Becoming Parents
Month Two: Morning Sickness
Previous ChapterNext ChapterFluttershy's friends took the news pretty well. They congratulated us and gave me a quick lesson on pony pregnancies. Apparently they are about the same as a human pregnancy on Earth. Except for the fact that the foal will be develop for 11 months. The morning sickness has kicked in a week ago.
"There there. Everything will be okay." I held Fluttershy's mane back and rubbed her back as she barfed into the toilet. "You will get through this."
"I know, but my (barf) stomach hurts so much!" She cried. Tears falling down her cheeks. It hurt me to see her in so much pain, but I need to be strong for her. She continued to barf up breakfast for about an hour. When she stoped dry heaving, I grabed her a glass of water and a stomach pull her doctor prescribed. "Thank you."
"No problemo sweetie." I rubbed her back some more. "Feeling better?"
"A little...Thank you for comforting me." She gave me a small smile.
"No need to thank me. I'm your husband. It's my job to comfort you." I have been only working half my normal days. We might not be getting as many bits as usual, but It is still enough to pay for most of the stuff, and I still have some bits saved up in case of an emergency. We walked to our bedroom and layed down so Fluttershy could take it easy.
"I couldn't ask for a better husband." She began to nuzzle into my chest when she began to gold her stomach and groaned. "Jesse, can you please rub my belly? It is starting to hurt again."
"Of course." I began to circle my hoof around her soft belly. "I am really sorry you are hurting... I wish I could help you." I frowned. She looked up to me and placed a hoof against my cheek.
"You are helping." She smiled. "I'm just happy you are doing this for me." She began to humm a song she had used as a lulaby. I began to humm with her as I thought the words.
'
Hush now.
Quiet now.
It's time to lay your sleepy head.
Hush now.
Quiet now.
It's time to go to bed.
'
"Have I ever said You sound like an angel?" I asked.
"Yes, but it is always nice to hear you say that." She coued. I kissed her forehead and she playfully pouted.
"Are you just going to just sit there, or are going to kiss me on the on the lips?"
"Anything for you." Our lips touched and We wrapped our hooves around each other. We melted in each other's embrace. We stayed like that for a minute when I heard her stomach making some odd noises. She griped her belly suddenly.
"I think I'm going to throw up again!" She ran to the bathroom and I quickly followed her.
"I'm coming dear." I could already hear her up chucking. 'Now we are back where we started this morning.' This cycle continued for the next few weeks. When I wasn't here one of her friends was taking care of her. 'I wonder what will be the next symptom?..'
