A Moon Full Experience
Chapter 3: A Night To Start It Off
Previous ChapterNext ChapterYou remain laying on your back. Staring back at the newly formed being. Now this Alicorn before you was more peaceful looking.
The black coat she once had was now shade of dark blue. Her manes colour was a stronger tone of blue. Her eyes remained the same cyan colour but weren't filled with mischief or darkness.
She was standing right in-front of you, looking at you with curiosity.
Her horn was glowing at the tip. The once blinding light was dying down to a simple flicker of light; almost the same power of a simple torch.
'Is this...Nightmare Moon? Or...am I seeing things,' you wonder inside as you kept your eyes fixated on her. Not just for her colour contrast, but for any sudden moves she might pull.
"Are thou the one from before?" she asks while leaning her head forward.
You could feel her eyes judging you, inspecting you. Your heart beats a tad quicker from her question. You weren't sure how to answer that question. Talking to someone new was already a task, but this was a little more than average.
"Y-yes? You're Nightmare Moon, right?" you ask to make sure. While staying in your uncomfortable position of your neck pinned to a log.
The blue Alicorn closed her eyes in regret. You slightly flinch at the arms for the worse to come.
"We did not mean any harm. We were not entirely there," she answers vaguely in regret as she raises her head.
You could see she was upset over what happened before hand. But something in your head was saying to keep guard, incase it was a trick.
'We? Is she not Nightmare Moon? I'll work up to those questions,' you wonder to yourself while slowly sitting up.
"The pony thou saw, was us on the path of...darkness. We were not ourselves," she sadly tells you. "We are not Nightmare Moon."
"Then who am I talking to right now?"
She opens her eyes to you before introducing herself. "Thou may address us as, Princess Luna...or Luna if thou would prefer. What about thee?"
You address yourself clearly.
"So, Princess Luna. Where exactly did you come from?" you ask carefully while clasping your hands together. You aren't as nervous when you were with Nightmare Moon, but you were just unsure still about this Alicorn.
"That differs, does thou mean previously from our last encounter or from our beginning?" she asks for clearance.
'Okay didn't expect that of all things,' you say in mind before answering.
"Well, where were you wh- I mean, when Nightmare Moon met me?" you ask. You changed the structure to help Luna not feel guilty of her previous actions. Because to you, technically it was Nightmare Moon who you met first.
Her expression sunken to a frown while looking at the moon above the two of you.
"We were...on the moon. Banished there for a thousand years, the night we first met; that specific day was a chance for us to escape. But we somehow wound up in your realm instead of Equestria."
'Banished?'
"Why were you...banished?"
"That was a long time ago. We were misguided, misguided by jealousy," she answers vaguely.
"If you don't want to talk about it I understand," you say to her giving her a caring smile.
She herself exchanged a small smile.
"Well...where did you come from? This land Equestria? Are there more of your kind?" you ask curiously while climbing onto the log to sit.
"Why of course, but there are not many Alicorns. There are only my sister and..." she reminisces sadly when she brought up her sister.
You could see her eyes were starting to look more saddened as her head began to hang long.
"You have a sister?" you nervously ask her while tilting your head.
She nods solemnly.
"Well, have you seen her recently?" you ask softly.
"Yes. But our encounter before that was not so...peaceful," she answers regretfully.
"Did you have a fight? I mean siblings fight all the time. It's only natural -"
"She was the reason we were banished in the first place!" she exclaims at you. The tip of her horn glew brighter.
You slightly jump from the outburst of offence in shock. You freeze in place to assure her no threat.
"Sorry! I didn't think that'd be the reason," you apologize to the angered princess. "Even so, you know she probably didn't want to, right? Sometimes people are left no choice in tough decisions. I'm certain your sister would've chosen a more peaceful route if there was," you inform her kindly while easing back into a more relaxed sitting posture.
The dark blue coated Alicorn slowly calms down, as if taking your words more in mind. "No, we apologize. It's still difficult for us to come to terms with that, even after apologizing to her after everything that happened. We didn't mean any harm, we only wanted acceptance and to be treated the same, as the citizens praised our sister," she explains in sorrow.
Her head faces away from you.
'A older sibling being more appreciated than the younger one? I've heard that song and dance number before,' you think to yourself. Now you were an only child but you grew up with friends who had older siblings so you can somewhat grasp the idea of older siblings getting more attention than the other.
"I get you. Being ignored is pretty horrible, it makes you feel like you don't have any meaning. Like you don't exist," you tell her.
She glances back at you, to then take a few steps forward with her hoofs. She examines your eyes with her cyan pair.
"Thou humans, share an understanding such as that?" she asks peculiarly.
"Well yeah, I mean not in the same level as your species; learning magic. But emotionally we're pretty similar on the inside," you answer her honestly. Your eyes caught attention to her sapphire blue mane that flowed like a peaceful river, that seemed to move freely with no assistance of the wind.
Your mind was imaging grazing your hands on her flowing mane. You just weren't sure if it'd bother her.
'It just keeps on flowing, how...is that even possible? There's a magical TALKING horse right in front of me...and I'm asking that kind of question?
