Ch.3 Videogame matchmaking!
I tried to DJ the best I could, but I was lost in fantasies of the pegasi. "Yo, Vy. You feelin' ok?" Asked my cousin, and co-owner of the club, Bass Blast, "You're a bit...off." I then realized I hadn't changed the song for most of the day. "Naw, I'm good." I said awkwardly stepping away from the turntable, "Just not my day, I guess." He gives me a suspicious look, which I counter with a huge smile. "If you say so..." He says, and starts escorting me off the stage, "Hey, it's my shift now so how about you go relax?" I nod, making my way over to one of the empty booths, and sit down resting my head on my hooves. "Rainbow Dash... She probably doesn't even like mares."I say to myself glumly, "Probably just some stupid rumor..." The beat drops causing the entire club to shake. I groan, and rub my now pounding head, "I'm just gonna head home for the day..." I say as I make my way to the exit, ignoring a few ponies that tried to block my path to get an autograph, and start heading home.
"I wonder if Tavs is home." I say, and check the time. It's 12:38... A mare passes me, and she looks very familiar... it's Octavia?! "Yo Tav you're actually going to the club?!" I shout in alarm, "You say you hate that 'torturous excuse for music' that's always playing there!" Then it hit me, she wasn't going for the music... she was going to see my cousin! "Omigoddesses! You like my cousin!" I shout before I can stop myself. This causes her to turn a bright red. "No, I do not like your cousin Bass Blast!" She shouts back, clearly lying. "Ya know... I never told you his name..." I reply putting on a sly smile, "You just blew your cover!" She just stands there, unable to think of a response. "Don't worry!" I say, putting my hoof around her, "Your 'secret' is safe with me! I'm not Beauty Brass!" Remembering how if she found anything 'juicy' on someone you'd find it on her Ponybook. "Well, thanks I suppose..." She awkwardly shuffles into the club, turning an even brighter shade of red. "That was fun!" I shout, and continue home skipping slightly. Then my thoughts go back to Rainbow Dash, and I sigh, "For all I know she has a coltfriend..." I reach the house, and head up to my room.
"Lesse... maybe some gaming'll help!" I say, and head over to my game shelf, "Hmm... Haylo: Reach! Perfect!" I pull it out, place it into my Xbox."Let's do this!" I shout, as I float my controller in front of me, put on my headset, and start up Matchmaking. I'm about to go grab a Monster out of my fridge when it finds a match, "That was fast..." It's a Team Deathmatch. "So... lesse who's on my team..." I look down the player list, DJP0N3, which is obviously me. The others are DashofLoyalty, PartyHardyPony, and SongBird22. "Aight... who are we up against?" I look at the other team. HeartStrings, "Oh, whoever could that be?" I say to myself sarcastically. The others on the enemy team are CandyCovesBonni1, Sup3rG0ss1pMare, and PrincessofScience12272. "Do any of them have mics?" I ask, not hearing a response I check again, and see that they're all in a Party, "That explains it!" I get a Party invite, and I accept. "Yo videogames!" I shout, as soon as I get in. "Yo P0N-3!" DashofLoyalty shouts back, and I quickly realize it's Rainbow Dash, "Didn't expect to see you!" I start find it hard to breathe. "Uh, yeah! Just got off work!" It sounded like Dash was going to ask something but got cut off by PartyHardyPony who I realize has to be Pinkie, "Yay!" The match had started without me knowing.
The match goes well, and we win by just ten kills. "That was awesome!" I shout, still feeling the adrenaline from the match. After the match I learn that CandyCovesBonni1 is Bon Bon, who is gaming at Lyra's, SongBird22 is FlutterShy, who is one of those 'Harcore' gamers, Sup3rG0ss1pMare is Beauty Brass, and PrincessofScience12272 is Shinebeam, who is rotating with her coltfriend Knyte. "Buck yeah, it was!" I hear FlutterShy yell. It's so odd how different she is while playing shooting games. "Uh, hey P0N-3?" I hear Dash over the sound of everypony chattering, "Can I come over, and listen to some records or something?" This makes me feel like my heart is going to explode. "Uh... Sure Dash!" I say, not even realizing everypony has grown quiet, "And it's Vinyl Scratch." She squeals silently, and you can hear her set down the controller, "I'll be there in a sec!" She shouts, then goes offline.
