Chapters The Adventures of Ekko & Scribble
E&S Cha 1
A dirty-pink colored hoof stepped into view, followed by another. And another. Continuing on their merry way. Well, not very merry really they were a bit... sluggish. The beating steps on the dirt road were one of the few sounds that could be heard. Besides, you know, the fading sounds of the village, and the growing natural chirps and the soft wind. It was about midday.
Now back to the hooves--which if we travel up--belonged to the rest of a dirty-pink colored fur body. Her mane and tail was a beautiful stunning lavender which shined in the sunlight. They were highlighted with a gorgeous cyan blue. Two blue eyes looked ahead. Small bags hung beneath them, from having to wake up in the middle of the day, but had a tiny, pleased smile on her face, knowing it was worth it and to top it all off, black-grey bat wings lied on her back. Plus, a pretty gold bracelet with a flying bird on an infinity symbol, which was sited on her left-fore leg.
Her name--Scribble Pen, a very , tried bat pony at the moment. She was just walking back from Rarity's place. The white unicorn had let her use some fabric and some 'help' to sew a present. A yawn started to form, deep down in the pit of her stomach, but Scribble didn't want to let it win so she tried really, really hard to keep her mouth shut but sadly the yawn won this completely and incredible needless battle. And so she yawned.
The only reason she even had to get up in the middle of the day was cause her stupid sister would be asleep. And her birthday would be the next night.
Isn't there a word for that? I don't know, I'm too sleepy.
As she continues to trot forward, a big yellow blob with pink hat and a tiny white bookbag was bouncing froward up and down the road. That nice. It walked closer. Wait a minute--the blob walked a bit closer, and she walked some more closer to get a better view. Hold up...that's Fluttershy! With that annoying bunny of hers. Another yawn.
Damn it, I'm so tried. Plus I forgot my contacts.
Anyway, Scribble waved to her as they were meeting about halfway. "Hey there Flutters, what's up?" Scribble says.
The kind mare look at her and thought for a second and then said, "Oh, um... the sky?" She looked up to add to the joke.
"Oh, okay..." Scribble started to say. "Wait a minute!" She says a little louder, eyes widening. Scribble -the best bat pony around (and probably the only)- just got severed by the kindness mare around. When she calms down and giggles. Fluttershy joins in. "You've been hanging with Ekko too much." Scribble says as she finished laughing.
"I'm doing well. I'm just going to the market to get some food." That stupid bunny of hers stomps one of his feet on her back. "Oh, I mean we." She corrected. Scribble rolls her eyes at the bunny on Fluttershy's back, which stood in between her wings. "Oh, what's that?" She points at a red wrapped box with a yellow bow, which laid on Scribble's back between her wings.
"It's a present for Ekko." The bat pony then smiles proudly and puffs out her chest as she says the next line. "I made it."
"Is the party still tomorrow night? At the clearing?" Her soft voice pretty much put Srcibble to sleep. Though there was a small creak in its hen Fluttershy said clearing , but Srcibble didn't notice it.
"Yawn...I mean, yeah, starts an hour before sunsets. "
"Oh, dear, shouldn't you still be sleeping?" She asks, worry flashes on in her blue eyes.
"Yes, but I can last for like ten more minutes before I finally pass out." Scribble smiles crazy like. Then she asks, "Hey, can you do me a favor?"
"Of course." She says with a small kind smile. "What is it?"
"Can you hide this in your cottage till tomorrow? I know Ekko will find it if it's in the house."
"Sure!" She chirps happily.
Scribble put the gift on her back between her wings, beside Devil... I mean Angel.
Not.
He looks at it before giving it a kick. Not really hard enough to throw it over, but just enough to move it an inch. Not wanting to him to damage the gift, Scribble lets out a low growl and shows him her fangs, to remind him that she eats meat. His ears fold back and his eyes widen because he knows she will do it and -him being a smart bunny- puts the gift back to where it was, and for good measure, gives it a little pet.
"Good." Scribble smiles. He quickly hopes into Fluttershy's mane to hide till the fanged beast was gone. "Well then." She says aloud. "I pretty sure I hear my soft, warm bed calling me. So got to go. See ya." Her legs almost giving out if she would have stood there, so still, any moment longer.
"Okay. Rest well." Fluttershy says as they part ways. As Scribble starts heading back to her house in the Everfree Forest, she must have fallen asleep standing up -but evidently she had keep walking - as the next thing she knows, she slams straight into her door.
