Chapters Magic of Order and Harmony
On a hot day, a cruise ship holding many people was on the ocean, especially the Guardians of Equestria. After they and the Order of the Stone defeated the Alliance of Darkness with Sunset Shimmer's help, Sunset was considered a hero back in a once-again peaceful Equestria. After two months, the guardians decided to take a vacation to the Human Island after receiving a letter from Sunset.
On the ship, Twilight Sparkle, currently wearing a blue blouse with a pink bow on the chest, purple shorts, black boots, a pair of purple sunglasses and her hair tied to a ponytail, was sitting at a table reading a book.
Meanwhile, Spike ran up to Twilight saying, "Hey, Twilight."
As Twilight looked down at Spike, she smiled. "Hey there, Spike. What were you up to?"
"Oh, Pinkie and I were just at the buffet. Turns out they do serve dogs some food here. But, that human said that I was the most strangest dog she'd ever seen, but she gave me some food anyway." Spike laughed. "Also, you're not going to believe this, but they also serve cake made by humans, and Pinkie went crazy for it."
"Did Rarity check out the spa?" Twilight asked.
"Of course. She even got her nails done, and yes. Rainbow did check out the mini golf course, and she actually won!"
"And Applejack and Fluttershy?"
"Applejack won a wrestling competition against some other human, and Fluttershy found some people who had pets and she gave compliments to those pet owners. They said she was an animal loving pacifist."
"Wow. Turns out Sunset was right. Life on a cruise ship really is a luxury!"
"I know, right?" A voice agreed.
As Spike and Twilight turned their heads, they saw the other guardians.
"Life on a cruise ship IS a luxury!" Pinkie Pie, who was wearing a blue jacket with a pink heart, a pink skirt with a balloon design, and blue boots with pink bows on the laces, exclaimed. "Free food, free spa, free mini golf, free everything!"
"Yeah. Life on a cruise ship is really awesome." Rainbow Dash, who was wearing a white shirt under a blue jacket with a rainbow lightning bolt on the back, black jeans and blue sneakers with rainbow laces, agreed as she held a gold trophy with a gold golf club on top. "I mean, just look at this trophy! I actually won a mini golf competition!"
"We know. Just don't let that get to your head." Applejack, who was wearing a red long-sleeved shirt, blue jeans, a brown cowgirl hat and brown boots with an apple design, replied, putting a hand on Rainbow's shoulder.
"I just can't wait until we get to the Human Island." Fluttershy, who was wearing a green knee-high dress with a pink butterfly design, her pink butterfly bracelet, a white butterfly hair clip, and pink flats, said. "Just imagine all of the fun we'll have once we get to that one spot that Sunset told us to go to."
"Speaking of one spot," As Twilight took out a folded map, she opened it and placed it flat on the table. "I wonder where Sunset wants us to go. Maybe she wants us to meet up with her once we get to the Human Island."
"Who knows? Maybe we'll see those five humans again." Rainbow said.
"Oh, I do hope so." Rarity, who was wearing a white blouse, gold bracelets, a purple skirt, black leggings and purple strapped flats with diamonds on the toes, said. "To be honest, I do miss them after those two months."
"Maybe we'll see them once we get to where Sunset wants us to go." Spike replied.
"Really?" Fluttershy asked.
"I did say maybe, didn't I?"
"Attention, everyone. This is your captain speaking. " A voice said from the ship's megaphones. "Whoever is ready to leave, we'll be reaching the island soon. I hope you had a good time on the Scavenger. "
Looking away from the group, Rainbow pointed through the distance. "There it is!"
As the others look through the distance, they see a large island from far away.
"The Human Island!" Twilight exclaimed after lifting her sunglasses, revealing her Enderman Eyes and getting attention from two humans. As Twilight saw their stare, she placed her sunglasses back onto her eyes.
"Don't worry, people. They're just eye contacts." Rainbow lied, seeing the humans shrug and walk away.
"No, they're not." Fluttershy said as Rainbow shushed her.
"Thank you." Twilight said.
"No sweat." Rainbow replied, placing a hand on Twilight's shoulder.
After the cruise ship finally reached the Human Island, the guardians got off the boat and looked around to see nature's beauty.
"This place is absolutely beautiful." Rarity said with awe.
"I know! Fresh air, awesome trees, that squid going to jump out of the water." After Rainbow crossed her arm, her eyes widen. "Wait, what?"
Suddenly, a blue squid jumped out of the water and clung onto Rainbow's face as the rainbow-haired girl screamed and ran around with the others watching.
"I got it." Fluttershy sighed, walking up to Rainbow. "Um, excuse me, Mr. Squid. Can you please get off my friend's face?"
Seeing the squid let go of Rainbow's face and fall into her arms, Fluttershy thanks the squid and sends him back into the ocean.
"Thank you." A shaking Rainbow said while looking at Fluttershy.
"Okay," Twilight said while looking at the map. "According to the trail Sunset made, it says that we should go forward, turn right, then turn left, then turn left again, then turn right, and we'll reach our destination in no time."
"Who needs a complicated map when we have a dog with us?" Rainbow replied, seeing Twilight look at Spike.
"She does have a point." Spike agreed.
"Okay, okay." Twilight said, putting the map into her pocket. "We'll let Spike lead the way."
"But, how are we going to find our destination with Spike leading us?" Applejack asked.
"Well, I still have Sunset's jacket from two months ago." Pinkie said while holding a black jacket.
As Spike sniffed the black jacket, he sniffed the air and said, "This way." Then, he started walking with the guardians following him.
"I hope this helps." Rarity said.
A while passed, and the guardians were still following Spike through the forest. Rarity was now starting to get the feeling that she and the others were being watched, while Rainbow just rolled her eyes at her.
"I don't see any buildings anywhere." Twilight said. "All I can see are trees."
"Don't worry, Twilight. We'll reach our destination in no time." Rainbow assured.
"Are you sure we don't need a map?" Fluttershy asked.
"Fluttershy, we'll be fine."
Suddenly, a straight object with red and white stripes fell in front of the guardians and blocked their way, leaving them with a scream of surprise. Then, they saw a strange green creature with four legs and green eyes wearing a black bicycle helmet in a mine cart slowly crossing in front of the guardians while watching them, and soon, the creature disappeared into the forest as the straight object went up, leaving the guardians in awkward silence.
"Well, that's something you don't see everyday." Pinkie said.
"What did Sunset call those green creatures again?" Applejack said with a finger on her chin.
"Let's just keep going." Spike said as he continued walking with the girls following.
"What the heck was that thing?" Rainbow mumbled while looking back. "No, seriously. What the heck was that thing?! It looked very weird, and creepy..."
Another while has passed, and the guardians were still in the forest on their way to their destination. Applejack was starting to get bored of walking, while Fluttershy was singing a song to herself.
There's music in the treetops
And there's music in a vale
And all around, the music fills the sky
There's music by the river
And there's music in the grass
And the music makes your heart soar in reply
Suddenly, the guardians stopped when they saw a million sheep crossing in front of the guardians.
"Really?!" Rainbow shouted with agitation. "Can't we just have a peaceful journey to our destination for once?!"
"Why didn't we just ask for directions instead?" Rarity said.
"Do you really want to know the answer for that?" Applejack replied with a stoic expression on her face.
"No."
"Good."
After the guardians waited for the sheep crossing to end, they were now getting bored of walking.
"Rainbow, are you sure that letting Spike lead the way was a good idea?" Applejack asked with crossed arms. "It feels like we've been walking in circles for hours! We're never going to reach our destination!"
"Come on, Applejack. We're going to reach our destination in no time." Rainbow said with her hands on the back of her head.
"You've been telling us that all day, and we're getting tired of walking!" As Applejack turned and saw Rarity faint, she turned back to Rainbow and said, "See?"
Turning around to look at Rarity, Twilight says, "Rarity, are you okay?"
"Yes. I'm just a little tired, that's all."
Twilight reaches for her pocket and pulls out the map. "I don't understand. Sunset told us to come to that spot, but where are we going to find it?"
"We could always try opening that gate and ask someone for directions?" Pinkie said.
"I don't know, Pinkie. But--" Twilight suddenly stopped talking and turned to Pinkie. "What gate?"
"That gate." Pinkie said while pointing.
The guardians stopped as they saw a wooden gate in front of them. With no hesitation, Twilight walked up to the gate and knocked on it as it opened, revealing a large town with many people walking around.
"No way." Rainbow said.
"Well, it's better than nothing." Applejack replied as she and the others walked into the town.
"This place looks peaceful. Just look at all these humans." Fluttershy said.
"This town does look wonderful." Rarity agreed. "We should probably stay for a night, then go back to finding our destination."
"If only." Applejack replied.
Suddenly, one of the humans noticed the guardians as he shouted, "They're here! You guys, they're here!"
Another human noticed the guardians. "Go! Tell them that the Equestrians are here!"
As the first human ran off, all of the other people ran out of their homes and cheered for the guardians.
"Um, okay..." Twilight said as she and the others kept walking with the humans cheering.
"They're here! They're actually here!" One of the humans shouted with glee.
"OMG! I love that girl's hair! It's, like, so pretty!" Another human shouted.
Rarity scoffed. "Of course people always comment about Rainbow's hair, but they never give me a compliment?"
"I think she was talking about you." Rainbow replied.
"Oh! Well, thank you."
"Oh my gosh! That dog is so cute, I just want to squeeze him to death!" Another human shouted.
"Hey! That's the girl Axel was talking about!" Another shouted while pointing at Pinkie.
"Axel's here?!" Pinkie exclaimed.
"Hey! I like your hat!" Another human shouted.
"Thanks! It's from my pa!" Applejack shouted back.
In the distance, the guardians heard a cluster of six familiar voices.
"Wait. Can you hear those voices?" Rainbow asked, putting a hand behind her ear.
As the guardians looked in front of themselves, their eyes widen as they saw six familiar faces being pushed by six other humans. They couldn't believe their eyes as they continued looking at them. Soon, the six townspeople stopped pushing those familiar faces to the guardians. It was them. It was actually the Order of the Stone! Jesse, Petra, Axel, Olivia, Lukas, and of course, Sunset Shimmer. As they looked at the guardians, their eyes widen. Everything went quiet for a while until...
"Twilight!" Sunset shouted with joy as she ran up to Twilight and gave her a hug. "I can't believe you guys actually got my letter and came!"
"Dude! I can't believe you actually live here!" Rainbow exclaimed seeing Lukas walk up to her.
As Rainbow and Lukas fist-bumped each other, Lukas suddenly got electrocuted as he fell to the ground.
"Sorry..."
"Ow..." Was all that Lukas could say.
"AXEL!" Pinkie shouted with joy as she ran up to Axel and gave him the biggest hug he had ever received.
"Dude! It's been two months! What are you doing here?" Axel asked, obviously glad to see his super close friend.
"Taking a vacation. Duh..."
As Sunset lets go of Twilight, she tells the guardians, "Welcome to the Human Island. We're so glad to see you."
"Same here." Rainbow said with crossed arms.
"What are you guys doing here? Are you paying us a visit?" Jesse asked.
"After those two months of what happened in Equestria, we decided to take a vacation here." Twilight answered.
"Sunset sent us a letter that if we were to take a vacation, we'd go to the Human Island." Pinkie said. "I heard that there was even cake! Speaking of cake, where is it? Where is it? Where is it? Where-"
"Okay, Candyhead. Calm down. You'll get to have cake later." Petra said, cutting Pinkie off.
"Okay!"
"Um, it's great to see you all, but where's Mr. Gabriel?" Fluttershy asked while looking around.
"Let's just say he's not here." Olivia answered. "He's probably someplace else."
"Um, okay."
"Listen. It's great to see you guys again, but mind if you show us around the place?" Spike asked. "I mean, we are new to the Human Island and all, but we need some guidance just in case we know where everything is."
"Well, we'd be glad to show you around the community." Sunset agreed as the other members of the Order agreed.
"YAAAAAAAAY!" Pinkie exclaimed as ran around the town with her super speed, then back to the group. "We are gonna have so much fun!"
After the Order gave the guardians a tour around the town, they decided to show them around their temple. The guardians already saw most of the temple, but what they were about to see next is their treasure room. As soon as they approached the treasure room, Jesse opened the doors and revealed a large room with lots of treasures.
"Well, here we are. Go ahead and stick around." Jesse said after the whole group entered the room.
"You humans have sponges here?" Fluttershy asked while looking at a sponge.
"Uh huh." Olivia answered. "These things can be found anywhere in the world. Mostly, they're found underwater, but they can be very useful when it comes to cleaning."
"That's funny. Usually, us Equestrians find them in markets." Applejack said as she snickered. "Most of the time, Pinkie would always buy a million sponges, wet them and bounce on them for fun."
"It's true!" Pinkie replied.
As Rarity stared at the diamond, her eyes widen with awe. "Oh my. I can't believe there are actual diamonds here."
"I know. Pretty cool, huh?" Petra agreed. "Got this diamond fresh from a cave."
"Oh, looking at it just makes me want to take it all of the sudden." Rarity said as she got ready to take the diamond. "So...beautiful..."
"Okay, that's enough diamond for you." Petra said while moving Rarity away from the diamond.
Filled with excitement, Pinkie ran around the room, looking at all of the treasures. "Ooh! I like that one, and that one. Oh, I also like that one! Did I mention that I also like this one? Oh, and this, and that, and that, and-"
"We get it." Rainbow and Lukas said, making Pinkie stop what she was doing.
As Twilight and Spike walked up to a red block, Twilight touched it as it started to make a beating sound every time it glowed. They screamed in surprise.
