The Nightmarian War

The air around the town hall grew cold enough to cause parts of the street to begin to freeze over.

"You want a piece of me ya three horned freak?!? " The cyan mare called out shaking her fist at the Stallion atop the reformed building. Skarr jumped off the roof of the town hall and landed with his wings at full extension just before Rainbow Dash. "Is that a challenge?" His face twisted into a deranged smile.

"Yeah I can take you any day of the mmph!" She was cut off by bands of crimson energy clapping her mouth shut. "Child understand this. If you challenge me I will show you no mercy."

Rainbow Dash response came in the form of a punch aimed at Skarr's face. The sound of the blow echoed through the plaza but Skarr seemed to be unfazed by the blow.

"Very well. Name your terms. " Skarr said pulling the mare's fist from his face.

"When I win you leave Equestria forever."

"Agreed and If I were win. I'll take your wings."

Silver energy gathered to Skarr's hands before his hands rose up over his head as the same colored light spread out around the duo forming a large circle around the two ponies.

Twilight looked at the circle with a look of pure fear "Rainbow run! Run as fast as you can!"

"What? Why" Rainbow Dash asked as she turned to Twilight.

"She is afraid of this spell. This is a version of a combat ring spell. All though this one will not dissipate until blood is spilled. " Skarr said bringing his hands up to the dark blue and silver bordered cloth around his eyes and began to unravel it. Letting it fall away from his face showing a large Silver gash across his closed eyes. "It will be your's." Skarr opened his eyes showing them to be mostly solid white save for the small black dots that were his irises.

"Come on Dash! Whoop his butt!" Pinkie Pie screamed in support of her friend

"Don't worry I'll handle the tricorn."

"You'll handle me?" Lord Skarr said as he took a combative stance "Girl. What makes you think you can Survive me?"

Skarr's leathery wingarms folded over his shoulders. "Fight."

Rainbow Dash took off with as much power as she could muster with a punch aimed right at the Stallion's face. However Skarr's left wing arm came down upon the back of Dash's head sending her face first into the paved Street. With a particularly loud wingbeat Skarr's wings propelled him straight up into the air.

"What's the matter? Are you going to beat me? Or are you not fast enough to catch me?" Skarr's mockery was painfully clear as the ring on the ground began to expand. The silver armored ponies began to retreat back into the shimmering portal before it collapsed with an audible rumble. As the ring expanded Twilight began herding the other ponies away from the expanding ring.

"Don't get cocky!" Rainbow Dash said as she shakily rose to her hooves before spreading her wings for take off. Clouds of dust formed underneath the mare as she took off from the ground follows closely by her trademark rainbow trail with both of her fists extended twords her opponent.

Rainbow Dash bolt around Lord Skarr going as fast as she could. Her rainbow trail wrapping around the monarch as she sped around him. And with a thunderous boom it happened, her ace in the hole the sonic rainboom.

Rainbow Dash jumped away from the sphere of contained energy as a cascade of colors erupted from it. Landing on the ground Rainbow Dash fell onto her rear panting soft from exertion. Looking up at the fading orb of Rainbow energy with shock as she heard the sound of Skarr's wings beating against the air.

As the sphere fully faded Rainbow Dash could see his Magic formed around him giving his body an eerie crimson glow.

"Impressive. Unless you were trying to harm me." Skarr said dryly.

"Hey! That's cheating!" Rainbow said pointing at Skarr accusingly

"Excuse me, but you never said I couldn't use my magic in your terms. Just that you had to beat me. Speaking of which." With The final word spoken Skarr Vanished in a flash of red and reappeared behind Rainbow Dash and planted his hoof against her back between her wings, forcing her to the ground. "Now to claim what is mine." Skarr's wingarms grabbed onto the mare's wings and began pulling on them while his hoof pushed down hard on her back intent on traumatically removing her wings.

"No! Stop, please don't do this to me!" Rainbow Dash pleaded, her voice wracked with pain.

"I told you..." her wings bones crunched under his wingarm's grips "...no..." his wingarms pulled harder making the mare scream in pain before leaning down and grinning diabolically "...mercy." his last word was followed by a wet tearing noise and an ear-splitting, blood curdling scream.

Rainbow Dash's body went limp as Skarr covered his eyes with his left hand while the right extended out making the cloth that was once wrapped around his eyes. The long strip of dark blue cloth moved through the air to wrap around its master's face once more.

"A shame." Skarr said as he looked down at the broken and very bloody mare. Her detached wings still in the grip of his wingarms. "I could use a mare like you." Lord Skarr said kneeling down next to Rainbow Dash as her eyes went wide with fear "Rainbow Dash. I curse you. Your bleakest nightmares will be nothing but sweet memories. The reward for your loyalty will be betrayal." Skarr said as a crimson ball of smoke formed in his hand and poured over the broken mare.

"And in your darkest hour I shall come for you, and you will welcome my embrace ." Skarr said before crushing the orb in his hand as the blood soaking Rainbow's tank top began to pool under her."

The dueling ring spell Skarr had cast was stated, the large Silver ring faded with a shimmering sigh allowing the rest of the mane six along with a battalion of Royal guards to flood in.

An palpable Feeling of unease washed though the plaza as Skarr lifted Dash's limp body from the ground with his wing arm and tosses her at the hooves of Twilight.

"You're a monster!" Twilight growled between clenched teeth as fluttershy and rarity tended to their wounded friend.

"A monster? No." he turned and began to walk away as an orb of crimson energy formed in front of him. "I am beyond your comprehension." The orb cracked and rumbled as it expanded allowing the deranged king to vanish inside it.

"REVENGE!!!!" Came a loud shrill scream as a flat haired pinkie Pie bolted at the orb of energy and dove into it just before it collapsed in on itself.

On the other side the pink mare collided with a wall of metal sheilds with a loud metallic sheilds.

As tried to rise up from the ground she saw the ground around her was barren and dead looking. The air was cold. Even possibly colder that the frozen north. Her teeth began to chatter as she was pinned down and restrained with shackles. That's when she saw the sky burning like a Ceaseless inferno.

"Looks like you were followed King Skarr." The familiar voice of Shattered dream said before punching the mare across the face knocking her unconscious.

"Now, now shatter. She is a guest here after all. Put her in the tower and I'll deal with her later. For now. We have war to enact."