"Ow! Who puts a door here?" She mumbles as she thrust it open. She walks passed the storage room/desk space on the right. The sight of the stairs on the left greets her - as do doors to the bathroom and the kitchen. Further ahead is the room Ekko and her share.
As she walks into the room, passes by Ekko's bed, next to the door and heads straight to the other one on the other side. Her soft, warm bed that has been calling her the whole freaking morning. As she flops down on it without a care in the world, don't you it? There's someone there already.
"Ekkooo!" Scribble whines. "You're in my bed again." The under the blankets only grumbles in her sleep in reply. Damn it -she's a deep sleeper- so there's no point to trying to wake her. "Fine, you mutt, but only because you're really soft and cuddly and I really don't want to get up again."
A small smile appears on her face in response.
"I hate you." The bat pony , ears folding flat on head, she says as she puff her cheeks and lays back down. Ears pop back up and a smile grows as she starts to drift off with the soft wolf fur beside her warming her up.
(about 2 hours before sunset)
Warmth. The Ekko was used to it. She probably went to sleep on Srcibble's bed, again.
Ha in her smug little bat-pony face, ha-ha.
Ekko slowly cracks open an eye. And find dirty pink fur under my nose. She looks to see what awkward position they were in this time. Oh ok, it not as weird as other times. There have been some where one of them had ended up on the floor, and others where they were in one another's wings and one particularly interesting time when Ekko ended up outside. The important thing to remember about that was all the doors and windows were locked ! Anywho, but today just a basic cuddle.
Now how will I wake you up this time.
An evil grin appears on Ekko's face. "Alright Srcibble, say nothing if you want me to wake you up." No answer but the soft breathing of the bat pony. She chuckles evilly. "Ok your choice." Ekko put her paws on Scribble's chest and push her off.

thud! That's all Ekko heard.
You know, for like two seconds before the bat pony screamed out Ekko's name, eyes turned red, and chased the poor, 'innocent' winged wolf though their house. After a good five minutes of cat and mouse, Ekko had lost Srcibble, by throwing a blanket -from the desk room- on her head. Right now she should be escaping the blanket.
Ekko had stood in front of the bed room, trying to think. She was a wolf...with wings.
That not important...right now.
Anywho, she was mostly grey with turquoise on her back, which ran up the back of her neck and down covering all her tail, back and ears. Some white on her belly, chest and chin. Her wings following the same pattern, with the tips lightly colored of turquoise a grey middle and the wing bone white. Brown eyes and as well as a bearly visible sliver chin on neck with a small blue crystal. As weird as it was to not to have no 'mane' of any sort she only had A ruffled smooth head.
Her wings twitch as she look around, panicked, for a place to hide. There was the brick fire place, pictures of their family and friends covered the shelf, with two cushions, one light blue and the other pink, in front. A third sea green cushion to the side. Nope, bad hiding place; too in the open.
Then there was the beds. She couldn't hide on the bed.
Because I know my sweet, dear, blood thirsty sister of mine would find me to fast. But maybe...under it?
Which if she were to make it she would just barely fit under. But thanks to the scream of Scribble and the wonderful instinct to run and hid, which by the way is the best ability to have -so treasured it for when you're trying to escape a maniac. Plus with the fear of death from her own sister, Ekko jumped, literally at the opportunity.
Now....now Ekko was under there, cramped, but safe. Ekko saw her sister step into the room. "Come out, come out where ever you are. I won't kill you. I promise." Ekko rolled her eyes.
Ya right, liar
"I'm just going to hurt you. Very badly." An evil, insane smile painted Srcibble's face.
No thanks. I actually want to keep my bones the way they are.
Srcibble walks out the room to look upstairs, which lead to the outside bridge. For later
All right, think, Ekko. What can you do?
Her brown eyes scan the room for anything. But all she there is are cushions and the green pillows that were tossed over from Scribble's bed. An idea pops into her head, and a smirk appears on her face. She crawls out and grabs all the pillows, blankets, and cushions as quick as possible and forms a pile in the middle of the room. Her ears flicks when she hears the crakes of stairs as Scribble comes back down. She flys into the pile and waits.
this is never going work
Scribble couldn't find that stupid wolf upstairs. She knew Ekko was not dumb enough to go across.
well maybe
No she would hide in the house. Where? -was the problem. Ekko always changed where she hid. Best place to look was where the beds were. But what Srcibble finds just proves her theory. There, in the middle of the room, was a stack of all the pillows, cushions and blankets. She walked up to it, and checks it out.