"It's beating like a real heart would!" Twilight shouted as she got attention from everyone else in the room.
"What is that and where did you get this thing?!" Spike shouted. "Did you guys slay a magical dragon and ripped it's heart out after it died?!"
Suddenly, the room broke into silence.
"No, but it would be really cool if we did." Petra said.
"If only." Axel replied.
"That, my friends, is called the Redstone Heart." Jesse explained while pointing at the red block. "We got that from another world while we were traveling."
"It's better if you don't know what happened." Lukas coughed as he massaged his temples.
"Let's just say that Lukas got a little bit-"
Before Sunset finished her explanation, Lukas covered his ears and walked out of the room, saying...
"Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope."
Suddenly, the room broke into silence. Again.
"What was that all about?" Applejack wanted to know.
"Um, let's just say Lukas doesn't want to talk about it." Sunset said.
"I know!" Pinkie exclaimed. "Lukas was being controlled by this giant computer-y guy that was planning to make the whole universe useful and the only way to to do that was to create a portal, but Jesse and his friends saved the day by yanking the Redstone Heart out of the computer's system because the computer's creator told him so, and Jesse managed to shut that computer down and save Lukas from that computer's corruption!"
Shocked by Pinkie's words, the Order was left with faces of shock and surprise. Even the rest of the guardians were shocked that Pinkie knew what has happened.
"How the heck did you know all of that?!" Jesse exclaimed with surprise in him voice.
"Just a hunch." Pinkie said.
"Um, okay..." Petra said.
"So, what else do you humans have?" Applejack wanted to know, seeing Jesse pull out a piece of flint and steel that was glowing.
"Check it out."
The guardians wore faces of awe while looking at the glowing flint and steel.
"Oh my, look at that radiant glow." Rarity said.
"So awesome! Where did you guys get it?" Rainbow asked.
"We found it in a temple." Olivia answered. "The first time we found it, we were very impressed with how it worked."
"How is this possible?" Twilight asked as if she wanted to know more about the flint and steel.
"Ivor told us that it was the work of old builders that existed before the Order of the Stone." Jesse answered.
"No way..." Spike said.
"Can I see it?" Pinkie asked. "Please? Please? Please? Please? Please? Please-"
"Okay. Okay." Jesse replied, giving Pinkie the flint and steel. "Just be careful. It's enchanted."
"Cool! I'm gonna strike it now."
"No! Not in here!" Jesse shouted, but it was too late.
As Pinkie struck the flint and steel, she got blown away as she dropped the flint and steel and hit the wall. The others gasped, seeing Pinkie fall to the ground.
"Oh my gosh! Pinkie, are you okay?" Sunset asked with a tone of concern.
"That was awesome!" Pinkie shouted with joy after she got up from the ground. "Can I do that again?"
"NO!" The others shouted as Jesse picked up the flint and steel.
"But, why not?" Pinkie asked with a begging face.
"You might get yourself hurt, Pinkie!" Lukas called.
"Aw..."
"So, I have one question that I was going to ask." Twilight said. "What do you humans like to do for fun?"
Not knowing how to answer Twilight's question, the Order (Including Sunset) huddled up as Lukas walked back in the room and joined the huddle.
"Okay, so we all know why the Guardians of Equestria are here, right?" Jesse whispered.
"Yeah. They just came here for a vacation." Petra whispered back. "Though, I don't know how long they will be here."
"Trust me, none of us do." Olivia replied.
"But, how do they want their vacation to run?" Lukas asked.
"Why don't we ask Sunset? She knows the guardians well than all of us." Axel remarked.
"It's true." Sunset agreed.
"Okay." As Jesse turned to Sunset, he said, "Sunset, you know the guardians well than all of us. What is some of their interests?"
"When Applejack was a little girl, she lived on a farm with her grandmother, her older brother and her younger sister." Sunset explained. "She loved gardening, and she still does gardening today. She even sold some of her crops when she was twelve. Though Fluttershy loves Endermen, she also loves all kinds of animals from predator to prey, and her favorite animal is a rabbit because she finds them really cute and fluffy. We all know that Pinkie is the most talented of her family. But, she's more than just entertainment. She's one heck of a party person if you ask me, and she also likes games, and candy. Also, Rarity is a freak for fashion and she would always dress up for special occasions. She can even sew her own clothes. If you challenge Rainbow to a race, she would automatically accept the challenge, and she'd race to win. As for Twilight, she loves to read books, and she made a few of her own."
"Okay. I'll just take Applejack to a farmer's market that is not too far from this town." Olivia said.
"Looks like I'm taking Pinkie to a carnival then." Axel said as he smiled.
"Sounds like a day of clothes shopping for me and Rarity." Petra said.
"Horseback riding for Rainbow it is." Lukas said.
"I'll take Fluttershy to a petting zoo." Jesse said. "But, that leaves Twilight."
"Don't worry. I'll take Twilight to the local library." Sunset said as she smiled. "You know how she is with books."
"Looks like we're all set here. Let's do this."
As soon as the Order got out of the huddle, they looked at the guardians.
"Hey, Applejack. How about you and I go to a farmer's market that is not too far from town?" Olivia said, rubbing the back of her neck and wearing a nervous smile.
Hearing every word Olivia said, Applejack smiled and whooped. "Now, your talking like an Apple! I would love to go!"
"I would like to go to a petting zoo that is not too far from here." Fluttershy said.
"Speaking of petting zoo, I'm taking you to one." Jesse replied, seeing Fluttershy gasp with delight.
"Really?"
"Uh huh."
"Yay! We're going to have so much fun! Petting sheep, rabbits, and lot's of cute there!"
While Fluttershy was talking about the petting zoo, Jesse gently walked out of the room, pulling Fluttershy along.
"Hey, Pinkie. There's this carnival that is not too far from town, and I only have two tickets." Axel said. "Want to come?"
"Would I?" Pinkie replied, grabbing Axel's arm and running out of the room with her super speed activated.
"Rarity. I heard that you like fashion, correct?" Petra said to Rarity.
"Oh! Why, yes I do." Rarity replied.
"Then, I know a perfect place that has clothes. Just follow me, and we'll get there."
"Okay."
As soon as Petra and Rarity walked out of the room, Lukas looked at Rainbow.
"Hey, Dash. You, me, stable, now."
"Are you challenging me to a race?" Rainbow asked with crossed arms, seeing Lukas nod. "Challenge accepted."
"Is there a library here?" Twilight asked.
"Of course. I do know where it is." Sunset answered. "I'll take you there."
"Okay, then."
Sunset pulled out a map of the town and showed it to Twilight as she circled one part of the map with a red marker. "The library is right here."
"Maybe I can teleport us there."
"I like the sound of that."
Grabbing Sunset's hand, Twilight teleported out of the room along with the fire-haired girl. Then, Olivia and Applejack started walking out of the room.
"So, maybe after we leave the market, I'll teach you redstone engineering." Olivia offered.
"You know, I'd like that." Applejack replied.
As Applejack and Olivia left for the market and Lukas and Rainbow left for the stable, Spike was the only one in the treasure room.
"Okay, you guys have a good time!" Spike called. "I'll just hang around the treasure room and look at some stuff."
Magic of Order and Harmony
Chapter 2: The Tale of Midnight Sparkle
Things have went smoothly for the Guardians of Equestria and the Order of the Stone.
Applejack and Olivia have got themselves some fresh apples at the market, though it was all Applejack's idea to get two bags of a dozen apples, and after they went back to the temple, Olivia taught Applejack engineering just like she promised, and Applejack surprisingly enjoyed it.
Fluttershy obviously had a good time at the petting zoo. She was delighted about all of the animals she was able to touch, although some people at the petting zoo had no idea how she can understand them. Not even Jesse had a clue.
For Axel and Pinkie, they had the time of their lives at the carnival. Pinkie managed to win almost every game in the carnival. She even made a bet with Axel that whoever wins the Test-Your-Strength Game will go to either ride they want to go on. Though Axel lost the bet, he still had a lot of fun.
As for Rarity and Petra, they had a good time at a clothing shop, but mostly Rarity had a good time. Rarity tried on so many outfits, she chose the ones she liked. As for Petra, she wasn't really thrilled with shopping, but she did have a good time anyway.
Lukas and Rainbow had a blast when they were racing on horses. When Lukas challenged her to a race, Rainbow knew that she was going to win. After racing around the stable, Rainbow actually won the race and did her victory dance that Lukas didn't get, but actually had a great time with his rainbow-haired friend.
As for Twilight and Sunset, they had a great time at the library. Sunset found a few books that she was interested in, but Twilight found so many books. Twilight liked those books so much, Sunset decided to rent them for her. The librarian was surprised about the amount of books they were taking, but she was quite impressed that Twilight has an interest in books.
Right now, it was nighttime, and the Order and the guardians were outside the temple near a campfire with Ivor, who was telling the guardians a story that involved one of the Order's adventures.
"And then, there we were." Ivor told. "Stranded above dangerous Ender Mites because of that dreaded White Pumpkin! But fortunately, Jesse got us out alive when he got that flint and steel and left that murderer with the Ender Mites."
The guardians clapped after Ivor had finished the story as Ivor bowed.
"That was absolutely wonderful." Rarity said while clapping.
"Well, it was okay." Rainbow replied.
"So, how was your vacation here?" Ivor asked.
"We had a blast! But, mostly I had a blast." Pinkie answered. "Axel took me to this carnival that was not too far from here! My souvenir," She points to the yellow bow in her hair. "This cute little bow."
"We all had a good time." Applejack said.
"Glad you guys are having a good time." Petra said.
"Eh, my time here is okay." Spike replied. "I did walk around the streets like an ordinary stray dog would, and I did find a group of stray dogs in an alley way."
"And, how was it for you?" Jesse asked.
"The dogs were okay, except for every time I tell them a knock-knock joke."
Flashback...
In an alley way, Spike was sitting down with a group of five dogs. He had a good time, until...
"Hey guys. Knock knock."
The dogs suddenly started barking at Spike.
"If I told you guys once, I told you a thousand times! It's not a REAL door! It's just a joke!"
End of flashback
"Yeah..."
"Well, that's just how dogs are." Lukas replied to Spike. "They bark at something or someone for no good reason."
"Wow. You just blew my mind. Thank you, Lukas." Spike said sarcastically.
Hearing that, Lukas wore a stoic expression on his face, knowing it was sarcasm.
"So, who wants me to tell the story on how we got the Redstone Heart?" Ivor asked, seeing all the guardians but Rainbow raised their hands.
"Well, it went like-"
"Okay, Mr. Ivor. I think you had enough storytelling for tonight." Rainbow said, seeing Ivor sit on a log with crossed arms and narrowed eyebrows. "I'm going to tell you humans a REAL story, based on Equestria's history. So prepare yourselves. This story is no walk in the park, and you better find someone to hug."
Hearing Rainbow's words, Axel grabbed Spike and hugged him as if he were a stuffed animal.
"Eh..." Spike sighed.
"Okay, spit it out. I want to know." Petra demanded.
"It's about time I tell you humans about the tale of Midnight Sparkle." Rainbow revealed, seeing raised eyebrows plastered on the Order's faces.
"Midnight who?" Lukas asked.
"I thought we agreed to never tell that story to anyone." Applejack scolded.
"True, but if we're going to stay here, the Order should know." Rainbow replied.
"Are you sure they should know about this?" Fluttershy asked with a tone of concern.
"Totally."
Twilight sighed. "Okay."
"Go on..." Jesse said.
"Midnight Sparkle was one of the oldest members of the Alliance of Darkness." Rainbow told. "She was absolutely powerful, and she had a taste for power. Her wings were dark as midnight, her eyes sparkled with power, and the gem on her crown glowed every time she absorbed magic. So many people feared her back then, until one day. She was sent to Canterlot to absorb power from all of the most powerful Equestrians. The more she attacked, the more power she wanted. But, that's when Starswirl the Bearded came and trapped her in a small crystal that he hoped will keep her contained for all of eternity. But that's when war struck. A Changeling managed to find the crystal that kept Midnight imprisoned, but he failed to release her when Princess Celestia blasted that Changeling with magic, making him drop the crystal into the ocean. No one in Equestria knows if Midnight Sparkle still lives in that crystal, but they do believe that Midnight Sparkle will return for revenge someday."
After Rainbow finished telling her story, Axel screamed like a little girl as he squeezed Spike. Then, he noticed wide-eyed expressions on everyone's faces. "Sorry..."
"So, about this Midnight Sparkle, how powerful is she?" Olivia asked.
"Midnight Sparkle is so powerful, she can destroy a single statue in one hit." Twilight answered.
"She's also so scary, even the Endermen are scared of her." Fluttershy said.
"This Midnight Sparkle, how long did she live?" Jesse asked.
"She's been around Equestria for a millennia." Applejack answered. "And, nobody knows if she still lives."
"Who knows? She's probably stuck in the middle of the ocean right now." Rainbow said.
"I can only think about it." Petra laughed, getting stoic faces from everyone else. "What? I'm just saying."
"Oh! Look at the time!" Rarity said while looking at her pocket watch. "It's getting late already! Now, please excuse me, I have some sleep to get."
"Yeah. We should be getting some rest for tomorrow." Rainbow agreed as she got up from her log and walked away.
The others but Jesse and Sunset agreed, getting up from their logs and walking back to the temple as Twilight looked at them.
"Um, are you two coming?" Twilight asked.
"Don't worry about us. We'll catch up." Jesse replied, seeing Twilight nod and walk away with Spike following.
"Hey, Rainbow. Want to race again tomorrow?" Lukas asked.
"Challenge accepted." Rainbow replied.
