Scratch upon a Vinyl.

Streets of Ponyville

It was getting late the street light's had came on lighting up Ponyville in a looming orange glow marking the path, the noticeable ring from the the confectionery shop door chimed it's tune and we all stepped out into the the ever slowly creeping night.

My dad came out not long after me,"We had best get moving before it get's to dark" he gestured looking around.

We was soon followed by my mum who was thanking the shop owner for the deserts, "yes dear, we will be home in a jiffy"

I started walking, faster then normal, it must of been that cupcake not having one in ages must of gave it a kick.

"Vinyl slow down sweety!" shouted my mum always trying to make sure I won't going to get in trouble everywhere I go.

"It's not like I am going to bump into any scary monst.."

I bumped straight into something tall and shaded, it's mane or fur was moving in a wave like way and it looked like it was was wearing a hood, it turned and seemed to look straight at me before it expanded big long wings and took off in a flash.

"What, was that!"

"Sweetie if I knew I would tell you straight away"

" we ought to be getting home, like right now you two!" my dad started to worry about us.

After a little bit of a walk we ended back at home where we would tun in for the night and await what brings tomorrow.

The Next Day

I awoke to smell daisy sandwiches, yet again I loved that my mum would get up early just to feed me and my mum for the morning and to keep us the day that awaited us, I ran downstairs stumbling due to the new house and it's new layout from my last homes, and found my dad had already eaten.

"Sorry Vinyl, you was to slow I had to eat your's too" patting his stomach from the inhale of food.

"Oh, stop teasing her, you know she loves daisy sandwiches in the morning!"

I sighed in relief into the fact I actually thought he was telling me the truth, I sat up at the table and dug into the morning's breakfast, and saw a white bag with a light blue edge and golden lock by the door.

"Why is there a random bag at the door mum?" stopping eating to ask my question

"It's your bag for school sweetheart" she replied whilst washing the dishes.

"Yeh you had better get going if you want to be there on time" commented my dad behind his newspaper.

"Oh, okay I will get going then" I grabbed the bag and threw it into my back and it sat one small bag on one side and another on the other side "cool!" I opened the door and headed towards Ponyville's Elementary school.

I walked past Sugar Cube Corner and a bunch of nicely done up houses, then to find myself at the outside fence of the school, I stood there thinking 'Is it just going to be the same as every other school I have been to where they all laugh at me? Well only one way to find out'

I started walking up the path to be tackled by, yes you guessed it, "Pinkie, what was that for?"

"I just wanted to surprise you because I love surprises don't you!" smiling furiously whilst laying on my back.

"Hahaha, that was pretty funny, hey want to walk to class with me?"

"Okie dokie lokie!" she started bouncing next to me at a pace where I could keep up, and we both went inside.

"Hey Pinkie, Vinyl, come over here!" AppleJack bawled across the room.

We both wandered over to see two empty seats "Uhm is this my seat?"

"yes indeedy, we asked miss Love Lock if you could sit next to us" replied AppleJack with a smug grin.

The door opened and two mares came in one young and one a little bit older "Right class we have a visitor here she will be helping here because she wants to be a teacher when she is older, so class say hello to Miss Cheerlie!"

The class looked towards her and called "Hello Miss Cheerlie!"

"We also have a new student, Vinyl? where are you dear, ah there you are why dont you come up front and tell us about your self"

I sat stiff as a tree "Ahh horse apples!"

I got to my hooves and walked to the front, I turned facing all the glaring eyes shooting razors at me I simply said "uhmm, hi my name is Vinyl Scratch and I just moved into Ponyville"

"well done Vinyl, now everybody say hello to vinyl, ready 1, 2, 3"

"Hello Vinyl!" everyone said in unison except for Pinkie who shouted a second after.

Throughout the school day Miss Cheerlie and Miss Love Lock was going around helping everybody throughout each criteria, especially AppleJack when we had moved onto mathematics.

"A darn hate mathematics, it just boggles ma mind!"

Pinkie commented straight after getting AJ out of her funk "boggledy woggledy" rotating her hooves around her head and sticking her tongue out, staright away causing a fit of laughter, to then be hushed by Miss Love Lock.

About an hour later the school bell chimed and everyone was sent on home.

"Hey Vinyl, are you coming out today we will show some more of our friends?"

"I would love that Pinkie, is AJ coming?"

"Yeh, we can go get Rarity too!"

"Rarity?"

"she is another friend of ours, she helps at the boutique with her mother"

"yeh okay Pinkie call for me when you are ready!"

With a play date arranged I headed home to get ready and await my new friends to call for me ' I wonder what this Rarity is like?'
