Ace Combat Sky Wanderers

At the skies of Canterlot, one out of five allied aircraft (three F-16s active, while an F -15E still remains air worthy) struggles to maintain air superiority against the Erusean squadron, Albireo. One of the allied pilots that was shot down that bailed out has been killed while bailed from his plane, torned to shreds by bullets that were fired from Shadow Blade, Schnitter.

"Heheh!" Shadow laughed and sighs. He then said, "You`re not an entertainment to me. But, you do put up a show, barely!"

"Razor 1, sir! The Schnitters on your tail! Turn hard!" One of the pilots calls out to the pilot of the F -15E, still struggling against Shadows wingman, Dimitri Asulf.

"Ngh!" The F -15E pilot shrugs, as he tries to get him out of his tail. But it was no use, Shadow still kept on tailing him.

"I can't shake him!" He yells in panic, as he felt it`s over for him.

Shadow looks onto his gauge, and he got locked on the F -15E, and smiles. "I have you know, Lil pest! Say good night!" He grins, as his finger was about to pull the trigger.

But, a sudden call from Dimitri yells at Shadow, "Commander! Missile in bound onto your three o`clock!" Shadow looks to his side, and sees a missile. He immediately pulls up, and avoids the missile. He angrily growls, "What the tartarus?!"

Shadow turns where the missile came from, and see that there`s to ASF-X Shinden IIs heading into the battle zone.

It was Nicholas and Aaron that took off from the air base.

"Attention all allied units!" Called Nicholas voice, "Enemy bomber squadron`s heading towards the city and the air base! Pull together and defend this area at all costs!"

The pilot of the F-15E then responded, "Who`s this?!"

"This is Nicholas Ivanson and Aaron OMatty! Were the replacement pilots for those fighter jets! We're here to help!"

But the F-15E pilot stutters, "Kids?! Piloting fighter jets?! Wha-"

"There`s no time to explain! We have to secure air superiority above Canterlot and the air base!" Nicholas said on the radio, telling the pilots to focus on the enemy and protect the city and air base.

The F -15E pilot sighs, and said, "Alright!" The pilot turns to his squadron and calls, "All remaining units, listen up! Nicholas and his friend are going to need some help from us! Enemy bomber squadrons heading to bomb the city and our air base! We cant let them handle this alone! Let`s back them up!"

"Roger!" His team complies, as they break away to deal with the enemy fighters attacking the city, following their flight lead.

Shadow, angered of losing his prey, turns to the two planes that Nicholas and Aaron are flying. "Youre going to pay for it!" He anger sighs, as he calls to Dimitri, "Albireo 2! Come with me, weve got ourselves some party crashers here! Let`s get them!"

"Roger that, Shadow!" Dimitri replies, as they regrouped and heads to engage Aaron and Nicholas in two-versus-two dogfight.

Nicholas looks in front of his plane, and sees the group of enemy bombers and escorts of MIG-33s. Nicholas radios to Aaron, "Aaron! I spotted enemy bomber formation, five miles ahead of us!"

"Let`s go get them!" Aaron replies.

Nicholas looks down in his fighter jet controls, and clicks the master weapons switcher. He then moves his thumb the joy stick to switch to advanced medium range air-to-air missiles (XMAA6) AMRAAMs.

He calls to Aaron, "Aaron! Switch to your special weapons! We`re gonna try to take the enemy bombers at once!"

"Roger, Nick!" Aaron complies, doing the same thing that Nicholas done. They approach the enemy bomber formation, but Aaron notices that enemy fighter are heading their way. Seven escorting the bombers, and two more from behind them.

"Nick!" Aaron calls to Nicholas, "Enemy fighters are coming at us! Seven ahead, and two on our backs!"

"I know!" Nicholas stated, "Lets give `em hell, Aaron!"

Aaron heard his gauge let out a loud 'beep', telling him that hes locked onto enemy fighters ahead. "Aaron here, Fox three!" He shouted, as he pulls the trigger, sending six of his AMRAAMs missiles at the enemy fighters instead of the bombers. Nicholas didnt pull the trigger, as he lets his step-brother to bag some kills.

Watching his missiles fly at the MIGs, all of them made contact with the enemy fighters, leaving only one MIG-33 stranded. But, shrapnel of the other MIGs that were hit, rained on the remaining MIG-33, as small pieces flies into its left engine intake, and cause one of the MIG-33s engine to be badly damaged.

The MIG-33 bugged out, withdrawing from the air space. Nicholas then cheers to Aaron, "THATS WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT, BRO! YOU TOO OUT ALL THE ENEMY ESCORTS IN ONE GO!"