"You like her don't you?" Shinebeam asks over the headset, and you can hear Knyte holding back a laughing fit in the background. "She's pretty epic." I reply not understanding what she meant, "She's an awesome sniper." You hear Knyte burst into laughter. "No,no,no,no." Shinebeam says in a joking tone, "You just wanna snuggle with her next to a fire, and love on her don't ya?!" She bursts into laughter too. I freak, shut off my Xbox, and throw my headset across the room. "What am I going to do?!" I ask myself, running downstairs, and noticing the huge mess from last night's party, "Ok, I gotta clean for one!" I start picking everything up putting it where it belongs. "She's gonna be here any--" I get cut off by knocking at the door, "Second..." I open the door and Rainbow Dash waves happily,and strolls in taking a seat on the couch, "Hey sorry it took so long,"She says as if she took an hour instead of a minute, "Traffic, ya know?" Traffic? What?! I look around at the mess still left, "Sorry about the mess... had a party last night, and I didn't get the chance to clean it up." I say, kicking a broken vase under a table. "It's cool!" She says, with a smile, "Hey... I just wanted to know if you could teach me how to DJ...:?"
This completely erases any shyness I had. "You don't know how to DJ?!" I shout in alarm. She shakes her head, "Nope, but I wanna learn though!" Her smile gets bigger, "So will ya teach me?!" I lead her to the music room where Tav and I keep all the musical equipment. "This must be fixed at once!" I say in my most dramatic voice, earning a laugh from Dash as I set everything up.
After an hour or so of the basics, she starts doing stuff on her own. "Hey, this isn't that hard!" She shouts over the music, "It's actually pretty fun!" I stand just a few feet away, content with my new protege. "Now be careful! Don't want you--" I never finished the sentence. She slips, and is sent straight into me.
I groan as I open my eyes, and I gasp when I see her on top of me. I feel my face burning up."Uh, Dash...?" She looks down at me, also a bright red. Then, as if I lost all control over my body, I pulled her in, and kissed her. To my relief she kissed back. I don't know how long our lips locked, but I do remember what happened next. "I'll just... get my cello later..." Octavia says, walking in on us.
We must have looked very... erotic. Music blaring, laying on the floor locked in each other's embrace. "Uh... we weren't doing anything!" I feel my face burning even more. "Yeah, she was just teaching me how to use a turntable, and I slipped!" She says, helping me up, "Totally accidental!" She's nearly glowing from embarrassment.

Ch.4 Oh goddesses not the video!
I shove Blast off the couch as he started poking me joking about what Octavia told him. "Vy and Dashie sittin' on a cloud! K.I.S.S.I.N.G!" He sings, continuing to poke me. "You know that's not possible. I can't sit on a cloud." I reply shoving him again," I'm a unicorn. I'd fall right through!" Octavia pokes her head into the doorway. "Vinyl you need to--" I throw a pillow at her head. "Silence betrayer!" I shout, still furious at her, "Or I shall smite thee with the pillow of doom a second time!" Tav sighs, and pulls out a disc. "I have this." She says in a singsong voice. Oh goddesses! Not the video! "Ok ok!" I shout not wanting anyone to see the video of how I got my cutie mark, "I won't smite you with the pillow of doom a second time!" Blast takes the disc from Tav, and reads the title. "Ooooh! This video!" He says, waving it in the air, "Maybe we should show your new marefriend, huh?" I turn a bright red. If she saw that video I think I might die! "Don't you dare Blast!" I throw a pillow at him, but he throws it back hitting me right in the face. "I'm gonna do it!" He says, running for the door. I float a teddy bear in front of the door, and he screams like a little filly, "AHH!" I send the teddy bear right into his face, and he throws the disc into the air. "Teddy bears, works every time." I say, magically catching the disc. "Did you just...?" Tav says, staring at Blast, gawking. Blast throws the teddy bear into a corner. "I'm horrified of those things!" He admits, turning a bright red, "They're soulless, beady little eyes. Staring through your very being!" Ok then Blast... That's disturbing.
