Mega Audino

Fluttershy flapped her wings as a group of squirrels climbed off her body into their tree home.

"There my little friends and make sure to be more careful. The forest can be a dangerous place." Said Fluttershy

The squirrels spoke back that they acknowledged Fluttershy's advice. They went into their home as Fluttershy took back to the ground. Audino came up to her as Fluttershy landed.

"Well, Audino, that's done for the day." Said Fluttershy

"Audino."

"Now how about we head back to our home." Said Fluttershy

Fluttershy began to walk with Audino back to her home. It was a custom that Fluttershy visited the local forests that boarded the Everfree Forest to make sure the animals were ok. She always carried medical supplies at the ready to help at a seconds notice. She never liked to see an animal hurt. She also made sure to ask the animals how they were doing and if they needed help with anything. This morning was no different as she was returning a squirrel family after a storm that blew them from their homes. She was happy to see them finally back in their tree. But each time she placed an animal back in the wild, it hurt. Her cutie mark gave her firm connections to animals and such caused her to feel sad when animals left her. But not all animals left her as she still had Angel Bunny, Harry the bear, and Audino, her reliable Pokemon partner.

In the time Celestia gave Fluttershy, Audino, she grew a strong bond, with the Normal Type Pokemon. She trained Audino in combat from time to time, but they mostly dealt with medical needs of the others Pokemon. Audino was also helpful when it came to her animal friends needing help. She was happy to have Audino as her Pokemon. But after seeing Twilight with a new Pokemon and all of Jake's Pokemon. She thought about what it would be like to have another Pokemon. She also wondered what it would be like to have a Pokemon that can evolve. She knew Audino could never evolve and she asked herself how it might feel to see your Pokemon evolve. She knew Twilight and Jake had found that feeling. It came to Twilight when Axew evolved in Fraxure and when Jake's Fennekin evolved into Braixen, Ralts evolving into Kirlia, and Espurr evolving into Meowstic. But she as she thought about it more, she did want to find that feeling, but not at the cost of her friendship with Audino.

She looked over at the Normal Type Pokemon that walked next to her with a medical bag on her back. Audino never seemed to mind caring the medical supplies they needed when she and Fluttershy went out. Fluttershy was more than happy to place all the stuff in her saddlebags. But Audino seemed to like to carry the medical supplies. She looked at the Mega Stone bracelet Rarity made for Audino so she could wear her Mega Stone, Audinite. Fluttershy peeked her eyes down to her Key Stone bracelet around her hoof. She got from the Unowns when she and her friends visited the Crystal Temple. Since that day, she was working hard with Audino to achieve Mega Evolution. She knew to help fight back against Team Catastrophe. She had Mega Evolve her Audino. From the times that practiced to achieve Mega Evolution, Fluttershy could feel her and Audino's bond growing that much stronger. She knew that she was close to unlocking Mega Evolution.

As the two walked back to Fluttershy's cottage, they both heard loud cries of pain. Fluttershy, acting on her instinct to help an animal in need, followed the sound. Audino close behind her. They came out to a small opening and found the animal crying. The second she laid eyes on the creature, she knew it wasn't a species common to Equestria. No, it was a Pokemon, but Fluttershy didn't know which one. But she could tell it looked like a dog Pokemon. Audino approached the Pokemon and removed the medical supplies and got to work on the Pokemon. Fluttershy pulled out her Pokedex and pointed it at the dog Pokemon.

"Lillipup the Puppy Pokemon. The long hair around its face provides an amazing radar that lets it sense subtle changes in its surroundings."

"So you're a Lillipup." Said Fluttershy

"Lillipup."

Fluttershy approached the Pokemon, but it yipped in fear. Poor thing, must have been a Pokemon that escaped the Shadow Factory explosion. The poor dear is probably scared I'll hurt it. But I have to get close to look it over. Fluttershy got down low as she did with most her animal friends at times were scared. She used the tactic to make herself look less threatening, even though she as the least scary pony in her group of friends. She slowly crept towards the Lillipup, so that the Pokemon could get used to Fluttershy. When it yipped, Fluttershy backed off. She then would go at it again, and soon she was in hoof length of the Pokemon. She gently reached out on her front hooves to allow the Pokemon to smell her. She wanted to make sure the Lillipup understood that she was a friend and not a foe. Audino stayed quiet the whole time to let Fluttershy get close to the Lillipup and not hurt it.

The Lillipup took a few sniffs of Fluttershy's hoof before giving a gently lick. Fluttershy smiled as she got close to the Puppy Pokemon and stroked its head.

