Down the Rabbit Hole

The bell rang as the school day official ended. Jake grabbed the eraser and started to clean the chalkboard as students filed out of the school. Cheerilee closed her grading book and began to pack up her saddlebags. Braixen was helping clean up the classroom. Meowstic used her psychic powers to place all of Jake's stuff away, and Zorua watched over the Pokemon egg. Jake smiled as yet another school day finished.

"Well, I think we can close shop for the day, Cheerilee." Said Jake

"Yes Jake, and I do want to thank you for taking over teaching while I was in Manehattan." Said Cheerilee

"Hey no problem, I had Twilight to make sure I made it." Said Jake

"Yes, and I heard the students loved the week you taught." Said Cheerilee

Jake picked up his bag and the Pokemon egg, "Well, I got to make sure the students understand Pokemon."

"Yes, now I wish you a good day Jake. I'll see you Monday, and oh, good luck on your teaching exam. I know you'll pass and have your license." Said Cheerilee

"Thanks, Cheerilee." Said Jake

Jake walked back into town with his three Pokemon following close behind. Another week passed him. And in that week, Twilight and him and spent plenty of time studying for Jake's teaching license exam. Jake couldn't lie, he loved the way Twilight helped him remember the facts he needed for the test. She was an excellent study buddy to have. The test was this Saturday, early in the morning. So today was his last day to get in any last minute studying before the test. But even though Jake thought he wasn't ready, Twilight believed he was ready for the test. So Jake trusted what Twilight said and kept up his confidence, but he still wanted to run things over to make sure that he understood it all. Jake didn't want to take any risks. He wanted to be one hundred percent sure he could get a passing grade on this test.

But other things had also transpired in this week. For one, Jake learned of Fluttershy's new Pokemon, Lillipup. She told Jake about how she saved it from a Houndoom, and it seemed to attach himself, the Lillipup was a male, to Fluttershy. So Jake gave Fluttershy a Poke Ball, and Fluttershy captured her second Pokemon. Jake told Fluttershy that Lillipup was a Normal Type Pokemon and its evolution line of Herdier and Stoutland. But the big news that shocked him was Fluttershy was able to Mega Evolve Audino. Jake asked to see it, and Fluttershy proved it by Mega Evolving Audino. Jake gave congrats to Fluttershy for Mega Evolving Audino. Fluttershy thanked Jake and left.

Also in that time, Jake took up practicing his Pokemon against his friends. He wanted to make sure they were sharp and ready for the fights to come. But Jake also wanted to try to get some of his Pokemon to evolve to their next stage. He had many Pokemon which, he thought would have evolved already, but yet hadn't. But Jake wasn't pushy. He would let his girls evolve when they felt like it was time for them.

Jake kept making his way back to the library but saw Twilight coming towards him with Fraxure and Deino. He smiled as Twilight came to a stop and smiled back at him.

"What are doing out here, Twilight?" Asked Jake

"Coming to see." She said

"Why?" Asked Jake

"Well, I've wanted to have a fight with you. I've meant to see what Deino can do in a fight. So how about it?" Said Twilight

"I'm always up for a Pokemon battle." Said Jake

"Great, but first let's get some food. I've been craving a daffodil and daisy sandwich." Said Twilight

"Well, I guess I could go for something." Said Jake

The two walked off to the local cafe Twilight just loved. Jake and Twilight got a seat outside because of their Pokemon. The waiter came out and got their orders and left. Twilight teleported in the Pokemon's food bowls and Pokemon food. The Pokemon cheered as they saw food. Twilight poured out the food and let them eat as Jake and Twilight waited for their meal.

"So how was school?" Asked Twilight

"The usual." Said Jake

"Glad to hear you haven't had anything crazy happen to you while teaching." Said Twilight

"You don't call the fight with that Elite Guard crazy." Said Jake

"Well, I mean in teaching students, not battling Team Catastrophe. Now that I think about it, they've been silent as of late." Said Twilight

"Yeah, ever since that fight with the Elite Guard they haven't attacked." Said Jake

"Isn't that a good thing." Said Meowstic

"I guess." Said Jake

"But what bothers me is that since we first saw Quantum in the Griffonstone, we haven't heard or seen them. I would have thought we would have heard something about them since their one purpose is to create peace through turning all into Quantum and enslaving Pokemon." Said Twilight

"Yeah, but you also said that they seek to defeat Team Catastrophe. Well, maybe we're not hearing from them is because Quantum and Catastrophe are dealing with each other." Said Jake

"Maybe, but I do enjoy the peace." Said Twilight

"Yeah." Said Jake

Soon the waiter returned with Jake and Twilight's food and they dug into it. Soon they finished it, and Twilight ordered some tea for her and Jake. The waiter returned with a tea pot and two tea cups. Twilight thanked the waiter and poured some tea for her and Jake.

"So ready for tomorrow." Said Twilight

"As ready as I'll be. But first I'm going to skim the book to make sure I got everything down." Said Jake

"Jake I told you don't have to do that, you know everything. Skimming the book isn't going to do more than start to make you doubt yourself. If you can remember all those facts about Pokemon, then why doubt yourself with this test." Said Twilight

"But Twilight, this is a major exam. If I don't pass, then I can't continue to teach." Said Jake

Jake closed his eyes and sighed, but felt the warm touch of fur over his hand. He opened his eyes to see a smiling Twilight. Her smile always filled Jake with happiness. Jake always enjoyed her smile. A warm, loving smile was always something he wanted in a girlfriend.