"WHHEEEWW YEAH, BABY!" Aaron cheers, only to nod his head. He still kept his hands onto his plane`s controls.

"Alright, Aaron!" Nicholas calls to him on the radio. "We have to go after the enemy bombers!"

Aaron re-focuses, and replies, "Copy that, bro! Let`s get them!" Aaron increases thrusts of his plane, and pursues the bomber formation.

Nicholas only nods his head, and follows after Aaron. He increases thrust to follow behind him.

Seeing what just happened, Shadow and Dimitri were shocked to see one pilot took out all the escorts in one shot. Shadow felt outraged, as he seen the plane took out his comrades.

"S-Shadow!" Dimitri stutters, "D-did you just saw wha-"

"I know!" Shadow snarls with rage, gripping onto his joy stick and thrusters angrily. "Hes had a lucky shot on them! And they shouldve moved before it happened!"

Shadow turns to his wingman, and said, "You go after the other plane, I`ll go after the one who took out the escorts!"

Dimitri was going to say something, but he knows that he`s not in a mood for any responses. "R...Roger, sir!" He replied, as he and Shadow increase thrusts to go after Aaron and Nicholas.

Back at the air base; in the control room, the radar specialist watches in amazement of how Nicholas and Aaron cause damage to the enemy attacking forces.

"Sir!" He said to Brigadier General Cowens. "Aaron O`Matty bagged all six MIG-33s, and one of them is retreating from the airspace so far!"

The enemy bomber squadron are now struggling to evade Aaron and Nicholas, and one by one of bombers are now being shot down.

"Now, Nicholas bagged six TU-95 Bears and Aaron attacked one of them! Only five bombers left, sir!" He said, and recalls, "Now Aaron attacked another one, and Nicholas another! Three bombers left! And they`re appeared to be B-2s!"

"Thats unbelievable!" Cowens urges, shocked of how to two autistic boys performed in the air combat. "They didnt even train! Those two are unbelievably fighting like actual aces!"

"Yes, sir! They`re definitely on fire so far!" The second in command, Lieutenant Colonel Shani smiles.

The pilot of the F-15E that Nicholas saved calls in and informs, "Base! All enemy attacking fighters above the city has been eliminated! Three shot down, while the last one bugged out!"

"We confirmed! Good job, guys! Return to base and refuel! Two of our pilots out there needs your help!" The radar specialist complies, as the pilot responds, "Yes sir!"

The F-15E and the three F-16s heads to their base for refueling. Cowens was in deep shock to see that the enemy forces are crumbling, because of the help from Nicholas and Aaron.

'How in the hell did that kid Nicholas learned to fly like this?!' Cowens thought, as his mind started to run. But he smiles, admits that Nicholas CAN be useful for once. 'Nicholas is some kind of kid that can make difference after all!'

"Sir!" The radar specialist gets Cowens` attention. "Radar just picked up enemy attackers heading towards our base, about thirty miles away! Counting seven SU-25s!"

"Call Nicholas or Aaron to deal with them!" Cowens complies, as the radar specialist nods, "On it!"

"Aaron! Lets get these last three bombers! Becareful of your missiles usage, because theyre stealth bombers B-2s! And they can evade your missiles!" Nicholas calls Aaron through the radio, as Aaron replies, "Roger! I have three missiles in reserve left! Switching to guns!"

Nicholas watches as Aaron closes in on a B-2, and fires his guns. The bullets from Aaron`s plane shreds the first B-2, and Aaron turns to the next one and demolishes another. Nicholas then finishes off the last bomber firing one missile from behind and stopped the enemy bomber squadron.

Aaron yells, "WHHEEEWW YEAH, BABY! LET`S GO!"

"Don`t get too cocky, Aaron!" Nicholas warns him, telling him to keep his cool. Nicholas then called to the air base, "All enemy bomber eliminated!"

"Good job, Nicholas! But the missions not over yet!" Cowens calls, as Nicholas asked, "Whats up?!"

"The enemy sent seven SU-25s towards our base! Return to the base, and provide cover, out!" Cowens informs, as Nicholas knows that the enemys putting up a fight. Nicholas looks onto his planes controls fuel gauge shows sixty-seven percent full, five hundred and sixty-nine bullets and three missile left, and no damage.

Nicholas calls back and said, "I`m still good to good, sir! Ready to engage enemy attackers!"

"Alright! Finish the job, Nick!" Cowens said to him, as Nicholas replies, "Roger that!"

Nicholas turns to Aaron and asked him, "How much ammunition you have and fuel, and if it took any damage?"

Aaron looks around, and calls back, "I have four hundred and fifty-two bullets and two missiles left! I got seventy-three percent of fuel, and zero damage! I`m ready for some more, bro!"