Yesterday Tav walked in on Dash, and I... Dash left after that. Clearly embarrassed. "She probably just got engrossed in the music..."I said to myself, once again floating the teddy bear in front of Blast, "Maybe I should call, and apologize." I pull out my phone, and dial her number. Each ring feels like a century, and I find myself pacing the room. I hear a click then Dash's voice. "Rainbow Dash here." She says, obviously busy with something from the noises in the background. "I'll call back later..." I say in a voice that would give Fluttershy a run for her bits, "You sound busy..." I'm about to hang up, "Hold on Vinyl!" I hear her, and put the phone back to my ear, "What'cha need?" She's acting as if that entire thing never happened. "I just wanted to apologize about what happened the other day... Totally not cool what I did..." I say, talking even quieter,"I shouldn't have done that..." She actually laughs, "Naw, it's cool! You just got caught up in the moment." She says, "Didn't mean anything right?" My heart implodes when she says that. "No... Just got engrossed in the music." I say, trying to hide my sadness, "Didn't mean a thing..." I hang up before she can respond, and throw my phone across the room from anger. Tav gives me a sad look. "You need to tell her how you feel." She says, trying to comfort me, "How you really feel." I ignore her, holding back tears. "No, there's no point..." I say, trying to end the conversation, "She'll nev--" Tav cuts me off, and scares me half to death. "There's always a point!" She says, going over, and coming back with my phone, "Now call her, and invite her over!" I try to say no, but she glares at me... She can be super scary... So I decided to call again, this time the phone is answered faster than before, "This is Rainbow Dash." She says, I think her caller I.D might be broken, or something. "It's Vinyl again... I just wanted to know if you wanted to come over and..." I stop, and look at Tav who simply shrugs at me, "Watch some stupid videos, or somethin'?" There's silence for a moment as she thinks about it. "Don't have anything better ta do... Sure, be there in a sec!" She says, then hangs up.
"I Just did that..." I say, stunned from what I had said, "I just... did that..." I start shaking Tav. "I just did that!" I shout right in her face."Yes, I was there!" She shouts back, "Quit shaking me!" I let go, and there's knocking at the door. "Man, she's fast!" I say, as I open the door expecting the rainbow maned mare. But there's an even more familiar figure at the door... Spiky red and orange mane, white coat, and black glasses resembling my own... otherwise known as my mother. "I was in town, and wanted to visit my little Vinyl Scratch." She says, hugging me, "I asked around, and heard you were living here!" I squirm trying to get away. "Yeah, do you mind not hugging so tight?" I say, finally escaping her hug, "I kinda need to breathe." She smiles at me, and walks in not even asking. "Oh, you must be Octavia." She says, noticing her trying to calm Blast down, "I heard you two were roommates." Octavia apparently hadn't noticed my mother enter, and drops the teddy bear on Blast, causing him to freak again. "You're Vy's mother Lily right?" She says, carefully taking the teddy bear from Blast. "Yep, and I see you know my nephew... still haven't gotten past your fear of teddy bears?" She says, giving Blast a mocking stare. ...I don't know how I'm related to my own mother... my special talent is so different from hers... she's a gardener! A gardener!!! "I also heard something about a... Rainbow Dash?" Mom says, looking at me curiously. "Oh, really?" I say, looking past her at Tav, "Ponybook I imagine?" Mom nods, "You need to stay in touch about these sorta things..." She says in her warmest voice. Then answering my fears, Dash pokes her head in, and frowns. "This a bad time?" She asks, noticing my mother, "I can come back lat--" She gets hugged by my mother, and I feel my face burning. "You must be Dash." She says, releasing her from the hug, "I've heard a lot about you. I'm Vinyl's mom, Lily."
