Chapter 2: The Night Of Searching

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

It's been a couple of days since you had the encounter and the peculiar dream. You've stayed in your room researching upon any mythical creatures that resembled a winged horse with a horn, wearing armour and can speak. As much as that alone would sound odd to anyone who were to go on your computer, it didn't bother you.

All you could rummage was old depictions of Pegasi or Unicorns from either artists or from RPG games. But you then tried to remember the name that the Alicorn addressed herself that night. You sat at your seat pondering.

'Nightmare Moon?...yeah I think that was it!'

You searched the name into Google, upon result you found that it links to a cartoon show. That of course revolved around a group of coloured ponies. You read summaries of the show, but it wasn't enough or exactly what you were looking for. When you weren't searching up the Alicorn you would play some games on your Playstation 4 or on Youtube. But even with those hobbies in mind, there was a part of you wanting to figure out more about the black coated creature: Even though you were certain that death was waiting for you surely.

You looked at your desktops time. It's currently six thirty-five in the evening. At the start of winter, December unfortunately the snow hadn't kicked in yet but evenings got darker earlier. It was practically dark already, even the full moon was out.

"Wow! Looks nice out," you addressed to yourself with a smile. The moon was a particular themed interest: You enjoyed daylight but when it came down to observing and enjoyment, the moon was your calling ever since you could remember.

The moon was fully clear with no cloud in sight. The glimmering light made it attract your eyes even more. You stared at it for a couple of minutes to get your eyes to see a light spiritual blue aura effect around the body; as if it was glowing even brighter but in a more beautiful scale. You sat at your desk enjoying the view.

'It's rare to see the moon THAT full.' you thought peacefully.

Then something flickered. Just for a few seconds, the moon displayed something resembling a unicorns head a small empty space for one of her eyes visible.

But as you were enjoying yourself, something was telling you to go back to that spot and possibly meet with the Alicorn once again but have a plan. So after you got dressed, you grab your backpack: put your camcorder inside and went back to where it started.

After a long cold walk up to the forest, you enter. You head inside the oak bodied domain again but not as blind as you were. With the assistance of your phones light yet again. It was a much easier tread along, much drier and fluent in motion this time.

There it was, the very same spot from the encounter and from your dreams. The cliff was still person/creature free.

"Alright, I guess now I just wait..." you assume to yourself as you start to gaze upon the full moon.

The wind's weaker then it was last time. The moon glistened with power and displayed like a piece of art for all the people of the city to notice. You crouched to take your bag off to get out your camera. Luckily it has night vision built in. You then press record.

Your hands hold the camera in-front of you and focus at the special white sphere of night.

"Okay. Hello everyone, I'm documenting on a abnormal discovery that I came across a couple of nights ago. I might have made first contact with alien life. The said alien, looks like a...Unicorn with wings or known as a Alicorn, from what it told me, the first time I saw it," you begin while looking at the view finder of the camera. "The creature went by the name of Nightmare Moon. I know this all sounds ridiculous but believe me when I say, this thing is real. I was given a sign; in my dream, to come back here for some reason. Days later this shows up on the moon which was ALSO in my dream. This is not a normal moon activity...from what I...very little know," you admit shamefully. "It possesses what seems to be, from games and movies, magic powers. Like Harry Potter only with Alicorns. The only pieces of lore I could find, were a cartoon show called 'My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic' but I doubt it'd relate to the thing I saw the first time."

You take a moment to breath and turn the camera to your face with it a good distance away. "The thing I saw was the reapers steed, eyes like a beast and had power of a demon," your hands begin to shake slightly from memorizing the moment of pure darkness that opened your eyes to the bigger world above. "It's plans were to somewhat conquer the world. But not our world, a world called Equestria. But she might come back to take our world by herself or perhaps with an army. The reason I'm recording this is to...maybe somehow prove to my friend Nikki I'm not a liar and maybe to help people believe there's life above ours. Heck, maybe we can even try to understand these creatures and there way of living," you admit shyly to the camera. You never had it easy talk about things, especially subjects of life and what's beyond. All around, you were more on the introvert side then anything. Even around your friends, you still hid the person you are.

Around you, the wind begins to pick up and the branches began to shake with the leaves beginning to fall. The sound of the cold wind almost resembles a wolf howling to the moon. The windy atmosphere was then accompanied with a low pitched warping sound.

You quickly face the camera towards the moon again. It was glowing as bright as a candle while looking very warped from your perspective. Fast barrages of lightning started to form in-front of you, the charges were merging together a ball of pure energy while almost looking like its moving to you.

Your legs are locked in place as you stare deeply into the sparking ball of light. Your eyes widened with shock and curiosity, the skin of your back neck began to tingle and run cold.

'I should probably move!'

But before you could even move an inch, the ball in the sky moves towards you while it shrinks instantaneously to then explode near you. Not killing you but giving you decent amount of impact on you to send you flying, slamming your head on a large log on its side.

A ringing was blasting in your ears with your vision blurring. Your body has lost all sensation and control; your arms lay dead on the grass, luckily the camera was still on your right hand thanks to not just your gripping but built in strap. You tried to move but the knock on your head temporarily immobilized you.

While you can still barely see, a being slowly approaches you. All you could see to stand out in your fuzzy vision was a particular colour before passing out.

Blue.

'Am I dead? Or is whatever that was going to kill me?'