"Alright!" Nicholas nods his head with a smile. "Let`s go!"

"Roger that, bro!" Aaron replies.

They head back to defend the air base from the enemy second wave. Aaron looks onto the radar, and spots two enemy aircraft heading towards them.

"Nicholas!" Aaron calls, "I picking up two enemy jets heading our way!"

"Okay! Watch out if it`s an ace!" Nicholas warns, as both Aaron and Nicholas scans the skies above Canterlot.

Aaron turns to his two o`clock, and spots two Fighters heading towards him and Nicholas. The Typhoon heads towards him, while the SU-35 heads to Nicholas.

"There they are, Nick!" Aaron calls out, and said, "I`ll deal with them! You head back to defend the base!"

"Its too dangerous, Aaron!" Nicholas complies, but Aaron recalls, "Just let me deal with them. They maybe top ace, but I can read them like a book! Besides, you got us into this, but Im welling to protect Flurry Heart and the others as bad as you do!"

Nicholas looks at him, knowing that Aarons putting his life on the line, understands that hes determined to keep his promise for the Princess he has a crush on.

"Alright, bro!" Nicholas complies, "Make sure you come back in one piece!"

"You can count on me, bro!" Aaron nods with a two finger salute and a wink. Aaron`s plane rolls to the right, as Aaron prepares to engage the enemy fighters. Nicholas turns his plane and continues to the base to fight off incoming second wave.

Aaron watches and sees his step-brother vanishes behind the cloud. Aaron turns his focus onto the incoming enemy aircrafts heading towards him. He slides his helmets glasses on, and breathes calmly. He grins to the enemy planes, "Alright, you vulturous bastards! Its between you two and me!"

Seeing this, Shadow looks with awe as he sees the lone aircraft challenging him and his wingman in a two-versus-one dogfight. Dimitri said to Shadow, "Sir! The enemy aircraft`s challenging us, head on!"

"Let him fight me, Dimitri! You go after the other one!" Shadow grins, finally found his match in a dogfight. "He`s going to pay for what he did to our comrades!"

"R-roger, Shadow!" Dimitri stutters, as he splits from him to go after Nicholas, and watches his flight lead heads to face Aaron.

Aaron calls his brother and warns, "Nick! You got one heading your way! But the other one is facing me!"

"Okay!" Nicholas replies, "Thanks for the heads up, bro! Good luck!"

"Roger!" Aaron complies, as he re-focuses on the enemy ace that hes facing head on. 'Alright, Schnitter!' Aaron thought. 'Lets find out how tough you are!'

After being saved by Aaron and Nicholas, the F-15E pilot talked with the one who got Aaron and Nicholas sent up to fight the enemy forces off; First Sergeant Myatt. Myatt explains everything about Nicholas being determined to protect the anthro-ponies he cared about and Nicholas and his step-brother wanted to fight, and he added that Nicholas and Aaron had experiences on fighter jets from their fathers that served in previous wars years back.

"So thats why that kid wanted to fight?!" The F-15E pilot complies, but then criticized. "But those two pilots up there are kids! Its dangerous for them to fight up in the airspace, specially that Schnitter`s up there!"

"Trust me," Sergeant Myatt said to him. "I believe that the two boys are making a difference up there! Besides, the way I heard that Aaron took out enemy escort fighters in one go is the example that they had experiences before, despite that they never had took to the skies before. But they`re capable to handle it up there."

"But, sir!" F-15E pilot was about to criticize him, but Princess Flurry Heart told him, "If you werent here, Nicholas and Aaron would be here sitting and none of this would not happened! And Aaron and Nicholas understood planes very clearly, even from various different types of jets! And Aaron knows things about planes as well, and his father served in the Belkan War years ago! Nicholas and Aaron maybe kids, but those two had an abilities to memorize different various of planes, cares for those around them, and understand the controls! If they dont know, then they shouldn`t be flying by now!"

Sergeant Myatt and the pilot looks at her, and the F-15E pilot was about to say something, but he knew that the Princess is right. He then realize that Nicholas and Aaron were the same kids couple months ago for the air show, and they understood the fighter jets` controls.

The Mechanic ran up to them and shouts out, "ENEMY ATTACKERS CLOSING IN!!"

Flurry and Myatt looks up away from the air base, and sees seven enemy planes heading towards them. Myatt yells, "PRINCESS, GET IN SHELTER!"

Flurry ran in the hanger, and saw Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Rarity, and Princess Celestia standing there. When she looked back up, she seen two missiles coming from the left side, and made direct hit on two of the SU-25s. The one aircraft appeared, and attacked two more of the SU-25 jets with machine guns. It was the ASF-X Shinden II.