You then hear her call your name.
"Thou seem, distracted? Is there something in our mane?" she asks while brushing with her hoof.
"N-no, it's just..." you hesitate.
'Well I could ask that question later.'
"Why did you come back?"
"After we were restored into harmony, the thoughts of this dimension started to flicker back to us. It gave us an idea to explore and possibly learn about this world. A different plane from our very own itself is a concept we never considered, especially one such as this."
'No offence to the human race and evolution but, what is there to learn from us to a magical intellectual horse? The human race has done a lot of things...good and bad,'
"Well..." you began to awkwardly start while clasping your hand together. "The human race has a LONG history, so you'll have to be more specific," you reply back. "What was it exactly?" you ask her.
She stood with a quizzical expression as if she didn't know herself. You seep out a small giggle to her trying to answer the question.
"We aren't too sure. All that was certain was we had to return and find thee specifically. Thou didn't show any intent to harm us even in our previous arrangements; not that thou could. But we are surprised by the peaceful nature thou has given us," she compliments. "But there is one question we must ask, w-" before the Alicorn could breath another word.
The sounds of snapped twigs were triggered. You sharply turn your head to find see if anything or anyone was there.
"Turn the light off," you whisper to the princess as you pick up your camera.
Using its night vision; you searched the area around the two of you to find anything. With your current position, you are in the presence of a new form of life; who's from another realm. If someone else spotted you two, it wouldn't go very well.
It was quiet. Only the soundtrack of night was playing, a small breeze.
Your camera hasn't picked anything up of human life or animal life. It seems whatever it was, fled quickly.
"We think it'd be best if we took our leave," Luna states while lighting up her horn again.
"Y-yeah, I think that's a good idea," you reply instantly. "So, how're you getting back...home?"
Lunas eyes widened with shock. A sudden realization just knocked her metaphorically in the head.
"Ah...well, there might be a small problem with that..." she starts hesitantly while circling her right hoof on the ground.
You raise you brow curiously. "Why?..."
"We stumbled upon entry by accident, we were successful to recreate the way we entered before but...as to return...that part is quite unfamiliar..." she tells you nervously.
You stood with your mouth hung open.
'WHAT?!'
"Y-you mean you don't know...how to go back?!" you clarify to her.
"Do not blame us, we're only following how it worked from before. What did thou do to send us back?" she interrogates to you.
"Me? I was too busy watching my life flash before my eyes as I though y- I mean Nightmare Moon was gonna kill me!" you tell her.
The Alicorn simply scoffs at you for your rudeness. "We said we didn't mean any harm," she reminds you naggingly as she walks to the edge of the small cliff.
"Oh yeah, dark demonic horse with magic; chasing me through the forest with intend on conquering the world or yours wanted, 'no harm,'" you say sarcastically to her with your fingers air quoting.
The Princess of the night turns her head and walks towards you with her horn glowing more then before. Her eyes were like daggers, aiming at you. "We have said our part. Do not test the patience of the ruler of the night," she threatens as she points her horn close to your face.
You froze in place with your hands raised slightly. "Alright, I'm sorry! I just don't know what to do here. This whole thing dragged me in out of nowhere," you blurt out. You then stare at Luna. "I mean we're both dragged into this, so I guess we should just try to work together, eh?" you suggest with a open hand gesture towards her.
She weakens the physical threat and raises her head up to then walk closer to you. "We can agree on that term," she says before raising her hoof in acceptance of your handshake.
As the handshake was taking place, you noticed it was getting late and thought it'd be best to head back. But there was obviously one problem.
"Say, I didn't think things over myself. Like right now, I came to find something odd and maybe then head home but...now. If I went home then..."
"Where would we go?" she finishes for you.
"Exactly," you say as you look at the newly formed crescent moon.
'I can't leave her by herself. I can't exactly keep a magical horse in my room,' you ponder.
"I don't suppose you have any transformation spells from where you come from? " you jokingly suggest to her. "So you can blend in for awhile till you figure things out."
You both cease your handshake. "Well...we do have the capability of shape shifting, but..."
"You've never seen humans before, right?"
She simply nods. But her eyes twinkle with an idea. "But thou has seen many!" she puts her right hoof on your heart. "We could create a form, through imagery from your mind! We only need your consent for entry," she informs you.
'In my mind? She'll be...going into my mind?'
"So you're going in my head? Like Xavier from X-men style?" you oddly refer to while placing one hand on your right temple with the other hand out forward.
Luna only stood in confusion. "We do not understand your reference, but all we'll be doing is looking. Not entering; their both quite different," she teaches you ominously. "Now, do we have thou permission?" she kindly asks.
'She'll only see in my head...I guess it couldn't hurt...hopefully. Just keep it clean.'
"Sure, go ahead...you have my permission," you answer clearly.
Luna then proceeds to move closer to you. Her horn begins to light up in a cobalt blue aura and shrouds the two of you. Your eyes begin to grow heavy. You soon drift off.
Everything is now pitch black.