"Jake, you'll do fine. Plus even if you don't pass, Cheerilee will keep you. Sure you can't teach the school without Cheerilee giving you a lesson plan, but you'll still be teaching. Plus there's always next time." Said Twilight

He smiled as he held her hoof, "You're right Twilight. I should have confidence in myself."

"That's it, Jake." Said Twilight

The two smiled at each other before Jake let go of her hoof and went to his tea. Twilight's right, I can't doubt myself. Sure in college I crammed for tests and never felt ready, but this time I do. Ok, Jake, you can do this. Jake sipped his tea as Twilight did the same.

Twilight, Jake, and Fluttershy walked out to the large meadow area. After finishing their food, they returned to the library. Jake changed out of his clothing and collected his Pokemon. When they headed out to the meadow, they ran into Fluttershy. She decided to come with them to heal their Pokemon after the fight and to referee the match. Jake and Twilight stood apart from each ready to fight as they both had on their Aura Readers.

"Um, ok, this fight will be between Jake and Twilight. Both of you are allowed to use two Pokemon each. The fight will end when one sides Pokemon can no longer fight." Said Fluttershy

"So you ready, Twilight." Said Jack

"Always." Said Twilight

"Then fight." Said Fluttershy

"Deino you're up." Said Twilight

Twilight threw out Deino's Pokeball and out came the Dark and Dragon Type Pokemon.

"Dein, Deino."

"So going with Deino first, alright, Buneary you're up." Said Jake

Jake took Buneary's Pokeball and tossed it out and out came the Rabbit Pokemon.

"Bun, Bun, Buneary."

"Twilight, since you asked for this fight, I'll allow you the first move." Said Jake

"Well thank you, Jake. Deino begin with Tackle." Said Twilight

Deino charged forward towards Buneary.

"Buneary, hop out of the way." Said Jake

Buneary hopped out of the way as Deino came still barreling towards Jake.

"Deino, stop." Said Twilight

Deino came to a stop as Jake moved out of the way. Deino looked around before turning and bumping into Jake and taking a bite of his leg. Jake winced, but he had gotten used to the fact that Deino learned through biting and headbutting.

"Deino let go of Jake's leg." Said Twilight

Deino let go of Jake's leg and ran back to Twilight. She stroked his head and moved back to the fight as Buneary got herself ready for Deino to attack.

"Buneary how about we go on the assault. Buneary attack with Pound." Said Jake

Buneary ran forward as her right paw became white. Twilight surfed through Deino's move set to try to find a way to counter Jake's attack.

"Deino, counter with Headbutt." Said Twilight

Deino charged forward with his head down. Soon the two attacks hit each other followed by a small explosion which shot each Pokemon back to their owners.

"You ok, Buneary."

"Bun."

"How about you, Deino?" Asked Twilight

"Deino."

"Then let's show off a Dragon Type move. Dragon Rage, Deino." Said Twilight

Deino closed his mouth as a blue sphere of energy grew in his stomach. He then opened his mouth and out came a large blast of blue energy.

"Buneary, Bounce." Said Jake

Buneary pressed her legs against the ground before hopping into the air. Everypony watched as Buneary flew through the air. They all then watched as Buneary came down and landed right on Deino's head crashing it into the ground before somersaulting back to Jake. Twilight watched as Deino pulled himself from the ground and shook his head before roaring to tell he was still in the fight.

"Deino, use Double Team." Deino started to create copies of himself. "Now charge Buneary with Headbutt."

The Deinoes started to run straight at Buneary.

"Ice Beam, Buneary." Said Jake

Buneary charged a small ball of ice in front of her mouth before releasing rays of ice at the Deinoes, but none of them were the real Deino. Buneary looked around until Twilight gave her next order.

"Crunch."

Deino bit down hard onto Buneary before tossing her away. Deino then ran back to Twilight.

"Headbutt." Said Twilight

Deino once again charged Buneary as Buneary slowly struggled to get to her feet.

"Buneary, Ice Punch." Said Jake

Buneary looked as Deino got closer and closer to her. Buneary's right paw grew cold as she charged her Ice Punch. But right before Deino hit, Buneary attacked Deino. With Deino being half Dragon Type, the attack did double damage. Deino rolled back after Buneary nailed the Ice Punch. Twilight huffed as she watched Deino get back to his feet.

"Well, I'll give Deino credit. He's holding up great." Said Jake

"Thanks and that's the same Buneary." Said Twilight

"Thank you Twilight, but time to finish this fight. Buneary Dizzy Punch." Said Jake

Buneary ran forward and started to strike Deino with her ears. Deino took the attacks, but Twilight could see Deino wasn't doing good against it.

"Deino, bite Buneary's ear." Said Twilight

Deino opened his mouth and bit down on one of Buneary's ears. Buneary struggled to pull her ear of Deino's ear.

