Jake is an average college student studying chemistry. But even as an average college student, he finds time to enjoy his hobby of Pokemon. Jake has played every Pokemon game. He collects Pokemon cards to sell to people who might want them while keeping some. Jake could never get enough Pokemon. He would even dream some days that he was a Pokemon trainer and hero.
One day while playing Pokemon XD, his screen went black. Jake at first just thought the power went out, but his screen started to go to static. A hand comes out and pulls him into the T.V. Jake is pulled into a multicolored dimension, where he meets the Draconequues, Discord. Discord tells him his home planet is in need of a hero. Discord said that he has been searching for days for one. He tells Jake that he is the one he's been looking for to save his world. Jake accepts to be the hero and with a flash blacks out.
When Jake wakes, he finds himself in a new world. He also discovers that he now has six poke balls and a strange metal full arm brace with an optic piece on the left side of his body. With a little exploring, he finds that he is now longer on Earth but a world of neon colored ponies.
Now with Discord as his guide, Jake must train his Pokemon team and defeat a dark evil that wishes to destroy Equestria using dark Pokemon. Along the way, Jake will make friends, evolve his Pokemon, catch new ones, and maybe find something special.