Ekko pounced out grabbing her and pulling her into the pile. A pillow fight broke out. Giggles filling the room.
After about a good ten minutes, the two flopped down on the a pillow and cushion. "Happy early birthday, Ekko." Scribble said with a tried grin.
"Thanks" Ekko panted, her tongue remained to the side like...a dog. "So we doing anything today?"
"Yep," Scribble said as she closed her eyes. "We're going to take a nap."
Ekko pouted, "But you know I can't sleep once I wak-" Srcibble had walked over to her and cuddle up, having her head on Ekko back and so Ekko could lay her head on Srcibble back. Dear, bat pony Srcibble had already fall asleep. Ekko pouted and lay her head down on Srcibble's back. Closed her eyes and day dreamed.
**Wavy effect, wavy effect**
Flapping my wings, I flew
Down below the earth grew
Tall and strong as they were
they are humble to the core
For as time stops
so must we
As the wind blows
we must follow
This makes no sense
I understand
The sea shake
we hide in the sand
But for now and only then
will we appreciate the moment
**I created this. For no reason Don't question it.

Now where is that Luna
Ekko thought as she searched for the night mistress. As she reached the corners. There was no sign of the blue mare.
If she not in my dream, then she must be exploring another. So how do I command her? I could yell and scream but some children are asleep. I need something soft and mellow. How about a howl? Ya, something gentle and loud. But what?

The adventures of E&S
Chapter 3
Ponypawz
Well I don't really know what to do so might as well look around at what my mind has created this time
Ekko landed in a small clearing. The forest was big and you couldn't see that a lot light. The only light coming in was some form the sky, but that wasn't much. The tree seemed to be a weird mixture of black, white, gray and a little color. Giving it a weird vibe/feel. There was fog too.
Like what it would be if you were in a nightmare. But that's just it, it didn't feel like a nightmare to Ekko. No, this was home. The ever changing forest. The Everfree. Well not exactly, this is still the mind. Plus it's Ekko's personal Everfree, so shush.
The forest, for a second, waved. Like literally, the trees and ground did like a wavy effect. Snow starts to fall and then a piano started to play. Softly. As in faded into the dreamscape. Ekko knew this song and would sing it when alone or in the dream world.
A pony statute appeared. My sister, Srcibble, stood there as a lifeless statue. I walked up to it. Putting my paw on its cheek.
Dear rabbit, my legs are getting weak... chasing you
The statue backs away and starts to run. I chase after it.
And the snowfields... Wouldn't seem so big, if you knew
The statue does some turns awhile running. Ekko following close behind.
That this blood on my teeth, it is far beyond dry...
They come into a clearing. She jumps up, tackling it down.
And I've captured you once, but it wasn't quite right...
Ekko stand over it, ready to kill, but...
She can't. The statue now showing emotions-fear.
So I'm tellin' you.. That you'll be safe with me.
She steps off it and offers it her paw. It looks at the paw and then at her. Giving her a questioning look.
Wolves of the timber come out of the shadows and sing;
(Ooo)
Oh rabbit, my claws are down now so don't be afraid...
It slowly rises its hoof.
I can keep you warm, as long as you can just try... To be brave!
The statue, hoof now on Ekko paw, pulls itself up.
Yes I know I'm a wolf, and I've been known to bite,
Ekko wigs her tail, happily.
But the rest of my pack... I've left them behind
The timber wolves look at her with discussed and a little disappointed. But slowly that changes to ones of approval and hope.
And my teeth may be sharp, and I've been raised to kill...
Ekko jumps into a playful standees.
But the though of fresh meat... It's making me ill!
The pony like statue looks to her like she crazy, but also, slowly, gets into a playful standees
So I'm telling you... That you'll be safe with...
We play a game of chase. After a few seconds of that, we end up on a cliff.
(music fade out for a sec(you know like in the song))Me, Eee, Ooo, Ooo...
Ekko howls. A deep, loud, long howl. Which was heard throughout the dreamscape. Monsters and other fear-like-creature hunting little fouls and a few adults, stopped as they heard the howl. They walked to the side of the dream, turned into shadows and smokes, disappearing pass the dreamlands. The nightmares turned dreams.