"Buneary, use Ice Punch to break free." Said Jake

"I don't think so, toss Buneary to the sky." Said Twilight

Before Buneary could even charge her Ice Punch, Deino tossed her into the sky.

"Now Dragon Rage." Said Twilight

Deino charged a blue sphere in his chest before releasing the blue energy at the helpless Buneary. Jake couldn't do a thing but watch Deino's attack hit Buneary. Then from the smoke, Buneary came crashing back down to the ground. Jake ran up and saw Buneary was out of the fight.

"Buneary is unable to battle. Deino is the winner." Said Fluttershy

"Deino."

"Great work, Deino." Said Twilight

Jake picked up Buneary as she came back to reality. He smiled as he stroked her head.

"You did great Buneary. I couldn't ask for anything else from you. Now rest up." Said Jake

Jake handed Fluttershy his Buneary as he took his place and looked at Deino and Twilight. Deino sure is strong, I can't even tell if he's reached exhaustion yet. But even if I beat Deino, I have to deal with Fraxure. Jake grabbed Kirlia's Pokeball. Even though Kirlia's Psychic-Type moves are useless against Deino's Dark Type, but the Fairy Type moves will win me the fight and give me an advantage against Fraxure.

"Kirlia, I choose you." Said Jake

"Kir, Kirlia."

"Kirlia begin with Dazzling Gleam." Said Jake

Kirlia's body began to glow white before beams of rainbow light shot right at Deino. Twilight watched as the rays struck Deino head on and after the light show ended, Deino was out cold.

"Deino is unable to fight, Kirlia wins." Said Fluttershy

"Kirlia."

Twilight sighed as she walked forward and stroked Deino's head.

"Great work Deino, Fluttershy will help you get well now." Said Twilight

"Dein, Deino."

Deino stuck out his tongue and licked Twilight's cheek causing her to laugh before Audino lead Deino off the battlefield. Twilight looked at Jake as he stroked Kirlia's head. The Psychic and Fairy Type Pokemon smiled and laughed as she enjoyed Jake's kindness. So it's Kirlia vs. Fraxure. It's going to be an uphill battle since I'm at a disadvantage. But I'm not going to give up.

Twilight took her place as Jake back to his standing position. Kirlia walked forward as Twilight took Fraxure's ball. She tossed it up, sending out the Dragon Type Pokemon.

"Fraxure."

"So here we are, on our last two Pokemon Twilight. Now if you remember, our first battle was between Axew and Ralts. So now it's between Fraxure and Kirlia. So let's see what you got Twilight, give it all you got." Said Jake

"You know I will, even if Fraxure and I are at a disadvantage." Said Twilight

"Great to hear, so let's begin. Calm Mind, Kirlia" Said Jake

Kirlia placed her hands together as, and energy field appeared around Kirlia.

"Will boost ourselves as well, Fraxure. Go Dragon Dance." Said Twilight

Fraxure roared as a red energy surrounded him. Both finished powering up at the same time.

"Fraxure begin with Assurance." Said Twilight

Fraxure ran at Kirlia with both of his hands glowing white. Jake waited for Fraxure to get closer before telling Kirlia what he wanted her to do.

"Teleport." Said Jake

Kirlia disappeared just as Fraxure made it to Kirlia. Fraxure looked around for Kirlia as did Twilight.

"Disarming Voice." Said Jake

Kirlia appeared behind Fraxure and sent out a salvo of hearts.

"Use Dragon Rage to counter." Said Twilight

Fraxure charged his blue sphere and released the attack and exploded off of Kirlia's attack. Smoke filled the area around the two Pokemon.

"Shadow Claw." Said Twilight

Fraxure leaped out of the smoke with a large dark claw and struck Kirlia.

"Now Payback." Said Twilight

Fraxure's left hand formed a violet comet and struck Kirlia back towards Jake. She landed on the ground and rolled towards Jake, but got back to her feet.

"Kirlia, I think we should heal some of that damage. Heal Pulse." Said Jake

Kirlia closed her eyes as an energy field covered her and restored her. Kirlia opened her eyes and looked at Fraxure who looked back at Kirlia.

"Kirlia, Future Sight." Said Jake

Kirlia opened a set of portal over her head and sent psychic energy into each other them. They closed up, and Kirlia looked at Fraxure.

"Now Disarming Voice." Said Jake

Kirlia sent out a salvo of hearts at Fraxure once again.

"Dragon Rage." Said Twilight

Fraxure charged the attack and let it go to destroy Kirlia's attack. But in the smoke, Kirlia took the advantage. Another salvo of hearts struck Fraxure causing double damage. The attack caused Fraxure to slide back towards Twilight, but he was still in the fight.

"Kirlia, use Teleport." Said Jake

Kirlia teleported away causing Fraxure to look around with Twilight, but neither noticed that Future Sight was about to hit. The wormholes opened up above Fraxure, and psychic energy started to strike Fraxure. Twilight covered herself as the attacks came down on top of Fraxure. But the assault didn't end there. Kirlia came out of in front of Fraxure.

"Now Draining Kiss." Said Jake

Kirlia leaped up to give Fraxure a kiss to drain his life energy, but Twilight was able to get Fraxure to attack.

