A Moon Full Experience
Chapter 4: The Night To End It On
Previous ChapterNext ChapterYou and Luna spent the walk to your place with small conversations about her worlds history from when she was around before being banished to the moon. While answering these questions she was getting the hang of walking on two legs.
Now you and Luna were at the front door.
"Here we are," you tell the young woman with blue hair.
She observes the front white door of your home.
"We must admit, your worlds architectures is something worth glancing," she admits as her eyes scope the exterior of the building.
You turn to her with a amused smile. "Thanks, but this is nothing compared to other places. Like the richer or well known districts of the world."
The key to the front door lock enters.
"In we go."
You both enter inside. The two of you are now in the small hallway. Two door ways and a stairway could be found: one at the left side and the other doorway was between the stairs and left side wall.
Luna observes the interior carefully. This of course, was the first human home shes entered.
"Let me just tidy things up, okay? Don't be shy to look around," you tell her kindly as you went up stairs to make sure your room was suitable for your literal special guest.
She simply looked at the two options before her. There was the living room and the kitchen. Luna stood to ponder which to inspect first.
Meanwhile, you tossed your bag near your bed and gently placed your secured camera on your small counter near your bedside left.
"Okay, calm down. You just have a Alicorn from another dimension -who's turned into a human female- down stairs in your house..." you remind yourself while placing your hands on the back of your head. "You know what...that alone sounds...pretty alarming no matter what the circumstances."
You take a threesixty look around to make sure the room was pleasant to the eyes. Luckily nothing stood out. You then quickly head back down stairs to accompany your new acquaintance.
When you reach the hallway, you found the Princess of The Night observing living room. She was looking at the turned off TV.
Before calling her over, you decide to watch her try to figure out the advanced technology. It was rather interesting. She would feel the face of the TV, to then stroke amongst the top of it. Unfortunately her expression was being blocked by the back of her head.
"Enjoying yourself?" you playfully ask with your arms crossed.
She jolts straight up from her knelt position to then face you. "We were simply -"
You gesture your index finger to grasp her attention. "Why don't you try...using 'I' instead of 'we', when talking about yourself?" you suggest gently to her.
Luna lightly coughs before continuing. "I..." she pauses with eyes glimmering with assurance before continuing. You nod happily to confirm she's doing well. "was simply admiring this...odd contraption, what's its purpose?" she asks curiously.
"Human entertainment, we call it a Television. Or TV mostly," you answer her to then reach for the remote to then watch it flick to music channel blasting some form of heavy metal, loud strong strumming of the guitar accompanied with heavy battering of the drums. This made Luna flinch and back away in caution.
You giggle to yourself at her reaction, until you could see her right hand rising and aiming at the TV. Her hand materialized a cobalt aura, as if she was about to blast something right at it.
"Hey! Hey! Hey! It's alright! It's just music!" you explain to her slowly in fear that your precious TV could've been destroyed.
Her arm slowly lowers. "We d- I did come across a box filled with motion pictures while looking through your thoughts...but it was much smaller than this..." she ponders while staring at the TV. "Apologies, some of your memories might have slipped our inspection. It couldn't be helped."
"It's fine...at least it was a minor memory," you answer. "What you saw was probably my computer, that's in my room."
Luna turns her head to you, with her sapphire hair continuously floating with no wind assistance. "May we visit, your...room?" she asks you with her eyes sparkling with intrigue.
You both stood there in silence for a moment before making your way upstairs. 'Okay, relax...you're just walking a young woman: who's a royal magical Alicorn, to your room...no pressure' you say as the two of you reach the front door to your bedroom. You then let her inside your bedroom.
You somewhat felt nervous for no real reason, as this was her first human bedroom she's seeing. Not to mention it's not like anything destructive happened since the last time you checked your room -which was several minutes ago.
The blue haired woman walks in with wide eyed expression. She looks around your nerdy domain for all its features: superhero posters, your blu-ray collection of the Marvel/DC/Anime films and shows a like stacked in your personal shelf, which was filled with many geeky possessions.