After seeing the others walk back to the temple, Jesse took out a container of cookies as Sunset took one.
"This was a good idea." Sunset said as she took a bite from her cookie.
"I know. Now that the guardians are here, we can spend a lot of time together now." Jesse agreed. "Too bad they won't be here for long."
"We might see them again if they decided to take another vacation here."
Jesse chuckled. "Maybe. Just maybe."
Thinking of that tale Rainbow told, Sunset stared at the ground, which caught Jesse's attention.
"You okay, Sunset?" Jesse asked with a raised eyebrow.
"I'm okay. It's just every time Rainbow brings that story up, I always wonder."
"What?" Jesse asked as he bit his cookie.
"Where is Midnight Sparkle?" Sunset looked at the night sky.
Meanwhile, a pair of siblings were walking on the beach. One of them looked over the ocean, while the other one looked at his iron arm.
As the sister looked at her brother, she asked, "Does it still hurt?"
"A little." The brother said. "I thank Lester for giving me this arm, but I still blame that Enderman for...you know."
The sister looked over the ocean again. "Have you ever wonder what else is out there? Something that we never knew existed? Something new that we never heard of?"
"Who knows? Maybe your wonders are true."
Suddenly, the siblings saw a small pink light from far away as they ran to find the source of the light. After all that running they saw that the light was coming from a pink gem that was washed up on shore. Filled with curiosity, the brother picked up the gem and looked at it.
"What is it?" The sister asked.
"I don't know. I've never seen anything like it."
"Should we bring it to Lester tomorrow?"
"It's best of we should. He might know what it is." The brother agreed, putting the gem into his pocket. "Let's go home."
After the sister agreed, the two siblings walked home, still carrying the glowing crystal that they were curious about.
Magic of Order and Harmony
Chapter 3: Strange Powers
The next day, Sunset was sleeping peacefully in her bed. As she felt a beam of sun hit her face, she opened her eyes and got out of bed as she walked up to the mirror and looked at her reflection.
"Sounds like today is going to be great day for all of us." Sunset said. "Let's just hope that nothing goes wrong while the guardians have a vacation here. I just hope that they have a good time."
Suddenly, Sunset heard a knock on her door as she walked away from the mirror and opened her door, seeing an exhausted Ivor in front of her.
"Um, good morning..."
Ivor quickly grabbed Sunset's arm and dragged her out of her room.
"Ivor, if this is about the potion incident, I already told you. It was only one time-"
After reaching the door to Jesse's room, Ivor lets go of Sunset's hand.
"Why are we near Jesse's room?"
"I don't know. Why don't you do me a favor and look for yourself?!" Ivor shouted.
"Um, okay..." As Sunset opened the door, she entered the room. "Jesse, did you have another dream about-" When she looked up, her eyes widen with shock. "Uh, Jesse?"
What Sunset saw Jesse in his bed floating, along with the other items in his room as she heard a scream of shock from him.
"I-I don't understand! Only telepathic Equestrians float in their sleep!"
"How is this possible?!" Ivor shouted after he entered the room.
"I don't know!" Jesse replied. "One moment, I was dreaming about tap-dancing chickens and an ogre playing the piano that won't stop calling me Steven, and poof! I wake up floating in my own room!"
"How are you doing that?" Sunset asked.
"I have no idea, but I'm scared! Please help!"
"Have you tried blinking?"
"How is blinking going to help?" Seeing Sunset wear a stoic expression on her face, Jesse sighed. "Okay, fine." As Jesse blinked once, everything that was floating fell to the ground as he fell out of his bed. "Ow..."
"Are you the only one?" Sunset asked while levitating Jesse off the ground and putting him on feet.
"I don't know. I just woke up."
"Hmm. There's got to be something that's causing you to have these powers. We should gather everyone to the treasure room and talk about the other members of the Order having powers too."
"That's sounds like a wonderful idea! I'll ready some food for all of you!" Ivor said as he ran out of the room.
"Ivor can cook, right?" Sunset asked, seeing Jesse give her a shrug.
Applejack and Fluttershy were with Olivia in her lab, helping her with a new redstone contraption.
"Thanks for helping me with my new contraption, girls. I appreciate the help." Olivia said.
"Anytime." Applejack replied. "But, can you please tell me what this thing is for?"
"Oh! This is just to defend the town from any certain danger. Just in case some crazy person tries to invade the place."
"Does that sound a little...what's the word...off?" Fluttershy asked.
"Meh." Olivia sighed. "Though, I always wondered. What happens when an Equestrian dies?"
Hearing Olivia's question, Applejack pulls out two bags of colorful glowing dust, one bag was yellow while the other was red, and showed them to Olivia.
"What is that stuff?"
"The dust of an Equestrian." Fluttershy said. "When an Equestrian dies, their soul will fly to the heavens and turn to a star while their body will turn to glowing dust that is the color of their blood."
"These bags of dust hold my ma and pa." Applejack explained. "My family and I lost them while we were walking home when I was little, and I carried their dust ever since."
"Wow. I'm really sorry, Applejack." Olivia said while holding her arm.
"It's okay. I got over it years ago."
Olivia sighed. "If only we can use some more help." Suddenly, an idea popped into her head. "Maybe, I can create something so useful, it can actually help me! But how to make it. Maybe, I could use some cauldron to create it."
Suddenly, a cauldron filled with water floated into the room, making Applejack and Fluttershy's eye widen.
"Did you see that?" Applejack whispered, seeing Fluttershy nod.
"And, maybe I can use five--no--ten pieces of redstone." Olivia continued as ten pieces of redstone flew out of a chest and into the cauldron as Applejack and Fluttershy saw.
Fluttershy lifted a finger. "Um, Olivia-"
"Oh, and two potions! One of them swiftness, and the other," Olivia gasped. "Potion of Health!"
Applejack then saw two potions, one blue and the other pink, fly into the room as the bottles opened themselves and poured the potions into the cauldron. "Olivia-"
"One more ingredient. Maybe some of that Equestrian Dust."
Suddenly, the yellow bag flew out of Applejack's grasp as it opened itself and poured the dust into the cauldron. "And, there goes my pa."
"Stir it all together with, with what?" Olivia snapped her fingers. "I know! A wooden stick!"
A wooden stick flew out of another chest as it stirred everything that was in the cauldron as if it were cake batter.
"Olivia..." Aplejack and Fluttershy said.
As the ingredients on the cauldron were mixed together, the cauldron started shaking as the liquid inside exploded.
Olivia turned around to look at Applejack and Fluttershy. "What was that?" Seeing Fluttershy point at the cauldron, Olivia looked at it as she raised an eyebrow, seeing a pair of pale red stubby arms grab the rim of the cauldron as a tiny pale red mochi-like creature with stubby arms, no legs, rosy cheeks, red eyes and a mouth fall out of the cauldron as it made a tiny squeak when it hit the ground.
"What the heck is that?" Applejack asked.
"I don't know, but it looks so cute." Olivia walked up to the small creature. "Hello there, little guy. Are you okay?"
As the creature looked up at Olivia, it smiled as it started hopping and squeaking.
"Um, what?"
The cauldron started moving side to side as it tipped over, revealing nine more creatures similar to the one Olivia saw. The small creatures hopped out of the cauldron and joined the first one, then they started hopping and squeaking in front of Olivia.
"Okay, what just happened while I was think of help?"
"Well, when you said you needed something, many things started floating around and flew into the room and those ingredients placed themselves into that cauldron." Applejack explained.
"Suddenly, the ingredients started forming these cute little creatures, and now they're calling you mommy." Fluttershy added.
"Okay, that makes a lot of-" Olivia stopped herself. "Wait, what?"
Fluttershy smiled. "They're calling you mommy, Olivia. Isn't that sweet?"
"You can understand them?!" Olivia said, seeing Fluttershy nod. "What do you mean they're calling me a mom?!"
"Well, you did create them with a purpose." Applejack said.
"Wait, if I created them, and they're calling me a mom, then that means..." Olivia's eyes widen as she screamed and ran out of the room with the creatures hopping after her.
"Only Zecora can make objects float when she needs them!" Applejack said as she and Fluttershy ran after Olivia and the creatures.
Outside the temple, Twilight, Rarity and Spike were watching Petra fight an armor stand with her sword as if it were one of her enemies. As Petra stopped fighting the stand, she turned to the three Equestrians and bowed as they clapped.
"That was amazing!" Spike exclaimed. "Do you think that I could hold a sword and fight that stand like that?"
"Well, if you had thumbs, yes." Petra said as Spike looked at both his paws. "Well, that's enough talking. I have a lot of training to do. But how am I going to train with just an armor stand?"
"Maybe I can help you with your training problem." Rarity offered.
"Yeah! Rarity can make not just weapons and structures out of ice, but can make people too!" Twilight agreed.
"You know what, I'd like that." Petra replied, readying herself for more training. "Give me the best ice warriors you can make!"
Hearing this, Rarity 's hand started glowing as she made three men out of her own ice, one holding a sword and shield, one holding a mace, and one holding a spear.
"Perfect."
Letting out a battle cry, Petra ran up to the ice men to fight them as she first went up to the one with the mace. The ice man was about to hit her with his mace, but she pulled it out of his grasp as she smashed him with it.
"Go, Petra!" Spike shouted while holding a sign that said 'Go Petra!'
As Petra ran up to the ice man with the sword and shield, she lifted her sword as another one suddenly flew out of nowhere and hit the ice man in the chest, making him shatter to pieces. The Equestrians eyes widened after Petra stopped what she was doing.
Turning to the Equestrians, Petra glared at Rarity. "Rarity!"
Rarity shrugged as she said, "I didn't do it." She got up from the bench she was sitting on and walked up to Petra. "Darling, I don't know what just happened, but you have to calm down."
"Calm down? I was going to smash that ice man, but some other person smashed him for me!"
"Okay, maybe if I escort you inside..."
"No, thank you!" Suddenly, Petra made a giant transparent shield come out of nowhere and made it push Rarity to the lake, seeing Rarity fall into the lake. She looked at her hands and raised an eyebrow. "What?"
"How did you do that?" Twilight asked, seeing Petra shrug at her as she made ten transparent arrows come out of nowhere.
"What the?!" Petra suddenly made the arrows fly to Twilight and Spike, making the two Equestrians scream and dodge them, making the arrows hit the wall.
"Seriously! How are you doing that?!" Spike wanted to know.
"I don't know!"
Meanwhile, Rarity climbed out of the lake and walked back to the others. "Petra, how are you doing that?! How are you summoning weapons?!"
"I have no idea, but I'm freaking out!" Petra shouted with her hands on her head.
"I don't understand either." Twilight replied. "Only Canterlot's Royal Guard can summon weapons. Including Jewel Joy, and Flash Sentry, and Shining Armor, and-"
"Twilight, we get it." Spike said with a stoic expression on his face.
"Wait. So I summoned that sword just so it can smash that ice man?" Petra asked.
"I think so." Twilight replied.
"We should probably take you to Mr. Ivor." Rarity said while her hands were on Petra's shoulders. "Maybe he knows what is going on since he's heard of us Equestrians and knows what has happened from those two months."
"Yeah. Maybe you're right." Petra agreed.
Rarity turned to the ice man with the spear. "Um, you can take a break if you wish."
Seeing the four walk back into the temple, the ice man stabbed his spear into the ground and lied on the grass, watching the clouds in the sky.
Inside the temple, Jesse and Sunset were walking in the hallway on their way to the treasure. Jesse looked at his hands as he raised an eyebrow.
"Are you okay?" Sunset asked, getting Jesse's attention.
"Um, I'm not sure if I should trust myself now." Jesse replied. "I mean, that was one of the most craziest things I've done. I mean, one moment, that crazy dream, and now I wake up floating in my own slumber. How can I even do that?"
"Hey, I'm not sure how you're able to float in your sleep like a telepathic Equestrian can, but I'm pretty sure that you'll be fine." Sunset said as she placed a hand on Jesse's shoulder.
As Jesse placed a hand on Sunset's, his eyes started glowing as he saw an image of an Enderman playing the violin while three flowers were dancing on their roots on a stage. When that image faded, Jesse placed a hand on his head. "What the heck was that?!"
"What?" Sunset said with a raised eyebrow.
"I saw an Enderman playing the violin while flowers were dancing on their roots! I cannot believe I just saw that!" Jesse grabbed Sunset by the shoulders. "Whatever this new ability is, it's already driving me nuts!"
"It's just a memory from two years ago." Sunset explained. "Discord and Fluttershy entered a talent show in Canterlot. Fluttershy taught and Enderman how to play the violin while Discord practiced making flowers dance on their roots. They won first place, by the way."
"Who won last place?" Jesse asked.
"Five of Canterlot's Royal Guards singing A-Capella."
"Um, okay..."
Suddenly, Jesse and Sunset heard an explosion from outside as they ran out of the temple, seeing a cloud of smoke in front of them. Sunset used her magic to blow the smoke away, seeing Axel covered in gunpowder.
"What happened out here?" Jesse asked as Axel shrugged.
As they heard a groan, Jesse and Sunset turned and saw Pinkie, who was also covered in gunpowder, sit up and rub her head as they ran up to her and helped her up.
"Are you okay?" Sunset asked.
"That. Was. Awesome!" Pinkie shouted with a smile.
"What happened? Why are you two covered in gunpowder?"
"Well, Axel and I were going to play with my chalk bombs outside, but I realized didn't bring my chalk bombs!" Pinkie explained. "So instead, we filled pouches with gunpowder and threw them at each other. Axel was like, you need more gunpowder! And I was like, no! You need more gunpowder! But when Axel threw his last gunpowder pouch at me, it glowed green and exploded as if it were TNT!"