"Payback." Said Twilight

Thanks to having Future Sight hit him, Fraxure's Payback dealt double damage. The attack hit Kirlia right in the gut and sent her right into the ground hard. Once the smoke cleared from Future Sight, Fraxure was breathing heavy as his hand cooled from Payback. Kirlia slowly pushed herself off the ground. She was breathing heavily as well.

"Fraxure let's end this, Giga Impact." Said Twilight

Fraxure roared as he began to run towards Kirlia. Orange energy streaks appeared around him. Jake looked at Kirlia who was still coming off Fraxure's Payback. I can still win this if Kirlia can use Protect in time. Then, I can have Kirlia use a Fairy Type move and finish off Fraxure . Soon a purple energy surrounded Fraxure and sped even faster at Kirlia.

"Kirlia, use Protect." Said Jake

Kirlia started to form the shield, but Fraxure's Giga Impact landed the attack on Kirlia. A massive explosion followed, and after the smoke had cleared, Kirlia was laying on the ground knocked out.

"Kirlia is unable to battle, which means Fraxure and Twilight win the battle." Said Fluttershy

Twilight heard Fluttershy's words, but it took a few seconds before her brain put everything together.

"I won...I won...ha...I WON!" Said Twilight

"Fraxure!"

"Deino!"

"I can't believe it, I won. I beat Jake. I won!" Said Twilight

Twilight hopped around like a happy filly. She ran up and hugged Fraxure as Deino came running up to them. Twilight hugged them both as she smiled and laughed at her first victory against Jake. Jake walked up and picked up Kirlia, and she looked at Jake with sad eyes. He smiled as she rubbed her head.

"Turn that frown upside down, Kirlia. You did great; Twilight just got the better of us." Said Jake

"Kir, Kirlia."

"But now next time will get her back." Said Jake

"Kir, Kirlia."

"I'll take her, Jake." Said Fluttershy

Jake handed over Kirlia to Fluttershy as she flew back to Audino. Buneary hopped over to Jake, and Jake picked her and placed her on his shoulders. He walked over to the still celebrating Twilight. Twilight turned to see Jake smiling at her. She smiled back as she removed her Aura Reader and put it into her saddlebags. She then told Fraxure to go over to Fluttershy and Audino for medical attention.

"So I guess I win this match." Said Twilight

"Yes, it does seem that way." Said Jake

"But I know not to let it get to my head." Said Twilight

"That's true, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't celebrate right now." Said Jake

"Yeah, but I think I got it all out. So how about we have that snack I packed and let our Pokemon eat before heading back to Ponyville." Said Twilight

"Not a bad idea." Said Jake

Twilight, Jake, and Fluttershy walked back into the town after feeding their Pokemon and enjoying a slight snack. But as Jake entered Ponyville, he felt like something was off. He stopped and looked around. Something's not right. Twilight and Fluttershy stopped and looked behind them as Jake looked around at the town.

"Something wrong, Jake?" Asked Twilight

"Look around you; something feels off." Said Jake

Twilight and Fluttershy looked around as they saw the town was like a ghost town.

"Strange, vendors should still be out selling." Said Twilight

"Yeah, and ponies never stay inside with a day like this." Said Fluttershy

"Let's head to the library." Said Twilight

The crew continued towards the library and opened the door to find a table with a tea set, set up and Spike sitting at the table.

"Spike." Said Twilight

Twilight walked forward as Jake saw seven more seats. He saw a piece of paper in front of each with Twilight's, Rarity's, Fluttershy's, Rainbow's, Applejack's and Pinkie's names. He then saw the head seat also had one. Fluttershy crept to her place and grabbed the paper. Twilight poked Spike, and he didn't move.

"Spike." Said Twilight

Jake grabbed the paper in front of him. He saw the title read, 'Mad Hatter.' Mad Hatter, what does that mean? Jake saw as Twilight poked Spike again and he fell over with a sound of wood hitting the floor. Twilight screamed as she backed up. Jake and Fluttershy ran over to her and saw Spike laying the floor. Jake reached out and grabbed the wooden Spike.

"Ok, now we have official hit weird." Said Jake

"I'll say." Said Twilight

"But what's up all of this?" Asked Fluttershy

Jake looked at the paper in his hand. He opened it up and read it aloud.

"Come one and all to the first every whole city tea party hosted by the Mad Hatter and his friends. So if you wish to attend just drop down the rabbit hole." Said Jake

"What does all that mean?" Asked Twilight

"Well, first Twilight, have you ever heard of a book called Alice in Wonderland." Said Jake

"No, I haven't, should I." Said Twilight

"Well, it's a book about a girl named Alice who follows a rabbit into a magic world. One of the characters she meets is a man named the Mad Hatter who likes to have tea parties. If I have to guess, whoever set this up is telling us that I'm the Mad Hatter and you're going to have a tea party with me." Said Jake

"Interesting story, which I could read it. But what do think it all means?" Asked Twilight

"Next, we check on the others." Said Jake

"Right, but wait what about your other Pokemon." Said Fluttershy

"Applejack's." Said Jake

"Why?" Asked Fluttershy

"There helping her work on the area that will be a Pokemon sanctuary." Said Jake

"Enough talk, let's get moving." Said Twilight

The two nodded, and they headed off to see if the others were ok.