"My! my! This is a well kept private study! Even though I may not fully know what everything is," she begins while examining the posters on your walls. "I can see it has it's charm to it," she admits to then glance at your desktop. "Hazah!" she shouts in delight. "That was the box like contraption I saw! A...computer, yes?" she finishes with uncertainty in her voice. Even her facial expression crept a unsure look, especially when she locks eyes with you for confirmation. Which admittedly was cute to you.
You softly giggle to yourself before answering. "Yes, that's right, Luna. That's my computer. I'll show you that later, okay?" you assure her. Teaching a magical Alicorn the wonders of the internet may require a full days investment. "Also...Hazah?" you repeat back to her with an idiotic smirk.
She replays her phrasing back in her mind. Her face turns a light shade of pink of embarrassment. "I...You see...where I come from...it means..." she tries to answer with heavily applied hesitation. "...you simply wouldn't understand, being human you see," she scoffs with her arms crossed.
You shake your head in amusement. "If you say so," you comply with her. You check the time on your phone.
19:45
You turn back to find Luna, sitting on your desktop chair rather comfortably: she stares through the window that allowed her to see the night sky. She was rather mesmerized by the view. "You have a wonderful view from here," she compliments while placing her elbows on the desk to then lean her head on her hands.
This makes you move to sit on your bed, basically sitting next to her at her left side at this point. "Yeah, it's a lovely night. You can see some of the stars," you point out to her with a point of your left index finger.
She leans in close to spot them out.
"Indeed," Luna adds with interest but as she stares into the newly formed large crescent orb in the sky, it only reminds her the countless moons she spent banished. She lowers her head down slowly.
You catch wind of this with a small corner eye glance.
'Hmm she's probably upset seeing the moon...maybe I can cheer her up somehow,' you thought to yourself.
Your gaze meets with the large crescent orb in the black and partially blue canvas. Which sparks an idea in your head. "You know, not a lot of people appreciate the night as they should. It's actually quite peaceful to look at," you begin nonchalantly to cheer her up.
The saddened girl looks up at you in curiosity. "You...admire the night sky?" she asks quizzically with one brow raised.
"Of course, I find it more appealing then day most of the time. All the stars spaced out and the moon itself, is my favorite part in all honesty," you convey with hints of joy.
Luna then turns the chair forward to thoroughly listen more closely. "Please...continue," she says curiously.
You were surprised to hear her spirits enlightened. 'Well better keep it up,' "Well the moon always has some form of beauty to it: when the full moon shows up, that's when I try to observe it as much as I can. There's something about it that's so spellbinding," you phrase to her softly. "Also it fits well with the night's colours and shades, Blue and black, surrounding the white orb that is the moon," you describe to then take a breather. "Fun fact: when you look into the moon without blinking for awhile, you see a blue aura around it...kinda like...your hair or even your aura," When you take a closer look at your new companion, you could see something that resembles flattery.
Luna sat there looking around the room, almost rather flustered for some reason and rather pink on the cheeks. She then shakes out of it. "My my, it appears the Princess of the Night has a little admirer from the human realm!" she teases with a half lidded eyes and a cheeky grin.
"Oh ha ha," you retort back. "Just shedding some light on this dark time...no pun intended," you awkwardly spout. 'Nice one brain...nice,'
While you were mentally thinking to yourself, the young woman made her way to sit next to you on your bed. When her weight landed on the bed, it shook you out of your thought to notice her.
You couldn't help feel anxious. As your eyes met with hers, you could feel your nerves kicking in. 'Hey! Relax, man she's just sitting next to you. No need to get cold feet!'
"What does one do for entertainment, then?" she asks innocently as her hair flows continuously with its speckled featured stars within it.
"Well..." you hesitate at first. "That depends, what did you do on eq- I mean in general?" you ask nervously.
Luna sits pondering for a moment.
"Well...on nights like these, we would always gaze upon the night sky or... we would continue with our usual tasks," she answers nonchalantly. "Simply put, we don't get much...entertainment in Equestria."
'Still using 'we' again...I'll let it slide' you think before replying to her. "Well, I'm not exactly a normal human. I'm a little anti-social myself sometimes. I mostly sit around in here: either on computer games or if I have friends over, play some card games," you explain to her without confusing her with earthly entertainment.