"What?" Jesse and Sunset said with raised eyebrows.
"Dude! Just check this out." Axel started walking up to Pinkie's side, grabbing one of the pouches as he tossed it to the ground. When he did that, it glowed a green aura and exploded like TNT, covering himself and Pinkie with even more gunpowder and making Sunset and Jesse cough.
"Like that as I explained it! But, it was awesome!" Pinkie exclaimed.
"Okay. Maybe, you two had enough gunpowder fights for now. How about we just bring you inside and get you guys cleaned up?" Sunset started pushing Axel and Pinkie into the temple as Jesse followed.
Meanwhile, Rainbow and Lukas were racing again. But this time, they were circling around a cluster of trees.
"I won this race once, I'll win again!" Rainbow shouted with determination in her voice.
"Ha! Not on my watch!" Lukas said as his horse went faster.
Rainbow's eyes widened, but she wouldn't allow being a loser. She lit her hand with lightning and gave her horse a quick shock as her horse went faster. "Catch me if you can!"
"Oh, it's on!"
Soon, Rainbow's horse finally reached the stable first as the rainbow-haired girl cheered with pride.
"Yes! I finally did it!" Rainbow exclaimed. "Woohoo! Nailed it again! Eat your heart out-"
After Rainbow turned to the finish line, she saw Lukas' horse cross the finish line. But she suddenly noticed something. Lukas was not on his horse. It was just his horse only who crossed the line.
"Uh, Lukas?" As Rainbow got off her horse, she looked around. "Lukas." She called, but no one answered. "Okay, I'm just going to look for him. You two, don't go anywhere. I'll be right back once I find him."
See Rainbow walk away, the horses turned to each other and neighed replies to each other.
Inside the treasure room, Axel and Pinkie were getting their faces cleaned up by Sunset, while Jesse was sitting down staring at the floor.
"Um, is he okay?" Pinkie asked while looking at Jesse.
"Let's just say that Jesse had a strange morning for him." Sunset replied.
"What happened?" Axel wanted to know.
"It's really hard to explain."
"Jesse had a dream about tap-dancing chickens and an ogre pianist that kept calling him Steven, and he suddenly woke up floating in his own bed and a while later, he suddenly saw an image of an Enderman playing the violin while flowers were dancing on their roots!" Pinkie said, giving wide-eyed expressions on Sunset and Jesse's faces.
"Let me guess. Just a hunch?" Jesse said.
"Yes..."
As the four heard the door open, they turned their heads and saw Twilight, Rarity, Spike and Petra walk in.
"Has any one of you seen Mr. Ivor anywhere?" Twilight asked.
"He's currently making food for all of us." Sunset answered. "So, he's busy right now. Why?"
"While we were outside, Rarity made three ice men for Petra to fight. After Petra smashed one of the ice men, she summoned a sword and smashed another with it. Rarity planned to escort her inside, but Petra summoned a shield that pushed her into a lake. Then, she summoned arrows and made them fly at me and Spike. But, we dodged them if you were wondering."
"Can someone please explain why Axel and Pinkie are covered in gunpowder?" Spike said while looking at Axel and Pinkie with a raised eyebrow.
"Long story, short. Gunpowder explodes every time I throw it." Axel said.
"But, what about Jesse?" Rarity asked.
"Let's just say that I had a weird morning." Jesse said.
Hearing a scream from outside of the room, everyone turned to the door as they saw Olivia run into the room.
"Get them away from me!" Olivia shouted as she ran and hid behind Sunset.
"Get what away from you, exactly?" Sunset asked with a raised eyebrow.
Olivia pointed to the door. "THEM!"
As everyone turned back to the door, they saw a cluster of ten shadows walking up to the door as they got ready to fight what was coming. Then, they saw the source of the shadows, ten cute little creatures that squeaked and bounced and were after Olivia.
"What the heck are those?" Petra asked with a raised eyebrow.
"I have no idea, but Applejack said I created them, while Fluttershy said that they're calling me a mom!" Olivia explained.
"You created them?" Spike asked.
"I was in my lab with Applejack and Fluttershy helping me, and I was thinking of some more help. Then, I heard an explosion behind me, and I saw those creatures jump out of the cauldron and jump in front of me! I asked what happened, and Applejack and Fluttershy said that I was making items float every time I needed them!"
"So, you did create them?" Jesse asked.
Olivia suddenly broke into silence, but she finally spoke. "Yes. But, why are you guys in here?"
"I summoned weapons." Petra said.
"I made gunpowder explode every time I threw it." Axel said.
"I floated in my sleep and I saw one of Sunset's memories." Jesse said.
As everyone turned to the door again, they saw Applejack and Fluttershy enter the room.
"Did you tell them?" Applejack asked Olivia, seeing her nod.
"Why is almost everyone in here?" Fluttershy asked while looking around in the room.
"Okay," Jesse started. "One moment, I had the strangest dream in my entire life, and I suddenly woke up floating in my bed. Then, Sunset and I were walking in the hallway and I saw an image of an Enderman playing the violin and flowers dancing on their roots."
Hearing what Jesse said made Fluttershy's eyes widen. "It must be a memory from two years ago..."
"Pinkie and I were playing with pouches that were filled with gunpowder, and one of them exploded when I threw it at her." Axel said.
"And I made weapons like swords, shields and arrows come out of nowhere and they suddenly disappeared." Petra said.
Putting a finger on her chin, Applejack asked, "Speaking of disappearing, has anyone seen Lukas and Rainbow?"
Hearing the door slam, everyone turned and saw an exhausted Rainbow at the door.
"I...lost...Lukas..." Rainbow panted, seeing wide-eyed expressions on everyone's faces.
"What do you mean you lost Lukas?" Applejack asked.
"He and I were outside racing on horses, and when I crossed the finish line, he wasn't on his horse!" Rainbow explained. "I looked for him everywhere! The library, the bakery, the local pool, everywhere!" She placed her hands on her head. "Oh, this is really bad. The Ocelots-"
"They call themselves the Blaze Rods now." Petra corrected.
"Right. The Blaze Rods are going to kill me for this!"
"Think again!" A voice shouted from outside the room.
As everyone turned to the door again, they saw an irritated Lukas stomp in with feathers in his hair.
"I've been looking for you!" Rainbow shouted as Lukas stopped where he was.
"What happened to you?" Jesse asked. "You look like you've been attacked by chickens."
"Okay. Imagine this." Lukas started. "I was on my horse racing with Rainbow, and I suddenly appeared in the chicken coop being attacked by chickens!"
"So, you were attacked by chickens?" Pinkie asked.
"No, the chickens were attacked by me..." Lukas said sarcastically. "Of course I was attacked by chickens!"
"Dude, just calm down. There's no need to stress out about it." Rainbow assured.
"Rainbow is right. None of us shouldn't be panicking about this." Twilight agreed.
"Calm down? I summoned weapons, for crying out loud!" Petra yelled.
"I just floated in my own bed!" Jesse shouted.
"I made gunpowder explode!" Axel shouted.
"I created them!" Olivia shouted while pointing at the creatures.
"I made cinnamon rolls!" Ivor, who was holding a plate of cinnamon rolls, said as he suddenly saw the Order talking all at once. He turned to the guardians, seeing Twilight shrug.
"Does anyone know what is going on?" Sunset asked, seeing the five of the guardians and Ivor shrug.
Meanwhile, Pinkie looked at the Order, and suddenly had an idea of what is going on. "I think I know what's going on!" She shouted as the Order stopped talking. She ran up to Ivor. "Mr. Ivor, do you still have that book?"
"What book?" Ivor asked.
"You know, the one that talks about Equestria, the land's culture, it's history, and all sorts of Equestrian stuff."
"Oh! That book. Why, yes I do."
"Well, can I see it for a moment? Please? Please? Please? Please? Please? Please? Please? Please-"
"Alright! Alright! Relax." As Ivor placed the plate of cinnamon rolls on a table, he pulled out a brown book and gave it to Pinkie. "Here!"
"Thanks." Taking the book from Ivor, Pinkie ran back to the others as she opened the book all the way to a page with a familiar circle. "See this?"
"The Harmony Circle?" Olivia asked.
"Uh huh."
"What about it? It's just a prophecy stating that seven Equestrians and five humans will someday take down the Alliance of Darkness." Petra said.
Pinkie pointed to the page. "Well, it says right here that after those twelve people defeat the Alliance, the five humans will gain magical powers just so they can use them to protect their own kind."
"Pinkie, what are you trying to say?" Sunset asked.
"What I'm trying to say is that the prophecy is giving the Order all new magical abilities!" Pinkie answered.
"So, that prophecy gave them powers?" Rainbow asked.
"Duh."
"Oh. For some reason, I thought it was exposure to the air in Equestria." Fluttershy said, placing a finger on her chin. "Or was it the water or our gems?"
"What makes you think it was the water?" Applejack asked with a raised eyebrow.
"They probably swallowed some of the Aqua Stars..." Fluttershy answered as Petra took a look at her tongue.
"What kind of powers to you think they have?" Rarity asked Pinkie.
"Well, Jesse has telepathy and mind reading, Petra can summon weapons, Axel can make gunpowder explode every time he throws it, Olivia can make things float every time she needs them and can control the living things she created, and Lukas can teleport!" Pinkie said.
The room suddenly broke into silence, until Lukas boomed out...
"I can teleport?!"
"I can read people's minds?!" Jesse shouted.
"I can summon weapons?!" Petra shouted.
"I can make gunpowder explode?" Axel shouted.
"I can make things float every time I need them?" Olivia shouted.
"Uh huh." Pinkie said. "Do you know what that means?"
The room suddenly went into silence again.
"It means you humans have to learn to control them!" Rainbow shouted, filling the silence in the room.
"Wait, we have to learn how to control our powers?" Olivia asked. "Are you kidding?"
"Aw, don't worry." Pinkie said. "Your new powers aren't that bad once you learn to control them."
Hearing Pinkie's answer, Lukas fainted which caught everyone's attention. Meanwhile, Sunset activated her magic, making a bucket of water float into the room as she spilled the water on Lukas' face, which woke him up.
"Thanks. I needed that." Lukas said while rubbing his eye.
"We have to learn to control our new powers now?" Petra asked. "This can't be happening!"
"Oh, it's happening, alright." Applejack replied. "But, there's no need to fret. We do know some experts that might be able to help you control your new abilities."
"Who?!" The Order asked.
"Alright. Now, don't get too excited." Rainbow said. "We just got to think if these experts are perfect for you guys."
Soon, all of the guardians, including Spike, all went into a huddle.
"We have no idea who is an expert on how to help the Order control their powers!" Rainbow whispered. "And Applejack, you had to say that?!"
"I had to tell them something just to calm them down." Applejack whispered back. "What did you want me to do, tell them that there is no one to help so they can just lock themselves away?"
"Um, Applejack?" Fluttershy said. "That sounded a little bit sad, don't you think?"
"I have to agree with Fluttershy. That sounded a little sad if you only think about it." Spike replied.
"Sorry. That came out of nowhere." Applejack said with the oops look on her face.
"But, who is going to help them with their newfound powers?" Rarity asked.
"I think I know a guy." Pinkie said.
"No, we are NOT asking Discord!" Rainbow scolded.
"Aw..."
"Maybe we can help them." Twilight said, getting everyone's eyes.
"We?" Applejack asked.
"Maybe if we help them, the Order might learn to use their new abilities for protecting their own kind from danger."
"But, what if we're not good enough?" Rarity asked.
"We'll go to Plan B." Twilight answered.
"What's Plan B?" Fluttershy asked.
"That's for me to know, and for all of you to find out."
"Let me get this straight." Rainbow said. "Each of us has to help the Order how to control their powers, and if that doesn't work, then we go to Plan B?"
"Yes."
With a nod and a smile, Rainbow said, "I love it."
"Well, it doesn't hurt to try." Rarity agreed.
"I'll give it a shot." Pinkie said.
"Sounds like a great plan." Spike said.
"Okay." Fluttershy said as she turned to Applejack. "Applejack?"
"Fine by me."
"Okay, all settled." Twilight nodded.
As the guardians broke the huddle, they turned back to the Order.
"Well?" Jesse asked.
"Well, we decided that we can help you humans with your new powers." Twilight said.
"Really?" Lukas asked.
"Oh yeah. We're totally going to help you guys with your new powers." Rainbow replied. "
"So, you're going to help us?" Petra asked.
"Oh, why wouldn't we?" Rarity said. "We are your best friends after all."
"I don't know. I feel like things are going to fall apart when you guys are helping us." Olivia said while rubbing her arm.
"Don't worry, Olivia. Nothing's gonna fall apart while we're helping you with your new abilities." Applejack assured. "Hopefully..."
"I think Applejack's got a point." Sunset agreed, getting the Order's attention. "Since they have their own way of how to control their powers, they can help you guys."
"Are you sure about that?" Petra asked with crossed arms.
"I think so, but it should work."
As the Order nodded at Sunset, they turned back to the guardians.
"When do we start?" Axel asked.
"You'll be starting tomorrow. But right now, let's enjoy the rest of the day." Twilight said.
"Um, okay..." Jesse said.
Suddenly, Olivia saw her creations squeaking and jumping. "Fluttershy, a little help here."
"I think they're hungry." Fluttershy said.
"Okay, how about I take you all to a diner that is open all day?"
Hearing this, the creatures squealed with joy.
"Okay, everyone. Into the basket." Fluttershy said while holding a basket, seeing the creatures jump in one by one.
"Applejack?" Olivia said.
"Count me in!" Applejack exclaimed as she ran out of the room.