The group walked Ponyville heading for the town hall. After finding that their friends in the town were safe, they headed out to the farm. They found Applejack and Jake's other Pokemon safe. They then headed back into town trying to figure out what happened and found a note that told them to come to the town hall. So the group with their Pokemon went towards the town hall. Discord appeared when he felt something was off and brought Jake's Snag Machine. He also got the others Pokeballs. He placed as his Pokemon in their balls and put them in his pockets to keep them safe.

"Well, we're here." Said Rarity

The group had reached their destination and saw nothing out of the ordinary.

"I'm glad you all came."

They looked to the front stairs of the town hall as an another hybrid human. This one was a rabbit and human hybrid. She had long white ears and a white cotton tail. She wore a white bra with a rabbit head in the middle. She also had a white skirt that showed her panties. Her eyes were still the same as the other two hybrid girls. If I had to guess that's Bunny, the third of the four Team Catastrophe admins.

"Another one." Said Rarity

"Remember that Foxy said that we would meet two more. Now if I had to guess by your animal features, you're Bunny." Said Jake

"Ding ding, you win. I'm Bunny, the third admin of Team Catastrophe." Said Bunny

"What have you done to the ponies of Ponyville?" Asked Twilight

"Getting them ready for the party." Said Bunny

"Party, I like parties." Said Pinkie

"Great then you'll love this party." Said Bunny

"So what type of party are we having?" Asked Pinkie

"A conquest tea party." Said Bunny

"I've never heard of a party like that, but where are the guests." Said Pinkie

"Here they are." Said Bunny

She snapped her fingers, and soon the group heard movement. They then saw as everypony of Ponyville came towards them with all different types of hats.

"What's wrong with them?" Asked Rainbow

"From the look of it, they seemed zombified." Said Pinkie

"More like, they're mind controlled." Said Bunny

"Mind-controlled." Said Jake

"That's right, the hats on their heads let me control them." Bunny showed a metal box with a button on it. "And I control them with this device."

"Why are you doing of all this?" Asked Twilight

"Because that's what I do. You see, I train all of Team Catastrophe's grunts, but now my training is coming into question because of you, Jake. So that's why I'm here."

"So you want to try to beat me." Said Jake

"That's right, but you won't just have to beat me, you'll have to beat every resident of this little town. Think you can win." Said Bunny

Soon Pokeballs appeared in each residents hands. Jake looked at Bunny who smiled at him.

"But you wouldn't have to fight if you take a simple offer." Said Bunny

"What offer?" Asked Jake

Bunny bounced on over to Jake. She laid her chest up against his and ran her finger across his chest.

"If you decided to become my Mad Hatter, then I'll release all these ponies from my control." Said Bunny

"So you want me to join Team Catastrophe, and you'll let go of those under your mind control." Said Jake

"That's right big boy. So you ready to jump down my rabbit hole." Said Bunny

Twilight started to growl as she watched Bunny tease up Jake. She wanted to zap her with one of her attack spells. But luckily Jake pushed Bunny away from her.

"I would rather live the rest of life in chains then join you and Team Catastrophe." Said Jake

Bunny looked at Jake as Twilight sighed before Bunny puffed up her cheeks.

"You're telling me you would rather stay here with these ponies rather than be with people that are like you." Said Bunny

"That's right." Said Jake

"Fine, if that's what you want, then I guess we're going to have a Pokemon battle." Said Bunny

"Looks that way, and if I win you release these ponies and leave Ponyville." Said Jake

"Ok, and if I win, then you have to come with me and join Team Catastrophe." Said Bunny

"I guess I have to go with those odds." Said Jake

"Yes you do, now my minions take care of the ponies." Said Bunny

"Girls get yourself ready." Said Jake

"We know, partner." Said Applejack

Twilight, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Applejack and Pinkie Pie let loose their Pokemon as the Mane Six stood against the residents of Ponyville. The hypnotized ponies released their Pokemon. Discord stood next to Jake as he looked at Bunny.

"Now, unlike my two sisters, I don't play one Pokemon at a time. We will do a double battle, so you think you can handle it." Said Bunny

"We'll see." Said Jake

"We'll see how cocky you are when you lose to me." Said Bunny

Bunny formed two Poke Balls and tossed them up and out came two Pokemon, but both were the same Pokemon. Both Pokemon were Bunnelby. Bunny's playing two Bunnelbies. But as Jake placed on his Aura Reader, he saw neither had a Shadow Aura, which meant he couldn't snag either of them. But Jake couldn't find anything out of the ordinary. Hm, neither Bunnelby has a robust stat unlike Kitty's Liepard and Foxy's Vulpix. But I shouldn't let my guard down. Jake removed his Pokedex and pointed it one of the Bunnelbies.

"Bunnelby the Digging Pokemon. They use their large ears to dig burrows. They will dig the whole night through."

Ok, so two Normal Type Pokemon, so I should go Mienfoo, but who else. Jake thought it over before taking both Poke Balls and tossed them out.

"Let's go, Mienfoo and Buneary." Said Jake

Both Poke Balls opened up, and out came Buneary and Mienfoo.

