2 Bats and 6 ponies

On Twilight's balcony Bruce was standing in the wind, not moving, relaxing and trying to forget past events. Six hours ago, Pinkie Pie had brought up parents and that hit some hidden emotions resurface. Before things got ugly Bruce walked out and found his way to the balcony, where he has spent the remaining time of the party.

Six hours ago:  After the bat left Terry came up and did what he could to comfort Pinkie. "You will have to forgive him, he has had a rather rough child hood, I'm not going into detail but please try to understand things from his eyes. He's a detective, a  crime fighter, but deep down he's a lost soul." Pinkie looked up at the young bat and nodded, now sensing that this guy isn't one for kid like parties like she is. After awhile Pinkie  was back setting up games and got Terry in some of them, in pin the tail on the donkey his throw was near inches from its mark, even after being spun around by Rainbow dash.  Bobbing for apples he was out matched by Applejack, big time. After sometime it was cake and present time and the cake was massive, even for a crowd this size. The cake was dark blue with purple frosting that read HAPPY 10Tth BIRTHDAY NYX. The cake was by far the best he has ever had, he even got Pinkieshy to save a piece for old Bruce, then it was present time, and Nyx got a variety of presents, ranging from necklaces, books, and a special gift from her "sister" of the night, Luna, it was  moon crystal, it was a crystal that captures the moon light and can be used as a calm nightlight.

After the guests left the girls and Terry started cleaning up and it was rather easy, move some tables and chairs back, take down the decorations and what ever was left over was put in containers and was storage in Twilight's fridge. During clean up Terry took off his mask and told the group his name and now the call him Terry unless they were on some kind of adventure. While the group was cleaning up Nyx left the room and was now look, I got for Batman and along the way she bumped into Spike.

"Hey have you seen the other Batman?"

"Uumm... last I saw him, he was heading for the balcony."

"Thanks Spike."

With that, the black alicorn went to the balcony and saw Batman standing in the wind, his eyes closed and was slowly breathing, enjoying the cool breeze. "What is it?" Bruce asked without even looking at her, stopping in her tracks Nyx was quiet, stunned that he knew that she was near him.

"Can you please come back to the party,  Pinkie is very sorry for offending you."

Bruce remained quiet  before answering. "Fine" Bruce growled, smiling Nyx lead him back to the party. Once back he saw that everyone was doing different jobs cleaning, Terry, who took off his mask and gauntlets was with Rainbow dash up high cleaning confetti streamers, Rarity and and Starlight were packing tables, Fluttershy and Applejack were putting away food, Pinkie was helping Spike in the kitchen and Twilight was calling out the shots. "Mom wants us to help with the tables" Nyx said. Nodding, Bruce removed his gauntlets and cape and went to the closest table and with in seconds they packed the table, and with in minutes they packed twelve tables while Rarity and Starlight packed the remaining six.

Hours past the castle was clean and now they were heading home, Terry went with Rainbow Dash while Bruce stayed at the castle. They wired their communicators so they can still contact each other when trouble shows up. And before he left, Twilight put a cloud walking spell on the young bat.

With Bruce: The old bat was in the library, reading the history of equstria, how it was founded and the evil that plagued it for a few centuries. He took mental notes of the windigos and King Sombra. Hearing the doors open, Bruce glanced up and saw the princess of friendship and she had a nervous look on her face.

"What's wrong?"

Freezing in her tracks Twilight was now a little sketchy. "Uumm...I was wondering if I can ask you a few questions?" Putting the book down on the table Bruce motioned Twilight to take a seat. "Thanks you" she said as she walked to the couch and sat in front of him.

"What would you like to know ?"

Twilight smiled at that question  giving Bruce a sense of dread. "Why can't we know your real name like Terry?"

"You will have to gain my trust in order to know that. And I don't like exposing my identity."

"OK next one. Why a bat?"

"It helps strike terror in the hearts of criminals."

Twilight shivered at that answer. "Why did you get mad at Pinkies remark?"

"Next one"

"But...."

"Next" Bruce growled.

Over with Rainbow Dash: she and Terry were getting along very well they have already beaten each other at different challenges, RD won at arm wrestling despite Terry's suit that enhances his strength, and she won at the speed race while Terry won at stealth and reflexes, now they were chiling in Rainbow's living room. She was curled up with her head down on her hooves and Terry was stretched out on her couch.

"I still can't believe that you  stumbled into the cave, stole the suit and know your the new batman that's nuts"

"Yeah but it's worth it...most of the time it sucks when I'm on a date though."

Rainbow laughted at his last remark. As night fell Dash fell asleep on the couch and Terry put a blanket over her before fling off to the village. Upon arrival Terry noticed that Bruce was bouncing from rooftop to rooftop and before long his communicator came to life. "Terry fly over the north and west of the village, I'll take south and east." "Got it boss" Terry quickly replied and flew north. The night was extremely quiet and the young bat was enjoying it, once every two hours they would meet at town square report anything then they go back on patrol. As the night dragged on and dawn was upon them, they headed back to their new adopted homes, Bruce landed on the balcony and Terry went back to Rainbow's place and she was still zonked out.

Over with Princess Cadence was at the cavran of reflection and she has been here for well over two weeks and she was looking for a crystal that heals wounds and after defeating the challenge she needed it. Finding the crystal, she placed her Hoof on it and soon it and her started glowing red and her brusies were gone. Sighing in relief she soon hears a whisping sound behind her, looking around for anything she saw something long thought defeated.

"You?....But we defeated you."

At the Crystal empire Shining armor was sitting in the throne room with Flurry heart waiting for his wife to come back but as the hours tick by Cadence was a no show and it was unsettling him. Summoning his magic he brought forth paper, ink and a quill and wrote to his sister.

Dear Twilight

Cadence went to the cavran of reflection and she's  been there for well over two weeks and she hasn't returned. It might be nothing or it's something serious either way I'm sending you to see what's going on. She was searching for a healing gem in the cavran a week ago and she should have been back four days ago.

Shinning called for a guard, gave him the letter and he headed straight to the train station, and was now on a two day trip to Ponyville.