"I'll take that as a yes. Let's go."Â Â Olivia said as she and Fluttershy walked out of the room.
"Everyone?" Sunset said.
"Olivia, wait!" Petra shouted as she ran out of the room. "Take me with you!"
"Eh. I could use something." Rainbow said as she walked out of the room.
"What about you, Rarity?" Sunset asked.
"You know what? I'm going to take a bath." Rarity answered as she walked out of the room.
Lukas sighed. "I'm going to-"
Before Lukas could finish his sentence, he suddenly disappeared, putting everyone in shock. As they heard a thud behind them, they turned around, seeing Lukas slowly sliding down a window.
"Skip...some...stones..." Lukas finished as he completely slid down the window.
"I'm going to my room." Twilight said as she started walking out of the room. "I have some books waiting for me."
As Axel saw Spike walking out of the room, he asks, "Where are you going, Spike."
"I heard there were humans girls with poodles at a park, and I, Spike the Brave and Glorious, would like to meet them."
"Um, do you mind if I come along?" Axel asked.
"I could use some company."
"Alright, I'll get the leash." Soon, Axel walked out of the room with Spike following. "Hey, Twilight! I'm going to take Spike for a walk!"
"Don't lose him!" Twilight shouted from her room.
"Well, looks like it's just you and me." Ivor said. "Now, would you like a cinnamon roll?"
"Where are they?" Jesse asked with crossed arms.
As Ivor raised an eyebrow, he looked down at his arms, seeing them empty as his eyes widen. He looked to his left, seeing Pinkie with the plate of cinnamon rolls. As Pinkie noticed his stare, she ran out of the room laughing while Ivor chased her.
"Get back here with those cinnamon rolls, you cotton candy-haired fool!"
"Never!"
"You know what? I'm taking a nap." Jesse said as he walked out of the room.
"Okay! I'll just hang here!" Sunset said as she held both her arms. "By myself with all of our treasures just to keep me company." Suddenly, she heard her stomach growl. "On second thought, I'm getting a muffin..."
Magic of Order and Harmony
After the conversation, Jesse walked into his room as he hopped onto his bed and took a deep breath.
"Okay, Jesse. When you wake up, don't panic when you see yourself floating in bed. Got it? Okay, you got this, man. You got this."
Soon, Jesse lied down as his eyes fluttered shut.
Jesse's dream...
It was nighttime, and Jesse was in the forest walking all by himself. He was mumbling about his new abilities and how he was going to learn how to control them. That was the only thing on his mind.
"Loser~" A voice said behind him as Jesse looked behind him.
"Hello?"
"Monster~"
Jesse turned around as he pulled out his sword. "Who's there? Show yourself!"
Suddenly, he saw ten large shadows with white eyes and sharp teeth surround him as he saw all of them laugh at him.
"No. No! Stop laughing at me!"
"Freak." One of the shadows said.
"Monster." Another shadow said.
"Weirdo." Another said.
"Loser!" Another shouted.
"No! I'm not a loser!" Jesse shouted with fear as he placed his hands on his head and squeezed his eyes closed. "Please, stop!" Suddenly, he heard silence again as he opened his eyes, finding that the shadows are gone. "Hello?"
"Looks like someone is having a bad dream..." A very familiar voice said behind him.
As Jesse looked behind himself, he saw a very familiar face standing with the sweetest smile on her face. "Princess Luna? How did you get in my head?"
"Dreamscaping is my special ability, Jesse." Luna explained. "I also sensed you and your friends' new abilities while I was asleep."
"Doesn't that sound a little bit creepy?" Jesse asked.
"True, but I wasn't the only one who sensed you and your friends' new abilities. Celestia sensed it, Discord sensed it, and surprisingly, Cadance sensed it. Including little Flurry Heart-"
"Whoa, whoa, wait. Who's Flurry Heart?"
"Did Twilight not tell you? She is Twilight's niece, and she is the daughter of Princess Cadance and Shining Armor. She was born two months ago before the guardians returned to Canterlot and before we met you and your friends."
"Ah. Flurry Heart."
"I heard that you are having trouble with your new powers. That's why I'm here in your mind."
"Are you an expert on how to help me control my new ability?"
"No, but I promise that I will help you with your new powers."
"What about my friends?" Jesse asked.
"Don't worry. I'll help them as well."
Jesse sighed. "Thank you. But, I'm just afraid that if I don't learn to control this power, I swear, I'm going to-"
"Do not fret, my emerald-eyed friend." Luna assured. "As long as I'm here, there is nothing to be afraid of."
Suddenly, the wind started blowing as Jesse saw everything moving, then saw Luna fading away. "What's going on?"
"It appears you are waking up." Luna said. "Also, you might want to blink once you have already awoken."
"What?" Jesse said, noticing that Luna was gone. "Princess Luna?"
Before Jesse's eyes, everything went black.
End of dream
"Princess Luna?" Jesse said as he woke up, seeing himself floating in his bed. "Really..." As he blinked, he held onto his bed as it fell back onto the floor, then he looked outside of his room. "What else is that ender-eyed egghead hiding from us?"
Olivia, Fluttershy, Applejack, Petra and Rainbow were at a diner having some breakfast, Fluttershy having some pancakes and a bowl of oatmeal, Petra and Rainbow having some eggs, and Applejack and Olivia having some french toast. (Sorry for making you hungry) The waitress was confused about why Fluttershy want some oatmeal along with some pancakes, but she didn't bother asking why. Meanwhile, Rainbow turned to the owner of the diner, who was glaring his neighbor, the owner of the bakery that is next door.
"What the deal with those two anyway?" Rainbow asked while pointing at the two owners.
"Albert and Marie have the most popular businesses in town." Petra explained. "They fight for customers all day. So, how's the food?"
"It's great." Applejack said. "Thanks for bringing us here. It's great that we're spending some time with two of our greatest friends."
As Fluttershy sliced a large piece of her pancakes, she opened the basket next to her, revealing a bunch of hungry creatures. "Here you go." She said as she gave the large piece to them, seeing them eat it.
"Fluttershy, do you really have to feed them at a time like this?" Olivia said. "You haven't even eaten anything."
"I know. I'm just sharing by pancakes with them. You know I have a heart for little creatures."
"Yeah, I know. But, you got to eat something. You haven't even touched your oatmeal yet."
"Maybe you have a point." Fluttershy said as she grabbed her spoon and scooped some oatmeal from her bowl.
"So, how's life in Equestria right now?" Petra wanted to know.
"Life in Equestria is awesome!" Rainbow exclaimed. "I mean, now that the Alliance is locked away for good all because of you guys, everyone in Equestria is considering you guys as legends while considering Sunset as a hero! Plus, we even got a chance to go back to the Crystal Empire to meet Twilight's niece!"
"Twilight had a niece? When?" Olivia asked.
"Two months ago." Fluttershy answered as she fed Olivia's creations with her pancakes. "Twilight didn't know that she was an aunt until Cadance and Shining Armor told her. Her name is Flurry Heart, and she's really cute."
"But, be careful. Her magic is very powerful." Rainbow whispered to Petra.
"Speaking of magic..." Olivia turned to her creations in Fluttershy's basket. "If I created them, does that mean I can control them?"
"Huh?" The tiny creatures said.
"I guess so." Fluttershy said while looking at the tiny creatures in her basket. "But, we might want to try it out later."
"Yeah. Maybe after breakfast."
Petra sighed as she got up from the table. "Okay, if I can summon weapons now, does that mean I can do this?" She suddenly made a blue transparent sword come out of her hand, which got attention from everyone in the diner. "Oh! And this?" Then, her sword turned into a spear. "And this?" Then, a hatchet. "And this?" Then, her hatchet turned into a bow. "Oh! What about this? And this? And this? And-"
"Petra, we get it! You can summon weapons!" Rainbow shouted as Petra stopped what she was doing.
"You also got lot of attention from everyone in this diner." Fluttershy reminded, seeing Petra turn to everyone.
As Petra deactivated her powers, she pointed to everyone and said, "You all saw nothing."
Hearing what Petra said, everyone went back to what they were doing.
As Fluttershy saw Petra sit back down, she turned to the window as she raised an eyebrow. "Um, why is Mr. Ivor chasing Pinkie around the town?"
Hearing Fluttershy's question, the rest turned to what Fluttershy was looking at, seeing Ivor chasing Pinkie, who was holding the plate of cinnamon rolls.
"Probably because of those cinnamon rolls." Olivia said.
"Eh. I think it's funny." Rainbow laughed.
"Yeah. So do I." Petra agreed.
"I think it's a little funny." Applejack replied.
Axel and Spike were walking at a nearby park that was not too far from the temple. Of course, Spike was dragging Axel while the rogue was trying to hold on to the leash.
"Dude! Can you slow down for a bit?" Axel said as he tried to hold on to the leash. "My feet are starting to kill me. I think we've walked far enough."
"Not now, Axel. I'm currently looking for those girls with poodles." Spike replied.
"You know, for a small dog, you're really strong."
Hearing what Axel said, Spike stopped and turned to him. "Thanks. They don't call me Spike, the Brave and Glorious for nothing."
"Nobody calls you that." Axel said with crossed arms.
"Of course they do. Even everyone at the Crystal Empire calls me brave and glorious."
"Really?"
"Yeah. Guess you don't know how it feels to be fully seen as a celebrity." Spike said with a smirk on his face.
"Hey! I know how it feels to be fully seen as a celebrity!" Axel said with narrowed eyebrows.
"Oh yeah?"
"Yeah."
"Well, I'll be the judge of that." As Spike turned to his right, he shouted, "Squirrel!"
Spike started to detach the leash from his collar as he ran off.
"Spike! Come back!" Axel shouted as he ran after the purple dog.
Meanwhile, a squirrel was walking back to his hole while he held nuts in his arms. As he heard footsteps, he turned around, seeing Spike running up to him as he squeaked with fear and ran all the way to his hole in a tree.
"Jeez! For an Equestrian Dog, he's really fast!" Axel said while he chased Spike.
Spike ran and ran as fast as he could just so he can get the squirrel, but as the squirrel climbed up the tree, Spike crashed his head onto the large tree. The purple dog rubbed his head, looking up at the tree as he saw the squirrel enter a hole.
As Axel walked up to Spike, he picked him up. "You okay, little guy?"
"Yeah. I just have a little headache. Sorry that you had to see that." Spike said while he rubbed his head.
"Eh. It's okay. Sometimes, dogs do stuff with no reason why."
"Thanks for telling me that, Axel. You literally blew my mind." Spike said sarcastically.
"That was sarcasm, right?" Axel asked.
"Yes."
Suddenly, the two started to hear giggling as they turned around, seeing a group of five girls with poodles giggling at them.
"Looks like we found the girls with poodles." Spike whispered.
"What should I say to them?" Axel whispered back.
"Just smile and wave. Be cool."
Axel took a deep breath as he smiled and waved to the girls, seeing them wave back. "I think I nailed it."
"Why, yes you did." Spike replied.
"You know, Spike? For a dog, you're a little like a lady's man. Or should I say lady's dog?" As Axel laughed, he saw a stoic expression on Spike face as he sighed. "I know. That didn't make any sense."
"How about we just go back to the temple for now?"
"Yeah. Maybe it's best if we head back."
At the temple, Pinkie was at the dining table, tied up with both her ankles handcuffed to the chair. After Pinkie ran and ran from Ivor with the plate of cinnamon rolls, Ivor finally got a chance to pin her down by distracting her with a magic trick that suddenly managed to catch her. Right now, Ivor was in the kitchen. He asked Pinkie what was her favorite type of breakfast, and she answered that she liked pancakes with butter and hot syrup.
"Hey, Mr. Ivor?" Pinkie said.
"Yes?" Ivor replied.
"About that magic trick, how did you manage to perform that magic trick without me even knowing?"
"I didn't. I just did it."
"Ah. So you really ARE a magician?"
"I'm no magician, but I love doing that to people that I have trouble chasing."
"Me, for example?"
"Yes. You, for example." Soon, Ivor came out of the kitchen holding a plate of three pancakes covered in butter and hot syrup.
"Oh, that looks delicious!" Pinkie exclaimed.
As Ivor started slicing, stabbed the piece of pancakes with a fork and fed it to Pinkie.
Pinkie suddenly saw a worried look on Ivor face as she swallowed. "Why the long face?"
"I'm just worried about them." Ivor replied.
"The Order?" Pinkie asked as she was fed another piece of pancakes.
"Yes. The Order."
Pinkie swallowed. "Don't worry, Mr. Ivor. It's not like their going to lock themselves away forever."
"Doesn't that sound a little, I don't know, sad?"
"Sorry. Applejack said it first." Pinkie said, getting another piece of pancake into her mouth. As she munched on her food, she swallowed. "Look. I know that you're worried, but there's nothing to worry about. They'll learn to control their powers. You just have to wait."
"I'm not sure. What if the magic is infecting the Order? What if something goes horribly wrong and they will literally lock themselves away and the whole world will forget about them?"
"What? No, no, no. They're not going to do that." Pinkie assured. "They'll learn how to control their new abilities eventually. Well, at least I think they will."
Ivor sighed, feeding Pinkie another piece of pancakes.
As Pinkie munched on her food, she swallowed and said, "Hey. Just do what I do when I feel sad."
"What?"
"I would show you, but..."
"Oh! Right." As Ivor got up from his chair, he started untying Pinkie as he uncuffed her ankles from the chair.
"Thanks." Pinkie said as she ran off the chair all the way to her room.
"Pinkie?"
Suddenly, everything went dark as a light shone out of nowhere and pointed at a pair of red curtain. Suddenly, Ivor saw Pinkie come out of the curtains wearing a pig snout and tail as she started singing.