"Mienfoo."

"Bun, Buneary."

"So you're going your Buneary and Mienfoo. Now let's get hopping down the bunny trail." Said Bunny

"Yeah, let's go." Said Jake

"Girls, get ready." Said Twilight

"We know, darling." Said Rarity

"No worries Twilight, we got this." Said Rainbow

"You ready, Jake." Said Discord

"Always." Said Jake

"Now if we are all ready, then let's fight." Said Bunny

"Bunnelbies, use Agility." Said Bunny

The Bunnelbies began to hop back and forth as their speed began to go up.

"Buneary attack with Dizzy Punch and Mienfoo, Meditate." Said Jake

Mienfoo placed her hands together and began to raise her attack stat. Buneary ran forward at the Bunnelbies.

"I don't think so, Dig." Said Bunny

Both Bunnelbies jumped into the air and placed their ears together and spun like a drill before diving into the ground. Buneary stopped and looked around, and Mienfoo stopped her meditation. She looked around just like Buneary. Jake bit his lip as he looked around. Where the heck are they going to come up? Jake looked around until the ground broke in the middle of Buneary and Miefoo and out came both Bunnelbies.

"Now hit with Mud Shot." Said Bunny

A golden orb formed between each of the Bunnelbies ears and one launched the attack at Buneary and one attack Mienfoo. The bunnelbies sent out the golden spheres, and they split into shots of mud. Each shot of mud hit their mark. Buneary and Mienfoo got to their feet as both Bunnelbies looked at them. Damn, this might be harder than I thought. I hope the others are doing better than me.

Meanwhile, the Mane Six were dealing with the residents of Ponyville.

"Growlithe attack with Flamethrower." Said Applejack

Growlithe released a torrent of flames consuming a Poochyena in flames. When the flames died down, the Poochyena was out. Applejack sighed as the pony she was facing returned the Pokemon and walked away. But another one appeared. Darn it, how many ponies live in Ponyville. Applejack got ready for her next opponent.

"Fraxure, Dragon Claw." Said Twilight

Fraxure was facing two Pokemon, a Stufful and a Gabite. Fraxure ran past both and struck both Pokemon. The Stufful and Gabite went down as Fraxure walked back to Twilight and roared, but that ended when three ponies walked forward and released three Gabties. Jake please hurry.

"Fraxure get ready for a fight." Said Twilight

"Fraxure."

"Audino, let's do it." Said Fluttershy

"Audino."

Fluttershy pressed her Key Stone and let began to Mega Evolution process.

"Let's go Mega Evolution." Said Fluttershy

Beams of energy from Fluttershy's Key Stone and Audino's Audinite connected, and soon Audino became her Mega Form.

"Now Dazzling Gleam." Said Fluttershy

Audino charged a sphere of light before releasing it into beams of rainbows. It struck the two Yamasks facing Audino. Both went down, but two Poochyenas appeared. Fluttershy stood her ground with Audino.

Rainbow watched as Starly flew around the sky with a Murkrow hot on his tail. Rainbow could see that her Starly was losing speed as the Murkrow was catching up. Shoot what do I do.

"Murkrow, attack with Pursuit." Said Rainbow's opponent

Murkrow sped forward and struck Starly hard. Starly started to descend and hit the ground in front of Rainbow.

"Starly!" Screamed Rainbow

Rainbow rushed forward to pick up her Pokemon.

"You ok boy." Said Rainbow

"Star, Starly."

"You're Pokemon is weak, and you shall fail." Said Rainbow opponent

"You shut it; my Starly isn't weak. He's perfect just the way he is." Said Rainbow

Before the pony facing Rainbow could speak back, a light formed around Starly. Starly's evolving. Rainbow released Starly, and he evolved into a Staravia.

"Staravia."

"Starly you evolved." Said Rainbow

"Star."

"Alright now were back into this fight. Let's try out that move we've been practicing. Staravia attack with Aerial Ace." Said Rainbow

Staravia took to the air and then came back down to the ground and before hitting the ground sped towards the Murkrow. Staravia hit dead center on the Murkrow and knocked it out. The pony growled as it returned the Murkrow and stepped away. Rainbow cheered until two more Murkrow appeared with two ponies.

"Looks like were not down yet, boy. So you ready to fight." Said Rainbow

"Staravia."

"Glad to hear." Said Rainbow

"Pachirisu, Electro Ball." Said Rarity

Pachirisu charged a blue ball of electricity on her tail and flipped into the hair before releasing it at a Tentacool. The Electric Type attack caused double the damage to the Tentacool, knocking it out.

"Pach, Pach, Pachirisu."

"Don't celebrate just yet darling; we still haven't won just yet." Said Rarity

"That's right, now come on out, Tentacruel."

The pony tossed up a Poke Ball and out came a Tentacruel. Pachirisu and Rarity got ready, but Rarity could see her Pokemon wouldn't hold out forever. Jake, please hurry, I'm not sure how long before Pachirisu can no longer fight. But I'll continue as long as Pachirisu can.