"See, I'm not scary. Now, let Audino and me look you over." Said Fluttershy

"Aud, Audino."

Fluttershy kept Lillipup calm as Audino checked over the Pokemon. Fluttershy's stroking seemed to calm Lillipup allowing Audino to look over the Pokemon. She pulled out a few jars of medicine and began to open them.

"Now this might sting, but it's going to be ok. The stinging only last for a short couple of seconds." Fluttershy pointed to the Pokemon food she packed just in case she ran into some wild Pokemon and if Audino needed a snack. Audino handed the bag to Fluttershy. She opened it and pulled out some of the Pokemon food. "Here, eat this, and you'll forget about the pain altogether."

From years of experience, she knew the food was an excellent way to distract animals from pain. Lillipup took a sniff of the food before taking one in its mouth. It chewed it up and swallowed before a glimmer of light shined in its eyes.

"Pup, Lilli, Lillipup."

It began to eat the rest of the food in Fluttershy's hoof. Hungery little one. She dipped her hoof back in and pulled out another pile off food, and Lillipup ate it as Audino applied the ointment in the jars to the wounds of Lillipup. The Lillipup hadn't even realized it as Audino pulled out some bandages and placed them on the Puppy Pokemon when it finished the food in Fluttershy's hoof it licked it.

"Oh your so sweet and if you look, you're all right." Said Fluttershy

The Lillipup turned to see Audino returning the medical supplies to the bag. It barked happily is got up and ran around. Fluttershy giggled at how happy it was as she allowed Audino to have some of the Pokemon food left for good work.

"You sure energetic." Said Fluttershy

"Lilli, Lillipup."

"Well, I do hope you stay out of harm's way. Let's go, Audino." Said Fluttershy

"Audino."

Fluttershy and Audino got up and left the jolly Lillipup. The Lillipup saw this and ran after them barking happily. Fluttershy stopped and looked at the Pokemon. She could see a happy smile on its face as it wagged its tail.

"Do you want to come home with me, Lillipup?" Asked Fluttershy

"Lillipup."

"Well, I was looking for another Pokemon to help around my home. What do you think, Audino, shall we take Lillipup with us?" Said Fluttershy

"Aud, Audino."

"Well, Lillpup it seems like Audino and I are in agreement. You can join us and be another Pokemon partner." Said Fluttershy

"Lilli, Lillipup."

"Well, then let's go see Jake. He should be able to give me a Poke Ball so that I can capture you." Said Fluttershy

"Lillipup."

Fluttershy smiled as she stroked Lillipup's head, but then she heard growling coming towards them. She looked up to see a large dog Pokemon with horns on its head coming towards them. Lillipup ran behind Fluttershy and shook with fear. So this strange horned dog was what attacked Lillipup. Fluttershy got her Pokedex out again and pointed it at the horned dog Pokemon.

"Houndoom the Dark Pokemon and evolved form of Houndour. In a Houndoom pack, the one with its horns raked sharply toward the back serves a leadership role. These Pokémon choose their leader by fighting among themselves."

"Hound, Houndoom."

It growled again and slowly approached the group.

"Is this the Pokemon that attack you, Lillipup." Said Fluttershy

The Lillipup shook its head as the Houndoom walked closer still growling. Fluttershy backed up with Audino and Lillipup, but the Houndoom kept walking towards them. Fluttershy backed herself up with Audino and Lillipup into a tree with the Houndoom approaching them. Fluttershy started to shake until Audino stepped in front of Fluttershy.

"Audino, you want to fight." Said Fluttershy

"Aud, Audino."

"Alright then, let's battle." Said Fluttershy

"Audino."

"Hound, Houndoom."

Fluttershy pulled her Aura Reader out and placed it over her eye and activated it.

"Ok, Audino let's fight." Said Fluttershy

THe Houndoom growled before running at Audino with it teeth growing white and larger. Fluttershy wasn't sure what move it was using, but she couldn't let it hit.

"Audino, dodge." Said Fluttershy

Audino moved out of the way, and the Houndoom struck a tree as it missed its target. It got up and shook off the pain.

"Let's first lower that attack, Baby-Doll Eyes." Said Fluttershy

Audino closed her eyes before opening them up. They were vast and innocent looking. It caused Houndoom to back off a little, but the Houndoom shook itself back into the game. It then ran at Audino again, but this time, the teeth burst into flames.