Luna simply tilts her head to the side in confusion. "Card...games?" she repeats hesitantly. "Would you mind presenting these...card games?" she asks curiously while looking around the room for any signs of these alleged cards.
'I mean, it couldn't hurt to try,' you think yourself in slight doubt as you reach under your bed to pull out a brown box that had been laying there for a couple of months.
You then place the box in between the two of you gently and lift the lid off of the boxes body. Luna leans over to look inside the box to discover these card games. There were small coloured plastic deck box casings, all stacked from their sides.
As you pull out of a red coloured box, Luna was trying to figure out what kind of cards were in the box. 'Hope she isn't expecting enchanted cards,' you think to yourself with uncertainty.
Slowly your fingers pull out a few cards that were covered with card sleeves to prevent damage and dirt invading the cards. Luna's head immediately shifts to your hands to see the face of the cards. With a swift turn of your wrist, you show her one of the cards.
"Blue...Eyes...White...Dragon?" she reads out confusingly. "What type of cards are these?" she asks while staring at the art of a large pale white dragon with blue eyes.
"Well, it's a trading card game called: Yu-Gi-Oh and it's been around for at least a decade, it's pretty fun...until they brought in Pendulum Summoning, which I won't get into right now," you begin to show your nerdy side while explaining the games rules. "But if you're still interested, we could just play with the simple rules first. If you want," you offer while giving her the navy blue deck box.
She reaches out for it, to then pull out stacks of the cards inside it. "We see, and what purpose does this game have?" she asks while examining the cards in her newly formed hands. She slightly fumbles the cards in her hands but manages to keep control.
"Well it's kinda fun when you get the right type of deck and know the rules better," you answer as you look through your themed deck. "I've played this game since I was ten years old and I've got a few good decks in here," you boast while tapping the box.
Luna nods while reading the cards descriptions: admittedly watching her read the cards was a cute. Her analyzing the effects of certain monsters was a sign of hope in your eyes. "So...what type of...deck, is this?" she asks gesturing the deck in her possession.
You squint your eyes, analyzing the blue deck box. "If I'm right, that is the spellcaster deck. With some combo spellcasters and equip cards," you inform her kindly with a hint of confidence.
"And what of that one?" she asks while pointing to the box in your possession. Your pride and joy that is your first deck ever created.
"Dragons, this one crushed everyone back when I was younger. It had some ridiculous combos and chains, it's pretty broken. Especially with the latest cards now a days," You had an interest in dragons and thought it'd be fitting to have a dragon themed deck. "So would you be interested in a game?"
She sat looking at the cards once again before answering.
"Very well...we shall partake in this game of cards," she complies as she pulls out the rest of the cards from her new spellcaster deck. "You will instruct us how the game is played, yes?" she assures you with eyes of innocence.
"Of course," you reply with a nod. You then lift the box down gently and proceed to take out your deck. 'Don't want to demolish her right away,' you think to yourself: as much as it would be fun to blindside her in the game, it's much more fun and fair to you when the person knows what their doing. "For starters, shuffle your deck around."
You proceeded to teach her the phases of the game and what each stat on the cards meant. She understood the reasoning's quite well. Even if she seemed unsure still, you gave her a small manual to remind her of any steps she makes.
"Alright, let's duel!"
The game began with eight thousand life points. She went up first, thanks to a coin toss.
"Remember, only monsters with four stars can be normal summoned," you remind her. She summons her monster successfully, but she tries to attack at you immediately. "Can't do that, you have to wait a turn to attack I'm afraid," you alarm cockily.
"What?! What kind of duel is this?!" she questions furiously. "You don't wait on your opponent to summon their troops. If the enemy is weak on the battlefield, you strike!" she declares with pride.
'Tell that to most Final Fantasy or RPG games,'
"Sorry, Luna I didn't make the rules."
The young woman quietly huff. "Fine, we shall comply for now..." she ends her turn from there.
"If you have any spell or trap cards that you think might come in handy, don't forget to place them behind the monster cards."