"Electro Ball once more, Pachirisu." Said Rarity

Spinarak breathed heavily as a Houndour fell to the ground. But the fight nearly needed Spinarak. Pinkie could see that Spinarak wouldn't hold out against another Pokemon that had Spinarak's weakness. But Pinkie wasn't going to give up just yet. She had to see this to the end. She looked down at her friends and saw how exhausted they were. Their Pokemon weren't fairing much better as she could see the constant battles were getting to them. She did see Rainbow's Starly had evolved. But she turned her head to look at Jake. She could see he wasn't faring any better.

Pinkie sighed as she turned her head back to her fight. She took in a fresh breath and watched as a Poochyena became her next opponent.

"Alright, let's show them what we can do, Spinarak." Said Pinkie

"Spin, Spinarak."

Another set of Mud Shots landed right on top of Buneary and Mienfoo. Jake gritted his teeth as both his exhausted Pokemon got to their feet. I'm not sure how much longer either of them can hold out. Even with having the advantage with Mienfoo, I'm still getting my ass beaten here. Jake mind stopped working once he heard Bunny laughing as both of her Bunnelbies stood by her.

"Oh my, to think I would be winning. But I guess that's what you get when you're dealing with a tactical specialist." Said Bunny

"Tactical specialist." Said Jake

"As I said before, I'm the one who trains Team Catastrophe grunts. Now, unlike Foxy or Kitty who decided one stat is all you need to win a battle, I'm more of the planner. As you saw, neither Bunnelby has an offensive stat that's because I train my mind. When you train the mind, you know all the ways to defeat your opponent. Even the smallest of movements can tell me what you're going to do." Said Bunny

"Interesting, so her mind is her major weapon." Said Discord

"It would explain how she's kept one step ahead of me the whole time. It would also explain her knowledge of mind control." Said Jake

"Yes, but how do we beat her if she understands how you battle by the faintest of movements." Said Discord

"I wish I knew." Said Jake

Jake could hear the battle raging behind him. He turned his head to see that the Mane Six weren't holding up much better. Jake did see Starly was now Staravia. But he could see exhaustion coming over all of them. They won't last much longer at this rate. I need a way to beat Bunny. But how? Jake rubbed his head and suddenly something to his mind. She's reading my body language. That's how to be the key.

"Do you have something?" Asked Discord

"Yeah, I think she reads my body language and uses that to predict how I'm going to act. I don't know how she knows the move I'm going to use or that, but I think she learns how through body language, much how a poker player has signs that say something about them. All I need to do is put on my poker face and not give her any signals. I think that'll stump her long enough for me to take the lead." Said Jake

"Interesting plan, she must be quite the knowledgeable one to know how to pick up such little details and use them to win battles." Said Discord

"Are you two done chatting over there? I would like to get back to winning." Said Bunny

"As you wish Bunny." Jake took stood straight up and closed his eyes before removing his Aura Reader. He placed it in his pocket and looked at Bunny. "You see I understand you now. I believe your reading my body language and using that to gauge how I'm going to attack. It's no more different than a poker player who gives signs about certain things. Now, let's see you fight when I don't even give an order. Buneary and Mienfoo, I want you both to attack with any move you wish. I'm not going to tell you how to fight. So give it your all."

"What!?" Said Bunny

"It's time to put your knowledge to the test." Said Jake

"You can't do that, that's cheating." Said Bunny

"Cheating, Pokemon have minds of their own. They can think for themselves. I don't see a reason why a trainer always needs to give Pokemon orders to attack. Pokemon fight in the wild and never hear the commands of a trainer. So think of it like this, Bunny, my Pokemon are going to show you what they can do without me even giving an order. So Buneary and Mienfoo, show Bunny what you can do." Said Jake

"Buneary."

"Mienfoo."

Buneary and Mienfoo ran forward as both looked at each other. Mienfoo ran as fast as she could. Bunny just watched as Jake stood as stiff as a tree. Mienfoo landed a Pound on one of the Bunnelbies before using Low Kick on the other. Bunny watched as Buneary hopped up into the sky and Mienfoo somersaulted away. Buneary then landed her attack on both Bunnelbies and followed up with Ice Punch. Buneary then bounced away as Mienfoo released a Focus Blast hitting both Bunnelbies.

Bunny couldn't believe her eyes as Buneary and Mienfoo clapped their hands together in victory.

"No, this can't be!" Said Bunny

"Impressive." Said Discord

"I fully understand you Bunny. You learned how body language conveys the types of moves people will ask their Pokemon to use. So when I go for a particular attack, you see the signs my body gives off and react to it. In turn, that allowed you to gain the upper hand in our battle. I believe you learned all of the little twitches and movements from training the grunts of Team Catastrophe. So you use that knowledge to fight. But when I don't give an order, you can't fight. You've put all your time and training into learning body language that when it comes to a battle that you can't read, you can't win. So now that I have you on the ropes, I shall win this fight. Buneary and Mienfoo attack with everything you have left, show her what my partner Pokemon can do." Said Jake

Buneary and Mienfoo nodded before nodded at each other and began the attack on Bunny.

"Impressive deduction, Jake." Said Discord

"Thank you, Discord." Said Jake

Buneary and Mienfoo begin it off with running at both Bunnelbies before jumping into the air.