"Its one of ours!" The pilot of the Strike Eagle cheers, seeing the enemy aircrafts splitting in two groups of two. "Yeah! Go getem boys!" Rainbow Dash yells, pumping her fist once with joy.

Flurry smiles, watching Nicholas or Aaron attacking the enemy planes attacking the base.

On the Shinden II, Nicholas calls onto the base and said, "Commander Cowens! Use your base defense!"

Cowens complies, "Roger that, Nick! Becareful flying into friendly fire!" Nicholas acknowledge, "I`m aware of it, sir!"

Cowens turns to his defense specialist and commands, "You heard the kid! Active the surface to air defenses!"

"Yes sir!" He said, as he press the switches to active air base`s defensive weapons.

After Brigadier General Cowens calls for activation of the anti-air defense system, Cowens calls to Nicholas, "Kid! Keep your eyes around you, and becareful! Our base defense systems` capable to stick to any targets, and would accidently hit you!"

"Roger that, sir!" Nicholas complies, as he got back to re-focus on fending off enemy attack planes. He looks on his gauge, and sees he has one missile left, and five hundred and twenty-four bullets remaining. And no damage so far.

He got behind one of the enemy attack aircrafts, and shreds him with his machine guns. He said, "Alright! Two enemy attackers left!"

"You`re doing really good, kid!" Cowens calls, and Nicholas was about to say something. But a sudden buzz sounded. Nicholas looks on his gauge, and warns enemy missile is heading straight for him. Looks to his right for a second, and saw a missile. He evaded it. Nicholas looks behind him, and saw an enemy SU-35 on the tail of his plane.

Got him on his tail, Dimitri said, "I got you now, you lil punk!"

"Shoot!" Nicholas stressed, and tries to shake him off as he calls onto the base. "I got an enemy boogie on my six oclock! And Im trying to get him off!"

"Hang in there, Nick!" Cowens responds and informs, "Allied reinforcements will be here ETA thirty seconds! Don`t even worry about the enemy attackers, allied defenses will try to deal with the rest!"

Nicholas nods his head and complies, "Roger that!" Nicholas goes up to the skies, and tries to keep the enemy fighter on his back away from the base. He got to five thousand and eight-hundred feet in the air.

Nicholas turns back at the enemy SU-35 and said, "Let`s dance, you enemy scumbag."

Dimitri keeps the enemy in range in front of him, as he sighs, "You`re mine now, you lil punk!"

Nicholas tries to do something, knowing that he kept on shaking him, but no luck. He then realizes that the ASF-X Shinden IIs are also maneuverable, and can do any types of moves. He had the idea stroke in his head. "I got it!" Nicholas said, as he increase the planes` speed and use his heels to lift the jet engine rotation, and pulls on his joy stick.

Right Dimitri`s about to pull the trigger, Nicholas increase thrust, and pulls the nose of his plane upwards, doing a cobra maneuver.

Dimitri was amused. "Interesting! Trying to outmaneuver me?" He grins, as he copies what Nicholas` doing. He and Nicholas are flying side-by-side during Cobra Maneuver, and closes onto eachother.

'Come on, baby! Come on!' Nicholas thought, as he turns his eyes onto the enemy next to him, as hes about to get one shot on what hes doing.

As the enemy got in range, Nicholas shouts, "NOW!" He lets go of the paddles, and pulls up immediately before the next reacts.

"W-what the hell?!" Dimitri stutters, seeing the enemy did, in fact, not only outmaneuvered him, he outplayed him just like that.

Nicholas got behind him as the enemy stops his maneuver. Dimitri tries to get behind him, but was too late. "Fox two!" He yells out, firing the missile at the plane, only it hits the middle of it`s wing.

Feeling defeated, Dimitri sighs angrily, "I`m not going down like this!" He launches the flares, trying to blind the enemy, and turns away.

Nicholas was a bit blinded by flares, and he looks to see the enemy`s no longer in front of him, seeing that he was forced to withdraw from the airspace.

Nicholas took a sigh of relief, knowing that he defeated one of the enemy ace pilots in a dogfight in his first flight. He tones in the radio and calls to the air base, "Enemy fighters defeated, sir! Whats the report of the base?"

Cowens calls back in reply, "All enemy attackers has been shot down by our defenses! Mission is complete!"

But Nicholas calls and informs, "Not yet! My brother`s fighting the other enemy ace out there! Coming in for landing to re-arm and refuel!"

"Okay! Roger that, kid!" Cowens calls in to comply, as Nicholas returns to the air base to hurry to re-arm and to get back to help his brother.