"Yes yes we understand the use of support spells and curses," she replies with hints of inheritance.
You keep your eyes on your hand. "Also, you're doing it again. Try using 'I' instead of 'We'," you critique her jokingly. Now in your hand were some strong dragon cards with powerful effects mixed in, but the trouble was they were at least level fives. Sadly in traditional Yu-Gi-Oh fashion they can't be summoned so easily. 'Aw come on! Not one lower tier monster?! Of all times?' you shout in your head while retaining your poker face. You place two cards face down in the spell and trap zone. "Your turn."
The game continued on. You manage to summon some monsters. Luna threw some good combinations with the Fortune Lady cards she had: with each turn their attack points increased on each of her standby phases and with a unique ability to aid her in demolishing you. She's barely used any of her spells or trap cards she placed early on in the game. With some luck, you too drew some cards to aid you as well: such as The Swords of Revealing Light, buying you more draw phase time and planning. Which eventually brought you your one of many trump cards. Red Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon the tool to bring forth your other stronger arsenals, once each turn it allowed you to special summon a dragon type from your hand or graveyard.
You're both around two thousand life points.
But you had something else planned. A very nostalgic and known monster was waiting to be summoned, like in the show it was calling for you. The pieces to summon it are all finally in place and now's the best time and the best way to finish the duel.
Your inner duelist was becoming more apparent. With a cocky grin that read to Luna as 'I've won this.'
"What are you smirking at?" she asks with arrogance.
"Sorry Luna. But this is it! I'm going to demolish you!" you declare like you were like an actual Yu-Gi-Oh character: but with a subtler hairstyle. "I use the spell card Polymerization! To then fuse my three Blue Eyes White Dragons to bring forth..." you place your merged monsters into the graveyard and pull out the fused result from the fusion deck with haste. "Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon! The three headed dragon!"
Luna softly gasps at the paper card as if it were really there. "Four thousand five hundred attack?! That's madness!" she scoffs in fear.
"I also use my Red Eyes Darkness Dragons effect to special summon a Blue Eyes White Dragon back from the graveyard," you declare with a victorious turn. "And all you have is a Dark Magician and a Lady Fortune Dark...not bad but I'm afraid it's game," you state confidently. You then command your Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon to attack her Dark Magician.
"Not really..." Luna disputes calmly with her one hand reaching for a face down card.
'Wait...no...don't tell me...that's not what I think it is!' you scream mentally with your eyes widening in sheer panic.
"I active Mirror Force...and reflect your attack back, destroying all your monsters!"
Your jaw slightly drops in shock. '...YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING!' you then end your turn with a face down monster in defense mode. 'Hopefully she won't go for it or I'm done for!'
You can see the fire in Luna's eyes that were flickering with righteous victory. "I attack your face down card with my Fortune Lady Dark," she declares her first attack, which forces you to remove your weak monster from play. "I now finish this with my Dark Magician and with the Magic Formula equipped to him, It's more than enough!" she states confidently.
With no form of defense in your disposal you have no choice but to take the damage and lose the duel. "I can't believe you actually beat me..." you say in disbelief. Meanwhile Luna was giggling with joy across from you.
"Hazah! The fun has been doubled!" she proclaims loudly to you. "That was...fun, to say at least," she reverts back to her cooler demeanor. She then proceeds to gather her cards back together.
You too gather your cards together. "Yeah. That was pretty good for your first time..." you then realize what you just said sounded quite open. "At card games!" 'Nice one brain...' you quickly finish while returning the deck box to its previous place. As does Luna.
After a moment of silence goes by, you get off your bed. "Well, it's getting pretty late we should probably get some...sleep, wait I just realized something..."
Luna remains on your bed, while looking at you. "What?" she asks innocently.
"You'll need something more comfier to sleep in. I'll get you something that'll hopefully fit," you tell her as you make your way to your dresser drawer to pull out some pajamas.
"Are you sure that's necis-"
"Don't worry," you interrupt her to bring her pajama bottoms and shirt.
She gently takes them from your hands. "If you insist," she complies quizzically.