"Fine, if that's how you want to play then I'll play. Use Mud Shot the both of you." Said Bunny

Both Bunnelby began charging a golden sphere before launching them at Buneary and Mienfoo. When the orbs went towards Buneary and Mienfoo, they turned into piles of mud. Buneary took charge and moved forward creating a shield by using Protect. The Mud Shot from both Bunnelbies hit the shield and did no damage. Then Mienfoo came out of the smoke and used Drain Punch on one of the Bunnelbies. The other got hoisted into the air by Buneary and thrown down into the ground with Buneary using Circle Throw. Both attacks caused double the damage being that both were Fighting Type moves. Jake smiled as he stood firm with Discord by his side.

Buneary and Mienfoo jumped away and nodded before Buneary started to charge and Ice Beam and Mienfoo a Focus Blast.

"Dig, both of you." Said Bunny

But her Bunnelbies were slow to get up and didn't make it into the dirt fast enough as the Ice Beam hit them both. It also froze them in ice and making it an easy target for Mienfoo to strike. Mienfoo released the Focus Blast, and it hit the ice block. Both Bunnelbies came flying out and hitting the ground. Both Bunnelbies tried to get up but fell back to the ground defeated. Bunny just looked at her knocked out Pokemon with a gaping mouth. She blinked her eyes to make sure she got the whole picture, but now matter how times Bunny blinked, she saw the same thing. She had lost to Jake. She fell to her knees and accepted defeat.

"I lost." Said Bunny

"Looks like it." Said Jake

Jake walked forward to a celebrating Buneary and Mienfoo. He stroked both their heads and continued to make his way to Bunny who looked up at him.

"Now a deal is a deal. Release the ponies of Ponyville." Said Jake

Bunny huffed and crossed her arms across her chest.

"You cheated and plus you shouldn't expect someone evil to go through with such deals." Said Bunny

"Yes, but that's why his partner is the god of chaos." Said Discord

Discord snapped his fingers and in his lion paw appeared the control to the mind control hats. Discord crushed it and caused every pony in Ponyville to go back to normal. The Mane Six watched as all the ponies gained back their minds. They looked around and tried to figure out what happened and what they were doing. Bunny just growled as she got up and whistled, dark clouds surrounded the area around them.

"I won't forget this loss, Jake. But don't get too comfy, you still haven't met Rough, and she's the best of us. So goodbye for now hero of Equestria." Said Bunny

In a matter of seconds, the smoke disappeared into the horizon as the sun was starting to set. Jake sighed as he looked back at the Mane Six who took some time to relax as their Pokemon fell to the ground exhausted. Well, I won, but that sure proved that I have a lot of training to do before I meet the last admin and sister of Team Catastrophe.

"Can somepony tell me what happened here?" Asked Spike

Twilight sat on a bench outside Ponyville town hall scanning over a book. She flipped a page as she heard the door of the town hall open. She looked to see ponies filling out looking exhausted, but the one she was looking for walked on two legs. She saw Jake walk out as he headed over to her. She placed a marker in her book and put it into her saddlebags.

"So how was it?" Asked Twilight

"Exhausting." Said Jake

"But now the big question, think you passed?" Asked Twilight

"No doubt in my mind." Said Jake

Twilight giggled, "I told you would do fine."

"Yeah, and thanks, Twilight, for everything you did for me. I don't now how I could repay all the time you spent with me." Said Jake

"I don't need anything in return Jake. I'm just happy to see you happy. But if you insist, you could buy lunch." Said Twilight

"Yeah, so our usual place." Said Jake

"You know it." Said Twilight

Twilight jumped down and surprised when Jake took her saddlebags. She blushed a little but thanked him as they walked off to the cafe to have a much-needed lunch.

Izzy stood looking out a window in the control room down at the grunts of Team Catastrophe. The grunts were working on his device he smuggled out of the Shadow Factory. He heard the door opened and in came one of his guards. The guard bowed to Izzy.

"Progress report." Said Izzy

"The machine in near completion. We should be able to test it out in the coming days. We also have reports that Bunny lost to Jake." Said the guard

"Of course, she may be smart, but her downfall is that she exclusively fights by reading body language, once her opponent realizes that, she falls from her grace. So, I guess that leaves Rough." Said Izzy

"Yes and our master requires a report on our progress." Said the guard

"Tell him we are on schedule." Said Izzy

"Yes, Commander Izzy." Said the guard

Izzy watched as the guard left and turned his attention back to the grunts. We may have lost the Shadow Factory, but that was just a front for us. The actual reason we had that factory was for my ultimate weapon. Once it goes online, nothing will stop us from creating the strongest Shadow Pokemon ever. Izzy turned his attention to a covered cage. He gave an evil smile as he knew what sat inside that cage would prove to be the beginning of the end of Eques. Soon this world will bow to Team Catastrophe.

Izzy laughed as the grunts continued to work on Izzy's machine that would lead to victory for Team Catastrophe.

Well, I'm back to writing. I know what you're all thinking, shouldn't this be a chapter of Solar Son. Well, I started typing this chapter back in final's week of college. So I decided to finish it before moving to Solar Son, but I promise Solar Son will get updates coming next. I've decided to break from Persona 5 to write for a while.