First, you jiggle your tail!
Oink, oink, oink
Then, you wriggle your snout!
Oink, oink, oink
Then, you wiggle your rump!
Oink, oink, oink
Then, shout it out!
Oink, oink, oink
Suddenly, Jesse came in the room, suddenly finding Pinkie dressed as a pig as Ivor noticed.
"Um, Pinkie Pie?" Ivor called.
First, you jiggle your tail!
Oink, oink, oink
Then, you wriggle your snout!
Oink, oink, oink
Then, you wiggle your rump!
Oink, oink, oink
Then, shout it out!
Oink, oink, oink
Ivor then saw Jesse's eye twitch. "Pinkie?"
First, you jiggle your tail!
Oink, oink, oink
Then, you wriggle your snout!
Oink, oink, oink
Then, you wiggle your rump!
Oink, oink, oink
Then, shout it out!
Oink, oink, oink
Hearing Pinkie's song, Jesse felt rage bubbling inside of him as he turned, seeing a pink and blue boombox that's playing the melody of Pinkie's song.
First, you jiggle your tail!
Oink, oink, oink
Then, you wriggle your snout!
Oink, oink, oink
Then, you wiggle your rump!
Oink, oink, oink
Then, shout it out!
Oink, oink-
As Pinkie heard the music stop, she turned as she saw Jesse, whose eyebrows were narrowed, holding her boombox. "Oink?"
With a twitching eye and a smile, Jesse walked up to Pinkie and said, "May I?"
With widen eyes, Pinkie took off her pig snout and tail and gave them to Jesse, who dropped them and smashed them using Pinkie's boombox. Even Ivor was shocked of what Jesse did to Pinkie's pig snout and tail. After Jesse was done, he placed the boombox on the ground and walked away along with one of the cinnamon rolls with Pinkie and Ivor watching.
"Tried to warn you." Ivor said to Pinkie.
"Oh yeah. I forgot." Pinkie said with a finger on her chin. "The pig. What was his name again? Was it Rupert? Robert? Raymond? R-"
"Let's not talk about that." Ivor said with his hand on Pinkie's mouth.
Twilight was walking in the hallway, reading one of the books that she got from the library. "And then, the young sorceress and her friends walked into the forest to start their journey to the center of the world." She read. "This wasn't her first time in the forest, but it was her first time going on a journey to save her father from those witches that once put the world into darkness a long time ago. But fortunately, she was determined to save her father along with her new friends. Suddenly, she felt a hand on her shoulder as she turned to the young musician, who told her-"
She stopped herself as she looked at the passage in the book. "Wow. Whoever wrote this, she must be a very talented writer with a dream. I would like to meet her if I had the chance. Okay, back to the passage."
As Twilight was about to continue with the passage, she heard a thud from far away as she heard a scream. Twilight ran to the source of the scream, suddenly reaching a door that was labeled 'Bathroom'. Knocking on the door, she said, "Hello? Whoever is in there, are you okay?"
Suddenly, a shaken up Lukas walked out of the bathroom as he leaned on the wall with his arms wrapped around him.
"What happened in there?" Twilight wanted to know.
"I was skipping stones at the lake," Lukas explained. "But, I suddenly teleported into the bathroom and saw Rarity in a bathrobe with her hair in a towel and her face was covered in a facial mask! It was horrible, man!"
Suddenly, Twilight and Lukas saw Rarity stomp out of the bathroom wearing a purple bathrobe and slippers with a warm towel on her head and her face covered in a green facial mask.
"Someday soon, I will teach you a large lesson you will never want to forget, mister!" Rarity yelled at Lukas with a cold glare as she stomped away.
"Lukas, what do you have to say for yourself?" Twilight asked with a glare.
"I'm sorry." Lukas replied.
"I forgive you for now."
Seeing Twilight walk away, Lukas sighed as he saw Jesse walk past him with a glare on his face. "Jesse? Why the long face?"
"You don't want to know." Jesse growled as he walked past Twilight. "And, Twilight. I would like to have a word with you alone..."
"Um, okay..." Twilight said as she followed Jesse to his room.
As Lukas sat down in the floor, he sighed as he suddenly disappeared.
Meanwhile, Pinkie was at the dining table again eating the rest of her pancakes. As she was about the get another piece, she saw Lukas appear and fall onto the table with his face in her pancakes. Lukas lifted his head as the pancake slid off his face and onto the plate.
"Hey! I was eating that!" Pinkie shouted with a glare.
"Sorry..." Lukas suddenly started smacking his lips. "Wow. Not bad."
Magic of Order and Harmony
"Um, what's this all about?" Twilight asked as she was pushed into Jesse's room.
"I saw Princess Luna in my dreams and she told me that she and others sensed me and my friends' new powers." Jesse said. "She said she, Celestia, Discord, and Cadance sensed it. She also talked to me about someone named Flurry Heart."
"Oh..."
"Alright, that's enough explaining. Who is Flurry Heart and why didn't you tell us you had a niece?"
Twilight sighed. "Okay. She is the young princess of the Crystal Empire, born two months ago before we even met you and your friends."
"And, why didn't you tell us?" Jesse asked.
"I was going to tell you and your friends, but I wasn't sure how to explain it." Twilight answered.
"Do your friends know about this?"
"Uh huh."
"What about Sunset? Does she know?"
"Of course. I would know because she told me she's been there for Flurry Heart's Crystalling."
"Her what?"
"Her Crystalling. Sunset told me that it was the most amazing experience she had ever seen, but in the middle of it, it was a little bit of a disaster. She told me that Flurry Heart accidentally broke the Crystal Empire's precious relic with her loud cry, so a snow storm, which Celestia and Luna tried to fight off, came to bury the Empire into mountains of ice and snow. But, Sunburst managed to fix the relic by using the power of the Crystalling and a relic reconstitution spell."
"And, how does this Crystalling work?" Jesse wanted to know.
"When a child is born in the Crystal Empire, the mother and father chooses two honor guards, picks a special type of crystal called a Purity Crystal, and chooses a Crystaller. When the ceremony is set, the Crystaller collects the love from the citizens using the Purity Crystal and makes the Crystal Heart's power stronger than before-" As Twilight looked at Jesse, she saw a confused look on his face as she rolled her eyes. "It's a ceremony for Crystal Empire newborns that culminates in making the Crystal Heart stronger."
"Oh. I get it."
"If you were wondering what the Crystal Heart is, it's the Empire's most power relic that protects the Empire from the frozen storm, and without it, well, you get the point."
"Do you have a picture of this Flurry Heart?"
"Uh huh." Twilight reached for her pockets, pulling out a folded picture as she unfolded it and gave it to Jesse.
What Jesse saw in the picture was Twilight at the Crystal Empire with Shining Armor and Cadance, holding a baby girl with purple and blue hair and crystal blue eyes wrapped in a bright blue blanket. "She looks cute."
"I know, right?" Twilight agreed, taking the picture from Jesse.
"When are you going to tell my friends?" Jesse asked.
"Maybe when the time is right, I guess." Twilight replied. "I haven't thought of telling your friends. How about we keep this between us until the time is right."
"Meh. Who knows. Sunset probably told them already since she's been there."
"True, but what if she was planning to tell your friends?"
"I'm not sure about that, but-" Suddenly, Jesse felt a sharp pain in his head as he placed his hands on his head and fell to knees, letting out a scream of pain.
"Are you okay?" Twilight asked with concern, seeing Jesse's eyes glow as everything in his room started to float.
As Sunset ran into the room with a blueberry muffin in her hand, she says, "What going on?!"
"I don't know! One moment, we were having a conversation, and this happened!"
Suddenly, everything fell to the ground as Jesse lied down, trying to catch his breath. The light from his eyes faded as he looked at Twilight and Sunset.
"Are you okay?" Sunset asked.
"Someone...is coming...to get us..." Jesse replied, suddenly falling into unconsciousness.
Hearing what Jesse said, Sunset raised an eyebrow.
"What did he say?" Twilight asked.
"Jesse said that someone is coming for us..."
"Who?"
"I don't know. But, I heard something in his head. A voice of some sort. A whisper."
"What did that voice say?" Twilight asked.
Turning to Twilight, Sunset said, "Saving Equestria was only the beginning."
Suddenly, the two heard the door open as they turned, only seeing the others at the door.
"We heard screaming! What's going on?" Rainbow said.
"Jesse started having a headache, and everything in his room started floating." Twilight replied. "He's currently unconscious right now."
"I don't think that was a headache." Sunset said. "But, something else."
"What do you think it was?" Olivia asked.
"His eyes, they were glowing, and he had his hands on his head." Sunset placed a finger on her chin. "I can only speculate that he had a vision."
"A vision?" Ivor said. "What did he see?"
"I don't know." Sunset looked at the unconscious Jesse. "But if I'm right, then it's something big. Something terrible."
"What are we going to do with him?" Applejack asked after walking up to Jesse.
"Bring him to the living room. I need to talk to the Order for a while."
The guardians walked up to Jesse as Applejack picked him up and carried him on her back with the other guardians following her out of the room. After that, Sunset turned to the Order.
"Okay. I would like to tell you guys something." Sunset said. "Right now, I'm going to be in charge until Jesse wakes up from his unconsciousness. If his vision is telling us that someone is going to attack us and the whole town, then you guys are going to learn how to control your new powers if you were to protect your own kind. But if anything happens, we need to stick together. Got it?" Getting nods from the Order, Sunset nodded back. "Okay. Any questions?"
"I have one question." Axel said as he held up Twilight's picture and pointing to one of the people in the image. "Who's the little one in this picture?"
Hearing Axel question, Sunset placed a hand on her face and sighed. "We're going to have a long day."
Magic of Order and Harmony
Jesse's dream...
Everything was dark, and Jesse, who was glowing, was on the ground with his eyes closed. With a gasp, Jesse woke up with a jolt and looked at his surroundings, then looked at the glow on his body. "Whoa. How am I doing this?" Looking back at his surroundings, he stood up and walked around. "Hello? Anyone here? Anyone at all?"
"Are you okay?" A voice behind him said as Jesse turned around.
"Hello?"
"You look like you've seen something you didn't want to see."
"Wait. Are you talking to me?" Jesse asked.
"Why, yes I am."
"Who are you?"
"Why don't you turn around?"
As Jesse turned around, he saw a girl that looked a lot like Sunset, but she had a red mask-like marking on her face and golden headband with a glowing jewel on her head. She was wearing a pink dress with a white skirt below, white gloves, the setting sun on her arms, and golden boots with heels that glowed like the sun, and she had glowing wings on her back. "Sunset? Is that you?"
"I believe you're talking about my counterpart. My name is Daydream Shimmer. I'm here because I saw what you saw."
"What do you mean?" Jesse wanted to know.
"I saw your vision, Jesse. I know what's going to happen next."
"Wait, you--hang on. How did you know my name?"
"I overheard it while you had your vision. Right now, you're unconscious."
"I'm unconscious?"
"Uh huh."
"Well, can you please tell me what that vision I had meant?" Jesse asked.
"Okay, all I got was Midnight Sparkle attacking your town and searching for you and your friends." Daydream Shimmer said. "And, I think I heard someone say something."
"Who said what?"
"I don't know who, but I do know what they said."
"What did they say?" Jesse asked.
"Saving Equestria was only the beginning."
"Didn't you say something about Midnight Sparkle?"
"Yes. I think I saw her crystal prison get picked up on a beach by siblings, who are planning to show it to someone."
"And?"
"I think I saw one of those people drop the crystal and the crystal shattered into pieces, accidentally setting Midnight Sparkle free. Then, I saw her at your town searching for you while the citizens were running for their lives."
"WHAT?!"
"I think I told you enough." Daydream Shimmer lit her hand with magic. "I need to wake you up now."
"Daydream, wait!" Jesse shouted as Daydream shot magic at him.
End of dream
Jesse woke up with a jolt, finding himself in the living room with Spike on his lap.
"So, how was unconsciousness?" Spike asked.
"What time is it?" Jesse asked, seeing Spike looked at the clock.
"It's 2:41 pm." Spike replied. "You've been out for seven hours. So, how are you feeling?"
"A little shaken up, but I'll be fine."
Suddenly, Jesse and Spike saw Pinkie peeking from the hallway.
"He's awake now!" Pinkie shouted as everyone else entered the room.
"You okay, Jesse?" Axel asked.
"Yeah. I'm just a little shaken up." Jesse replied.
"Jesse, what happened when you and Twilight were talking about Flurry Heart?" Sunset asked after she walked up to Jesse.
"I don't know. I-I think I had a vision of some sort..."
"Want to talk about it?" Fluttershy asked while holding the basket of Olivia's creatures, who were eating cookies.
"I saw these siblings walking on a beach, and they picked up this pink crystal that was washed up on shore." Jesse explained. "The next day, they brought the crystal to this guy named Lester, and I think I saw him drop the crystal on accident. When that happened, I saw this magical lady fly out of the crystal. Then, she was at our town looking for us while people were running for their lives."
"Can you describe this lady?" Petra asked.
"Well, she had purple, pink and black hair, blue eyes with pink irises, dark wings, a purple and pink dress, with dark pink boots, a black crown with a blue jewel that glowed with black gloves, and she had this wispy spectacle thing on her face."
Twilight placed a finger on her chin.
"That lady you described, who could that be?" Olivia asked.
"I don't know, but who ever that lady was, she's-" Before Jesse could finish his sentence, Twilight spoke.
"Dark wings, black crown with a glowing jewel, wispy spectacle thing," Twilight's eyes widen as she turned to the others. "Guys. I think's the lady in Jesse's vision was Midnight Sparkle."
