Chapter 2.5: Dream Space II

"Okay! That could've gone better," you say to yourself for only you to discover, you're still asleep.

You were in a dimension of pure blackness and fog. Much like the last time, it was empty. But this time you were stuck laying on the ground, sitting up. Almost like the position your body currently is.

But a question still lingers within you. Are you truly alone or is there something you're not seeing.

You grunt as you try to get up. Its as if you're entire body was numb and completely dead.

"Is this purgatory or is this a dream?" you wonder to yourself.

"Don't worry it's a dream," said a familiar voice from around you. New footsteps could be heard echoing around you.

You slightly jump from the sound of the person, but only a little due to the familiarity of it. It was your voice.

"Wait...even in my dreams that doesn't make sense...how can there be t-"

"Well it's not a dream OR a nightmare. It's like the grey area. I'm basically what you'd say: your subconscious," he began. "I tried to talk to you last time but you were already gone before I could get a hold on you."

The other you lowers down to your level. Sitting across from you. You share an awkward stare with yourself. It's nothing like looking at your reflection. Because when you looked around, the other you still focused on you: you could feel his eyes were on you.

"No offence but this is pretty w-"

"Weird? I know. Don't worry about that, what you should be worrying about is what's out there when you wake up," your other self notes down to you. "You just got wacked with an explosion and passed out. In the middle of the forest. In the middle of the night."

"Oh yeah! How am I going to wake up?!"

"Well, I'm sure your fears can do that. Once the sight of fear comes in, you'll be waking up in no time," your double answers as he gets up and walks away from you and to be barely visible from your sight. "It's gonna suck, but it'll get you back in gear, trust me...I mean yourself."

You just click on to what your other half said. "Hey! W-what did you mean by that?" you shout to him, but he was already gone. Blending with the night itself.

You grow more concerned with your surroundings. As your eyes scatter around the room, you notice something alarming.

The darkened walls were moving towards you. The lighting in the area was turning gloomy. Every second the darkness around you was closing in on you, your body couldn't get up still. You were practically pinned to the ground at this point.

"Okay...other me? Get me out of here! Help! HELP!" you let out as you furiously try to struggle from the invisible grip. When it got close enough, you could see the darkness was spewing a fog like substance. It almost formed like long bony hands with extending digits for fingers. Little voices started filling the room, some sound young while other sound more mature. They were murmurs but you could tell they were talking about you.

This only made your heart race quicker in fear. Your breath has quickened much quicker than before. You could see some of the hands scratch the floor beneath you, leaving scratch marks and creating screeches from hell.

Just by your feet you could see thin lines of darken smoke wrap its way to your feet. The sensation was cold, like bad winter day. The sensation was now slowly crawling upwards to you.

"HELP! HELP! GET ME OUT!" you screamed in fear, trying to squirm free.

Just as you demanded, a ball light ignites. Casting the darkness away and leaving you blinded by a white light.

You find yourself back in the forest. Just as the way you were. Only to look in-front of you, to find a Alicorn with the mane colour of sapphire blue, staring right at you.

'This CANNOT get any weirder.'