"Audino, dodge again." Said Fluttershy

Audino was ready to dodge the and Houndoom knew it. Once Audino dodge, the Houndoom followed. Fluttershy was unable to help as the Houndoom found Audino's arm and bit down. An explosion followed, and the Houndoom was standing on the other side ready to attack as Audino held her arm where a set of teeth marks were.

"Audino are you ok." Said Fluttershy

"Audino."

"Ok, let's see if it can handle this. Go, Disarming Voice." Said Fluttershy

Audino placed her hands on her mouth and sent out a salvo of hearts at Houndoom. Audino hit the Houndoom, but it wasn't ready to give up yet. It began to run to the left of Audino but then disappeared. Fluttershy and Audino looked around for it, but then Houndoom reappeared behind Audino. Fluttershy couldn't get an order out, and Houndoom gave a nice set of scratches to Audino's back. It then jumped off of Audino's back and turned back at Audino. It closed its mouth and released a Flamethrower attack. Fluttershy raised her hoof as flames consumed Audino. Once they lowered, Audino fell to her knee.

"Audino!" Said Fluttershy

Audino got back up even though she was hurt. Oh Audino what can I do. I'm not like Jake, who would have beaten this Houndoom already. Oh, I wish I could figure something out. Fluttershy closed her eyes and tried to think of something when she felt something different in her. She felt a feeling of connection and warmth. She looked at Audino and Audino looked at her. I'm not sure why, but I want to try Mega Evolution. I don't know if it will work, but what else can I do. Fluttershy sighed as she brought up her Key Stone. She pressed her Key Stone and let her heart speak for her.

"Key Stone, listen to my heart, go Mega Evolution." Said Fluttershy

Soon beams of electricity shot out of the Key Stone and Mega Stone. The lines of energy connected and turned pink. Fluttershy watched as a light consumed Audino. Fluttershy watched as the light transformed Audino. Then it burst from her, and she yelled as a DNA symbol appeared over her head and disappeared.

"I did it. I mean we did it. We did it! We achieved Mega Evolution!" Said Fluttershy

"Audino."

The Houndoom growled, which told Fluttershy she was still in a fight. She got her head back in the game.

"Audino let's heal some of that damage. Heal Pulse." Said Fluttershy

Audino placed her hands together, and waves of energy surrounded itself. Fluttershy saw it was also calming the wild Houndoom. Looks like my chance just opened up.

"Audino, Dazzling Gleam." Said Fluttershy

Audino started to glow a rainbow color before it pointed both of her hands at the Houndoom and rainbow rays shot from Audino to the Houndoom. The Houndoom was struck with the attack and hit a tree. But Fluttershy watched it get up. I don't want to hurt the poor thing much more. I need to finish this fight by forcing it to run away. Fluttershy scanned Audino's move list as the Houndoom came running at them. Once again the Houndoom's fangs ignited consuming them in flames. Can't let that hit.

"Audino dodge." Said Fluttershy

Audino nodded, and as Houndoom jumped, Audino moved out of the way, but before the Houndoom could land, Fluttershy gave her attack order to Audino.

"Pound." Said Fluttershy

Audino's hand grew white before striking the Houndoom on the side of the face and sending it into a tree. Please just ran away. The Houndoom got up but could see it couldn't beat Audino in her Mega Evolution form. So it backed off and ran into the forest. Fluttershy sighed as the fight was over. She looked to see Audino once again in the strange light that allowed her to Mega Evolve. When the light disappeared, Audino was standing in front of Fluttershy in her usual form.

"Well, Audino, it looks like we win." Said Fluttershy

"Audino."

"Lillipup."

Fluttershy turned and smiled at the Puppy Pokemon. She stroked its head and smiled that it was safe.

"I'm glad you're safe Lillipup. Now, let's go head to the library and have Jake help me make you one of my Pokemon partners. Also, I'll get you patched up at the library as well, Audino." Said Fluttershy

"Aud, Audino."

"Lilli, Lillipup."

Fluttershy picked up the medical bag and placed it on her back as Audino deserved a break from carrying it. The group turned and began to walk out of the forest to the library so that Jake can help Fluttershy claim her new Pokemon partner, Lillipup.

Author's Note

So here is the last constant update of Poke Eques. I still plan to work on it, but after I update The Fabled Warrior and Solar Sun. But I hope you all enjoyed this new chapter, and I hope you enjoy Fluttershy's new Pokemon partner, Lillipup. Also, Fluttershy will be able to achieve Mega Evolution for the rest of the story.