"Midnight Sparkle?!" Pinkie repeated as Axel fainted.
"What do you mean by this, Twilight?" Ivor asked.
"Midnight Sparkle's prison must have washed up on the shores of the Human Island, and those siblings might have brought her to that man. We need to stop him from dropping the crystal." Twilight insisted.
"But, how are we going to face her with everything we got?" Rainbow asked. "I know we fought the Alliance so many times, but I don't think we can protect these humans alone."
"Besides, the Order hasn't learn to control their powers yet." Applejack added.
"Then, we'll teach them as a team." Twilight said.
"Just us?" Rarity asked.
"Not just us."
The guardians turned to Sunset, who raised an eyebrow as Twilight walked up to her.
"Sunset, since we're going to teach the Order how to control their powers, we're asking if you can help us as well."
"Um..." Sunset said.
"I got this." Rainbow said as she fell to her knees and clasped her hands together. "Please, help us with helping the Order with their new powers! Please!"
"Um..."
"My turn!" Pinkie exclaimed as she held on to Sunset's legs. "Can you help us? Please? Please? Please? Please? Please? Please? Please? Please? Please? Please?"
"Um..."
"I got this." Fluttershy said as she went to her knees and held her arms. "Please, Sunset. You're the only person who-" She stopped, turning to Rarity. "Rarity, a little help here?"
Hearing Fluttershy's request, Rarity lifted her hand and made a small cloud above her which made snow fall.
"Thank you." Fluttershy turned back to Sunset. "Please, Sunset. You're the only person who can help these poor humans with their new abilities. You've helped them in so many things. Save many people in a city in the sky, defeat a pumpkin-headed cat lover, shut down an evil computer,"
"I don't want to be reminded of that!" Lukas said.
"And you've taken down two old builders that were complete jerks."
"True." Petra said.
"But, please. You need to help us help the Order with their new powers." After Fluttershy finished her sentence, she fainted.
"Okay." Sunset said as Fluttershy sat up.
"Thank you."
"Well, that was easy." Applejack said.
"So, when are we going to start using our new powers?" Lukas asked.
"I know I said tomorrow, but if Midnight Sparkle is coming for us, we're going to start now." Twilight answered.
"Now?!" Olivia exclaimed. "But, how are we going to control these new powers if you and your friends are the only Equestrians here?"
"I'm an Equestrian too." Sunset responded.
"If an Equestrian wants to control his or her powers, they will have to follow these four steps." Twilight explained. "First, they study. Next, they observe. Then, they practice. And finally, they put themselves to the test if they're ready."
"Is it going to work?" Jesse asked as he got up from the couch.
"It should since it always works on us." Applejack replied. "Maybe it'll work on you guys."
"I hope it does." Axel said as he crossed his arms.
"What about the siblings?" Rarity asked.
"I'm going to have to talk to them." Sunset said.
"But, we don't even know where they are." Rainbow reminded.
"Then, I'll find them."
"How?" Petra asked.
"I have my special ability." Sunset explained. "With this ability of mine, I can go to places and talk to people without using physical form."
"How does that even work?" Ivor asked.
"Like this."
As Sunset sat on the couch, she fell asleep as her body glowed a yellow aura. Seeing this, the Order raised an eyebrow.
"Er...I don't get it." Axel said.
"I'm right here, you know..." A voice said as everyone turned around, seeing a red transparent Sunset behind them.
"Wow!" Jesse exclaimed.
"I know. Right?" Sunset replied. "Pretty cool. Now, please excuse me, I have some siblings to talk to."
Suddenly, Sunset teleported away.
Meanwhile, the siblings were at a lab with a scientist, who was examining the crystal.
"Extraordinary." The scientist said as he looked at the crystal. "Where did you find this?"
"Stuart and I found it washed up on shore while we were walking on the beach last night." The girl said. "We didn't know what it is or where it came from, and we were wondering if you know what it is."
"I'm not sure what it is, but I think it's some kind of crystal from another island."
"Whatever it is, we should keep it from harm's way." The boy known as Stuart said. "We have no idea what this thing is capable of."
"I do..." A voice said behind them.
As the trio turned around, they saw Sunset's transparent self standing behind them.
"Who are you?" The girl asked.
"My name is Sunset Shimmer. I need you to give me that crystal."
"Why should we?" The scientist asked.
"You shouldn't be near that thing. Inside that gem is the most powerful being that has a thirst for power and is very dangerous, even to humans."
"Did you just call us humans?" Stuart replied.
"You all have to listen to me. I'm trying to protect you."
The scientist took the crystal from the table. "Okay. If you believe that this crystal has a powerful being inside, I'll be the judge of that."
"NO!"
Suddenly, the scientist threw the crystal to the ground as it shattered. Then, the shards of the crystal started glowing as a large white ball of light flew out of the shards. The light started blinking from black to white, then created a bright light that blinded everyone in the lab. As the blinding light faded, everyone saw a women with pink, purple and black hair with pink eyes with the sclera bright blue and dark purple wings with a blue line that followed the wings' position. She was wearing a pink and purple knee-high dress, black gloves, dark pink boots, a black crown with a blue gem that was glowing, and a blue wispy mask that surrounded her eyes. Shocked, Stuart held his sister in order to protect her.
Sunset's eyes widen while looking at the being. "Midnight Sparkle..."
The being known as Midnight Sparkle laughed maniacally. "Finally! After fifty years of imprisonment, I am free!" Lighting up the gem on her crown, Midnight Sparkle blasted the ceiling, leaving a big hole as she turned to the scientist. "Do you know what my location is?"
"Um, Yentro." The scientist replied, seeing Midnight Sparkle fly out of the lab as he fainted.
As Sunset shook her head, she faded away.
Back at the temple, Sunset woke up with a jolt and turned to the others. "Midnight Sparkle if free!"
Hearing what Sunset said, everyone gasped as Rarity fainted, which made Petra catch her.
"What happened?" Spike wanted to know.
"I tried to warn them about Midnight Sparkle, but that scientist didn't listen to me." Sunset said. "Looks like you guys are going to have to learn to control your powers right now."
"I don't know." Jesse replied. "What if something bad happens? What if I accidentally rip everything in my way apart?"
"What if I accidentally skewer someone?" Petra said.
"What if I accidentally blow something up?" Axel said.
"What if I can't control my creations?" Olivia said.
"What if I teleport to somewhere so far away, I'll never be found?" Lukas said.
"That's not going to happen." Sunset replied. "We won't let it."
As Jesse turned to the other members of the Order, he sighed and turned back to Sunset. "Okay..."
Magic of Order and Harmony
Chapter 8: Thorax's Story
Jesse couldn't sleep. The only this on his mind is his new abilities and he and his friends are going to have to try again tomorrow. Right now, he was having doubts. So many questions swirled around his head. What if he will make everything around him float again? What if he will actually rip apart everything in his way? He didn't want any of that to happen. Not ever.
With a sigh, Jesse sat up as he got out of bed and walked out of his room. As he walked in the hallway, he walked up to Axel's room and saw Maud lying on the ground with Boulder in a ring box with a small piece of cloth on it. Jesse was surprised that Maud can lie on the ground with no discomfort. But, he shrugged and walked away, suddenly walking to Olivia's room. He turned to the little creatures in the basket that were sleeping, then turned and saw Zephyr sleeping on a mattress with Fluttershy. Then, he walked away as he walked into the living room, suddenly finding Sunset, Petra and Lukas in the kitchen.
"Hey. You guys are up." Jesse said as he got their attention. "Any reasons why?"
"I came out here just to stay out of my room." Lukas explained. "Jeez. I didn't even know Derpy talked in her sleep. Something about muffins. And before we went to sleep, she also told me this story where all of the characters were muffins. It was really weird, that story made me want muffins."
"I only came out here just to get away from Gabby's loud snores." Petra said.
"I can't sleep." Sunset said.
"Me neither. I have a lot on my mind that is keeping me from sleeping." Jesse said as he walked into the kitchen.
"Powers again?" Petra asked, seeing Jesse nod. "I see."
"So many things happened in our lives of being the Order of the Stone, and this is starting to become one of them. But this time, this is all about magic and these new abilities." Jesse sighed as he opened a chest and pulled out a slice of bread. "I'm starting to have doubts, guys."
"Hey. I know today has been a little bit crazy for us, but maybe tomorrow will be a better day." Sunset assured.
"Hopefully." Lukas added.
"I just don't want all of things I thought I would do be real because of my new ability. I just wish there was another way." Jesse said.
"Maybe there might be another way with Starlight and the other individuals around." Petra replied.
"Yeah, but I'm just afraid that if we don't learn to control our powers, we'll probably-"
"Let everyone down?" Sunset asked.
"Yeah."
As Jesse closed the chest, he turned to his right and saw Maud out of bed as he screamed with surprise.
"Boulder was hungry." Maud said while she held up her rock as she reached from the cabinets and took out a box of crackers.
As Jesse backed up to the others, they saw Maud open the box of crackers and pour the crackers onto Boulder. Then, they watched Maud walk away, leaving a trail of crackers on the floor.
"I still don't understand how Maud is related to Pinkie." Petra whispered.
"Me neither." Lukas replied.
Suddenly, the four heard the sound of crunching from far away.
"Does anyone here that?" Jesse asked.
"I think it's coming from outside." Sunset said as she walked out of the kitchen with the others following.
As the four walked up to the door to the outside, they walked out as they saw a trail of crumbs leading to a ladder. They climbed up the ladder one at a time, but as they reached the roof, they saw another trail of crumbs, then saw where the crumbs were leading them to. It was Thorax, and he was holding a white porcelain cookie jar and eating all of the cookies one by one.
"Um, Thorax?" Jesse said as he got Thorax's attention.
As Thorax swallowed the last cookie he ate, he said, "Um, good evening."
"What are you doing here, and is that the cookie jar?" Lukas asked while pointing to the cookie jar in Thorax's grasp.
"Oh! I'm sorry. I got a bit hungry, so I found this." Thorax explained. "I didn't know what was in it, until I opened it and it showed cookies."
"You are forgiven, but what are you doing out here?" Petra asked.
"I'm just watching over the whole town from here. Just in case if I see Midnight Sparkle from far away." As Thorax placed his hand in the cookie jar, he felt nothing as he turned it upside down and shook it, seeing a few crumbs fall out. "Sorry I ate your cookies."
"Eh. It's okay." Jesse said in response.
"Hey, Thorax." Petra said, getting the Changeling's attention. "I'm just curious. Why are you being so nice to us? How did you end up with them?"
"Why am I being so nice? Well, it went like this." Thorax started. "When I first split my egg in the Nursery Hive, where all of the Changelings were born, all I saw was pure hatred and anger. As I grew, I've been seeing what those other Changelings and all of the other members were doing to each other. Beating each other up, stealing from each other. I was so scared, I kept my distance from them. I also reported this to the leaders of the Alliance, but they said that it's what the Alliance does to each other all the time. I didn't want to be like any of the others, so I ran away."
"How did you manage to leave the Alliance though you guys were stuck underground?" Lukas asked.
"I saw a small crack in the barrier that was keeping us underground. And if you were wondering, let's just say that I squeezed my way out."
"Whoa." Jesse managed to say.
"As I was saying, I've been looking around for a new home ever since I left." Thorax continued. "That was when I found the Crystal Empire. I didn't want anyone there to see the real me, so I disguised myself as an individual and changed my name. Crystalhoof, a young traveler telling stories of many Equestrian legends. One of them I love to tell to other Crystal Empire citizens is the Great War between the Alliance and Equestria. Also, I've been studying Equestrian Magic just to tell them by playing a flute that tells stories."
"Hmm. That sounds like a lot of fun." Petra said.
"But, that didn't last long. One day when I was taking a walk, I found the abandoned castle of the Alliance and I decided to check it out. When I looked into one of the windows, I saw Sunset Shimmer standing there in the throne room. I snuck into the castle just to take a closer look, then I saw Starlight Glimmer tied up. I had no choice but to blow my cover just so I can save Starlight and stop Sunset. But I failed to do so. That was when I saw the Guardians of Equestria come. I saw the whole fight myself, but I don't think the guardians noticed me that day. But when I saw the guardians carry Sunset away from the castle, the leaders came and found me. I was so scared, I readied myself for execution. But instead, they tied me to a tree and left me to die in the Everfree."
"Thorax..." Sunset said while rubbing her arm.
"Hey. Just be glad that you're alive." Petra said. "But, those three jerks left you in the Everfree?! How could they do that to you?!"
"Yeah. You could've been dead if they did such a thing to you." Lukas agreed.
"I know." Thorax said. "But, can I please continue my story?"
"Go ahead." Jesse said.
"Thank you. While I was in the Everfree, was getting so hungry. I waited and waited for something or someone to come by and destroy me, but nothing or nobody came. One day, Princess Cadance and Shining Armor found me. I thought they were going to kill me when I first met them, but instead, they set me free and let me stay at the Empire. Of course, they knew that I was Crystalhoof, but they didn't mind me staying with them. But, I had a lot of fitting in to do since I wasn't Crystalhoof."
"Table manners?" Jesse said.
"Making friends?" Petra said.
"Trying not to shape-shift?" Lukas said.
"Yeah. All of that." Thorax said. "But on the other hand, I felt more at home. The citizens there were so nice to me, even if I wasn't Crystalhoof. Even Sunburst taught me how to fight like an Equestrian. When Cadance and Shining Armor took me to Canterlot just so I can meet the guardians in person, I told them my story. Even the part when I ran away from the Alliance and disguised myself in the Crystal Empire. But Spike told me that I didn't have to hide myself, even if I was part of an alliance of evil and hatred."
