Rarity continued to watch the movie but seemed to be distracted by her own thoughts. Richard glanced over a few times. He noticed that she was not longer interested in the popcorn. Once the movie was finished, he helped her up and then slowly walked holding her side. The parking lot was almost empty at this time of night. Before Richard had a chance to grab his remote, she used her magic to unlock the SUV and opened the doors.

The drive home was quiet as he looked over to check. Rarity clothing glowed a light blue as it was pulled off her and neatly folding before landing in the back seat.

“So did you enjoy the movie?” He asked her trying to break the silence.

“Yes, it was a unique experience,” She said sounding more formal.

“Is there something bothering you?” Richard asked as he tried to keep his focus on the road.

“Of course, something is bothering me, Everything in fact! I have been living a lie, Richard,” Rarity said sounding very upset.

The SUV parked in the driveway and the passenger door opened. Rarity jumped out and landed on all fours. She quickly unlocked the house door with her magic and went inside before Richard had a chance to say anything. With a sigh, he reached inside the SUV, grabbed the clothing and then went inside and locked the doors.

Later that night...

Richard laid in his bed dressed in PJ’s, he could hear Rarity in the next room crying. The minutes ticked on and he started rolling from side to side, he tried to sleep but his body refused to listen. After a few minutes, he gave up and kicked himself out of bed. Slowly he walked in the dark to the extra bedroom and could hear her crying and mumbling to herself. Richard knocked on the door.

“Per… Rarity can I come in?” He asked in a quiet voice.

“There is nothing you can do Richard, I am sorry for keeping you awake,” She said sniffing.

“I don’t mind,” He said and slowly opened the door.

He found her lying on top of the bed sheets rubbing her eyes with her front legs, her nose was wet from crying. Richard spotted the box of kleenex and grabbed a small handful of tissues and then sat down on the edge of the bed.

“I’m a horrible pony,” Rarity said, looking at Richard.

“Why do you say that?” He asked and rubbed her nose dry with some kleenex.

“I forgot my friends, my sister, my home and I was happy here not knowing,” She answered feeling terrible.

“But you remember now and I am sure they have not forgotten about you,” Richard said.

“I’m one of the elements of harmony, I should be there helping Twilight. Who knows what might have happened to them without me,” Rarity said with more tears.

“There are still many things, I don’t understand about you and the world that you come from, What is the last thing you remember,” He said and wiped some of the tears away from her face.

“We were running away from a horde of Changelings and Twilight suggested that we use Queen Chrysalis’s viewing mirror to escape. There was a flash of green magic that hit the mirror just as I stepped into it. Then I remember the two bright lights from your car,” She said and rolled over burying her face in the pillow. “I am trapped here with no way home,”

“My home is your home until you find your way back,” He said, feeling a tear running down his cheek.

Richard laid down next to her, feeling some dampness in the pillow. He reached over and wrapped his arm around her. His fingers gently stroked her smooth white fur. She started to calm down and laid still. After a while, Rarity fell asleep, so Richard rolled gently off the bed and walked back to his room.

Sometime in the middle of the night he woke up and made a quick stop in the bathroom. When he slipped back into the bed he noticed that Rarity was lying next to him with her eyes close.

“Pearl… Rarity?” He said and corrected himself.

“I don’t mind if you call me that,” She said in a soft voice.

“You should be in your own bed,” Richard said looking at her.

“Please just for tonight,” Rarity said, opening her eyes half away.

“Fine,” He said, giving in to sleep.

Richard awoke to the sound of dishes and the fresh smell of coffee being made. He slowly sat up on the side of the bed rubbing his eyes and then let out a yawn. Blinking his eyes open, he looked back at the bed and noticed a few strands of white fur. He then felt his cat rubbing against his leg. Reaching down, he picked up the cat and stroked its head and then along its back. Richard placed the cat on the bed and went out into the hallway.

He walked into the kitchen to find Rarity wearing a short apron. She must have already taken a shower because her purple mane was combed, her fur was clean and she smelled like hair conditioner. Her horn glowed a gentle blue as she poured cereal, milk, coffee and pushed down on the toaster all at the same time.

“Good morning Richard dear, breakfast is almost ready,” She said in a gentle voice.

“Ya umm, good morning Pr… Rarity,” He said raising an eyebrow.

Just as he was going to grab the chair it glowed and moved for him. Richard sat down and the chair pushed its self-closer to the table. He looked down to see, his breakfast already made and ready to eat . The toaster popped up and the toasted bread was lifted and buttered in the air before landing on his plate next to the bowl of cereal.

“It's still amazing to see you use your magic,” Richard said and then took a sip of coffee. “How are you feeling today?” He asked still worried.

“I’m still sad, but I want to apologize for ruining our evening, you have been so kind to me, I wanted to repay your kindness,” Rarity said and sat down.

Richard stood up and walked behind her chair and then pushed it closer to the table, she looked up at him and he smiled.

“That’s what friends are for,” Richard said and then sat back down in his chair.

She smiled, but a part of her wanted him to say something more. Putting that thought out of her mind, she then focused on breakfast. Rarity enjoyed her oat bran, soy milk, a whole wheat bread and a tall glass of apple juice. She used her magic and ate from a large spoon that floated in the air. Richard ate breakfast thinking about last night, wondering if he would have felt the same way if he got stuck in her world. After breakfast Rarity tried to clean up but he insisted on cleaning the dishes for her.

“Richard, can you take me back to the place where you found me?” She asked noticing Richard's face drop.

“If that is what you want, do you think there is a way back to your world?” He asked her.

“Maybe, perhaps, I don’t know… but if there is a chance,” Rarity said having mixed feelings. Sure, she wanted to go home, but the thought of leaving Richard hurt.
