on Atlas and soon puts him down.

"Atlas, I want you to meet my friends! That girl you just got hugged by was Pinkie! Over there is Rainbow Dash, Twilight, Rarity, Fluttershy, and Applejack! I think you will like all of them!" said Sunset. Atlas gave them all a shy wave.

"So Sunset, What did the principles say about Atlas?" Rainbow asked.

"They couldn't find any information about him. So from now on I will be taking care of this little guy," Sunset said.

"Are yah sure you can handle something like that, Sugarcube? I raise a little sister that is the same age as him. Even with the help of granny Smith and Big Mac, it still isn't easy," said Applejack.

"Applejack has a good point darling! I may love Sweetie Belle, but I must admit, she can be a hassle as well," said Rarity.

"I can definitely handle it! Besides, who else is going to watch after him, a possible magical being? Trust me, he is going to be easy to take care of...I hope. All I have to do is help him get his memory back. Once he remembers where he came from, we can help send him back to his home world," said Sunset.

"That's easier said than done, darling! How do you suppose we get his memory back and send him back to his home world? We can't just snap our fingers and make it happen," said Rarity.

"To be honest, I don't know, but we should try our best to make it possible. If we don't, then I will still continue to raise him. I will be his new big sister. I don't care how hard it will be. Besides, I have faced more difficult things than raising a little boy," said Sunset.

"I think I have an idea on getting his memory back. We could just get a heavy object and hit him on the head with it. That is how they do it in the movies, " Rainbow suggested. Atlas whimpered and covered his head in fear once he heard that. Sunset wrapped her arms around him and gave Rainbow a face of disapproval.

"Rainbow! We are trying to help him, not hurt him!" said Sunset. The others started looking at Rainbow Dash with faces of disapproval as well.

"Yeesh! I was only kidding! Sorry!" said Rainbow

"Well Sugarcube, I hope we do find a way to help him. Even if we don't find a way, he will always be welcome here," said Applejack as she pats Atlas on the head, making him feel better.

After school ended, Sunset and Atlas headed home. While driving, Sunset Shimmer noticed a sad look on Atlas' face.

"Atlas, is everything alright? You look a little down." she asked.

"I don't want to talk about it...."  said Atlas.

"I know what will cheer you up. How about we grab an a milk shake from Sugar Cube Corner?"

Atlas smiled and clapped his hands in excitement. "Yay! Ice cream!!!" he said. They  started heading downtown to Sugar Cube Corner. Once there, they made their milkshakes to go and headed back home. While at home Sunset decided to get some homework done and Atlas watched TV while slurping his milkshake. The only TV show Atlas knew for right now was called Power Teens. A group of teenage girls who have super powers and try to defend a fictional city called Maretropolis from the evil villain The Mane-iac. The episode he was watching was an hour long special.

In this hour long episode, the Power Teens get their powers stolen by the Mane-iac with a special ray gun that she invented. Without their powers, the Power Teens don't stand much of a chance against her or her henchmen. They end up getting captured by the Mane-iac and try to figure out how to escape and get their powers back. The teens trick a couple of guards into fighting each other by whispering insults at them, pretending that the guards were insulting each other. During the fight the guards knock each other out close to the Power Teens cell and the teens take the keys from the guards pockets. The Power Teens search for their powers throughout the Mane-iac's hideout and find a machine that is holding on to their powers. The Mane-iac and her henchmen discover the Power Teens near the machine and try to re-capture them. Fortunately, the Mane-iac slips on a spilled bottle of hair shampoo and crashes into the machine, releasing the Power Teen's powers. They use their powers to defeat the Mane-iac and her henchmen.

"Great work, girls! Now that the Mane-iac has been defeated, Maretropolis is saved once again!" Says the Masked Matterhorn, with other girls cheering for a job well done!

More episodes of the Power Teens came on and Atlas continued to watch until it was time to get ready for bed. Once he is ready for bed, Sunset reads a book to him called "Daring Do and the Quest for the Sapphire Stone!" It soon became one of his favorite books. Once Sunset finishes reading, she tucks Atlas in bed.

"Sweet dreams, little guy," said Sunset. She kisses him on the forehead, turns off the light, and goes to sleep. Atlas smiled and wrapped his arms around her and started sleeping. He liked being in the same bed with Sunset. It made him feel safe.