Luna was just about to head into a crying filly' bad dream when she heard it. The filly' bad dream turned into nothing more than a dream. "Hey! Ekko that's my job" The blue mare said to herself as she headed to the wolf's dream.
The wolf and statue walked into a nearby cave, and laid down, tired from all the running.
So rabbit, please stop looking the other way...
The statue looks at the entrance.
It's cold out there... So why not stay here, under my tail...?
Ekko puts her wing around the thing as the music fades.
Everything disappeared with only Ekko standing there, but she kept her eyes closed. The smoke and shadows of the other nightmares gard and swirled in front of the wolf. Creating a figure.
"Well then, that was not as dark as others but still a little depressing" A male voice said. Ekko opened her eyes to find a wolf that look similar to Ekko. But where the white once was, there was now black. The turquoiseblue now red. The grey was still grey though. He stood just slightly bigger than Ekko.
"Well, hi to you too, Tardis." She smiled as she walking over to him and rubbed her head against his.
Tardis, her Neo, greeted her before stepping back and smiling, "happy happy birthday," he started to sing. "To you and you" Ekko rolled her eyes and just smiled and laughed. Taking his muzzle in her paws, she made him shut up.
"Ok ok, it's my birthday, not my death day." She giggle, releasing him.
With mock sarcasm that's particularly dripping, he put a paw on his chest and with fake horror, "Are thou accusing we of such fate. We can sing, if we want and if thou must know." He stuck his tongue out.
Ekko was about to rebuttal on that but a wave of air washed through the dreamland. "Oh, lulu's here!" She grinned as the lunar princess landed. Ekko ran to her, jumping up and tackling her down.

"So how are you feeling?" Ekko asked the princess of the night after she got off her.
"I feel stronger. Luna said, stretching. Being tackled by the winged wolf was no small fee. Instead of the blue mare we come to love in the show--
"Hey! That's my job!!!" Yelled a pink mare from beyond.
wait what! How...she...wat!?! ...You know what... screw it. Let's continue.
Shaking that off...um... oh yeah--
Instead, there stood a mare with a mane slightly full of stars. With a mix of black splats and dots all over her light blue body. Funny thing about that, was that the splats and dots moved. Like her mane, they grew and shrunk and move around.
For example; one started on her neck, about the size of a baseball, and travel down to her chest, growing to a small wagon wheel. Then travel to her back and shrink to a marble. There were different ones growing and shrinking, never stoping. There was no pattern to it, it was just there.
"Tea and cookies?" Tardis asked.
"That would be quite welcome please." She answered happily. The red wolf snapped two of his digits (it pretty much works like Discord's lion paw) with a loud snap and quick flash of light, a small table appeared. The three sat down. Luna taking a cup of tea, and Ekko taking a cookie, Tardis staying content with neither.
The smiles fell and the emotionless faces came. Ekko taking a bite into the cookie before she began, "It's getting nearer. In about a week- maybe two- you'll be back. Your spirit is getting stronger. The moon and stars are alining. But this means your Neo is getting stronger as well. When you return, she may--" Ekko paused for a just a quick second before continuing. The other two noticed this and knew why.
Death was something the wolf thought of often. Even when the wolf killed, it was with respect, never playing with the prey, never killing for fun. It was always the happiest friends that you have to watch. Not the strongest nor the smartest or the outsiders. But the happiest. They are, most times, in pain and just want to please their friends.
"-she will be out of control once you get here." Ekko stated and it was true, the mare in front of them seemed more...colorful. Darker blue fur, brighter eyes, and her mane was beginning to have stars and move. Not many, not much. But it was a change. Ekko took another bite of her cookie before continuing "But we sense the one chosen will be coming soon. Celestia says she has found her and will be sending her here. To make friends and make things right once more."
Luna, at the name of Celestia, froze for just a second. Again, the other two in the 'room' caught it. We will get back that that.
Luna finished her tea. Ekko finished her cookie and Luna picked up after Ekko, not in food wise but in talking wise, "We understand this..." she drew a breath. "will be our last conversation till we may return. Nightmare will soon take over our mind once more." Luna sighed, "While we shall not remember half, if any of our conversations." This was the death. Not the part where the friend leaves, but the part where the friend forgets. It hurts to be lifted but kills to be forgotten.