Somehow mom convinced me to let her stay in the guest room, at least until her house is ready. "Oh, I have to show you all this!" She say, pulling out a picture of me as a foal, "Wasn't she adorable?!" Tav is holding back laughter, and my cousin apparently couldn't contain his. To my surprise Dash is looking at every picture without a single sign of laughter. "Mom! Seriously, quit it!" I say, and she puts the picture away, "Thank you." I notice the disc, I must have forgotten to hide it! "What's this?" Mom asks, floating the disc over to her, "Omigosh! I haven't seen this in ages!" She puts the disc into the player, and turns on the TV. "Um, maybe we shouldn't?" I ask, trying to take the disc out. "Nope, we're watching it!" She actually floats me back to my pillow on the floor.... She's strong for a gardener. She hits play, and I cover my eyes dreading what was about to be seen.
I shuffled onstage, record in my mouth, and I look at the crowd staring. It was the talent show, and I had decided to try this DJing thing since I liked the music so much. "I can do this..." I reassure myself, and hop up grabbing the edge of the turntable... It was meant for a taller pony so I had to climb up the thing to get to the top. "Blah!" I exclaim as I spit the record in its place, and put the needle on top of it. "Heres we go!" I shout, as I start playing the song. The audience is eating it up, and then I accidentally step on the record, and start spinning on it. "I. Regret. Nothing!" I shout between giggles as I spin on the record for the rest of the song. Mom actually had to come up after the song to help me backstage. "Sorry mommy..." I say, crestfallen. I hear a shimmery noise, and the next thing I know my cutie mark appears! "Omigosh! Vinyl!" She hugs me, and the video ends.
I see Dash holding back laughter, and I turn a bright red,"Never again..." I say, as I take the disc out, and turn the TV off. --End of chapter 4

Ch.2 Is this what love feels like?
"I'm late!" I shout, cutting through a group of mares, "I can't believe I over-slept. Again!" As I get to the corner I turn, and the last thing I see before I fall is a rainbow.
"Agh, watch where you're..." I say, and look to see who hit me, "You're...beautiful."
Rainbow Dash looks up at me just a few feet away. "What did you say?" She asks, still shaken from the collision.
I realize what I said, and I can feel my face burning. "I mean, watch where you're going." I say, covering my face, "You coulda hurt me!" She helps me pick up my things.
"I'm so, so, sorry!" She says, and picks up my glasses, "Wait... you're DJ P0N-3?!"
"Um, yeah." I replied.I then cringed inwardly.
Way to be awkward Vy, especially in front of her.
"Really? I like your music. It's awesome!" She grinned at me.
"Nah, it's not that good." I said, blushing even brighter.
"Stop lying to yourself!" She hands me back my records, which i float with my magic, "This is some of the best music ever!"
My face turns scarlet red against my will. "You really think so?" I say, trying to hide my face.
"I know so!" She says, smiling even bigger, "Hey I gotta go check on Twilight. Said she had something to show me" I start to fantasize about what it would be like if we were together. "So how 'bout you give me a call later, and we can hang out?" She hands me a slip of paper with her number on it. As soon as I hear her say that, My heart skips a beat, the world around me disappears, and I find myself giggling.
"Oh, sorry 'bout that that..." I said as I took her number, and awkwardly put my glasses back on, "See ya later then!" She flies off, and I stare after her for who knows how long until I remember that I'm late for my shift at the club. "Oh, no!" I run to the club, records floating after me.-- End of chapter 2