What Thorax said made Sunset crack a smile.
"One day, my life completely changed when I gained enough love to evolve. That day made me feel like I'm actually a real Equestrian. I gained a lot of respect from everyone."
"Is that why you look different from the other Changelings?" Jesse asked.
"Well, yeah. Also, hanging out with the guardians made me more at home. Baking with Pinkie Pie, reading with Twilight, playing fetch with Spike, those were the good days, and I remember them lie it was yesterday. But all that happiness didn't last for me. One day when I was making my way to Canterlot Castle, I saw the Alliance in the sky. I was so shocked, I thought they found that small crack in the barrier. I ran all the way to the castle, and when I reached the throne room, I saw the whole fight. I didn't want any of the leaders to see me, so I hid in the shadows. Then, I saw what they did afterwards. I saw them take Princess Luna away with my own eyes. I was so ashamed. I knew they saw that crack in the barrier, and they broke it. I was so speechless. I hid in the Empire's castle for a while. Two years later, I was introduced to Flurry Heart."
"You don't have to remind them of the Crystalling, Thorax." Sunset said. "Twilight and I already told them."
"While I was in a restaurant having some oatmeal, that was when I saw the guardians outside with Discord, Sunset and Sunburst. But, I saw a group of five humans in shining armor walking along with them. I decided to spy on them, and the more I spied on them, the more curious I got. Soon, I heard that a group of humans helped the guardians get rid of the Alliance for good and for the sake of Equestria. When I went to Canterlot, Princess Celestia told me that those humans who saved Equestria were the Order of the Stone, a group of humans who saved their kind from a dangerous creature called a Wither Storm. And Sunset was a part of them now, which explains why she wasn't in Canterlot. But that didn't matter to me now. This made me want to meet the Order of the Stone, but I didn't know what they'll think since I was a Changeling."
"Until what?" Lukas asked.
"Until I finally got a chance to meet you guys. I was expecting that you would be scared, but I didn't know that you guys would like me afterwards."
"Come on, Thorax. You're a really great person. Or should I say really great Changeling?" Petra said with a finger on her chin.
"Besides, you have a great personality." Jesse added. "You have one thing that those other Changelings don't have. You have a heart of gold."
"Oh. Thanks. Whatever that means." Thorax said. "I don't understand idioms."
"Thorax, it means you have kindness and good inside of you." Sunset explained.
"Oh! Right. Thanks guys. You guys have hearts of gold too."
"Thanks." Jesse said in response.
Magic of Order and Harmony
It was a disaster for the Order. Right now, they were learning on how to control their powers, but no matter how hard they tried, it was very frustrating for them. They did follow the two of the four steps, but they couldn't get past Step Three, which means they have to practice their new powers. Jesse made everything around him float, including the people around him, Petra was summoning too many weapons, Axel couldn't handle the gunpowder pouches he and Pinkie made, so they kept exploding in front of him, Olivia tried to tell her creations what to do, but they wouldn't listen, and Lukas' teleportation was too hard to control for him, so Fluttershy had to pin him down.
Right now, it was night, and the guardians and Sunset were at the dining room discussing their plan on how to help the Order.
"Okay. I think we're kind of giving them a hard time." Rainbow said as she took a sip of water.
"I'm so worried about them." Fluttershy said. "I don't want them to lock themselves away from the world."
"Fluttershy, that's not going to happen." Applejack said.
"How would you know? You're the one who said it first." Pinkie reminded as she took a bite of her cookie.
"I think Pinkie's got a point. You did say that they were going to lock themselves away." Spike agreed.
"It slipped out of my mouth, alright?" Applejack said, taking a bite of her apple fritter.
"I'm just as worried as Fluttershy." Twilight said. "The Order of the Stone is one of the most greatest heroes well known to humanity, and if we don't help them, they'll probably lock themselves away forever."
"I don't want that. Nobody does." Rarity replied. "It just doesn't feel right. It's so...unsettling."
"Oh. If only there was another way to help them." Fluttershy said.
Meanwhile, Sunset got up from the table and walked away as the guardians noticed.
"Where are you going, Sunset?" Rainbow asked.
"I'm just going to check on Jesse." Sunset answered. "He's been outside for a long time."
Seeing Sunset walk out of the room, Twilight sighed.
Outside of the temple, Jesse was sitting on the ground staring at the stars in the sky. As he turned to the moon, he said, "Luna, why do I feel so messed up right now? I feel I'm going to explode if I don't do something with this new ability of mine. What'll I do?"
"Hey." A voice said as Jesse turned and saw Sunset.
"Hey..."
Walking up to Jesse, she sat next to him. "You've been out here for a long time. Is something bothering you?"
"I'm a little messed up, that's all."
"Is it your new powers?" Sunset asked.
"Yeah. That."
"Hey. I'm just as worried as you are. The guardians are currently thinking of another way to help you and the others with your new abilities. I'm not sure what is going to be the best way, but I'm sure that you'll learn to control them eventually."
"Yeah. If only there was another way to help us..." Jesse replied.
"I know. But the question is, how?" Sunset placed a finger on her chin.
"Maybe we can help." A voice said as Jesse and Sunset turned to the forest.
As Sunset squinted her eyes, she saw a very familiar face walk out of the dark with a small grin. Starlight Glimmer.
"Starlight? Is that you?" Sunset said as she got up.
"It's great to see you again, Sunset." Starlight said. "You are not going to believe how much the others and I miss you."
"It's great to see you too. But, why are you here?"
"Princess Celestia had a vision." Starlight explained. "She saw that Midnight Sparkle has returned and she's right here somewhere on the Human Island. She sent me and other individuals here to help the Order with their new powers."
"So, you heard as well?" Jesse asked as he got up.
"Actually, everyone in Equestria heard." Starlight replied. "Including Zecora."
Suddenly, the rest of the Order walked outside as they turned and saw Starlight.
"Starlight?" Petra said as she got Starlight's attention.
"Hey, guys." Starlight said.
"What are you doing here? You heard as well, huh?" Olivia said.
"Yeah. Everyone in Equestria heard."
"Something is different with you, Starlight." Axel said. "Did you do something with your hair?"
"Oh! Yeah! I did it myself. Like it?"
"I think it's great." Lukas said.
"Eh. I liked the old hairstyle better." Petra replied.
"What are you doing here?" Olivia asked.
"We're here to help you guys with your new abilities." Starlight answered.
"I'm sorry. We?" Axel said.
As the Order turned to the forest, they saw five other Equestrians walk out of the dark. Two of them were familiar while three of them weren't.
"Maud?" Axel said.
"Derpy?" Lukas said.
As the guardians came out of the temple, they saw what was going on.
"Zephyr?" Fluttershy said to the guy with blonde hair and purple eyes wearing a white shirt, black pants and shoes and a bright green bow tie. "What are you doing here?"
"Just wanted to help these poor humans with their new powers, and see my wonderful big sister." The guy said, seeing Fluttershy smile.
"The Order of the Stone! I can't believe it's actually you!" A girl with gray hair tied to a short ponytail and sky blue eyes wearing a gray hoodie, blue jeans and light gray boots exclaimed as she grabbed Petra and hugged her tightly.
"She's crushing me! She's crushing me!" Petra shouted with pain.
"Hey there." A guy with green hair and eyes wearing an orange jacket with a red shirt under, brown shorts and black boots said as he walked up to Jesse. "You're the famous leader of the Order of the Stone, right?"
Jesse nodded.
"Great. Heard a lot about you."
"Is that all?" Olivia asked as Starlight turned back to the forest, seeing a pair of scared eyes in the dark.
"Aw, come on. They're not that bad once you get to know them." Starlight assured, seeing the eyes back up. "Come on. Don't be shy."
The being in the dark sighed as he walked out of the dark, revealing a guy with blue hair and eyes wearing a blue hoodie and blue jeans along with a blue headband and blue sneakers who was shaking.
"Um, hi." Petra said as Spike walked up to him and sniffed him.
"Ah. I see what you done there, Crystalhoof." Spike said. "Or should I say Thorax?"
"Thorax?" Jesse asked.
Suddenly, the being started glowing a blue light, shifting into something that the Order saw two months ago. A Changeling. Seeing the Changeling's appearance, Axel screamed as he hid behind Pinkie.
With a sigh, Sunset stepped up to the six Equestrians. "Axel, you know Maud Pie, and Lukas, you know Derpy?"
"Let's just say that she helped me look for Rainbow two months ago." Lukas explained.
"Guys. This is Zephyr Breeze, Fluttershy's younger brother, Timber Spruce, Gabriella, but you can call her Gabby, and Thorax, a reformed Changeling. He's on our side."
"Hello there." The Changeling known as Thorax said as he walked up to the Order. "I heard so much about you guys."
"If Sunset says you're one of the good guys, we believe her." Petra said. "But, maybe stay right there for now, please."
As for Jesse, looking at Thorax made him curious. Changelings usually have dark skin, black hair, fangs and green bug eyes. But, Thorax had pale skin, black hair with a hint of green on one lock that was covering half of his left eye, and regular green eyes, but he kept the fangs. Jesse wondered why Thorax looked more different than the Changelings he seen in Equestria.
"We should probably get inside. It's getting cold out here." Twilight said, getting nods from the others as they all went inside of the temple.
The Order was now at the table, having dinner and a conversation with Maud, Derpy, Zephyr, Timber, Gabby and Thorax.
"Psst. Jesse." Petra whispered. "I know Thorax is on our side, but sometimes, he's a little bit disturbing to me. Well, it's not the way he eats and all, but he's kind of creeping me out."
"Petra, I understand your concern, but Spike told me that Thorax isn't like any of the other Changelings." Jesse whispered back. "If he does anything funny, you can do whatever you want with him. You can be as creative at you want."
"Um, I'm right here, you know." Thorax replied.
"Do Changelings have a strong sense of hearing?" Petra asked.
With a sigh, Jesse turned to the six Equestrians. "So, Maud, Derpy, Zephyr, Timber, Gabby, Thorax, what brings you to our home?"
"We only came here to help you and your friends with your new abilities." Maud explained as she turned to Petra. "And Petra, how was mining in that dark cave of yours?"
"How did you know?" Petra said, seeing Maud take her arm.
"It's written all over your hand. It's a cave rock."
"Wow. She's good." Lukas whispered to Sunset, seeing Maud let go of Petra's arm.
"Well, what do you expect?" Sunset replied. "She and Pinkie lived on a rock farm. That's why she knows all about rocks."
"So, you're here to help us with our powers?" Olivia asked.
"Well, yeah. That's why we're here." Derpy said as she stood on the stable. "To help the Order of the Stone with their new powers!"
"Um, please don't stand on the table." Petra said.
"Sorry. I just don't know what went wrong." Derpy said, sitting back on her chair.
"Yeah. It's a mystery."
"So, you guys are actually here to help us?" Axel asked.
"Of course." Timber replied. "Why wouldn't we?"
"Well, it all went like this." Gabby said. "We all got letters from Celestia, went to Canterlot, and Celestia sent us here to help you humans."
"How did you and Starlight even manage to get here?" Petra wanted to know.
"Let's just say that we snuck into a cruise ship." Gabby said, seeing wide-eyed looks on the Order as she laughed. "Just kidding! We traveled by boat and asked for directions from a sailor."
"And, how was that for you?" Jesse asked.
"It was okay, I guess..." Zephyr replied. "Speaking of cruise ships, I would love to go on one. I heard cruise ships are a luxury. If I were to go there, I would totally get my hair done. Oh! And I would-"
"We get the point." The Order said.
"It was our first time on the Human Island." Maud said as she took out a small rock from her pocket. "Even Boulder was shy since he saw a lot of humans, so he hid in my pocket."
"Do you always take that rock everywhere you go?" Petra asked while pointing at Maud's rock.
"Yes."
"I'm not sure if I should be surprised or confused." Olivia whispered to Sunset.
"So, you guys are only here to help us?" Lukas asked.
"We're not just here to help." Thorax said. "We're also here to protect your town from Midnight Sparkle."
"Speaking of Midnight Sparkle, how often does she sleep?" Jesse asked.
"Never. She never sleeps until she gets all the power she needs to help the Alliance take over Equestria. Right now, I believe that the reason why she's only coming here to get your powers is just set the Alliance free from their prison."
"Is that why she's coming for us?" Petra asked.
"I think so. I'm not really sure yet, but we'll get a chance to figure it out. Right?"
Hearing Thorax's question, the other Equestrians agreed.
"So, Thorax." Olivia said. "Ever since we fought the Alliance, I have been really curious about the Changelings. What do you guys usually feed on."
"Um, us Changelings usually steal food from each other, but I'm nothing like that." Thorax looked down at his meal. "Speaking of food, what is this chunky liquid in a bowl anyway?"
"Soup." Lukas replied.
"Oh." Suddenly, Thorax plopped his faced into the bowl of soup as he started sucking all of it into his mouth. As the Changeling swallowed his soup whole and looked at the Order, he saw wide eyes on their faces. "Ah! Sorry! Us Changelings don't really have good table manners."
"We noticed." Petra said.
As Sunset reached for her pockets, she pulled out a silver pocket watch and looked at the time. "Oh! I think it's getting late. We should probably head to bed."
"Speaking of, we don't really have a place to sleep here." Derpy said. "You humans have a hotel here, right?"
"We do, but you guys can sleep in our rooms if you want." Jesse said.
"Really?" Gabby said, seeing Jesse hold up his thumb. "Yeah! We're so going to have the time of our lives!"
"I know I said Thorax was disturbing, but I find Gabby even more disturbing." Petra whispered to Sunset.