"This means well for Nightmare shall not think of thee. Thee will not be attacked. But we shall miss thee for being our friend through these final weeks of our punishment. So...thank you. For sharing thee mind and being our friend."
At this point, Luna had stood up and walked over to Ekko before putting both hooves around her neck. Ekko, being the support, only put one paw around her barrel. They simply squish closer together, hoping that they didn't have to let go. Tardis even had a small sad look on his face. All three of them knowing what will happen next.
The two broke their hug, nodding to each other. Tardis walked up to Luna and gave her a deep bow. His nose just barely hitting the ground. When he got back up, Luna walk over to him and gave him a quick pat on the head before leaning closer and rubbing their heads together. They closed their eyes savoring it a little longer.
And before any of you even think about these two being a ship...No. Just no. In Luna's case, she missed her Neo and Tardis was the closest thing to her's. Nightmare was once Dream a thousand years ago...
For Tardis, being a Neo, Neo meaning an imaginary friend, meant you can never be touched, and while this was in the dream realm, it still had meaning. Luna was to him almost like Ekko was to him. Almost.
They broke apart and nodded to each other. Ekko stood next to Tardis. Luna spread her wings, about to take off, before she look back at the wolf and the Neo. She flapped her wings and flew to the edge of the dream world. Stop, turned one finally time, and waved fair well. Then just like that, she was gone.
"Good luck and goodbye" Ekko whispered.
Tardis rubbed her back. Ekko didn't cry, she was just sadden. But she knew that she can always redo their friendships with Luna. She didn't like doing that but at least she will have a friend in the near future.
After a minute, she took a deep shaky breath. "Alright let's wake up." With that, she blinked and, just like that, she was back in the waking world.
Author's Note
Sorry it took me...what? Before the beginning of the year?
I have had a a lot going on at home.
I've been trying to get back but it's hard. But don't worry summer is coming. I'll be trying to push the story a long a little more. Plus some of the story drawing I have been working on.
Plus this almost made a hundred word count. So I feel kinda proud.
Hope you enjoyed the chapter ^.^
The Adventures of Ekko & Scribble
Ekko stood up. But then felt super light headed, like usual, her heart began to beat a little faster and harder. The edges of her vision darken. With all these little things, she fell to the ground. "I'm ok" she whimpered as she lay limp on the floor for half a minute.
Srcibble, being used to this, didn't even respond. Ekko got up slowly. The wolf's bones cracked and broke loose of their relax form. Once she was up on four legs, she stretched her back. During all of this, the cracks fill the room. Then she took a step forward and stretched her hind legs, one by one.
Finally, once all of that was done, she shook her body to release all the tension cause by the stretching. While I'm sure you enjoy this stretching section, let us move on to the next thing.
Ekko, finally got the evening broken in, walk to the window to see what time is it. But instead she got the lovely view of a lot of trees. That's what you get for thinking she can look out the window in the freaking forest.
She grumbled, "Damn it". She turned around and headed for the stairs, taking one step at a time. Once up the stairs, she open the door to find the balcony. It was a pretty big area, so it acted like a living room for the girls when ever they had company over.
There were walls on both sides of the room but as soon as you walk in the it's the it's like a giant window to the outside nature. But instead it wasn't windowed, it was open for the air to breath in. The view was simply looking at the trees. Looking forward was nice. There were two small bird houses hung to the trees, but they were to small for an actual bird to fit in. They like to make their own nest anyway, or steal them, however the lizards and PicklePop used them for a quick safe place if a storm ever was at play.
Of course it was fenced incase a unicorn, earth pony or any other wingless creature ever came to visit. Though usually most of the creatures who came to visit carried wings on their backs. In the middle of the fences was a gate if you ever wanted a quick way down or if you're crazy enough to go for a fly.
The bridge that was mentioned earlier stood at the farthest left. Two wood poles standing about a pony and a half width apart. If taken, it leads to a clearing about a good bit in the forest. An area closer to Cantrlot. The bridge was put so that it could... Actually it was won by a bet. So there no actual purpose but to get from here to there and so we can play 'trees'.
Now then- there's a story to be told, not details to be wrote. Back to the wolf, who walk to the fence, putting her front paws over, so she was standing on her hind legs. She look up and found the sun just about to set, you see cause she was facing the west.
And this is what her mind picked up from all that-
...sun...set...west... Sun of a horse I'm tired. Wasn't there supposed to be something...that needs my attention?
And then the squirrel came.