You then make your way to the door. "I'll let you get changed, let me know when you're done," you inform her before leaving the room to then gently close the door all the way.
"Thank you!" she lightly shouts through the door.
"No problem" 'Best way to not make it awkward as possible,' you think to yourself as you lean your back against the door frame.
The only sounds that could be heard were clothes being removed from the body and slight sounds of ruffling of fabric. Your mind began to slip into many images of what was being revealed and happening inside your own room. Which also brought flashbacks to a film called American Pie and of a particular scene. But as the scene played in your head, your mind then swapped the two characters for you and Luna and at that point you shook your head rapidly to clear your thoughts.
'No! No! No! No! That is DEFINITELY not happening...even though she's now a human female...in my room...getting changed. Wait could she have possibly given herself a particular piece of under- No! Stop that! She's from another world, learning human things. I wouldn't and shouldn't take advantage of her or the situation!' you vow to yourself internally.
You then hear your name being called. "Yeah?"
"Your pajamas are quite comfy!" she addresses in a satisfied tone. "You can come in now!" she tells you nicely.
Once you stepped inside, you look to find Luna standing there, wearing your blue wool pajama bottoms and black shirt. It'd didn't match each other at all but you hardly cared due to them being simply pajamas. "Even though I could've just made my own sleeping gown, I'll happily wear these for the time being."
"You look...nice," you reply with a gulp and rapid blinking. 'She looks kinda cute,'
Luna could see right through you. "We m- I must admit, it was a shock when you walked out the room like that. I thought you'd at least try to take a gander at us, me undressing," she confesses with a cheeky grin. "But it seems there's a gentleman in you after all," the grin then fades into a soft smile.
Your cheeks began to turn pink and the warmth of them was sinking in. "T-Thanks...So I was thinking: since I only have one bed...you can sleep here and I'll take the couch in the living room," you inform her.
Luna tilts her head to one side. "Are you sure? It is your bed after all, I wouldn't mind taking this couch, you speak of," she proposes to you innocently.
This made you take a step closer towards her. "No no, it's fine really. I'm more than happy for you to take the bed," you assure her gently.
Luna then leans back and lands on the couch. She then brings her whole body in at the middle of the bed, sitting with her legs together pointing towards the bottom of the bed and her right arm holding up her upper body weight that's leaning towards the pillows. "In fact, why bother take the couch. Why not sleep with me?" she asks innocently.
You had to blink rapidly to clarify what you heard. "I-I'm sorry?" you ask in hesitance.
"I mean," she began to draw circles in the bed sheets with her index finger. "What's wrong with a male sleeping on the same bed as a woman, who's merely an associate? It's not like you'd try to pull any tomfoolery, right?" she assures to you with half lidded eyes and a devilish grin.
You're face was now almost the same shade of a fresh apple. You were trying to process what was just said. 'Wait...is she saying what I think she's s- OF COURSE, YOU IDIOT! WHAT ELSE COULD SHE MEAN? She's not thick,' you thought to yourself. 'Say something quickly before she suspects something!' "No of course not! I just thought you'd be comfortable knowing I was downstairs- I mean in the living room. I mean I'm pretty sure you don't want some guy whom you just met...sleeping next to you, right?..."
A moment of silence fills the room. Luna stares into your eyes to find anything that feels like your speaking lies.
You could feel some awkward tension in the room begin to brew. You quickly get yourself a pair of pajamas. "Well em, good night, Luna! If you need anything don't be shy to get me, okay? Night!" you tell her before heading downstairs in a hurry. Leaving the Princess alone to herself.
She softly giggles herself. "My...I didn't expect that kind of response," she says to herself in pleasant surprise. "But it's nice seeing what kind of...human he is," she notes to herself to then lean back on the bed. "He may be a young maturing male, but he acts like little foal," her lips then form a gentle smile while looking at the roof.
Meanwhile you, got dressed for bed and dug out a large towel to cover yourself in. You didn't want to go back in after such an awkward conversation with her. But as you curl up in a ball of sheer embarrassment, your mind had other priorities.
'YOU. COMPLETE. IDIOT!'
