I've caused all this destruction. I have caused death to those who I had started to consider all my friends. I caused all of this through my disloyalty. The power that Tirek promised me? All a ruse. Only now do I realize that no amount of power is worth any friendship. And no power will close these wounds. Both the ones covering the lightweight body, of which you can hardly see her light yellow fur, and the ones cut deep into my heart and soul. Everything. Is gone.

It is because......I am you. I raise an eyebrow. Say what? How can a voice be me? I guess you could say that I am your inner soul. Um. Okay. Soooooo..........are you my conscience? In a way. Now, Rainbow. Do you see anything? I look around at my surroundings. Nega- WAIT! There is a small white light in the distance and I tell the voice this. Good. Walk towards it. Aren't you not supposed to walk towards the light? That means you're dead. Just go. I shrug and go with it. I mean, if it's my conscience telling me what to do, then I'm just following my gut, right? The light isn't as far as it looks and I end up in some weird place with trails made of........stars? Hey, conscience. Where am I? The land of dreams and memories. Many little screens pop up. I see my life in moving pictures. From my filly days in Cloudsdale to my days as weather captain in Ponyville. The last one is my most recent I guess. 'Cause I see me and my friends using Rainbow Power on Tirek. It looks so cool! But somehow, Tirek is able to beat it. He uses the magic that he absorbed to blast us. Then the screen goes black. What the HAY?! Conscience! What did you do? I did nothing. Your memories simply cease from there. .............I'm dead. Aren't I. I don't say it as a question. I know that it's a fact. And my conscience's silence only proves it. But I can't be dead. We still have to beat Tirek! I can't let him win! This is why you are the chosen one. What do ya mean? Your dedication to protecting your home and other ponies. Protecting Equestria. It is what has made you into the mare you are today. Why don't you have a seat and relax. I will tell you a story. My rump hits the ground as I sit with a pout. But it's not like I have anything better to do. There is an old prophecy that was written many years ago. In the reign of the Royal Sisters, four Princesses will rule. The Sun and the Moon in Canterlot. The Princess of Love in the Crystal Empire. And the one of Friendship in a small town. The youngest will have five friends, of whom each represent an aspect of friendship. Yet only one will have united them. The young mare will have done the impossible at a young age, connecting her with her friends. She will be the one to save Equestria when Harmony is at its end. She will be the Flame of Harmony. This unknown savior will exhibit extreme devotion and loyalty to all of pony kind. She will be willing to go the end to restore peace. Then, I saw nothing but white.

Maybe not. Fluttershy DID tell me that Rainbow Dash's loyalty helped save Rarity during the Best Young Fliers Competition. Maybe it is also bringing her back? Now her body is glowing. And........is that her Element gem floating from the Tree? No. It's all of the Elements. But ..........why?
Tirek's PowerView OnlineHarmony IncarnateTirek's PowerI don't understand how Rainbow Dash could have survived. Of course, she is the Element of Loyalty, but........Tirek's power. Even without my Chaos Magic, I could feel their life forces draining away. They had unlocked that special chest by the Tree of Harmony. Somehow their power had increased, magnified by at least a thousand percent! And the power was so great that they showed it outwardly as well. I guess the only way to describe it is.......Rainbow Power. Dash of course was the most impressive. Her trademark rainbow mane was a backward flowing mohawk. Everypony else had different shades of rainbow colors lining their manes and tails. Everypony had rainbow colored images of their elements spread across their bodies. When they used the full power, I thought we had won. I was sadly mistaken. "EEEEEEEENOUGH!" Tirek somehow blasted through the powers of Harmony and his magic hit the girls. I was helpless to do anything but watch. I can still hear their screams of pain. I see their faces.......pure terror. Yet, somehow, Rainbow Dash managed to keep a strong face and hold in her pain-filled cries. As they fell, I dove under to try to catch them all. But only Fluttershy was within my grasp. It was then that I realized.........it was already too late.

I raise my head to look at him. His expression is priceless. I would have laughed if I didn't feel such hatred. Such sadness. "How are you still living?! I honestly would have expected that puny little princess to survive a blast like that. Not one of her lackeys. Especially not a pathetic pegasus like you!" That was the last straw. I gently set Fluttershy down in a comfortable position and stand up, flaring my wings. "I'm not one of Twilight's lackeys. I'm one of her best friends!" I'm shouting now, allowing my voice to carry. I ever realized how serious I can sound. "I am Rainbow Dash! Bearer of the Element of Loyalty! Master of the Sonic Rainboom! I am the reason my friends are who they are today!" I feel weird. Tingly. Like something is happening to me. Yet I feel......calm. I feel like I'm home. Like I'm where I belong. Safe. "You really think nopony will stand up to you?! Think again, buster! I'm still here! And as long as I'm here, I will fight you! I won't let you win! I won't give up! I will give my life for Equestria!" I am somehow floating up now. But I focus on Tirek and what I have to do. "If I go down, I'm going to make sure you go down with me! Back to Tartarus!" That's when it all goes blank.
Prologue-No HopeView OnlineHarmony IncarnatePrologue-No HopeWhat is hope? I actually went to Twilight asking for a dictionary, because I wanted to know the definition. I bet you can guess what her face looked like. Twi actually took me to a lab room and hooked me up to different machines to check if I was okay! I was like, "Chillax, Twi! I'm not sick or anything. I just want to borrow a dictionary. No biggie." She still didn't seem convinced, but she gave me one anyway. So, the definition of "hope" is: A feeling that what is wanted will happen; desire accompanied by expectation........so in non-egghead speak, it means having faith that something good will come out of the bad. Now that I think about it, there are a few things around Ponyville that give me hope. A new sunrise powered by Princess Celestia, Pinkie Pie being her usual happy and random self, Twilight spending time with us. But the most common one for anypony, would have to be a rainbow. Ugh. Now I'm being all sappy. Whatever. Being myself, I love the way rainbows arch across the sky after a storm. Kinda reminds me of my Sonic Rainboom. It can be seen from so far away and makes so many ponies happy. The weird thing is, a lot of ponies around Ponyville say that I give them hope. What the hay? But, when I talked to my friends about it, they explained it. My rainbow trail lights up so many ponies hearts. I mean, sure I nap a lot. But, nopony has to worry about weather problems. I never leave Ponyville hanging. My friends said that I bring them hope, too. With me around, they feel safe. Maybe it's because I'm willing to give up my life for any one of them. They mean so much to me. I will travel to the ends of Equestria if only to save them and be there. Maybe they only feel this way because I'm the Element of Loyalty? Or maybe there is more to it than that. Does it have something to do with my Rainboom helping them get there cutie marks? Maybe I'll never know. All I know......is that whatever kind of awesome thing they think I can do......it is too late for that. Discord betrayed us to Tirek, a major bad guy who an important wizard named Star Swirl locked away in Tartarus. I don't how how he escaped, but he was able to take our magic. When Discord saw how important loyalty was, he gave Twi the key we needed to open the chest from the Tree of Harmony. The power I felt was amazing! I felt like nothing could stop us. But I was wrong. Tirek did. And now, whatever hope I felt, that my friends felt, has been taken. There is no more hope.
