A Split Personality
Chapter 2 - Memories
Previous ChapterNext ChapterOne week after Pinkie discovered she had two personalities, Pinkie wandered around Ponyville. Bouncing, she headed to Sweet Apple Acres. "Hi Applejack!" Pinkie said, calling to Applejack.
"Howdy, sugarcube!" Applejack replied, happy to see her friend. "What're ya'll up to?" Applejack asked Pinkie.
"Just chatting with my super-friendly-and-amazingly-awesome friends!" Pinkie replied, talking very quickly.
"Chatting, huh? I'd love to chat, but I can't. I need to farm some apples. We can chat later," Applejack said.
"What if I helped you with your apple farming? We can chat while we farm the apples!" Pinkie exclaimed.
"Of coure ya'll can help, sugarcube," Applejack replied.
The two earth ponies began farming apples. After a while, Pinkie's second personality, Pinkamena, appeared out of no where. Pinkie had become Pinkamena. Pinkamena stopped farming appless.
"Hey, Pinkie, are-" before Applejack could finish her question, Pinkamena spoke.
"Why do I have to farm apples? It reminds me of when I farmed rocks as a filly..." Pinkamena said, sadly. "Can't we do something else?" She asked.
"I'm 'fraid not, sugarcube. We need to farm these apples for the apple family!" Applejack exclaimed. Pinkamena wouldn't listen. A few tears formed in the pink mare's eyes, and she galloped away while crying.
'No...not the rock farm...can't my memories be about something happy?!' Pinkamena thought to herself. Galloping all the way to Sugarcube Corner, she flung open the door.
Mrs. Cake noticed the tears rolling down Pinkamena's face as the door flung open. "Is there something wrong, Pinkie?" She asked.
"Don't call me that. I'm Pinkamena, not Pinkie," Pinkamena said. She wiped the tears off of her face with her hooves. She slowly trotted upstairs to the room she rented. Fighting back tears, she kept remembering sad events that happened in her past. 'Why won't these memories stop? It's like I can't even control them...' Pinkamena thought.
It was 9 P.M. Pinkamena looked around her room, and then to the window. The moon was in the sky, and the stars shown bright. Pinkamena sighed and drifted off to sleep.