"Hmm it appears thou has seen many humans, some of them are very...peculiar...especially the women," echoes the voice of the Alicorn. "You've met all these people?"
"Em...some of them. Just don't dive too deep okay?" you shyly ask her. "That's my personal space."
Luna was basically reading through all types of humans you've 'encountered' as if it were a photo album. From everyones heights, shape, colour and to their complexion, she was scanning through to see what kind of human form appeals for her to imitate.
"But the more we see, the larger the variety we g- might we ask why some of these women are fully cloathed while there are some here who are-"
"Hey! I said don't dive too far! You're going to a shallow end there!" you tell her before she could even finish. "That's nothing for you to see!" you cover up with nervously.
A small giggle could be heard from the inspection Princess.
You may have a kind heart, but everyone has a dark side to them or something pairing in contrast. In your case it just happens to be a natural male instinct; But calling that your dark side is a bit much, more of hobby or interest.
She continues to analyze the suitable pieces of information that you allowed her to see.
"Is it natural to have blue hair in your world?" Luna asks.
"Well, nobodies born with blue hair, but people dye their hair colour to change it to a different one, why?"
"Twas only curious," she replies happily. "Does your kind wear anything resembling royalty? Or is it natural for all humans to dress so..." she critiques with the trouble of finding the right word.
"Casual? Well it depends. You're trying to blend in right? So I wouldn't exactly turn up in a big dress or anything. Go for something easy to walk in and that'll help you blend in with us," you reply to the troubled being. "Even a simple pair of jeans, a sweater or a hoodie with shirt underneath. That's what I do at least."
"Rrriiiight, you are aware that we do not know what these things are, correct?"
"Jeans: Lower garments, sweaters, shirts and hoodies: Upper garments. Just think of what I'm wearing right now," you clue her in.
A moment goes with no answer from the alien.
"You know what shoes are too, right?" you playfully ask her.
"We of course know about footwear, thank you very much," she scoffs at your witty remark.
Soon the darkness lifted from you and allowed you to open your eyes once again.
You blink rapidly from irritation and begin to focus on something new in-front of you.
Luna was glowing blindingly to the point of resembling white silhouette. You see her change shape into a more humaneness figures.
Her forelegs were now changing into more arm like appendages. The once royal hooves were now growing human digits. Her muzzle was becoming less visible.
The glowing newly formed body soon became more detailed.
Your eyes were wider than before, your jaw slightly open. The once Alicorn is now looking like a human.
She wore black denim jeans and shoes to match. She wore a royal blue shaded zipper hoodie with a dark blue shirt with a black splodge on the center with a crescent moon over it. Around her neck was another white crescent moon necklace dangling from its long silver chains.
Her obvious horn and wings were nowhere to be seen. Not even her tail. She practically blends into this new world to her, called earth.
You were then blinded by her snow like complexion. It struck to you with intrigue. Like a nice winter day; where the pavement is fine to walk on and the snow's covering the land beautifully.
The blue aura remained around the two of you, so you could see her full design in the light. Her eyes were shut throughout this whole transformation sequence. She needed to concentrate intensively to craft her new form.
Luna then reveals her shining cyan eyes. They were sparkling with new forms of human life.
The aura bubble slowly diminishes as time goes by.
"How is...this?" she asks you while stretching her arms.
'No way...this is the same person, right?' you thought to yourself in disbelief.
You snap back into reality. "Em...yeah, it looks fine," you tell her.
Your eyes then lock onto her continuously flowing sapphire hair with the bright dimples that almost resembles stars.
"Are we done here?" she asks with her arms crossed.
"Yeah, we should probably get going."
"Indeed."
Luna proceeds to move one of her legs, but wobbled from taking one step. She let out a small cute yelp, as she quickly latches onto your left side for support.
"Uh...you alright?" you ask to the young woman who was currently clinging to your shoulder. Her hands were clutching to your left arm tightly.
This type of feeling sparked a feeling very unfamiliar. You felt your skin shiver into goosebumps and your heartbeat increased slightly.
"But of course, we simply...misjudged our step...your world needs better construction..." she critiques with small blush of embarrassment radiating upon her face. Luna then lets go to commence with walking on her new two feet.
You witness her trying to adapt to only using two legs. A smile creeps on your face with a little giggle to yourself. Seeing Luna -a alien horse- taking human form and try to walk was a nice piece of entertainment, a good start.
"Need any help?" you throw out playfully with a genuine smile.
She turns her head to you. "We...are...fine," she answers slowly while trying to master the art of walking. The young woman pauses her stepping to stand on one leg. "But...we could use your assistance," she shyly addresses.
You walk up to assist her. She wraps her arm around yours for support.
"Do not get any ideas, this is simply to help us adapt to your world," she spurts out.
"Y-yeah, obviously," you reply as the two of you make your way out of the forest. "By the way, there's been some thing I've been wanting to ask..."
"Yes?"
"You say, 'We' about yourself...why is that?" you genially ask her as you both make your way back to your home.
She looks away from you for a moment to then look forward. "It has been awhile since we've socialized with our subjects mind thee. We're not exactly 'with the times'." she answers shamefully.
